I have been going to D&E for years! As a woman Aaron, the owner, always makes sure my concerns are heard and he always makes sure I understand everything about my car. Yesterday I went in for an oil change and his office staff was so friendly and welcoming! My oil change was done within an hour too so the fast service is always a huge bonus! They also offer financing if your repairs are out of your budget and they always work with you. I couldn’t ask for a better mechanic!

First of I would like to say that Kayla is an amazing customer support person. They are always very lovely to speak to and always willing to answer all questions even if it takes a bit. The work provided is always top notch and they have my full confidence that when they say work needs to get done that I am not being lied to.I have taken my Hyundai to them multiple times and they always manage to get it fixed up. The pricing is always fair and given up front before work gets done to give you the opportunity to decide if you want to continue. I reccommend them to everyone when they have an issue with their cars.

Thank you Aaron!Very disappointed.I called D&E to get an oil change for my Toyota Camry 4 days before my appt (Tuesday). They got me scheduled for that Friday. They were polite and attentive on the phone so I was grateful for the service then.When I went in, the front desk (Kayla) said my oil change was going to come out to $160 for a full synthetic oil change. I was shocked as I have never paid over $100 for an oil change (I don’t drive a luxury car or truck). I asked another employee why it was so high and even he mentioned it was higher than normal.When Kayla came back in to the lobby I asked again & requested a price breakdown, she then proceeded to explain the difference from synthetic + conventional (I knew the difference), after more questions, she said she would talk to her boss to see why the “oil was coming in way higher on price” . After about another +5 minutes she proceed to say that they were able to “miraculously drop the price” after I had already waited over an hour and a half because they had to “special order” the oil.Overall very disappointed with the experience & service as they pride themselves on being honest & having integrity.Sadly, it was another case of a woman being taken advantage of for trying to do something as simple as an oil change. I don’t recommend.

D&E provided stellar communication throughout my repair. Technicians were thorough and provided photographs of there work. To top it all of, staff is friendly and prices are reasonable. My ol Honda has never sounded better. Definitely would recommend to others.

Kindness, Professionalism and Results.I was referred to D & E by a friend for some major repair work on my cars engine. I was met by Bill, one of the service writers and went over my concerns. He had the car diagnosed in a day and I went ahead with the repairs. Had a small hiccup when I got the car back and returned to the shop the same day.I was immediately met by Matt, the mechanic that did the work on my car who without question or attitude came right out to address and repair my concerns. (it turned out to be nothing).This is a solid shop with employees that CARE about what they are doing and will work with you to make things right.

Always get a second opinion if youre looking to use this mechanic. They tried to convince me to have work done on my vehicle that was unnecessary. After running limited diagnostic testing they called to tell me that the cost for repairing catalytic converters would be more than $5000. I was shocked so I had a different professional look at it for their opinion. Turns out their was and still is no major issues with my vehicle. If youre looking for basic work to be done and know what youre getting done before going in then Im sure theyre fine otherwise use caution.

The young lady answering the phone was very polite but not informed once so ever. Told me they could work on hybrid vehicles top to bottom. Had towed along with the information/code my scanner gave me. They do not work on computer systems with hybrid vehicles because the dont have the right equipment to clear or flash software. Long story short left with the same information that i came with. Along with a bill & an extra tow fee. Had towed to Boradori in chico. They have certified mechanics with the certified tools. Wasnt a good experience. Felt shameful I had to talk down my 3hr diagnostic bill to1hr.

First time using D&E, for a oil change in our Prius. Very nice people, average pricing. Gave a very detailed printout of up coming services and pricing, with no up sell pressure.

Friendly Staff, brought my car in to have a diagnostic and repair to smog. They found the problem and fixed it at no extra charge and smoged it for me in one day. I will be going to them for all my automotive repairs. Thank you D&E Auto repair.

D&E Auto Repair is a wonderful local auto-shop here in Chico. They fixed up my Toyota on the same day they did my complimentary inspection alongside my oil change. The speed and efficiency at which they were able to get the needed parts and perform the needed maintenance was splendid. The two woman handling the front desk were also absolutely lovely. They weren’t pushy with getting me to approve of more things for them to fix which I appreciate greatly. Their website they use to access your estimate is also a really handy one that’s easy to use. I would absolutely recommend D&E to anyone in need of an oil change or any sort of service.
