After my Invisalign treatment in the Bay areaI realized that I needed a permanent retainer on my bottom teeth.As always, I checked around a bit and I called a few orthodontists and didn’t get good feeling until I called Datwyler Orthodontics. Deanna was professional and accommodating and just a really nice person to deal with. Dr Datwyler was awesome and said my teeth were a go for a permanent retainer, so 30 minutes later all done.Very reasonably priced, if you’re looking for Invisalign, braces or just a trustworthy orthodontist, I would say you found your doctor.

Dr Datwyler and team are the most welcoming, competent, reasonable, organized and friendly orthodontic office I’ve experienced! Dr Datwyler created two beautiful smiles in my family. My girls were always excited to go to the office. Who is ever excited to go to an orthodontist?! ;-) The staff was friendly and made the experience fun with creative contests to build great dental habits.The entire process, from years of watching and screening for when they would need to start treatment, to permanent retainers at the end. The attention to detail and unquestionably great skill (one of my daughters had some challenging teeth and her smile is now perfect!) along with the fabulous staff and their entire no pressure approach is what has made us lifetime Datwyler fans!

So happy we found this office! After moving was having a very hard time finding an Orthodontist to take over as my daughter already had her braces on. Once I contacted them, they were so helpful and welcoming! Everyone I have encountered in the office is amazing! Every last one of them! Made the stress of switching half way through so much easier! Dr. Datwyler helped my smile go from an overcrowded, buck-tooth mess to a beautiful smile that I feel so confident in. Absolutely incredible experience! I went in to be seen as a candidate for braces (2nd time) and the staff at Dr. Datwyler including Dr. D himself will just go above and beyond for you. Total customer care. I spoke with Jessica who initially scheduled my consultation appointment and she was so friendly and was able to get me an appointment literally for the next day. Jessica introduced herself immediately and she made my experience very comforting and made my initial impression top tier.Deanna did my X-rays and she was great! She did not rush me at any point and she was very thorough with her work making sure all images were captured. She also helped with my paperwork and worked around what best suited me as far as treatment. She answered all of my questions and was extremely helpful!!Big shoutout to Katie who prepped my teeth for my braces to be put on!!! (yes, I was able to get them on the same day even with their busy schedule). Katie was so gentle and kept asking about my comfort level to make sure nothing was hurting or poking me and she was super attentive to my needs! Katie is phenomenal. Lots of experience in the field and she will make sure youre taken care off. Highly recommend Katie!& Dr. D - Right off the bat made a great first impression. There are a lot of talented orthodontists in town. Its true! I chose Datwyler Orthodontics based on glowing reviews and also location. I am VERY happy I made that decision! The staff is warm, welcoming, funny, silly, all while being very professional and great at what they do. Dr. Datwyler is the same and has clearly built a practice that values his staff and clientele and maintains an excellent environment.My teenage son wanted to pursue Invisalign, which I was nervous about. The team assured us that if he didnt follow his trays and the recommended protocol after three months, theyd put metal braces on his teeth and go forward from there. I was reassured at that point and never looked back! I also think that made him nervous enough to take it seriously! He completed his treatment in 2022 (on time and without hassle) and I have nothing but glowing reviews for the entire process! I highly recommend Dr. D and his staff to everyone (adult and child) seeking orthodontic care. Plus, the music in the office is top notch! :)

If you are looking for a fantastic orthodontist with a great team, look no further than Dr. Datwyler. As an adult, I was apprehensive about getting a consultation because, over the years, I was told by two other orthodontists that my bite was terrible and I would need surgery to fix it. Braces were not in my future, and I lived unhappily with my smile for over two decades.Fast forward several years, and my daughter had a specialized case that Dr. Datwyler successfully treated. Seeing his great work, it couldnt hurt to hear what he had to say about my teeth. After my consultation, Dr. Datwyler explained what I had going on and that he could treat me through modern brackets and bands. I was in disbelief, but knowing how awesome he was with my daughters braces, I nervously decided to move forward.I wore my bands religiously for two years and eight months. You can see improvement when covered in brackets and bands, but nothing like once everything is finally removed.What I saw was a complete transformation in my smile. I immediately shed all those years of insecurity and was left speechless. I thought about the thousands of pictures where I never fully smiled. Although embarrassing to say, I must have looked at my teeth 100 times on my way home that day.Dr. Datwylers staff is so personable, professional, and kind; going in for follow-ups was always enjoyable. I was referred to Dr. Datwyler by a friend when I was looking for an Orthodontist in town. I have always been nervous about going to a Dentist or an Orthodontist, but when I walked into Datwyler Orthodontics seeking an Invisilign treatement, I was greeted with big smiles, encouragement and amazing service. The entire team is very attentive, they explain everything in detail and encourage the patient to ask questions and lean on them for clarifications around treatment. It has been over two years that me and my wife have worked with Dr D’s office. We were in Folsom area initially and moved to the Bay Area. It was tough to continue to drive back. My son was very nervous about getting braces but I would like to make a special acknowledgment to Jack who was so gentle with him. She was funny, explained what she was doing and what was next. She kept checking in on him to make sure he was doing ok. Afterwards she gave great tips about caring for his braces. Dr Datwyler was the orthodontist I chose as an adult. He was amazing and I am happy with my smile and even more satisfied with the jaw pain relief I received with proper alignment! It has been quite an adventure having braces at my age of 69. When I had my braces initially I was 67, and I have had to have 3 teeth removed. It looks like I will still have them at the age of 70 for awhile, but I have stubborn teeth! So, I have gotten to know Dr. Datwyler and the staff quite well.One of the things that I love about the office in general is the friendliness of everyone there. It is truly a joy to go and get my braces adjusted except for the fact that for a few days my teeth are sensitive. But, I know that every time that I go to the office that the staff is going to do an excellent job. They genuinely care about each patient!!Another thing that has truly impressed me is that Dr. Datwyler is so encouraging to his staff. In fact, when I learned what he was going to do for his staff for Christmas, taking them for a Spa weekend, I was trulytouched. I encouraged Dr. D by saying, So many people who can do for others are selfish, but you are demonstrating the true spirit of giving. What a fantastic office! My daughter actually asked for braces on her Christmas list 2 years ago... Dr. Ds office let me put a big red bow on her chair and really got into the spirit of surprising her. (Yes, she actually needed braces we didnt just get them for her because she asked for Christmas. Hahaha)The office is always accommodating and friendly and definitely goes above and beyond to make kids feel comfortable. My daughter was really nervous at the end to get them off. She was afraid it was going to hurt, and after talking to the office prior to her appointment, they made notes in her chart and made sure to check with her periodically during the removal process to make sure she was comfortable. After going to multiple consultations and receiving 3 different treatment plans for my daughter, we had a tough decision to make. We chose Dr. Datwyler for many reasons. He offered a state of the art treatment plan, without over-treating. As a Mom, you want your child to feel comfortable with any medical professional that may be treating them. For the past several years I have had some challenges with my bite. I had braces as a teenager but as an adult my bite had seriously changed and after trying all kinds of different things with various dentists I was faced with having braces again. My husband and I appreciated the way Dr. D evaluated all 3 of our kids’ teeth for years prior to treatment. He “kept watch” as teeth fell out, new ones took their place and the kids grew and changed. When he saw it was time to get them in braces, we felt confident we were investing in their smile to get the best result in the most efficient time frame. If early treatment was necessary, he would have caught it. Our 2 teen sons just got their braces removed. One was in braces 20 months, the other 27 months. Their smiles look fantastic!! My skepticism was quickly set aside by the teams professionalism, understanding my needs and the results.In my case, I was able to use Invisalign for treatment and was happy with the process from beginning to end. As an added bonus Dr. D helped me understand that, with proper alignment, the need for further dental work (cavities and such) as I get older will be reduced. So it was about more than just looks.
