UPDATE: They put my front tire on backwards and were not even apologetic. NOT what I wanted to find out. Knowledgeable, friendly staff and great inventory. Its hard to find a helmet for my big head and they stock a lot of sizes in Arai helmets so I was able to find what I needed. I knew I was in the right place by the way the staff was handling other customers in the store.

Overall good experience! Customer service was a little too aggressive on pushing more expensive items (that’s why the 4 stars). I get it, but maybe just give more pros and cons to peoples choices and let them decide vs trying to upsell aggressively. That’s my only critique, dude was very helpful though and the manager was great and explaining how the store specials work. Upgraded my helmet and saved some cash. Overall I highly recommend. Will be back, Great staff!

KRISTIE helped me at Gilroy CG. She was knowledgeable and helpful and really nice. Had a pleasant experience picking up a helmet and Cardo system. ThanksI went back to Cycle Gear for a helmet again, since I had such a great experience with Kristie. This time, Josh helped me. Josh had 4 weeks on and experience installing Bluetooth systems in roughly 10 helmets. His work was flawless and he was polite and helpful. I just got a modular Shoei helmet with a second docking base for the new helmet to dock my Cardo system. Love the helmet and the setup. Thanks Cycle Gear!! And Josh!

Today my wife and I went into Cycle Gear Gilroy looking for new helmets with Bluetooth communication systems. All of the sales staff were helpful and friendly. One of the guys even continued to help us with getting the Bluetooth paired long after he clocked out. All in all a very positive experience with great customer service.

First off i have to say wow. The staff here are amazing at there jobs. Brandon and Evan knocked it out of the park. I came in with my mind set on getting another Bell. Brandon came over and started talking to me about my other options. He was very kind and knowledgeable, and not pushy in anyway. Brandon ended up getting me set up with a Shoei RF 1400. He was very transparent, kind, and knowledgeable with helping me. Evan helped me get setup with a different Cardo mount. He was also extremely kind and very helpful. These two are very good at their jobs here. In my opinion they both should get raises. Thank you again to both of them.

Went looking for comms system, mentioned I had some trouble connecting bluetooth to my Boom system and guy working the counter spent 45 minutes working the issue with me. In the end the comms system just would connect but what great service. Really went out of his way to help me out. Told him as soon as I got the answer Id be back to them to purchase.

I only go to cycle gear when I need to. There prices are high. I do shop there often though. But I get way better deals online. The only discounts that are given is you have to pay for a membership which I think is a joke. My son and I participate in a lot of races all over nor cal. You would think they would want customers like us. It just doesn’t feel that way.

The sales reps were both patient and a great help getting me set up with the perfect helmet and blue tooth setup. They installed it in the helmet right there and showed me how to use it. A great selection of gear there too. Lots on Sale. The sales guy helped me find a combo of the best gear and best sale prices.. Picked up a nice leather riding jacket all for a very reasonable price too. I’m shopping here for whatever gear I need from now on. I’m definitely a New loyal customer.

I came in on a slow day and was the only customer in the store. I was promptly greeted but knew exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately, the staff member seemed bothered to assist and needed more than necessary help to look up an item on their own website. Looking to place an order for additional parts through one of their distributors, I felt like it was going to be more of a hassle than it was worth. I bought some off the shelf items I knew I needed and left to place the parts order elsewhere.

Getting ready for a trip to Baja I purchased a helmet and some other items only to find out that the helmet wouldn’t work for my application. The store manager let me return it and the Bluetooth speaker we installed. Nothing had been used but it was very nice that I could return it. The young man who helped me with my new helmet and communicator system, was helpful. The supervisor however, was not. He did not provide any service or advice even though it was needed, he was talking very loudly when we were trying to dial in our communication system, which made it very difficult to hear and he did not let me know that cycle gear doesn’t take checks anymore, until after I had written my check. I was listening, inspired by the whole experience. It was unprofessional, and if I was in charge, I would not have the senior person in that position.

I went to the store because my friend Danielle Garcia recommended the store. I had just bought my husband a dirt bike a couple days prior. Our lady that helped us out was awesome, she knew what she was talking about, she was very personable and helpful. I spent almost $500 buying gear and supplies. Then I did place an order for an item that wasn’t in stock so I spent over $500. My son is between adult and youth boots so he tried on several pairs to find the right fit. Great local source for parts and gear plus you can order though Revzilla for anything and have it delivered. They mount tires, are fast and friendly. They even got me some racing parts(brake pads) on spec and much faster than I expected. I like that I can get same-day parts and their selection is solid, especially for helmets and boots. I love all the gear I got. I am a first time rider. Frankie, for being a trainee, was VERY knowledgeable of the products and his coworker Rich was very helpful as well. They helped me find the right gear for me and gave me tips on making sure I found the right fit. I usually have buyers remorse, but I have absolutely no regrets about this purchase. Had a great experience yesterday. I stopped in on my way home needing to get a front tire, oil, filter, and brakes. When I walked in shortly after Crystal came over and asked if I needed some help and what I was looking for. Normally I don’t ask for help but I didn’t write down the part numbers I needed for my bike. Crystal proceeded to help me find everything I needed. She was vary helpful. When I was paying I asked if they had anyone who could mount the tire for me and how late they would be open. She let me know that she could and to come on back. So I went home got my tire and came back. Overall great experience, great help, I was able to get my bike done and ready to ride.

Even though I have closer bike shops near me I always make it a point to come here. The store is always well maintained and the employees are always super friendly. I was in there yesterday and they helped me pick out the best parts for my bike and were super helpful and all round kind not to mention the employees at the store I go to all have a bike of their own so talking to them about it is always nice when I go in there.

Well, first of all, I had planned to spend a lot of money as I walked in and I needed a lot of items and the kid that was at the counter. Was trying to tell me what works and what doesn’t work for certain motorcycles and I told him I was a fabricator and that I can build and fabricate just about any part. I just needed to duplicate it, but he didn’t understand none of that anyways, I am a motorcycle enthusiast, I just wanted to browse and shop and he just kept asking me ask me ask me and asking me and it got irritating to where I wanted to get out of there so I didn’t spend as much money as I wanted to but so there’s my review.

The staff here is helpful and attentive, but will also leave you alone if you just want to look around. I stopped in to try on some boots as Im having trouble finding something that will fit my need. They let me go out and sit on my bike with the boots to check fit with my controls. This was nice to be able to do.Im not local to this store and usually shop at San Jose, where there is 3X the amount of staff, but they are always just gathered together somewhere in the store BSing. I always have to go hunt someone down for a change room.The GIlroy store much a much better experience at what customer service should be like.

Came in on a Saturday looking for some new gear and was greeted by Chrystal (might have spelled this wrong, sorry!). Anyways, she is super AWESOME. So knowledgeable about everything that I was looking for. She helped me pick out a replacement helmet, new communication system, some warmer gloves and a balaclava to help with cold morning commutes. I have been riding for about 12 years now, street and dirt, so I have dealt with lots of different people in different shops and it was so nice to have someone who has experience with both riding and knowledge of the products on the floor and be able to help me make decisions that best fit me and my daughter. If you go in this store (Gilroy location) ask for her, she kicks a**.

It was Labor Day and I needed aa battery for a full dress Harley, biggest one they make. Extremely lucky and thankful first, that Cycle Gear in Gilroy, CA was open, and that they had the battery in stock! Frankie, the STAR counter person was extremely polite, efficient and very helpful. Stopped in on Tuesday on my way to pick up a bike and talked to Ed I believe to be the manager,Immediately greeted me and took the time to make sure I had the right straps and bar harness to make sure it would be good on the truck ride home, after picking up the bike for alittle less then expected I stopped by and talked to Ed again for some gear, asked me my budget then walked me thru it all, kept me under budget while getting more then expected! They had a special that included free mounting and balancing of tires you purchased if you brought in the wheel off the bike. They said they would turn around the tire in 34 hours, but instead did the job while I waited, saving me an extra trip.

I have been coming here for about 4 years. The team at this store now is the best it has been. Crystle and Frankie are great.. I can cruise in get my dirtbike gear, they can say what up to my dog and kids and we can get outta there and back to wrenching on bikes or heading out to ride. It still keeps a community feel with the bike nights on Tuesdays. Gilroy Motorcycle is great too for true OEM needs but Cycle Gear is my go-to for fluids helmets, boots etc. Stoked on the fact that I can check inventory online and make sure its there before I drive over.

Im writing to commend Monika, who works at the Gilroy location. My boyfriend and I are completely new to motorcycles and the gear. We drove down from Monterey looking for gloves and a helmet and walked out with a jacket and boots as well. Without any knowledge of what we wanted, Monika helped us for an hour and a half, checking on us while simultaneously helping others who walked in. With one comment she changed our outlook and price range: we were looking at helmets around $99 and immediately shifted to a $200-$250 price range after she asked what is your head worth?. Monikas product knowledge was extensive and she was able to give us answers and information on gloves, helmets, and jackets. Her information was so complete I had very few questions because shed answered them all (and I am majoring in molecular biology, I always have questions!). Monikas level of customer service was above and beyond. We we a little worried about feeling intimidated at first, but never felt that once we walked in. She was inviting, asked us what we were looking for, and when she saw us a little lost, was able to have us think about, or keep in mind, or end goal. We found ourselves wanting to make sure she approved of our purchases. All-in-all, we lived out experience and will be back in about three months to get my gear. :)

Went in to purchase a windshield and the employee was not certain how to look up what windshield I needed, then told me to move aside because he has customers he needed to helpOk no problem I just purchased a few items including a helmet and I planned on purchasing more items here but if that’s your way of dealing with a customer who needs help locating a windshield is to tell him move aside you have other customers to help as if I’m not a customer then find I won’t beI’ll also mention how I was treated to every ear in Gilroy.
