Darren took the time to talk to me to see what I needed and let me know exactly what hed be doing. He took my specific needs into consideration, made me feel very at ease, and communicated with me throughout our session. It is obvious he cares about his clients and has a passion for his craft. Im very much looking forward to future sessions.Update: Recently had my second session with Darren. Again the session was fantastic and Im feeling great. Darren has really improved my mobility and alleviated the pain Ive been experiencing. Cant wait to visit again and keep up the momentum.

Darren is a fabulous masseur—sensitive, very present to the entire experience; his energy is calming, soothing, yet strong & deliberate. He adapts various techniques such as hot rocks & infrared light if desired. I felt totally renewed & cared for.

Darren is a gift. My 1st massage was the best hour massage I have had in my life. I almost didn’t believe it and I sent a friend and she felt the same way. I now have bought a package and I’m making a regular 1.5 hour true investment in my self. He listens, knows what pressure you need, makes you feel comfortable, and the hot stones and infrared light just melt your tension away. So happy I found him.

Darren has an intuitive, healing touch. Deep tissue work can be nerve wracking without strong trust in the massage therapist. Darrens skill and proactive communication create the foundation of trust that make intense, therapeutic work possible. Darren also strives to create a safe space for all bodies. As a queer and trans person, I deeply appreciate being able to fully relax the way I can with Darren. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend massage therapy with Darren - he is very aware of where bodily tension and blockages lie, and applying deep and tender pressure as needed. He is thoughtful and makes you feel safe, comfortable, and at peace. Also special given his yoga and aryuveda approach, and use of infrared heat and hot stones.

I had an amazing massage from Darren. My muscles were extremely wound up from driving, and physical labor. Darren was able to fit me in the same day and provided me with exactly what I needed. I would even say best massage in my life. As an athletic guy, I struggle to find therapist strong enough yet also gentle and patient. My body felt completely different the next day. I would highly recommend Darren and I will be booking again.

Darren is truly a gifted practitioner. After just one appointment with him, I have to say that I experienced the very best massage of my fairly long life. Empathic, intelligent, observant, and physically strong, he is exceedingly comfortable to be around, so knowledgable and kind and authentic -- a radiantly thoughtful presence. He listened attentively to problems with my left shoulder and in addition to the body work, he offered practical guidance as well as an incisive and valuable perspective on my bodys tension that Id not considered before. I would recommend Darren to anyone wanting to commit to body work or to do something nourishing for themselves. He is genuinely exceptional!

Darren is a truly wonderful and knowledgeable Massage Therapist. He creates a safe, therapeutic, and restorative space for every session. He takes his time to get to know you and understand what your body is experiencing and what your needs truly are, and takes the time to really educate you about what is happening and what will help your own healing journey. His grounding in mindfulness practices translates into an incredible gift for presence and a keen intuition that makes you feel as through you’re fully seen and heard. He is open to feedback about pressure and techniques and solicits that information from you to ensure there is a calibration that makes sense. In the past, I’ve had providers who hold on to beliefs about extreme pressure and/or their own techniques so much that I’ve not wanted to go back because the session was painful or unhelpful. Darren is not at all like that. In fact, exactly the opposite. He always checks in with you, educates you, and helps you. I find sessions with Darren completely healing and restorative. He’s incredibly caring and respectful. I never want the sessions to end because I feel like I am in such a good place under his care.

Like with everything he does, Darren approaches a massage with empathy, compassion and a tender heart. He has given me the gift of intelligent touch and left me relaxed and restored after every session. He can find a perfect balance between deep, trigger-point releases and soft, gentle Swedish-style rubbing. A massage from Darren is like a mini spa retreat. I’ve had many professional massages in my lifetime, and for me the thing that ultimately sets apart an excellent massage from merely a good one is the awareness and presence of the bodyworker. For what is a massage after all but a relationship that involves communication between two people… a massage is a conversation that takes place primarily without words and can be so much more than simply physical contact.Without awareness, a massage is left solely to technique as it relates to the physical body, but in addition to our physical history the body also stores our emotional history, our embodied psychology, and so much more.
