I recently had an excellent experience at Dr. Gilbert office at the Inland Institute. From start to finish, the entire team was incredibly patient, kind, and caring. Every step of the procedure was explained throughly, and all my questions were answered with great detail.Dr. Gilbert himself was great. He took the time to discuss all my options for wisdom tooth extraction and made sure I understood each one. His caring demeanor and clear explanation put me at ease immediately.Every staff member was equally amazing. Each member explained their role and what to expect, making me feel comfortable throughout my visit. Their attentiveness and kindness made the whole process much smoother and less stressful.Post-op care was also explained in detail, ensuring I knew exactly how to take care of myself after the procedure. Overall, I had a great experience and felt very well taken care of. I highly recommend Dr. Gilbert and his team at the Inland Institute.

Yesterday my daughter had an appointment with Dr. Gilbert at Inland Institute in Upland to have 3 wisdom teeth removed. We were greeted with a smile and the entire process was quick & efficient. Dr. Gilbert & staff were very calming and informative to myself and my daughter. After the procedure was done, we received excellent discharge instructions and my daughter went home with great confidence that she will not have anymore issues with her wisdom teeth. Dr. Gilbert is an exceptional oral surgeon who recently performed a complex procedure on my mom. Her case was turned down by other dentists due to its difficulty, but Dr. Gilbert took it on with confidence and skill. From the initial consultation to the post-operative care, his professionalism and expertise were evident. He explained everything clearly and coordinated with her prosthodontist throughout the process, making us feel at ease. The surgery was a success, and my mother is recovering wonderfully. Darlene, the treatment coordinator, was very helpful and everyone in the office was truly professional, knowledgeable and compassionate. We are grateful for Dr. Gilberts dedication and highly recommend him to anyone in need of top-notch oral surgery care.

I got my dental implant procedure done at Dr. Gilbert’s clinic few days back.The ambiance of his clinic & the friendly and cooperative staff has been very welcoming. Whenever I called the clinic, my phone call was attended immediately and all my queries & questions were answered in a courteous and comprehensive way.Regarding my Dental Implant Procedure, it was very smooth & flawless. I didn’t feel any pain or swelling after the surgery. My experience at Dr.Gilberts Inland Institute office was a phenomenal one and I seriously could not be more grateful/appreciative for the amazing care I was given during my appointment!From the moment I walked in, the staff was so friendly and welcoming ( especially I believe it was Eva at the front desk the kindest woman!) and immediately I felt more relaxed for my appointment!Additionally, my care team consisting of Dr. Gilbert, Shaina, and Jacky were the absolute best! They were so professional, kind, and supportive towards me throughout the entire experience from x-rays to surgery. I’m naturally an anxious person surrounding anything medical but they made me feel so comfortable and relaxed that I had no worries at all! I’ve started a dental implant and have a fear of dentists. Dr Gilbert’s staff recognize and work with my fear to make this process easier. Step one is getting an appt and I was grateful to get in quicker than most offices in the county had for availability-having a shorter wait time prevented anxiety from building up. He also puts a lot of effort into educating patients on the process. I felt more secure knowing exactly what to expect.

This is by far an above 5 star review. My daughter had 2 implants placed and a bone grafting done today by Dr. Gilbert. From the time we walked in and were greeted by Yvette who was super sweet and explained every detail to having Dr. Gilbert come out himself and also greet us, was very warm feeling especially for my daughter. We were kept informed of everything that was going on and when she was done. Highly recommend Dr. Gilbert for any implant or bone grafting procedure.

Just had my second oral surgery/implant procedure with Dr. Gilbert. It was more complicated than my first oral surgery/implant procedure with the same excellent experience. Got my wisdom teeth out 2 weeks ago and it couldn’t have gone any smoother. The assistants, anesthesiologist and of course Dr. Gilbert were so kind, thorough, and professional. This was my first experience with oral surgery so I had nothing to compare it to. Having said that, the procedure went far more smoothly than I had anticipated. The office staff were friendly and professional. The procedure took about an hour (two implants placed). Im posting this one day post-surgery and there is very little swelling or discomfort. I can recommend Dr. Gilbert without reservation.

Dr.Gilbert was recommended to me for extraction of an infected molar with an old root canal. From start to finish -- the initial consult to surgery and follow-up -- the experience was first rate. Dental extraction may be very common but definitely is NOT a trivial dental procedure. It is oral surgery and I am happy mine was done by an experienced oral surgeon with the high standards, experience and expertise of Dr. Gilbert and his staff. My daughter had a stubborn tooth that wouldnt move into place. She was sent to Dr. Gilbert to have a bracket with a chain placed surgically on the tooth. Her experience was great. I am a 27 year old woman, but I am a HUGE baby when it comes to surgery and pain. The staff who helped me were absolutely wonderful, especially Shauna. She was not assigned to me but she saw me crying as other staff started hooking blood pressure and heart monitors up to me. After referral referral from my primary doctor I was finally referred to Dr. Gilbert for a few Lumps in my face, my very first visit to Dr. Gilberts office I felt so welcome clean nice and definitely took the Covid precautions. Yesterday 12-28-2020 Dr. David Gilbert an Oral Surgeon in Upland removed the last 3 Wisdom teeth left in my mouth. I was a little concerned because the 1st Wisdom tooth I had extracted was a horrible experience. Everyone in Dr. Gilbert’s office played key roles, from scheduling my appointment to consultation, X-ray’s, the nurses that prepped me for my surgery, the Anesthesiologist and most of all Dr. Gilbert who performed my extractions. It seems like I had just faded into Twilight and next thing you know they said my name and said you are all done. I was shocked that it went so quick and so smoothly and I felt no pain when I left there. I highly recommend this group to anyone that has to have an Oral Surgery if they want the best care and highly professional people. Customer service is huge because people have choices. I scheduled both of my teenagers to have their wisdom teeth pulled out on the same day, which was a little nerve racking as it was. My son was calm, and my daughter was really scared and crying. The nurse spent time helping to ease all of our worries, answered questions, and explained the process from start to finish! Then, Dr. Gilbert came in and spent time going over the same information! My gums were swelling up due to pericoronitis and it was time to get my wisdom teeth taken out. All four of my wisdom teeth were taken out by Dr Gilbert and he did an excellent job. I also want to give credit to the technicians, Reina and Shauna for easing my nerves before surgery by providing me a warm blanket.I had very minimal swelling and pain post surgery. Procedure was very quick and painless since I was sedated.I got a follow up phone call from Reina a week after the surgery to check up on how Im healing. Dr. Gilbert and his staff were amazing! My son had a poor reaction to getting an IV. The majority of the office staff were there to help and get him stabilized. The staff remained calm, professional, and patient during the situation as well as while they waited for him to completely recover in order to proceed with surgery. Mac (anesthesiologist) was so helpful in getting my sons vitals to stabilize. Thank you Dr. Gilbert to you and your team.

Dr. David Gilbert was absolutely sensational when we went to the Inland Institute to have our daughters wisdom teeth removed. Shes had a history of medical trauma and although shes a very strong girl, anxiety and fear still run through her when having a surgery like this. Dr. Gilbert was impressive, extremely impressive. His patience, calmness, confidence, empathy and genuine care for my daughter instantly created a trust and confidence in him that is very rare and that gave both my wife and I a level of comfort and peace that our daughter was going to be just fine during her surgery. He had HER best interests in mind while doing the surgery and we could see that he eased our daughters anxiety and fear. We couldnt have been happier with Dr. Gilbert, all of the staff that we interacted with and the office in general. This was the best possible experience that we could have had given the circumstances. Recommending Dr. Gilbert and the Inland Institute is a given and I would even go further by saying if youre going to have oral surgery, and you dont think of Dr. Gilbert as an option, youd be making a huge mistake.

This facility was so clean! The staff were very thorough & made sure to accommodate to my questions, concerns, & needs. I got a bit emotional before the surgery but I was reassured that I was in good hands. They put my worries & fears at ease. I appreciate them comforting me while I was emotional. The front office ladies where very welcoming and greeted me with a smile today. I was very anxious about saying goodbye to #19 and the implant procedure. Jesus helped me and even allowed me to be nervously quirky with some dumb jokes by letting me share that “today’s song” was “Hey 19” by Steely Dan. He even let me play it. He was very thorough explaining everything and he did it with patience and a smile. I signed my life away after Dr Gilbert came in to sit down and answer even more important questions. He was super attentive, also joked with me and assured me they’d make sure pain meds would be given through the procedure and after (I’m anxious about pain). The entire staff were helpful to each other, polite and genuinely happy as they worked. Then the “Magic Man”-the anesthesiologist- came in and the party started. Because of the drugs, I don’t remember his name…but I am very grateful he was there. Thank you all for being so wonderful and for holding my hand through this process. I recommend Inland Institute to everyone.

I moved from Glendora to Bakersfield and I still make the drive all the way from Bakersfield to see Dr. Gilbert in Upland. I got to the office around 1:45 PM for my 215 PM appointment. 5 stars isnt enough to describe how absolutely amazing this place and the staff are. I came here for a tooth extraction so was naturally nervous. The staff completely made me feel comfortable and at home. The rooms and chairs were extremely comfortable and the warm blanket they give makes you even more relaxed. Dr. Gilbert is superb. He goes above and beyond in detail to explain everything to you and let you know all possible options. He noticed health concerns immediately that no one else has noticed. An overall great experience. During my consultation for my wisdom teeth removal they made sure to explain everything to me so that I would understand the pros and cons of each treatment for wisdom teeth. Then when they removed them to operation went smoothly with no complications. My daughters have had oral surgery with Dr. Gilbert a collective total of 7 times (extractions of baby teeth that would not fall out on their own, bone grafting in preparation for tooth implants and wisdom teeth removal). Their first surgeries were at 8 years old and continued until age 18. Even when they were very young, we felt very safe with Dr. Gilbert. Each surgery went without a hitch. He is very careful to explain the surgeries fully and to spend time to connect with the patient to relieve their anxiety. Dr. Gilbert has the wonderful combination of being a skilled surgeon and a warm and caring human being. We all highly recommend him and his staff (all of them are fantastic as well).

Really glad I chose to come here for my wisdom teeth removal. My recovery process has been so well and easy going, I thought it was going to be a lot worse due to other people’s personal experiences but I haven’t been in any pain or discomfort whatsoever. I could tell the very first time I met him that I was not just another patient to him, and that he not only cared about me as a human being, he also treated me as an individual. This bar far has been the best dental experience in my 54 year of life.I have worked in the dental field for over 20 years and I have seen good and bad. I needed oral surgery and was a bit scared and these people (All of them) made me feel so comfortable and took there time to explain everything and to answer ALL of my questions. They even let my husband come back to be with me all the way until they put me to sleep. There office is so beautiful, clean, and not like a hospital or dental setting at all. This is by far one of the best places to go for oral care and oral surgery. My girlfriend had 4 wisdom teeth removed today and Dr. Gilbert and his staff made it a walk in the park. He was very Condescending at first he had a lot of questions for me since I was a new patient and I have a lot of health issues. I was addressing my health problems one by one.I understood this these questions were very important. What did not understand? At first I thought it was bad bed side manner.. Which a lot of surgeons have a no nonsense attitude. I get that!I get that since I’ve had 19 surgeries within 24 years and he was very stern on his delivery. I understand he has to watch out for me the patient, and his self.I got that! And I have much respect for him and his staff! All patients need to be responsible for there health issues and life the way they may live them. I get that!What I don’t get is the Condescending part. I had a post put in today with general anesthesia. Dr. Gilbert’s entire staff are ultimate professionals and made my experience so comfortable! There were several staff in the room during the procedure and everyone including Dr Gilbert were always checking ithat I was ok and before I knew it the procure was done! At a different office I had a post done and it took 3 hours and I left in pain. I’ve been home 4 hours and don’t even need a pain pill. To me that is a sign of an excellent surgeon. Dr Gilbert had also previously removed the tooth I’m replacing and when I had a question about a bump they had me come right in and Dr Gilbert saw me personally, took an X-ray and reassured me all was ok. I had to get 4 wisdom teeth taken out in a single visit. I was terrified of getting anesthesia, but the staff made me feel extremely comfortable. They even gave me a warm blanket while I was on the operating table and a free Jamba Juice smoothie once the procedure was done. I felt absolutely no pain after the procedure. I only took 1 Norco. I didnt need any after that. This guy is very professional and kind to his patients. Would highly recommend.

I went back to Dr GIlbert for my 4th implant after he did my first two implants ten years ago and as always, had a great experience. He is just the best in his field and does such fine work. When it comes to your smile, good and aesthetic work is very important. Love Dr Gilbert! Not only is he great at what he does but he cares so much about your pain and making sure you are not having any!! Everyone at his dental institute was very calming, caring and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend.

Everything there is nice, the clinic is clean and it sm are professional, nice and accommodating, they are all friendly and best part they will make you feel your not alone. Dr. Gilbert is very precise and professional on what he is going to do and explains to you all the details of your procedure base on your xray, ct scan, and his studies. All in all it was a great experience and i feel safe and i highly recommend them.

From the moment you introduce yourself to the front of house staff, the warm welcome received, the humor and positive energy passed and all the way through the one on one with Dr. David Gilbert nothing but professional and beyond self assurance that your experience here at the Inland Institute will be on a level all its own. Sadly I am one of those who elects to procrastinate and always push dental necessity out the window.
