I spoke to Daniel in May of 2023 to discuss selling our condo. It was a rental at that time. In May 2024 the tenants moved and we enlisted Daniels help in listing the property. He did an incredible job we had more than one offer in 6 days above asking.Choosing Compass and the Ripper Group was an easy decision. His knowledge, patience and overall thoroughness from start to finish was over the top. I can’t imagine a better Real Estate Agent than Daniel Ripper. (And credit to Rocio Gonzalez and others at Compass Realty, who also helped.) I guess you could call me both a reluctant seller and a picky buyer. I loved my old home of 45 years: so conveniently located, so my style. But as I aged, it became more and more obvious that another place, with fewer entrance stairs and less yard maintenance would be best for me. I was nervous, asked SO many questions, and Daniel always got back with the answers to me, patient through months of searching; and always helping to find solutions to the difficulties I worried about. Now in my condo, which met my list of “must haves”, life is good.

When it came time to selling our house, Daniel was a no brainer. He asked me what I wanted, he then made some suggestions that would be best for the market, we listened and he got our house sold within weeks. The whole process was so easy and he was 100% honest. We even used the vendors he suggested for some of the repairs we needed done. From repairs, to listing, to staging, to the selling and then closing. Daniel was on top of everything. Mr. Ripper became my agent in December 2023. My home was sold in less than 2 months. I got the full amount of the price I asked for my home. Dan was available by text/email or phone almost any time, which made the process a whole lot easier. When I was unable to remove items from a close to allow an inspector to have access to the crawl space, Dan came and removed them and then came and put them back. I would recommend him highly as a Real Estate Agent.

Daniel went out of his way to assist this absentee landlord in selling my Rental house, which required a lot of work. I had 3 reantal houses I bought in 1975, 76, 77. I am a retired Berkeley Fire Fighter and decided to move to Sparks, Nv. to be near relatives and escape Ca. income taxes. Trying to maintain 3 Rental house 200 miles away was not working out well for me, so I decided to sell them and do 1031 exchanges for 3 Rental house near where I now live. The Richmond houses were old Redwood siding with asphalt shingle roofs, I decided to put vinyl siding on all 3 to improve their appearance (wish I had done this 20 years ago). We winter in Az. and we were there when the guy did the vinyl siding, Saniel kept checking on him and then supervised him when he replaced a window, removed paneling and painted one of the rentals getting it ready to sell. That one sold first at $140k over asking price in 2 days, the second one the tenants left very dirty and loaded with Cockroaches, i was back in Sparks by this time and went down and (with the help of some VERY nice neighbors, fixed it up and it sold in aobut 2 months. The 3rd one we got on the market too late and teh market turned so we ended up re-renting it for 18 months and then relisted it. NOw that the interest rates had gone up dramatically, although it was the largest and nicest of the 3, it took a few months before it sold. And sold for much less than the first house and we had to jump through some FHA Hoops to get the deal done. Daniel did a good job and I am a pretty tough negotiator. In the end to get the numbers to work,he cut his commission and I had to give the buyer a kickback towards their closing costs. Overall, I am happy, mainly to be totally out of Richmond! But I paid under $100k for the 3 houses back in the 1970s and solt them for around $2mil.

The Ripper Group went well above my expectations. I was in need of selling my house so that I could move out of state and purchase a new home. I was able to find the home I wanted out of state and made a contingent offer. The catch was the seller wanted to close in 6 weeks. My house in California wasn’t even listed yet. The Ripper group assured me that they could accomplish remodeling with new paint, flooring, fencing, and landscaping within 2 weeks and put my house on the market and sell within a month. I was highly doubtful, but they kept their promises and accomplished the goal. They made a stressful situation as painless as possible. I highly recommend them. They’ll get it done.

He was an excellent guide and advocate at every stage of the process.When my wife and I were touring open houses all over the bay area, Daniel was reliable and flexible, helping us schedule visits and coordinating adjustments for us on the fly. He got to know us and our needs, and struck the perfect balance between letting us guide our own search, and providing valuable perspective on everything from local markets to remodeling considerations for the houses we saw. I strongly recommend hiring realtor Daniel Ripper if youre selling or buying a house in the Bay Area. I researched reviews on Internet sites before choosing a realtor, and then had multiple phone interviews. Daniel was knowledgeable, personable, and best answered my questions. I Inherited a house with two brothers, and we didnt always see eye to eye! Even though we werent ready to put our house on the market, Daniel provided his knowledge and expertise freely. No other realtor followed up or provided the amount of detail Daniel did. When we decided to put the house on the market, Daniel presented a marketing plan to help maximize our returns. Daniel was tactful when dealing with each one of the brothers and was always available when needed. I thought we would drive him away, but Daniel stood in there and was candid and tactful throughout the process. Our house received multiple bids the first open house weekend, and we ended up closing a deal soon after. Throughout the whole process, Daniel provided his expert opinion and guided us.

Daniel encouraged me to stage the place, which helped for a quick sale that was over and above the asking price, which he calculated at a price point that would bring in multiple offers above asking. He also predicted the sale price, and then to my amazement we exceeded even that!
