My brother and I had a lot of fun shooting clays at Coyote.Staff are really friendly and facilities are super nice. Would advise practicing during mornings as the afternoons can get pretty hot! Many stations are shaded which does help outWe plan to come back! Super blessed to have this clay range so close to Silicon Valley.

I’ve known about this place for awhile but only started coming here this summer. It’s an amazing facility and easily one of the nicest in California for clay shooting. Front desk staff are super friendly and the facility is maintained very well. If you have any questions, check out their website as it’s very informative.

I’ve been here 3x now, bringing new people in for Irene to teach. Irene is such a good instructor, very patient and very sharp. I noticed that when I follow her instructions to the letter, I never miss! She’s excellent at what she does, and she’s great with kids! My 11-year old daughter managed to hit her targets well because she’s great at following instructions. My 16-year old son looked like a pro after the lessons. This whole exercise is also a great stress reliever! The whole place is like a scene in a postcard - very calming. Drive slowly when you get inside the property as animals cross the paths. You should check it out and try it with a great instructor like Irene. Better yet, include it in your bucket list!

This place is awesome. Its in a private valley and is very beautiful. These setups for each shoot were great. Prices are reasonable. The family and our friends had a blast.Just make sure to get there early. After 11am on the weekends it gets busy and you may have to wait at the stands. We got there before 9 and had no waiting before 11

I would give it 5 stars for the maintenance, the park in itself for aesthetics, and the unique shooting stations that I search wide for in regards to rabbits and bird. I, however, am dismayed at the select employee. A tall, blonde, and blue-eyed lady that makes me and others feel rather unwelcome from her uncordial approach. To work customer service is to not wear your feelings as a patch on your shoulder, it is to keep trying and put your own thoughts aside. Practice a little warmth and decency for the next that you like to judge as cover of book. Last I heard you want people to vote to keep you open, make us feel welcome to do so

Had a great day here with my partner. We dont have that much experience with shotguns, so we got an introductory lesson from one of the instructors, Gary D. Gary was incredibly helpful and insightful, covering the basics of safety, handling and etiquette, and giving us great tips on our form/posture etc. while we were shooting.

What an amazing place. Ive been to a number of sporting clay places, but none of them have quite been like Coyote Valley. Its like golf with shotguns. I love how easy they make it to go out and get a round in with your buddies, I plan on brining some more hunting buddies of mine next time.

This was my first time here and I really enjoyed it. I loved how many stations there were and the variety of them all. We went with a very large group and we were able to split up a little and see all of the stations. I would definitely go back.

A Distressing Experience, Tarnished ReputationI recently had a disheartening experience at Coyote Valley Sporting Clays, a place I had previously held in high regard. As someone who values security and customer service, my recent encounter was a true disappointment.It all started when I was asked to provide my credit card details over the phone to secure my booking - a practice I felt uncomfortable with due to the lack of adequate security measures. But, trusting the reputation of the establishment, I went ahead with the process. It was here that the cracks in their system began to show. I was notified that the payment could not be processed due to system errors on their end.Thinking it would be a minor hiccup, I expected the issue to be resolved promptly. To my surprise, I was then informed that they wouldnt be able to proceed with my booking, due to the said system errors. An inconvenience, but an acceptable one had it ended there. However, to add insult to injury, Coyote Valley Sporting Clays decided to retain the deposit that had already been deducted from my account, despite their own inability to finalize the transaction due to technical problems.When I reached out to them for a resolution, the customer service was far from satisfactory. Not only were my complaints met with indifference, but they also categorically refused to refund my deposit. This complete disregard for a customers valid concerns left me feeling disappointed and deceived.The whole experience has left a sour taste, and I find it hard to trust Coyote Valley Sporting Clays with my personal information or my money. Their system is flawed, their security questionable, and their customer service dismal. I expected more, especially given their standing in the community. Regrettably, the place is a stark reminder that reputation alone doesnt define the quality of service.In conclusion, I cant recommend Coyote Valley Sporting Clays to anyone until they overhaul their booking system, improve their payment security, and overhaul their approach to customer service. My experience has been a glaring testament to the fact that your personal information and hard-earned money might be at risk. I urge potential customers to consider these factors before making a reservation here.A Disappointing Follow-Up, CEOs Response Reveals Deep-Rooted IssuesSince my initial review of Coyote Valley Sporting Clays, there have been some unfortunate developments that I feel compelled to share. The CEO took it upon himself to respond to my critique. While I was initially hopeful that this meant my concerns were being taken seriously, it quickly became evident that this was not the case.Instead of addressing my concerns in a professional manner, the CEO opted to resort to personal attacks, gaslighting, and fabricating facts to create a narrative where I was somehow the one at fault. Where do I start?My girlfriend & I are complete shotgun novices. We arrived (following a ringing endorsement from a friend) and Irene took us under her wing. What an amazing person, a credit to her profession. She walked us through the different type of guns, ammunition, how to carry everything correctly. She was patient, personable and just good fun. Not only would I recommend her and this place to anyone to try, I already have!Well be back!PS: training coordinator Ron is another funny & amazing guy. Organizing this from the very off was a breeze and so much fun...before we even got to the course!!10/10!!

Came here as a work trip and was my first time shooting. I was pleasantly surprised by the grounds and the equipment on the property.The staff was kind and helpful.The whole operation seemed to be very professionally run, and it was a world away from the hustle of the Bay Area.We had an instructor who was patient and calm, and who helped us learn to shoot and navigate the course.All in all, Ill definitely consider coming back if I have the urge to do some shooting again in the future.

Great sporting clays and skeet location! Prices are very reasonable, especially when renting from them. Each station has its own unique challenge and the variety is great! It can often be busy, especially on the weekends, but you can expect most people to cycle stations quickly. We keep coming back!

We went as a family as first timers and had a great time. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere relaxed.Im sure they have plenty of good instructors but I can not emphasize enough how our particular instructor influenced our experience. She is personable, knowledgeable, patient and expert at spotting our mistakes.Missed a target? Irene had spotted the problem before I had pulled the trigger . Some gentle advice and a little adjustment and Blam! Little bits of clay filled the sky.Whether you are a novice or experienced youll be a better shot by the end of the session. Definitely, without a doubt, 100% - ask for Irene!

What a hidden playground. Yes this place is so much fun. Driving in golf carts shooting guns! It is like golf going hole to hole only you shoot with a shotgun. Each station on the main course is different. There are traditional trap and skeet as well. A variety of areas to test your skills. You can rent guns, get snacks and drinks there even beer. So go and enjoy a day outdoors blasting away. Bring a camera as well great sights to photograph.

John (trainer) made our Valentines day perfect! My man and I made a session with John for about 1.5 hours. John went through safety precautions, technique, and coached us through each step of the way. We appreciated how encouraging and patient John throughout our session. When we missed a shot, he gave us suggestions on where to keep our eye the next time or how we can improve. John is a great trainer! We highly recommend him for anyone new or even rusty on their aim trying to improve. You wont regret it!

Good Part: It is an excellent location. They have a very nice store with a nice selection of guns. MOST of the staff are very nice. Probably the only Sporting Clays around.Bad Part: Its too crowded on weekends. I never go there on weekends. Their skeet range could be maintained better. Their Trap range is SAD! They also need to check rounds people are shooting. I have been shooting Skeet and I have been peppered with shot from the Sporting Clays. This has happened on at least 3 different occasions. Last... They give classes at the busiest times. An instructor has one student and a number of Paying Customers have to wait around. This seems like Poor Management!

I booked the guided lessons for a group of eight people. We had two instructors. They were very friendly and took us to multiple shooting stations while explaining how to shoot at each station.Recommend wearing something warmer during the winter. It gets chilly.

This is was first time holding a gun and I pretty much hit atleast one clay in each station we went to.Bring your own safety glasses & ear plugs to avoid overspending. Best to come early and leave early to get access to all the stations.Would be nice to have coffee, phone charging stations & other items for purchase like a usb cable/charger for phone. My phone died and I was not familiar with the route. Better to have your own car charger handy.

Best clay range for hundreds of miles. 35 cents per bird, nice ranges, well maintained and stocked. Borrow great over under remingtons if you dont have a gun, shells are always 1 dollar less per box than stores, has a great gun shop with guns from private sellers and the store. Has a raffle for shotguns with pretty good chances of winning. Fridge with cold beverages always, free coffee. Shop has limited products. Free shell bags to borrow for the day. Basically, can show up with just money, nothing else, and can have a great time.

This is such an amazing place!! They offer Sporting clays and skeet course. If you are not familiar, sporting clays are like golf but with shotguns. The sporting clays range is soo much fun! You walk to each station (they do rent golf carts) and push a button to launch a clay. You can work as a team with one person pulling the clays or by yourself using the system in delay mode. You can rent or bring your own gun, can also buy ammo (wal-mart has better deals on ammo). Each station is unique and you pay by the clay, so if you want you can just stay at a given station all day (making allowances for others who want to play through.)

Bang Bang Bang!Definitely a great place for a date (depending on the girl) or a surprise date for a guy! What guy/girl doesnt like to shoot and let out some steam?My friend suggested this place and at first I was skeptical because I was afraid of the recoil from previous experiences with shooting. Im glad hes a pro cause he definitely knew what he was doing. He chose the shotgun with the least amount of recoil. He also warned me about how I would get some bruising on my shoulder from holding the shotgun. Next time, I should bring some shoulder pads or a makeshift shoulder pad.There are about 20 courses, which is a lot! Each course has their own uniqueness to it. You can even rent a go cart to drive around to the courses. The clay birdies that roll on the ground are usually called rabbits which is cute. You can spend from a couple of hours or a whole day shooting.In our group of 6, we shared about 300 bullets and even had bullets left over. The unopened left overs, you can return. You pay after you finishing shooting. Each of us paid about less $40.Ill definitely come back, with the right shoes, a hat, shades and my makeshift shoulder pad.

This place is a BLAST. There are a few dozen stations you can walk to. Some are for single shot practice. Others are for two types of shot. Still others are full skeet and/or trap setups. I like how you get a little magnetic card that counts how many targets you have shot at. This is the most fun Ive had shooting targets in the SF Bay Area.

I have been shooting at Coyote Valley Sporting Clays for 3 years so far, but today is my first time experienced issue with them. I have been shooting so far with my 22 inch shot gun that has pistol grip there with no problem, but today the girl at the front desk made it a drama and said no pistol grip allowed. I always follow the range rules, so I asked her whether there is any rule of Coyote Shooting Clay says Shotgun with pistol grip is not allowed. She could not find such rule either online or in the rule list posted in the office.I have been shooting at Coyote Valley Sporting Clays for more than 10 times without any problem with this same 22 inch barrel shotgun which has pistol grip. Today she became the show stopper. At the end, she said I need to contact the owner Tom for escalation about pistol grip rule, but she cannot allow me to shoot there today. Obviously, I did not violate any rule because there is no such rule yet saying no pistol grip. I asked her how to contact the owner to find out exactly about pistol grip rule, so that next time I will just bring another gun, she could not provide me the phone number, but just provided me info@coyote general email address. I also consulted their onsite shooting instructor about pistol grip rule. The instructor did not say yes or no about it.So BEWARE California shotgun owners, PISTOL GRIP IS NOT WELCOMED there no matter the barrel length, although they do not have any such rule yet as of Dec 2017.
