We tried to call Lyft in South Lake Tahoe and there were no drivers to be found anywhere... so hesitantly we called the Tahoe Crown Taxi and were pleasantly surprised with the costs & service. We had placed the call and asked about average cost from the Hard Rock Casino to Camp Richardson for the annual Oktoberfest and with in just a few minutes our driver pulled up to to pick us up... talk about quick service! Enrique greeted us and was super friendly and hospitable. He got us to our destination in a quickly manner. He honored the price that was quoted over the telephone. We even asked if he could pick us up when our event was over and he came back, and was there on site at the time specified and got us back to our casino safely and quickly. Great conversation and a fun ride... While in Tahoe we will never call Lyft again and always contact Tahoe Crown... plus recommend them to our friends & family. Excellent service!
These guys were always on time, professional, helped with our bags and were friendly. I also left my phone in a taxi and called Oscar the next day who ended up driving my phone back to me when I called him the next morning. Highly recommend this service!
As a young woman going out for dinner has added risks so when Uber wasn’t available I was nervous. This was my very first “real” taxi service and I was surprised to feel very safe and communicated with the whole time! Though I didn’t have the GPS tracking like Uber, I felt as is I did 😁 they texted me with multiple updates.The owner, Jesse, is amazing! He takes great care of his clients and his number one priority is communication, and I could really see the effort he puts in to his quality of service.They were super busy this night so they had to push my pickup time (I was kind of far out) but then the restaurant ended up closing an hour early that night. Jesse felt so bad that he picked me up twice for free to make up for it!Again, number one priorities for me is feeling safe and communicated with, Jesse got a 10/10 for both!!

Cost effective and efficient way to get around Tahoe. Crown took us to and from Reno airport and all about South Tahoe for the weekend. Will definitely use them again.

I was in Tahoe for a friends party last weekend and we took this company for the weekend. Jesse the driver was really cool guy. And all the taxis from this company are really clean from the inside not dirty or with smells like the yellow cabs. Highly recommend this company
1/2022, I called and driver said hed pick me up after the ride he had. 1/2 an hour later, no show,, no call. When I called, ignored my phone calls. It is true- not all drivers with CROWN TAXI speak understandable English. Not anymore: LOVE CROWN TAXI!!! Awesome service, friendly drivers, trustworthy, and quick. This is my taxi every time.
The company responded to my call in 15 minutes with a smile on his face. He was pleasant, a safe driver on icy roads, & reached my destination without a problem. I would use this company without hesitation.
I called this number, got a driver directly and he had people in the background swearing and using expletives loudly. I asked how long it would be for a ride, and he said about 15 minutes, and then I asked if he was ready for my number and he said actually, just text me your address and Ill come to you. And hung up on me. I immediately called blackjack taxi and got superior service. That driver was very disrespectful, had no concern for his customers and will never have my business again.

A group of 10 girls all went to Tahoe for my best friends’ bachelorette party. One of the cars ended up breaking down about 25 miles out of Tahoe and every taxi company we called said “we were out of range” for their service. The Tow truck wasn’t sure if they were going to get there until late in the night. It was awful, we were stranded in the middle of the woods off the side of the highway!!! Fortunately I spoke to Jessy from Crown Taxi and told him our dilemma. He didn’t even hesitate and said he would pick us and all our luggage up! He was a real hero that weekend. He continued to Taxi us to and from our airbnb to clubs in heavenly village and made the weekend one to remember. Thank you so much Jessy!!!!PS His rates are way better than any Uber or Lyft up there!!!
Super rude, I asked for a ride, because I had never been to Reno Nevada before and I was lost and she could not give me any information as to where I was or how to find me to pick me up and told me not to talk to him that way because I kept asking for the number that he was offering because he couldn’t give me a ride

Lifesavers x2!!!!!I had to be at RNO airport super early in the morning and there was NOT A SINGLE Uber driver available (I couldn’t ride with Uber once since I got to Lake Tahoe so beware if you don’t have a car)I called Crown Taxi, 5am, freaking out and they had a ride for me literally 5 minutes after, the trip was smooth and super fast, I felt very safe and that’s extremely important to me, I usually don’t do the regular taxisSpecial thanks to Jesse for helping me with my receipt from the trip, I forgot to ask for it because I was running late for my flight, and I really needed it for receipt tracking for the company I work for, when I called them to see if they could send it to me (paid cash so I was worried they were not gonna be able to) Jesse went the extra mile and made sure I got my receipt, extremely pleased with the great customer service (I know my company will be too😁) above and beyond!

2023-02-10 15:04:55Crown Taxi was awesome and reasonably priced. They were on time and our driver Jessy was a wealth of knowledge. We used them for transfers from Reno Airport to Heavenly Resort. Before dropping us at our hotel he took the time to drive us around town and give us a few insights. If we come back to the Tahoe area we would definitely use them again.

Whether as a local or a tourist this is the company that you need to take. I can not stress enough every driver, car, and experience has always been the best. As a person who works in corporate and takes other companies typically all over the U.S. I will only use Crown when I come to town!

2022-07-17 06:12:14Crown Taxi provided excellent service on the day of our wedding for our guests and friends. They were flexible, went above and beyond and I would recommend them to anyone. The only reason this is a four star is that the booking process was a bit difficult or clunky - But that was is - I feel bad even putting it at a four star, but I do believe its a total experience and with the booking process not being quite seamless for us I felt this was fair. Please book them for your wedding or event as they were amazing to work with.

2022-07-03 19:37:43The dispatcher was friendly and courteous. My driver was also friendly and showed up exactly when he said he would. He called before his arrival to confirm my location and to provide his ETA. I only waited about 15 minutes. The only drawback, and why I didnt rate 5 stars, was that the dispatcher quoted me a trip cost of about $30 from Kiva Beach to Quality Inn, near Stateline. The trip ended up being $50.00. With tip, it was $60.00. This turned out to be almost double what I was expecting to pay. That was the only negative re. the trip. Thank you for great service!

2023-01-13 18:40:47We were late to catch the airport shuttle but our taxi driver knew the last stop and brought us there to catch the bus. Very grateful.Also it is impossible to get a Lyft in Lake Tahoe. The taxi was more dependable.
