Huge park, very well maintained, and $3 parking is well priced with all that it has.The only two issues I experienced, which is why I knocked down the rating, we had a reservation, and here was the experience.#1 - The grills were pulled the day of. I know this because I was there the day before to check it out everything, and there were grills and power. At the time of the visit, there was no one there and the sign read open. So we had no grills and also no power until 8:07pm. We started at 4pm.#2 - We were getting everything cleaned up, and we hate leaving everything a huge mess. But at 8:50pm, (10 mins before the park closed) in just our section only, the sprinklers were turned on to push us out. Also, no one from the park came to talk to us.This was a first visit and Im willing to review again after the next time, if things are different. But for now, just be aware of somethings that can occur when you plan a group day.

This hidden gem is in between hustling city surrounded by homes . Entrance 5$. Lake is very nice different birds around . Small hiking trails. Good for bbq family picnics. So Zen 🧘.

Nice park to picnic or have birthday parties or large group events. Grass is good with lots of shade and parking spots. Beware there is a lot of duck poop near the lake which dogs love to eat. Parking fee varies $3-10/car depending on the day and no free drop offs allowed, must pay every time you re-enter even if you have a ticket.

Great location. Outdoorsy but next to the city. Very large hilly park with Large flat fields, kiddy play grounds, basketball (closed temporarily), handball courts, and outdoor beach volleyball area. Lots of trails, sidewalks, large flat areas and hilly areas to run or play sports. Plenty of restrooms. $3 entry for parking entry fee on weekdays and $5 on weekends, $7 Holidays. Park on St College or Associated and Rolling Hills to walk in the park and avoid the parking entry fee. Closes at 6 pm after winter daylight savings and 9 pm after spring daylight savings change.

It was great day we visited Brea! We enjoyed walking in Craig Regional Park, my daughter had good time playing in kids play area. Car single entry on Saturday - Sunday $5, rest other days $1. Nicely maintained park with lots of parking at different locations. Lots of picnic tables with advanced reservations.

What a nice park! Even when theres a birthday party or whatnot going on in the picnic areas theres plenty of benches to sit at by the lake. I always bike here, one perk being that you dont have to pay for parking if you bike in. Though a word of caution for fellow bikers, the entrance on the south side is very steep and not very wide, so try and wait until there arent people walking before going down (a mistake Ive made and almost fell into the grass doing)!

One of my favorite parks and wow what a blessing to live so close to it! Its HUGE!! You cant easily get bored coming here because theres so many different routes to take! Been coming here for years now. There are at least 3 playgrounds here, clean bathrooms, lots of nature and different types of beautiful bird and wildlife here to enjoy. Theres even a big baseball field, basketball courts and other recreational activities.

The park is not as crowded as other parks, probably because it is not flat, it has uphill and downhill. However, it still provides lots different areas for BBQ, and playing sports. There is a decent size of lake inside the park as well. Parking spaces are limited. In general, OC has maintained the park well.

The Park has just about everything for everyone and is also a sanctuary for local and migratory geese, ducks, rails and many other birds!Upon entering, park goers can pay parking fees and get info from the park attendants.Those who opt to walk in, may do so, free of charge. Reservations are required for designated areas.Locals and visitors may be seen walking and running the pathway’s that line the park. Most are paved, though a small portion of trail to the south end, towards the Fullerton dam is kept natural. My little bit of “nature trail” when doing the perimeter hike.There’s several ball fields for playing baseball, as well as areas possible to play kickball, soccer and football. Groups gather to play volleyball, basketball and handball.

Very nice park. Dog friendly. Lots of trees for shade, lots of open grass areas, sidewalks throughout.Excellent place for an picnic, relaxing walk with one’s dog, and enjoying the outdoors.There is a small lake fed by a stream through the park, with ducks and Canadian Geese roaming around.

Mon-Fri parking cost $3 and $5 on Sat and Sun.This park is huge. From what I saw, they had a baseball field, a kids playground and a lake for fishing. Unfortunately it was a cold day so I didnt venture the park, except for what was close. I would recommend this for kids, adults, and the elderly.

This is my go to regional park. It is much quieter than most of the parks in the area and it is quite clean. The only downside is the large amounts of goose feces around the lake, but there isnt much you can do about that.

This is a beautiful park that provides a lot of meaning to many lives. Living near it, it may be seen how important this is to the surrounding community, as are all of the OC reginal park.Craig Park has an interesting and varied topography including a small lake, baseball diamonds, hills, sports courts, a 2.5 mile walking path, and many picnic areas some of which are covered.The park is well maintained and feels safe.Recommended.

Very nice park. Was my Sons Birthday today and we had a great lunch. They have picnic tables amongst many other amenities. There was a Mommy Duck with 4 Ducklings whom though wild, were very Friendly and came up close enough for some pics. The Kids loved that.

Its a pretty park with a nice lake and lots of ducks that you cant feed. There are trails and bike paths if thats what youre into, or you can take pictures, have a picnic, call your friends, fly a kite, or just drive thru because youre lost. All in all. Its a nice park

My husband and I like to find nice places to walk. We werent disappointed when we found this park. Its nice to sit on the bench and look at the lake. The paved walkway is pretty long, some hills but nothing major. You can rent the gazebos for parties and the do have bbq pits for grilling. The only thing you have to watch for is duck/geese poop. Other than that, its a nice place to enjoy some nature in the concrete jungle.

Craig park is always beautiful. Lots of open space for the kids to run around and nice playgrounds. Make sure you bring a garbage bag, though, garbage cans are few and far between.

We hike this park at least twice per week.We have noticed this park is need of maintenance. Lots of amenities such as basketball courts have been gated off for two years now due to upgrade of restrooms that have never opened. Another pipe break has closed one of the baseball diamonds has been closed for over two weeks. Poor job of maintaining and overseeing restroom upgrade. Person responsible for this should be fired.

This park is very nice and clean. You can drive in, pay your $3 entrance fee, and enjoy a long walk in the park. They have ducks and geese. Its very green. Ive seen people fishing. They have grills. Theres plenty of parking. A beautiful park nestled in a great community. You can also walk in if you dont want to pay $3 for driving in. Great experience for the kids and adults.

I love jogging here and bringing my family to this park.For the most part, I feel safe, and the other joggers I pass are friendly and polite. I only came across one visitor wearing racist pins, hats, and clothing. But he kept to himself. Near the entrance, a mentally ill homeless person yelled obscenities at me.But, baby geese, ducks, herons, and egrets!

We were trying to purchase an annual pass on Feb. 23, 2024. We waited for more than 10 minutes while two ladies were on the phone. In addition the one sits by the counter told yelled and said do you want to be interrupted while youre on the phone?Honestly, I wouldnt want to give 1 star if its possible.No skills, no respect, no manners.

Great park with wide and spacious green areas. Perfect for picnic with kids since there are lots of playgrounds inside. You can park your car outside at State College Blvd. for free and walk in since they charge you at the entrance. Also suitble for running and other activities. The place is equipped with many tables and chairs.

This is a great park with trails, playgrounds, a lake, streams, sports areas, restrooms, picnic tables, trash cans, and is kept very clean. You do have to pay for entrance into the park. (Monday-Friday is $3 and Saturday & Sunday is $5, there are extra charges on holidays, for buses and events) Plenty of parking for whatever you decide to do. During Spring-Summer the park is open 7:00am to 9:00pm so it stays open later, which is nice. Fall-Winter the park hours are 7:00am to 6:00pm. We had a family day of walking, a picnic, and playing on the 3 playgrounds. Highly reccomended!

Craig Park is a true gem. Absolutely beautiful year round. Tons of wildlife. Bike trails. Hiking trails. The dam is worth the uphill trip. It is true retreat for all to enjoy. Bring a blanket and take a daytime nap. Take the kids to the various playgrounds. They feature Family Movie Night, sand volleyball courts....basketball, tennis, raquetball, horseshoes, baseball/softball. Last week I watched two teams playing cricket. Anyway, back to work for me. Enjoy the park.....and donate! Even just a few dollars helps us all enjoy this retreat from daily life. Blue bike. Orange basket. Say hello. :) [Pics are on the south end. Such a nice park, with so many separate areas and small hills, you can usually have your own little isolated party even when there are other parties happening in the park. We feel lucky to have it close by.On all but the busiest days, theres easy free street parking right outside.

Hills! Hills! Hills! And also… open fields! And a lake! And a little river! And tall unshaved grass, and clean trimmed grass! And wild ganders and insects and joyful chirping birds that swoop by your legs as you walk the meadows. Heights and views, climbs and descents, quiet weekdays, ruckus on the weekends with athletes on the fields and runners on pavement, friends and families gathering in the sun. Courts for basketball, racquetball, volleyball, field for baseball and softball. A path through a small musky wood, full of fallen trees and branches and spiders. Geese droppings, a sturdy wood bridge, a little marsh, cool shady forests, and that one solitary tree in the middle of the fields. And hills! Hills! Hills!

Brought my lunch from in and out to eat in the park. $3 to enter if you want to bring your car in but there is street parking on state college and you can walk in for free. I planned on going for a walk after lunch but ended up sitting under a tree instead! Very peaceful and clean. Having traveled out of the US quite a bit we are very lucky to have places like this in the US because other countries dont have such beautiful parks in Urban areas.

Original park with an entry fee of $5 per car makes it very nice for parties as there are not a whole lot of people on the premises. However on big holidays like Fourth of July I had seen it very crowded. Today was a good day 75 degrees . There are meaning areas shaded by large trees. We reserved a large tall gazebo space with 6 picnic tables to dine at. In addition there AR barbecue pits with a table nearby to set up your food for get together. The reserved Gazebo easily accommodated a gathering or 15 to 30 people. This was and uncrowded Saturday and there are large grassy areas for outdoor games. Nearby was a childrens playground set. Families can easily find ample space to gather together for picnics and birthday parties. This is a large park with adequate space between you and other people.

Great local park in Brea. Massive size and lots of playground activities for the kiddos. Big lake to see some local birds and other critters. Great for walking, birthday parties, or just hanging out. Weve been taking my girls here since they were born. Even though it can get crowded on weekends and holidays, there is lots of space and its pretty easy to find a spot to park and relax.Basketball courts, softball fields, volleyball, and handball courts are all present and they have regular league activities to watch for fun. Short nature hike/trail is near the dam area and is cool when the sun is hot. You can reserve some of the sites (the ones that are numbered) for a fee and have a space for your next family event. Great spots for photo opportunities for those engagement or graduation events. Easy to get to from the 57 freeway for those coming from other areas. One of our favorite outdoor locations!

A large park that has everything for everyone. A very good park for short or long walking around a lake (man made). Many picnic tables and rental gazebos are available throughout the park. Several play structures for kids. A good place to do some bird watching since a lot of geese and ducks hangout at the lake and the baseball/softball fields, and many more birds. If I lived nearby I would visit everyday to walk/run around the park.

I really enjoy this park, its big and spacious and has a duck pond. The park has a walking path that circles the whole park (2.6miles), the walking tail has two uphills for that extra kick for your walk or jog. The park has: Basketball Courts, Racquetball Courts; Volleyball, Baseball fields and playgrounds. The maintenance of the park is well kept up. Little side note: I used to park on the street but I am now paying to park my car inside the park; because I am noticing broken window glass on the street where the cars are parked. Unfortunately cars are being broken into, in a safe area.

This park is a hidden treasure! You can only see the front of it off the street. It was absolutely lovely when we drove around it. Theres basketball courts, racketball courts, baseball fields, and multiple playgrounds for the kids. The park was immaculate in cleanliness! This is one of my favorite parks. Its a pretty big park. Theres a pond with lots of ducks. Its a great place to come for a walk. There are a couple of playgrounds for kids, green areas to play, baseball field, etc. Its a tranquil place to be. I absolutely love coming to this park. It is like an escape from reality because of how beautiful and peaceful it is to come here.Parking is available here but for a fee since it is a Regional Park. However, if you do not want to pay, there is parking at the front entrance, on the other side of the park by Bastanchury, and within the neighborhood on the side as well. Just be prepared to walk a little farther than usual if you plan to park in these areas since most of the contents of the park are further inside.The contents of the park are splendid. There is a jungle gym, a small lake, scattered picnic tables, some gazebos, a bridge, a baseball field, and numerous other amenities that help accommodate any visit here. Dogs are also welcome here so expect other little furry friends to be walking around alongside here.There is also plenty of wildlife here. I have seen my fair share of beautiful birds like pelicans, herons, duck, goose, and a handful of other birds. Just be careful if you have a furry friend as they might try to eat or rub themselves into the feces of said birds.There is plenty of shade to just lay on the grass to come here for a picnic. But if that is not your cup of tea, there are plenty of tables, parking lots, and benches to set up shop on for a party, little get together or just to come eat your lunch.This a really large and long park, so coming here for a daily stroll or to job around is recommend as one round around the park is just enough for daily exercise.

We rented a shelter by the lake for my sisters birthday. Nice park to visit. Theres a park with multiple climbing/tower play spaces (slides, ladders, etc), swings (4 child, 2 infant) and seesaws (no merry-go-round). There is a pond with birds (dont feed them things that are bad for them like bread!) and lots of open grassy area good for playing, picnicking, dogs, etc. Its hilly and has paved paths (generally wheelchair/stroller mobility accessible) so you can hike or bike your way through. What a beautiful day, especially at Craig park. People were out enjoying the park on a day that was perfect for being outdoors. There were picnics, partys for Birthdays, a Wedding party I didnt crash! There was a lot of people throughout the park. Also a few baseball games were played at the other end of the park. Wow is this park BIG ! I know cause I drove from one end to the other looking for my friends who had balloons at their tables so we could find them easily. Unfortunately so did everyone else. Craig park sells the annual pass as early as 7am until 3:30pm on Mondays through Fridays in their entrance office, just ask for Raquel!Craig park is huge and has a man-made lake, which hosts the migrating birds. Please do not feed the wildlife. Also, avoid the geese, they are very protective of their youngs. Many of the sports facilities are toward the southwest back ends. Its a large park. More than enough real estate to get a break workout on. There is a path to follow around the outer edges of the entire area but it does have breaks in which you have to cross roads or walk a short distance with no path. This is an absolute stunning park. There is a ton of places to walk. There is a small lake/pond and a few playgrounds. Soccer fields and baseball fields. I believe there is even a field perfect for little rc or gas powered cars, remote control planes, helicopters, and possibly drones. The bathrooms are also open. The were kids enjoying the playgrounds, which is a nice change due to Covid-19.There is a small entrance fee. I believe it is $5 Monday thru Friday and $7 on weekends for regular sedans.My only complaint is that there is no set trail around the perimeter of the little pond. It was doable for one side of the pond with a stroller but the other side was through the road/parking lot and its not exactly safe to be pushing a stroller through.Dogs are allowed and from what I remember there were doggy bags available to pick up after them.Overall this is a beautifully large park, people are friendly and family oriented. Also there are bbqs there and plenty of tables/seating. I believe I saw 1 or 2 small charcoal grills people brought from home.I highly suggest going here.Also they do have seasonal parking passes available, I just dont know how the prices are.

I love this park so much. Its so peaceful and nobody bothers you. Theres plenty of paths to jog around that are beginner to moderate, and they all loop back around so you can do it for miles. You can even bring your dog, just make sure you keep it on a leash. I believe they charge anywhere from $3-5 for parking at the State College entrance but it depends on what day it is. My family is bad and we avoid the fee by parking on the Associated Rd. side of park and enter by the playground. The lake and creek always have ducks and birds of all kinds within and around it. I would always bring the little ones to feed them with bread, even though Im not sure if its allowed haha.It really is a nice park to bring the family to because you can barbecue using the grills, and you can even reserve the larger covered picnic areas for bigger groups of people. Craig Park is a well hidden secret. Its not only a great place to take the kids but its awesome for running and biking. We had a bday party and a family reunion here. This was amazing! I felt like a little kid. The attraction is over Feb. 25th, 2018. I hope to go again. I do wish they had more of a food selection. You must go to the artisan section. We bought an egg with the Chinese symbol of our year of birth, the dragon. The egg is painted from the inside, not the outside of the egg. It is a true work of art. The dancers and performers are a must see. This is at the far back of the venue and starts at 6:30 and 8:30. They are simply amazing. I had a wonderful time and it was worth 10 times the cost of entrance.

Rolling hills and well laid out walking routes. Great for kids on wheels. However ensure they can handle their braking systems on the downward slops of the paths. It is interesting but steep for kids.

Beautiful park that is much bigger than you would think at first glance. The pond in the center attracts all kinds of birds and you can even see turtles and frogs and occasionally. We love this park and highly recommend a picnic or a walk through when you have a chance. Craig park is a hidden north Orange county gem.

Huge amount of land to play around. Very nice park, kids love it. small lake and a lot of ducks swimming, maun entrancy is feom State Collage Blvd. Five dollars fee on weekends, but its worthy, Many people have small birthdays party there, because its a big park there is aleays space for everybody. I Recommended it.

Nice park. They have a marked trail thats about 2.5mi long with pretty good inclines and declines. There is a lake here too, I see people fishing all the time, just not sure what they are catching there, maybe an old boot.. Lots of different birds here, if you in to that kind of thing. Dont come after dark, kayotes galore here and they are not scared to approach bumans. Your little doggy will make a good a snack for them.

I love this park they have nice clean trails and basketball courts that aren’t over packed. This I a great place for a picnic. And you don’t have to pay for parking just park along the side of the park on the side of the road and enter the park from one of the residential paths.

This park is my favorite one. Good trails with ups and downs, bicycle trial, basketball courts and may more . It is a family place and you feel 100% safe here . The only con is they close very early around 6 pm even in the summer .

Beautiful park, well kept although very unfortunate that the racquetball courts could use some LTC, I found them a bit dusty and trashed, also with one major flaw is a 1/2 inch wide gap on the concrete running across the width of each court. This gap very frequently causes the ball to suddenly change direction, what where they thinking when they poured the concrete? these folks obviously dont play racquetball.Other than that, park is awesome.

Its a big park with several different playgrounds for kids, baseball fields, basketball courts, sand volleyball courts. It has a nice walking loop that goes around the park with views of the lake and the dam. You have to pay for parking inside the park but there is plenty of parking on the street for free.

I love this park. The best part is that if you don’t want to pay for parking ($3 weekdays, $5 weekends) you can easily find some on the street. The walk inside isn’t long at all. I bought a yearly pass today because I frequent it so much and sometimes I only have 10-15 minutes after work to go here before the sun goes down.

This park is huge! It was good for our whole family gathering with about 75 people. We rode bikes, roller blades, paddle boats and played on the playground. There is something for everyone at this park.

Wow, It was my first time, but I think it is one the best places for families and children to enjoy the nature and feed the ducks and beautiful view of the park.You can have BBQ too in there.
