Very nice, discreet area to have kava . Inside is a bit small but love the area. The atmosphere is wonderful camera relax or talk to the owner and get more informational about the kava,He is serving. The owner is very respectful and kind. Would recommend for new and/or experience kava consumers. Best kava I’ve had so far didn’t taste as worse like others, will be coming back to this location.

Relaxing gem of a gathering spot in South Sac that doesnt involve alcohol. Andy the owner& bartender, greeted us with warmth and had a midwestern kindness about him. He has extensive knowledge of kava. I tried the root beer version during my first visit visit. I brought a friend the second time and tried a concentrated shot. Very unassuming and awesome space to Unwind.

I was in search of Kava on the late night and Andy was there to serve. This was my first time and Andy gave me the history and was able to do a tasting before close. I really enjoyed all his knowledge and experience in making Kava. I never slept so good and will definitely be back. Thank you Andy my new go to spot.

Definitely check this place out. Very laid back atmosphere and unique vibe. The owner is very knowledgeable so if you dont know much about kava stop in and hell be happy to educate you. Good variety of drinks to try. Hang out or grab the house guitar and jam out a tune.

My girlfriend and I stopped in for the first time yesterday evening. Im an occasional kava drinker, and I really wanted to try out an actual kava bar instead of making it it at home. We loved it! The owner is awesome. Hes very knowledgeable on kava, and such a great host. He was very respectful towards my girlfriend and I. Its a very chill vibe inside the bar. The kava he had was great. Not overbearing or any negative effects with his kava. We felt good the whole night after we got home and slept really good. We also tried the kava shots and kratom. We are planning to go back really soon. Good vibes, good laughs, and good kava. Im so glad there is a kava bar so close to my house now.

My wife and I were visiting the area and we stopped in for a Kratom drink. The drinks were delicious and we had a great conversation with the owner. He was well educated on kratom and kava, and it was nice to talk with someone who shares the same enthusiasm for teas. Also, there was a guitar my wife was able to play. We will definitely be going back when we are in town again.

The owner, Andy, is super friendly and very knowlegdeable. It was my first time there so he told me everything including the safety tips. I never how dangerous it is to combine alcohol with kava. He explained that amongst other things such how the supply chains matter as far as the quality of the finished product goes. I recommend you come here Wednesday-Saturday.

Atmosphere is chill and even though its new it has decent setup likes massage seats and board games. Guitars are conveniently placed for interested players. The extracts are strong, take 3 max and a few traditional bowls and youre good! Really appreciate Andy whos the owner whos very inviting and chill.

Came across this place completely by accident and fell in love with the atmosphere the owner (Andy) was very cool nd gave me some great knowledge on Kava, with it only being my second time trying it (at a different location) cool ppl, cool atmosphere. Will definitely recommend nd return.! 👍🏾👍🏾

Decided to go check out this new kava spot in town with my girlfriend, and we weren’t disappointed. Owner told us a lot about how he makes his drinks and a lot more. He made us feel welcome. Drinks were good and we had a great time visiting here. Will be back again sometime.

My friend and I recently visited this business and had a great experience. Andy was very friendly upon arrival, shared some great stories while we were there, and shared his take on kava, which we very much enjoyed; specifically his kava extracts and his root beer based kava. I’ve only had the traditional style kava in the past, so it was fun to try the contemporary style. Highly recommended.

Was visiting from out of town and my first Kava experience. I loved it and fear other kava places will not be as amazing as Cult Kava. You must go ! And you can get delivery on Uber eats. I did delivery first and then visited in person.

It is a very tranquil place. Love the atmosphere. It felt very welcoming. Great choices of games are available from checkers to Dominoes and a giant Jenga set. The Root Beer Kava is great. I like my kava traditional. If youre not looking for anything too strong, the Prickly Piña would be your go-to. Bula!!!

Came in today with my boyfriend and trying this place cause its close to our house. We were met by the owner Andy. Hes really knowledgeable about the different types of Kava and the methods of how its extracted. He let us sample a lot of different drinks. My favorite is the root beer one.Definitely coming back again. Its very intimate and tucked away in the corner.

I went this evening (1/17/24) for an open mic hosted by Andy and his friend jessy… I literally cannot express how kind and generous Andy (the owner) is. The only thing that would make this place better is if more people knew about it and spread the joy that it is to be there.As an avid herbal experimenter/tea maker for my own enjoyment im shocked I haven’t tried something like this before…. on this day I absolutely understand any and all hype around it. So calming and the taste is an acquired one that I don’t mind, but they offer a root beer version that 100% compliments the flavor if you can’t get past the initial bitterness.The environment here is so calm and inviting… whether you’re coming for the kava, to spend time with friends and play chess or what I can only imagine is the largest jenga set I’ve ever seen LOL… or if you’re just coming to support local musicians… I can assure you this is the perfect spot!!Thank you Andy!

This is the best kava bar in the Sacramento area. The owner Andy was really nice, had great stories to tell, and even whipped out the guitar for a second. The kava was authentic and Andy showed me the traditional way to drink it which was really fun! If you like REAL kava this is the place!

Amazing kava spot, highly recommend!!Didn’t know about the place at all, until one of my friends that is a rapper invited me to one of his performances here. It was a really enjoyable experience listening to the music, and meeting the owner and talking about kava. I recommend stopping by, it’s definitely a unique vibe.

I stopped here out of curiosity.. I had to know what this place was. It turns out that Cult Kava is not a religious cult, it’s sort of like a bar, but instead they serve rare drinks like kava and Kratom. Kava gives a nice buzz, kind of like alcohol but without the negative aspects of alcohol, I really prefer it to drinking shots of alcohol. They were really cool to explain all about it. Plus, the fact that there is no hangover the next day is nice. It would be a great place to study, hangout, or play some games like poker, dominoes, chess. I have found that kava helps me relax and shed some stress. It’s a highly unusual but relaxing atmosphere and staff are very interesting folks. Not nearly as interesting as the customers thought, Some patrons come all the way from San Francisco. You just really never know who is going to come through the door.I’ve met some folks from the music industry and a few from the video game industry. You just never know who you might meet there. Sometimes it’s dead quiet and other times anyone who is anyone is there.The owner is there often and has been known to let people showcase their music. I’ve met some really interesting people here and will continue to frequent this business…. It’s unusual as hell, but it’s been a trip.

Im an avid Kava enjoyer and the Kava I had here is some of the best (if not the best) I have had. I had both the standard and concentrate. There has clearly been a lot of thought put into how to flavor the concentrate too as it is quite good. To top it off the owner is a class act and very friendly. Would not hesitate to recommend.

I came from Bakersfield looking for a place where they sell kava bags before I left my uncle place and ended up at this little spot. The owner said he didn’t have any but he gave my brother and I two shots for the road. Had my mouth numb for a cool minute. Not gonna lie if your in the area check it out, great vibe and people

I am a kava connoisseur. I have tried kava across the world. NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING COMPARES to these kava shots- theyre off the hook. It may not be well decorated or fancy, but the owner makes up for it through great hosting.
