GREAT little bakery! The lines were always long which only shows to prove how great they are! The staff were all super nice and efficient. We waited about 10 mins to order and about 5 minutes for the food and drink. I ordered the iced mocha and it was so creamy and yummy. I also got the bagel breakfast sandwich which comes with egg, bacon, and cream cheese spread. I got the sea salt bagel and I feel like the salty of the bagel mixed with the sweet of the cream cheese was perfect! Chef kiss. I also love have they have tons of gluten free options and several drink adaptations that can be made (almond milk, coconut milk, etc…). Overall it was great and you’re bound to find something that works for you !

YOU HAVE TO EAT YOUR HEART OUT HERE WHILE IN LAKE TAHOE!!! Oh my heavens we have come two days in a row for their incredible baked breads and pastries. Breakfast sandwich on an everything/sesame/or the BEST Asiago bagel, you cannot go wrong! Tasty lattes too where you can actually decipher the coffee from the milk! The Spinach and Artichoke Croissant is out of this world too !! Sweetest people work here as well, good vibes today on Aloha Friday! 🌺

This is the best bakery Ive ever been to in.my.life. Admittedly my pictures arent the best because it was dark in there, but TRUST.ME. Ive traveled around the US and have had tried many great places...but this one is INCREDIBLE. Every single dessert we had was amazing. The apple pie croissant changed my life lol. And the honey cinnamon latte brought me back every single day of my trip. They also had a seasonal turkey and cranberry sandwich that rocked my world. Chocolate croissant? Yep. Get one. Im not kidding when I say, just go, try a little of everything and enjoy the gorgeous Tahoe scenery. Cant recommend enough!

First time here and it was worth the trip. Nice selection of baked goods. Picked up a slice of the Lemon Poppy Seed bread, Cranberry Orange bread and the Blueberry Coffee Cake. I will have to go back on Friday or Saturday to try their cinnamon rolls. They dont have them everyday. The family liked the bread which was moist and delicious. We will be back.So I arrived at the bakery around 7am to pick up some cinnamon rolls but they were not going to be ready until 9am. Instead, I picked up a crumb cake and apple pie croissant. I am sure they will be delicious as always.

Fantastic coffee snd pastries. The almond croissant was great as was the chocolate croissant. Breakfast sandwich did take quite sometime but they were very busy and it was to be expected as they said a toaster oven was down. However it was worth the wait! Will be back next time we are in Tahoe

I absolutely loved my experience at Crazy Good Cafe in Lake Tahoe! The ambiance was simply amazing, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Best bakery in South Lake Tahoe, or at least the widest surprises in that magical baked goods cabinet. During a tourist laden weekend, definitely not the quick run in and nosh. I picture this place on Portlandia selling bright colored bird houses out of the side door.Easy access from the bike trail, watch the cars. Decent bike parking too.

Attention tourists- Im local and always get the question, where do locals go for morning food and coffee... we all go here. Try ALL the pastries 🍰, and the croissants, the ham n swiss is legendary. But everything is really good! Seriously. I dont drink coffee, but everyone says its really good here also. But dont get the biscuits, those are for ME!! And they always sell out on weekends, which is the only time they make em.Lastly, to the lovely ladies behind the counters, yall are wonderful, thanks!! In case u didnt already know how I feel about ya, haha. Zeya, the biscuit today was 🔥.

This place was amazing. Got a lite breakfast here before we drove around the lake. The homemade buttermilk biscuit breakfast sandwich was amazing! They have so much to choose from and it all looked delicious. Coffee was also very good! I would definitely check this place out.

The line was moving so slow that I figured it would be 30 minutes before I could order a pastry, so I left and came back to a longer line and after 10 minutes of the line not moving much I decided to give up. It is a small shop, so be prepared for a wait if you go on a weekend morning. I will try my luck next time I am in town. The items in the display case looked great.

Stumbled upon the bakery and I am so glad I did! The pastries and absolutely fantastic and delicious! The coffee was awesome and the service even better. There was a bit of a line but WELL worth the wait. I will for sure be going back while I’m Tahoe!

They started running out of stuff before 9am. The espresso machine was broken so they only had black coffee. Bagels were good but they ran out of most schmears except for plain and jalapeño (which we found very salty)!

What an amazing bakery! Walking up to the building you feel like your entering a cozy, yet chic, place to hangout with friends. The layout was open and inviting, and they had outside seating. The staff was friendly, and was patient while we ordered. They didnt have any gluten free choices available when I sent there so I cant tell you personally if they were good, but my kids (who are very picky eaters) LOVED their bagels. My kids told me they would eat them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There is a little section with the cutest little items for you to purchase, such as, aprons, dishes, kitchen decor, and Lake Takoe gifts. They also offer a place to park your bicycle outside. They were excited to find out they had fresh cinnamon rolls every Friday, and they cant wait to try them.

The pastries were delicious but the staff was a little snippy with us. We arrived late in the day so the sandwiches were gone, but we couldn’t even get cream cheese on our bagels. The bathroom didn’t work and apparently hasn’t worked for a while.To be fair they may have been tired at the end of a shift but we’d been looking forward to their food all day and were a bit disappointed.

I was so excited after reading reviews to order my hubby’s 50th bday cake here. But sadly I was disappointed in what u received. Since we our group was coming in from Illinois the day before his birthday I wanted everything to be set up and the cake was to be a nice surprise. I ordered based on a cake they made that went perfectly with the theme of the party it matched the his tshirts and all the decor and gift bags well. But the cake I got is not like what I wanted. When placing the order (which by the way cost twice as much as I would pay at home for same thing… but I didn’t hesitate) I asked that the cake be exactly as pictured except of course changing the name on the cake. What I got was a cake that had a huge Jack Daniels bottle in the center instead if the 3 small mini bar sizes as pictured which of course sunk into the cake pushing the front label off damaging the name label which was wrong anyway, the top was a different icing than the rest of cake so it was 2 tone. But I was willing to forgive all of this but unfortunately cake was a bit on dry side for chocolate on chocolate. I’m so disappointed. My cake pictured is not the one on the last picture I asked for.

Took 45 min in the line. Pastry are horrible glutin free pumpkin and blue berry chewy and tart weird not different just not good. Fruit and curd had a section of pure sugar that my kid couldnt even eat. Hopefully croissants are better apple strudel does not taste like apple. Coffee was great! but have to wait an extra 10 to 15 min for it after you get your pastry. Would only cone back for coffee dont want to waste money trying to find out if other pastry ate better.

We wanted to grab a coffee and something to eat. This was the second place we stopped at. It had a great vibe live band playing on a random Friday morning. They let me try some cake and it was delicious. My coffee was done just how I liked it. The breastia was kind and asked about my day as she went about her work. All the workers were doing something and had great work ethic. Will be back on my way out of town. Would definitely recommend stopping by.

Best Bakery from the Nevada to South Lake Tahoe, and possibly all over Tahoe! Amazing family run bakery with quality savory and sweet treats! They also catered an amazing desert table this past weekend for a family event. My only complaint is the deserts were so good, they were completely gone by the end of the night and I wasn’t able to take any home. I guess my loss is everyone else’s gain.. next time I’m hiding some for myself.Some of my favorite items when I’m at the bakery are their bagels, ham and cheese croissants, quiches. This bakery really deserves a 5-star rating and for multiple reasons:1. Pastries - ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! We tried the walnut apple turnover, apple croissant, chocolate zucchini cake, the blueberry coffee cake, vanilla cupcake and the chocolate croissant. We even tried a savory spinach artichoke croissant. All of these were fresh, clearly made with good quality ingredients and everyone was happy.2. Service - this place gets crowded on weekends, yet the staff manages to move the line along very effectively. One of the kids in our group had a number of allergies, so her parent posed a few questions about the ingredients of a few of the pastries. The staff was knowledgeable, helped guide the parent on her selection and everything went smoothly.3. Coffee/Espresso - none of us are perfect, so this is perhaps the one and only area in which I see some room for improvement. On one occasion I ordered a cappuccino. What I got was a very milky latte :) On another occasion I ordered a macchiato. The macchiato was made perfectly but the espresso was highly acidic. This could have just been a light roast, but I would have loved a more balanced espresso flavor.Bottom line - I will continue to come here again and again, every time Im in South Tahoe. And if youre a fan of awesome pastries and top notch customer service, this place is for you!

This place is so worth the visit! We got a blue velvet cupcake, chocolate croissant, blueberry lemon danish, and, my favorite, the almond bear claw. I went back in on our way out to get something for my mom - I told the gal working there that I am traveling tomorrow so was hoping for a container more air tight and she put my croissant in a Ziploc for me! That was greatly appreciated. Super nice people serving delicious food in an adorable shop!

Fantastic bakery that lives up to its adorable name—Crazy Good Bakery! Unlike many bakeries that have PERFECT baked goods and second rate coffee, their coffee is worthily paired with their impeccable baked goods. So many amazing choices I made the barista choose for me! This places is adorable! The food is fantastic and great coffee (medium & dark roast available). They offer several GF items such as four different flavors of muffins & cookies and they were amazing! My husband got the rosemary bagel and I had a GF chocolate chip muffin. They have a nice sitting area and, of course, grab and go which was nice so we could go back to our hotel and enjoy breakfast with a view of Lake Tahoe.

The apple cider donuts were amazing. Everything was amazing. We had the original cinnamon bun (instead of the Oreo addition) and it was perfect. Do not expect to get out of their quickly-take your time and enjoy the seating areas. The bagels are very good-being from the East Coast and being spoiled by boiled bagels-these are close. Not dense like every other California bagel. You can call ahead! I don’t drink coffee but I am sure that is tasty as well! Must stop here if you are here for the weekend.

Crazy Bakery has some of the most delicious pastries and muffins in all of South Lake Tahoe. Got the strawberry rhubarb strudel, which was incredible, but had to request that it be warmed up twice. The breakfast sandwich was small, tasty, but over priced. The coffee was hot and flavorful. The ambiance is quaint, but they need more tables, work spaces, and soft soft chairs. Overall, I give it 4 stars.

It’s alright, the staff is very nice, but you end up spending $20+ to stand in a parking lot and wait to order because they still have not reopened the inside. My bagel is usually hardly toasted (Sometimes still cold) and sometimes chewy. Ham and cheese croissants have literally one tiny slice of ham in them. Now with more bagel shops opening in town it’s just not the best. I keep trying because location Is close to home but, I’m bummed every time :/

Good for a stop in now & then, but I can think of less pricey ways to enjoy good coffee & baked goods, after all, I live here. One last note, its a pretty small place - not really big enough for live music - so makes it difficult to enjoy a conversation with anyone sitting at the same table you are. :-{D

Youve got to stop here for numerous scrumptious, decadent, and everything sweet treats! (Had a slice of chocolate/banana loaf and a slice of hazelnut cheesecake). They offer breakfast quiche, croissants, pastries, and muffins. Desserts include cupcakes, a variety of cheesecakes and cakes. Cold drinks to go and freshly made coffee and lattes. The Crazy Good Bakery has a 50s theme in their artfully arranged decor. Inside and outside seating is available.

I discovered this bakery/cafe on my way out of town during my last visit and what a find. Fresh baked everything you can think of with a pleasant twist. Everything had a little extra something that made it slightly different than your normal baked goods, and all for the better in my opinion. It’s a little small and I can imagine busy at times, but well worth the wait. This will be a regular stop for me on future visits to SLT.

Or maybe Ill be basic? Pumpkin turnover.Good thing I came with friends.The pumpkin was rich and festive. Apple a perfect standard of what strudel should be. The puff on both mild, a perfect compliment to the pasties filling.The Almond Croissant. The first bite started with a flakey crisp, followed by a fluffy middle like I have never tasted. My eyes shot open. I died. Went to heaven. But I had unfinished business, almost a full croissant left, so i came back to finish what I started.The pastries here are worth every bite, but by far the best is the almond croissant. Heres to them proving me wrong!

As much as this breaks my heart, I just have not had any great experiences here on my most recent visits. I despise writing bad reviews and pride myself on ALWAYS providing positive feedback. I used to LOVE coming here, didnt mind paying a little more for a crafted baked good. The poor service has been overwhelming and the home made chai is very bland. The newer red headed gal, was beyond rude when I gave her cash. She questioned if I bled on the five dollar bill, it was clearly ink. Any well educated human knows blood is NOT that vibrant red. She looked at me as if I had some infectious disease. I went back, despite the poor treatment. Again, an associate looked at me with disgust when I didnt tip her for buying an ornament. However, I did tip her for the chai I bought previous to the ornament.I do not recommend coming here based on the consistent poor quality of service and overly priced treats. I work very hard for my money, as the rest of the community. Im appalled by the ignorance of these associates. Truly disappointed.
