Its a cool little shopping area, different than most.
Easy in and out shopping center with good parking, especially under the shade of the Redwoods at the South End. Very good businesses there include Deluxe foods of Aptos, fine wine and liquor store, dry cleaner, a CVS Pharmacy, and the Bank of America branch. On the upper level there are some destination businesses and offices. Over the years I have found the Deer Park Marketplace probably the easiest to deal with of the local shopping centers. What are you therefore I am full of shopping expedition to Deluxe Foods or dropping in to find something on the way home I just find it its a really easy place to go in and out and dont get quality Goods.
Its clean dont get me wrong, but the people there are rude, working, or not. Double park you no personal space. But its also Aptos... To each there own.
Best shopping mall in Rio Del Mar. Almost everything you might need, all in one place. Crowded with wealthy Aptos shoppers.
Check out the businesses on the upper mall! Optical shop, hair salon, nail salon, tattoo artist, interior designer, insurance agency, dentist, laser hair service, travel,tutoring, pizza, employment agency andmore … the optical shop has been there 42 years!
Nice spot. Multi-level. Lots of choices. They have an elevator for upper level, but it doesnt stand out. They should have signage for it.

Deer Park is okay but the red apple restaurant is simply the best breakfast place in Santa Cruz county that I have ever experienced.
Whats not to love?!?! Perfect small gourmet grocery store...always perfect...happy helpful employees. ..excellant meat, produce, deli, bakery...sushi and coffee bars...clean well stocked...lots of parking...simply perfect
A small group of varied businesses with a shared parking lot. The UPS store is the most recognizable one. In and out traffic can be a little tight.

I never knew there are more businesses in the back until I visited the Red Apple cafe. I had only seen the gas station & atm, when I shopped for groceries.
Its ok. Seems pretty dead other then at deluxe and the itty bitty CVS next door.
