Really enjoyed this track. You will need a good driver on several Valley course holes. Good opportunities to score. Very open fairways, little to no elevation. Greens, fairways, and bunkers were in good shape. Nice practice facility with practice putting green. We were there Memorial Day but pace of play was still very good. Friendly pro shop thats well stocked. To go bar/grille was a bit slow so plan on a 15-20 minute wait for food.

Both the valley and tournament courses are designed by Jack Nicholas, played at the Valley Course, I would say its a fine course, as theres not much design on the set-up of the courses, except Hole 7 needs to fly the ball across the pond, the rest are plain and simple.Maybe this is the way it was designed to be.

I love the course layouts. Between Valley and Tournament courses, we can choose easy or difficult to meet different players. Chipping greens is top notch, none came close in the bay area. tee times prices are reasonable. And the staffs are always friendly and helpful. on one occasion, I packed my clubs but left the driver at home. the staff was able to loan me a used driver to play for the day.Keep up the great work!

Had lunch at the restaurant. The server was very attentive and patient. The food presentation was superb, portion was sensible, and it was tasty, too!The views were so beautiful, and I appreciated the fact that they have both outdoor and indoor dining.The golf shop has fairly priced stuff, too. Got a straw hat from there.

I hosted a tournament recently and every aspect was 5 star. I will be looking to host my tournament at the golf club again next year. Working with Diane and Kayla was a breeze, they made everything very clear and expectations were met to make me look like a super star to my guests. The course was in great condition and I would recommend to anyone thinking about hosting their event here to go ahead and book it!

We played the Tournament Course which I didn’t find as tough as last time I played it 20 years ago. The course had just been aerated, but was still in very good condition. The holes on the upper side of the 101 are the most interesting and visually appealing. Pace of play was excruciatingly slow. At the turn I pointed out to a course marshal that the group in front of us consisted of five players.I have never experienced this on a quality course before and since we were a twosome, we waited typically 5-10 minutes per hole.If the course think that this is acceptable then they should inform visitors in their literature. I paid what I consider a lot of money, $70 per head for myself and my son and did not see once anyone driving round checking on the speed of play.I would give Coyote Creek five stars, however the slow play very much tainted the experience.

Coyote Creek Golf, visible from the 101 freeway, boasts one of the best practice facilities in the Bay Area. They offer a real grass range where you can hone your skills, including chipping and bunker shots. The course itself is beautifully maintained. I recommend calling ahead to book directly and avoid the GolfNow fees. Its a fantastic course offering both the Valley and tournament courses. Im looking forward to renting a Finn bike for the first time this Wednesday for my tee time

This place is awesome. It has one of bay areas best golf courses and a nice restaurant. Parking is very big and is handicap ♿️ friendly. Restaurant has one of great party area and outdoor seating with amazing views. If you are hosting a bday party please be sure to make good food arrangements. They cater their own food items. It also has a nice gift shop. Restrooms are handicap ♿️ friendly. Great getaway from busy bay area.

Im a wedding photographer, and Ive been to a LOT of venues. This one is by far my favorite!The scenery is beautiful and makes for gorgeous sunset portraits. The staff was easy to work with and made sure everything went smoothly. They provided an area for the bride to get ready, which made things really easy for everyone involved. Theres also a free roam grass area near where the ceremony took place—it was perfect!

I played Coyote Creek (Valley Course) for the first time on July 18th. I used the GolfNow app and the cost was $66 including cart. I teed off about 10:00 a.m. The weather was perfect. The tee boxes are in good shape and I enjoyed the fact that the course was relatively wide open.The greens were relatively fast and in good shape although there seems to be a small segments of players that dont do a great job of repairing their divots.The staff was responsive and courteous. As a non-tesla driving electric vehicle owner, it would be cool to have the ability to charge my car while I play, but that was really no big deal.Having played many municipal courses around the area, I can honestly say that the combination of price and quality at Coyote Creek makes this a tremendous golfing value. Next up I look forward to playing the tournament side.

Course was really clean and fun. The customer service was sub par according to the quality of the course. Me and my friends were given attitude and grumpiness from the pro shop attendant and making us go to the back of the line after we mentioned we wanted a cart because he didn’t want to add another transaction after we paid. Enjoyed the course greatly but the customer service ruined the first couple of holes.

Valley Course: Nice course that is pretty open and easy for less experienced golfers. Most the holes are pretty straight and not too many trees or hazards. Course is in nice shape. Not a bad value for $68. We walked but the golf carts looked nice with GPS. Definitely want to try the tournament course next time. It looked pretty nice.

Played with a friend. Great course for visitors. Made to feel very welcome.The satnav on the buggy was a horror, it kicked in half way round and then kept flicking on and off. Check yours is working before you set out.The course is well laid out and maintained.Food in clubhouse afterwards was reasonably priced but a little under inspiring although service was good.

Other than pricing this is a real great place to play. Ive only played the Valley course, but it was well maintained and an interesting track. Rough is not too penal, and fairways and greens are pretty smooth. 7 bucks for a small warm up bag of balls and 6.50 for s very small polish dog. I would honestly go 4.4 on this course if i could. Play can be a little slow. There was no marshals the day i played. Would definitely recommend.

The venue here was nice. I had my prom in what I believed was the main building. The food was okay and I got some really great pictures. It seemed like the venue needed a bit of renovation, but the bathrooms and anteroom were quite nice. My only complaint is that it was a little small.

Played 4/12/24. Painfully slow. No marshal. One dude at the turn house (the starter). Apparently his job is only to start. Definitely not interested in speeding up play at the turn. He can see there is a huge backup and he does NOTHING. Hire someone to do their job!

This is always my go-to place for practicing my game. The range is only grass tees which is tough to find in the Bay Area and a must for me while the short game and putting areas have plenty of space without feeling crowded. The conditions of both courses (Valley & Tournament) are usually pretty consistent and pace of play has never been too bad for me.

Had a great day there yesterday, played the valley coarse, pretty open course great condition. We finished and went to the bar, got a drink and some food then played 12 holes on the tournament course which is along the edge of some rolling hills along side the freeway. Tight course but enjoyable.

Went there for a little bunker practice. One of the few places where one can practice fairway bumker shots. Was incredibly windy in the afternoon though, so dont expect to blast 250 yard drives.Stopped by this morning, range is in fairly good shape considering the rain.Update 230908. Bunkers are thin, not worth practice out of, range area is in poor shape, probably will not be making the trip here for a very long time.

I took a walk on a nice and quiet trail and ended up with this beautiful golf course. I wonder if they have any class for beginners, but I would love to spend time here playing or eating at the restaurant. The staffs here are friendly and helpful when I ask for membership.

With so many great courses in the Bay Area, Coyote Creek is among my favorites. Great staff and great courses. The courses are well-kept, challenging, and fun. I especially love the holes on the east side of the highway with the peace and quiet. I always feel like I have the course to myself when I play those holes. Its a 60 mile one-way drive for me but Ill make that drive to Coyote with no second thoughts.

Conveniently located right next to hwy 101, unfortunately, that also means the players would hear the highway noises from time to time. The club house is kind of nice. But, the courses themselves were not that impressive. The condition was okay, but it was so flat without much elevation changes or any sceneries. There were water and environmental hazards which created some challenges.

Hosted our wedding at this beautiful location in February. Had an Indian ceremony and a reception. They were very accommodating for changes needed for our cultural wedding. Guests enjoyed the lovely scenery and the beautiful outdoor reception area. Kudos to Haley (the director of events at Coyote creek) for making this occasion flawless and smooth for us.

Course was really fun and had a great time. However staff was little unfriendly. We had a 2:30 tee time. Showed up at 2:10, got to pro shop at 2:15, there was about 10 people in line and the man working was going very slow. We eventually got to the front at 2:29, where we were scolded for being late to the tee time, then not sure if he heard us, but we asked for 2 carts, so he rung my friend up, but only gave 1 cart key, we asked for the second one and he said he only rang us up for 1 cart. So we asked if he could get us another and he told us we would have to go to the back of the line, whcih was already long again. So we played a round with 2 of us in a cart and 2 of us walking. I understand you need to be there early for the tee time, however we were in line for a lot longer than expected. Other than that, course was really good, and we still had a great time!!

The courses are good, the newer management is not so good. I used to work at the original Riverside golf course before it became Coyote Creek as range/cart employee. The previous Coyote Creek management use to run the place better. Now the newer management is really an annoyance. They seem to arbitrarily enforce some their policies only sometimes on some folks, jacked the prices up a lot, and dont marshall the course to keep speed of play consistent. I have seemed to get reprimanded about something lame most times I go there now. I have had a lot of poor experiences with management playing there since the new management has been there.

I really want to like the tournament course here. The fairways are kept in good conditions. But after my 4th time playing today I have had enough. The greens are terribly kept for the price and not a single time have they been consistently rolled. We started as a 2some at 9:30am on a Wednesday and it took 5 hours to finish. It’s pretty clear management here wants to make it look good from a far, but the reality is far from good.

We had a tee time yesterday at 3:25. My husband was going to play while me and my son were going to watch and use one golf cart. The front desk at the pro shop (middle aged Asian male) said that they do not allow 3 people using a golf cart. We told him that that we played here last year and were allowed to do this. The worker said that either my husband and I can be on the course with the cart or we have my son stay in the restaurant. Um...Im not going to leave my 8 year old son there! I started to get angry with what he said and we asked can we pay for a second golf cart then for me and my son. Apparently that wasnt allowed. So we cancelled our tee time. As soon as we left, we saw THREE people sharing a golf cart on the green. We left a message and emailed the GM about this. We have NEVER been treated like this before at this golf course until now, and the nerve to have the pro shop employee tell us that we have the option of leaving our child by himself at the restaurant while my husband plays golf and I’m with him at the course !? We are never going back here again.

The fairways are in bad shape due to all the wild bore / pigs rooting up the. fairways. Also the sand traps were in horrible shape nobody seems to rake anymore and we teed off early so the grounds crew didnt take care of it from the day before. You have to maintain the course. We played the championship course .

Nice looking course. Extremely windy when we went (like hats wouldn’t stay on head). Most confusingly signed course we’ve been too. Bring a map! First hole nowhere near pro shop and no signs how to get there. Very hard to find next hole due to lack of signs. Only soft drinks sold at pro shop, which was surprising. Would have been nice to have a beer along the very long walk on the course. Greens Kept decently. Ground squirrels and holes everywhere. Greens were slow and very sandy, causing the ball to veer off even though there was no break.

A blonde teenage boy (I’m assuming a worker) was hauling golf carts going around blind corners at extreme speeds almost hit me and my daughter yesterday afternoon we tried to call the golf course no one answered tried again no answer still. Charges $92/person with bad greens on the Valley Course for afternoon tee time. Greens were aerated and filled with sand at the time. Online booking through EZ Book and no indication greens were being aerated on the website, nor gave a discount. I feel like local Muni would have been more enjoyable.Staff is friendly and it is still beautiful so that’s a plus.

Ist experience playing golf here; played as part of a foursome of friends from around the San Francisco Bay Area. The fairways are well maintained with a fair amount of hazards. The greens were very nice, a bit fast. Pace of play was very good.

Best greens Ive played all year. Course is in excellent shape. 98 dollars (includes the cart) aint cheap but you get what you pay for. I found 50 to be a little hefty for rental clubs however but that was the only complaint I have. Next time Im bringing my own clubs.

Enjoyed playing here. They have a nice course, though not a lot of variety on the holes as far as terrain. It’s a relatively flat course. Great pace of play. Somewhat confusing directional markers for the next hole at a few of the holes. Overall had a good, fun round. Have played here a few times.

Its a really great golf course. The place has a so much to offer. Theres two courses there. The Valley course is really good for all skill levels. Beginners to scratch golfers. Then the the Tournament course is tough & you should be a pretty good golfer to play that one.

The course, its self, was very nice. Well maintained, greens rolled true, cant complain. Service was nice, and courteous. Actually informed us on some local places to eat as well. The downside is if you want a steady pace of play, you wont find it here. We had four groups backed up hole to hole, without a Marshall in site. So unless you dont mind a 6 hour round of golf, then keep that in mind when coming to play golf. For me, its a deal breaker. Also the course is right on the highway, but its not that noisy. The course I play on at home is the same way, and a lot louder, but you tend to forget the highway is there, here. Great course, great service, no concept of pace of play.Side note, if you plan to play with a set of rental clubs, make sure you do what I failed to do, and ask what kind of clubs they are. I wasnt expecting anything special, but sheesh.

I just left the Valley Course after nine holes. They said that there is no carts allowed in that course. But all morning I was pushed off by carts behind me. I was spent and rushing all morning in this course that is long in the first place. Don’t tell me that there are no carts and then there are two groups behind me with carts. What a horrible experience. I just wasted my time and money looking forward to playing.

Played Valley course from white tee. It is mostly flat and easier to play but a few par-4 holes challenges you with 400+ yards. On a hot summer days, the course would be too hot to play with most trees are short and not providing much needed temporary shelters with shade. Cold water dispensers were great relief.

I played the Tournament Course, PLUS SIDE... each hole is enjoyable with its own unique personality and presents challenges. Not for beginners. Staff at club house were cordial and helpful. Food in dining room was well presented and delicious...with reasonable pricing. Dining staff attentive and professional. MINUS SIDE...maintenance of course overall appears to have diminished a bit...more than a few rough/bare areas on fairways. Most of all, I greatly encourage the staff to replaced the hard caked dirt in the bunkers with sand.This course could be a real gem if brought up to higher standards.

Played the Valley course from the GolfNow app. While it was a good deal for a good course, the app failed to mention the Valley course is a WALKING ONLY course. NO CARTS ALLOWED. The course doesnt rent push carts either. I didnt know either of this until I checked in and tried to rent carts.The course itself is in good shape, although the greens were a bit bumpy since they had been aerated at the beginning of September 2020.

Worst customer service I have experienced in my life at a golf course. Asian lady booking tee time was extremely rude and hung up the phone.The Asian lady I spoke with was not in the pro shop, she was setting up tee times. Tournament Course was in fantastic shape. Went as a single and then management said I would probably have to ride with a person from the other threesome. They said they had a 2 cart limit per group. First time Ive encountered this. It turned out that the threesome never showed up and not sure whether they wouldve enforced this had they shown. Got paired with a last minute twosome. Either way, once we jumped over a slower foursome ahead of us, we did 18 in 3.5 hours starting @ 10:30 on a Sunday. Not bad.Challenging course and def will try to come back

The green were p u r e. If you havent played here, just keep in mind theres a couple 400+ yd par 4s that play into a pretty strong wind regularly. Make sure you stretch and hit a few balls because youre gonna need to have a few hefty drives in the bag.

The course was good shape and enjoyed a day time except the bunker play which caused a bad moment all day long. After 18 holes, visited the practice bunker place with a couple of practice balls someone left over. Tried hit some of bunker shot before heading back home. A driving range guy came to me and asked to leave because I grabbed a ball on the range left over or he will call the police. Very weird but felt I should stay away from this course going forward where gave me a trouble a day long.

Great golf course. Pin placements are tough. Club choice is very important because of the terrain. Take an extra club length for uphill shots on the front 9 and play aggressively on the back nine.

I am not a fan of Nicklaus designs, but the Tournament COurse is a pretty sweet track. Overall the course was in nice shape. Greens were very good, traps, while well maintained, could use some additional sand. I paid the $50 internet rate to play on a Tuesday morning; I thought it was a pretty good value

They helped us do a Celebration of Life after my husband recently passed away and Steve did a terrific job when we asked for more of a comfort food menu providing a beautiful dinner, a microphone so people could talk about my husband and the tables were beautifully done and it was a very good evening. Because of COVID we were no longer allowed to play at our previous course and had no place to hold our home matches. I am a huge fan of Coyote Creek. This past winter and spring were extremely wet. Everywhere we played in the Bay Area the courses were very soft and muddy. Balls plugging everywhere, greens, fairest and in the rough. Not at Coyote Creek. I dont know how they manage to make it drain so well, but during the same rainy period, Coyote Creek was still playing fast and firm. Balls actually bounced in the fairways and rolled out. Really amazing, and a lot more fun than the mud ball conditions we found everywhere else.

I feel bad giving the Golden Bear only 3 stars but when I take the time to remember how the management team operates here I am quickly reminded why and as a matter of fact the more I think about how poorly managed this place is I am tempted to take down to 2 stars but can’t do that out of respect to Jack. Hey coyote creek management here’s an idea, and i know it’s going to sound completely crazy, but how about you tell your Marshall’s to ACTUALLY REGULATE PACE OF PLAY! If beginners are left to their own devices they will just slow down to create artificial space with the group in front of them. This ill advised, poor excuse for etiquette trickles down and create a course that is literally operating as fast as the slowest group of hacks out there! That’s not how it’s supposed to work, obviously that initially slow group should be sped up so there is no need for others to slow down which low and behold facilitates what? Say it with me coyote staff, an “ACCEPTABLE PACE OF PLAY!!” It’s not rocket science and for $100+ it should be the minimum amount of service provided.Also how about us paying customers who are forking out over $100 get a separate section o. The range or at least have some stalls reserved! I shouldn’t have to forfeit warming up before an expensive round because some d bag needs to hit 3 buckets of balls because he wants to show off to his tinder date. Get it together coyote, Jack’s legacy deserves better than this!!

Was in town for the Open and decided to play this course. We were paired with a couple of members (M&M) great guys, helped us with the course layout. There was a three-som in front of us that were very slow, we waited on just about every hole on the front. When we made the turn we found that the three-som was now a five-som. We made it to thirteen and had had enough, the pro shop asked the Marshal to check the situation out. I told the folks in the pro shop that maybe they should have more than one Marshal for two 18 hole courses.
