The lady at the counter was exceptionally nice and very helpful on what we should get. I couldnt really decide so I got a couple options. The quiche was ok buy the sausage casserole was better. The banana bread and danishes were amazing but as a coffee shop the coffee was kind of lacking. I preferred their teas.

I had a delicious 12 ounce latte. Were it a 16 ounce latte, I doubt I would like it as much because I asked if they use one shot in a 16 ounce or two and they said one, just like the 12 ounce. So you get more of a milk taste which some people like who are not as much of a coffee snob and lover as I am.Because they use the same amount of espresso in a 12 ounce and a 16 ounce latte, I dont think I will return. Yes, I know I can add a shot but how I rate a really good coffee shop is that a good shop has a standard of having 1 shot in a 12 ounce and 2 shots in a 16 ounce without the coffee lover needing to order the 2nd shot as extra.

Honestly Ive been coming here for an entire month eating this sausage casserole and Ive lost more than 5 pounds its delicious and filling! Im working upstairs and having this place so close is a huge plus. Staff is always friendly - the line can get kinda long 4-5 people sometimes but the staff is always hustling on orders and friendly. Atmosphere is chill. Couches are a big plus, tables outside are decent. Five star!Pro: good food, good people, wifiCons: lines can get long 2-3 mins wait.

Coffee Latte was great! Tried the vegetarian frittata for the first time, it was delicious, and hearty! Service is good, but for the long line almost bout the door... there has to be more than two people attending both orders and for a barista. Place is casual, not too trendy but friendly and plenty of seating in and outside.

It was okay but I wont return.Parking was easy to find but 90 minute limit.There was only one person working so a line 3 customers deep took 10 minutes.There were a lot of flies and the place didnt look like it had been cleaned in a few days... it was about 10am on a Monday.I had high hopes for this place because they have a seperate room off to the side with more tables and seats...Also, there was a study group there watching videos at full volume about diarrhea so there was that.

Dagneys Coffee Co is a really great coffee shop with good beer on tap and wine by the glass. They have a nice amount of seating and are one of the few always places downtown that is open late. The staff are very friendly and the drinks that I have had have always been well made. They also have a nice amount of baked goods and snacks too, and also sell coffee beans. If you are looking for something to do after dinner or drinks downtown or just good coffee anytime and an alternative to the big brands, I definetly recommend it.

The drinks and atmosphere were good. The most impressive was the service though. Where there was a less than satisfactory turn out of a product (in this case a beer which was extra foamy and not quite cold because of equipment malfunction), they offered to get me a different one, which i said I could take the first drink, but since it was a little sub par, they said the next drink is free on us. I couldn’t turn that down, but it was not expected. That alone is what made me want to write a review. They also asked if the tea latte was good (which it was), but that if it weren’t, they’d replace that as well. With a policy like that, they’ll get repeat customers, and hopefully/likely get more desirable clients.

Cute spot in the downtown area of Bakersfield. Food was decent and coffee choices are generic, but plentiful. Biggest knock was that they are understaffed so the same person taking the orders is also making the coffee and prepping food, meaning it took quite a wait for us to just order even though there werent that many people in line. Overall, still a lovely shop in a cute part of the city, but would benefit from a few efficiencies in service.

Always a great place to go to for a quick coffee or beer. Never had a problem here till the new guy with glasses and castillas shirt started working there. He closed everything up 30min early and told us to leave. He didn’t want to rewash the blender so he said they only had iced coffee and lastly he seen us waiting in line and took. 10 min to take our order. Will still be coming back but that guy needs better customer service and to not be kicking ppl out 30min before closing.

The employee is so impolite and he doesn’t respect the customer he doesn’t follow line taking orders. He takes orders on line but when his friend or customer that he knows came he skipped me and 2 behind me to take his order. That was so weird to me .I am new first time there I was in the downtown and I don’t know the area . The Latteh was so bad I couldn’t drink more than one sip, my wife had cappuccino was good. I looked at google and found a great rate but unfortunately the rate is un true at all and didn’t help me this time . Not recommended at all !

I came at 9:00 the cofee was cold looks it is old or something! The cappuccino was ok . Customer service was so bad and the man who worked there was very rude and impolite he made a mistake with customer next to me he didn’t even say sorry! The employee skipped the line and helped his friend the other customer was upset when he talked to him about that the employee told him the conversation is over without saying sorry. Wow I never saw that before!

I waited in line 10 minutes there was only one pieces of coffee cake left and I wanted to order it the employee who worked there skipped me and 2 in-front of me and give the last piece to the man behind me because he was his friend. This cafe has great coffee with a robust menu of options. The food looks nice and people seemed to love it, although I didn’t order any food myself. Whether you want to spend a few hours working (lots of plugs and wifi, very hard to come by at some places) or catch up with friends or have a study group or attend one of the open mic nights, it seems like this place really does have it all.

A friend and I have been coming here every week for 7 years to meet for coffee and conversation. It is low key like you might find in a college town. The coffee drinks are excellent. The staff are good and have more personality than you find at the chain places. I really like the outdoor seating.

The staff are always kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. I always enjoy going here whether I plan to stay for 10 minutes or an hour. They have lots of nice little snacks you can purchase if you are hunkering down (I am a sucker for the brownies) and they do have one bathroom. The seating near the outlets always goes first, but they do have a good amount of space available! This place is a gem.

Follow them on Facebook because they have free concerts from local bands inside the establishment. Few places like this in Bakersfield. Excellent location with historical theaters and art murals nearby. If there isnt a concert you can walk around downtown after you get your drink.

Love this song local coffee shop. They have tasty pastries and wraps as well as some of the best loose leaf teas. You can buy a bag of the loose leaf tea for about 6.50 and its well worth it. I have bought the blue eyes and rooibos teas the last few times Ive gone. They also have live music upon occasion, two outdoor seating sections. One if the seating sections is smoking and the other non-smoking. They have a unisex restroom and lots of seating indoors and out. Sometimes it can get a bit noisy and crowded, but nonetheless their menu and customer service is great. They have a great selection of items including coffee, tea, blended beverages, Italian sodas and many more items. I like supporting local mom and pop businesses and if you do as well, this is the place for you.

I wanted to find a good locally-owned coffee place like I loved in Seattle. I was pleasantly surprised to find such a great eclectic place that made me feel like I was back there (but NOT in Starbucks!). The coffee was excellent, as was the cheerful service! Only drawback is the crappy view if you like to sit outside, but they did put a ficus out there that gives it a tad better ambiance!

A nice little coffee shop downtown. An older building, but it supplies a comfy, living room atmosphere. When it comes to blended, Frappuccino style drinks, the mint chip mocha is amazing. In terms of food, the M&Ms cookie is stellar, as well as their chocolate muffins. Staff are always smiling and accommodating. My only complaint is its surrounded by one way streets, which can be confusing, and parking can be an issue, but its not dagnys fault. Couch by the ordering area is extremely comfortable. Clientele is a cross section of people, and most are very nice. Good place to meet a friend for coffee. I dont drink, but there is beer and some wine available.

It was my first time going here and I will not come again. Ordered a salted caramel latte and tasted like coffee and milk blended. It seemed like he forgot to add the flavoring. The barista was nice and he added another pump of caramel which tasted better. As I was drinking it, I found a hair in it. The guy working there had little strands of hair on his shirt too.

Cool little spot in downtown Bako. It’s pretty big you can’t miss it. Right at the corner of Eye and 20th, it’s gonna be pretty much street parking. It is hard to find parking at some periods throughout the day.Walking in, you’re exposed to a pretty hip coffee spot. Plenty of spaces to seat and work at, it’s definitely a place you can come to and study. Ambiance is pretty casual. Music is pretty soft so it won’t bother you too much. The baristas are very friendly, hipster themselves, good vibes to them.For their drinks, I’m always shooting to try mocha first, which is what I ended up getting. Gotta day not as much coffee in the drinks as I was hoping. I tasted way more milk than coffee. It was the same for the cappuccino as well.Overall I’d give this place a solid 4/5 stars. Good vibes, nice service, barista was super friendly, he got my order wrong but ended up switching it out and gave me an extra drink that he told me to give to somebody! Love the spirit! Service was very quick. Coffee was less than what I was expected but the people there made up for it. Otherwise I’d say, I wouldn’t be opposed to coming back for another try down the road. My favorite is their Caramel Frap it is delicious and it feels like your drinking a liquid from heaven. Im always a fan of Dagnys. Parking is not always easy if you get there after 9am, but its worth a couple turns around the block.Their food is pretty good and the coffee is on point with a lot of different options. The staff is never very engaging with conversation which is sometimes off-putting, but thats not a huge concern.If you sit outside, be prepared for some of the local homeless to stop by your table. The internet can also get super slow during peak hours. If you want to get work done, I recommend getting in early morning. Primo seating, little noise, and super fast internet. After 10am its pretty packed inside.All and all this spot is reminiscent of a coffee house in its mid 90s glory. It really has a sense of comfort. If youre tired of mass chains with no real personality, then Dagneys is definitely a must.

There is no indoor seating but there are outdoor tables that do the job just fine. Their coffee is very good and they serve wraps, pastries, scones along with cookies and bread like pumpkin for example.I recommend this place to everyone. I frequent Dagnys because Im a nursing student and need a good place to study. Its a little noisy, but overall its not too bad. They have plenty of chargers, Wi-Fi, and friendly staff. The only downside is the homeless problem due to being located downtown- they tend to be aggressive if you dont give them money I reccomend carrying a mace can just to be protected. A couple of them are pretty chill though.

Make Sure they don’t do your order to go. Went everyday for a couple weeks with a friend and our totals were always different for ordering the same thing. Turns out they just hit whatever on the register. When we confronted them they didn’t seem to care and were aware it happens and explained that was why. This place is almost exactly halfway between Boulder City/Henderson and the Bay Area, and between Hwy 58 and 99 or 5 so we enjoy stopping here before transitioning to the next phase of our drive. I cant believe BAKERSFIELD has its own Arts District and hipster coffeehouse bakery - named after an Ayn Rand heroine at that! The baristas always get our orders right. This is my favorite coffee shop in Bakersfield for many reasons. Their coffees and teas are great, decent beer on tap and a few bottles, house-made pastries, and pre-packed salads and sandwhiches from a local catering company.Dagnys is a social hub in downtown Bakersfield. Its a great meet-up spot, so groups of people from all walks of life frequent this place, this makes for some interesting conversations. On a typical day when you walk up you will notice hipster-types sitting outside (there is a smoking and a non smoking side), there is usually at least one dog. When you get to the entry way, you will see flyers and posters for local cultural events. Inside the furniture is a mix of comfy couches and lounge chairs and wooden tables and desks. There is free WiFi and plenty of power outlets so there are usually people working on laptops, the environment is inside is calm and reasonably quiet.If you really want to connect to the local community I reccommend going here. I always run into at least one person I know.

Dagny s has frequently given beers over the daily limit of 3 beers based on the drinkers body language and the amount of time in which said beers were drank. Recently I was wrongly so we out and told I could not buy beer past 3 beers even though it was over a long period of time. I arrived at 2:00 and around 4:45 I was denied a third beer. This is while other customers on the patio had more than 3 beers throughout the day. I was being unfairly singled out because a customer recently got inebriated and got into a car accident. It it wrong to unfairly judge everyone based on one persons mistake. I will not be giving dagnys my business as much as I used to, I am extremely hurt and disappointed.
