2024-06-25 18:21:26As many other reviews have mentioned, this hotel is under renovation. I understand the need to do such work, but I just find it so annoying to only find out about this when you arrive. Yes, the main Marriott website makes a small mention of it, but its easy to miss this and to fully understand the impact. They should email you after making a booking with a more substantial and honest explanation of the situation. The rooms are fine, but everything else is seemingly a working construction zone, complete with water drips in the hallway, ceilings left unexposed, and just general dust and dirtiness. Also, the wifi in the room was at a very slow speed. I had a pressing Zoom call to take and my only option was to try and work in the lobby area. Bad decision. Once on the call, all the power tools and banging kicked into high gear. So disruptive! Oh, and they turned all the water off during the day too...The worst part is that the nightly rates they are charging are not any lower than normal. I would avoid this particular Marriott at all costs until they are finished with the construction work.

2024-07-04 16:47:13Clean room, great location - perfect for your halfway stop between NorCal and SoCal.Rooms are clean, facilities are great. They have a gym with weights and yoga equipments, swimming pool etc.Ample parking and during our visit they were not charging for parking. On the bonvoy app, it mentions that parking is $6per night.Food here at the lobby for breakfast was surprisingly good. Really enjoyed it.

2024-02-20 14:39:12Stuff was very friendly and accommodating, but $600 for three nights and Courtyard by Marriott no longer serves free breakfast which I was not the only one surprised, its too expensive. Id rather stay in a motel 6 and walk to breakfast somewhere even though the room was quiet and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. There was nothing to walk to for food from this hotel. And the prices they charged for food including breakfast was very high, even though the very nice staff custom made me a few eggs and toast they were very nice. Still, I wont stay in another Marriott by Courtyard because they do not serve free breakfast anymore and they were too expensive and there was nowhere to walk to get food in this particular courtyard.

2024-06-18 14:28:55Out of all the hotels i’ve stayed at and have eaten at this is by FAR the WORST. It was an experience I absolutely don’t want to happen again. The so called breakfast was an assortment of fruit with no real sustenance. The room was tiny and smelt like fish. While booking I wish I was informed about the construction going on and the hotels inability to hit the standards that were promised on the website. As well as the poor pool quality, pumping my back with what felt like a cold knife . If I knew it was going to be like this I would’ve gone to motel six!

2024-05-25 22:28:35Hotel was undergoing renovations during my stay (May 2024), but room itself was great, and service very friendly. Free lemonade and chocolate chip cookies in the lobby during checkin, and guests could spin a wheel for prizes (e.g., 1000 extra points, free Starbucks drink, 2pm late checkout)

2024-06-16 04:57:39Everything was good and I told hotel staff that maintenance needed to have someone look at the lights on the bathroom tub as I woke to find the fixture dripping water from the room above

2023-05-03 00:58:51First and foremost, I would like to commend the hotel on its exceptional cleanliness. It is clear that the staff takes great pride in keeping the rooms and common areas spotless, and this made for a comfortable and pleasant stay. I also appreciated the maintenance of the hotel - everything was well-maintained and in good working order, which made our stay worry-free.But what really stood out to me was the staffs eagerness and politeness. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly and made to feel welcome by Jocelyn and again later by Aurora. The staff was always on hand to assist with anything we needed, and their friendliness added a personal touch to our stay.I must also mention the excellent bistro service. The food was delicious, and the service was top-notch. Brett, Angie, Jack, Amy, and Lori went above and beyond to ensure that we had a memorable dining experience, and I appreciated their attention to detail and willingness to accommodate our needs.Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Paso Robles. The staffs eagerness and politeness, great maintenance, and excellent bistro service combined with the hotels exceptional cleanliness make it a top-notch choice for travelers. We look forward to returning again soon!

2023-10-29 17:18:03The new spec rooms from Marriott are a step up from the prior. Much more comfortable seating. Room was quiet and bright. Nice view of the hills. Staff have been fantastic. This facility has been a bright spot in a sea of lousy lodging experiences over the past few years.

2023-11-20 17:13:01Made a reservation for our anniversary only to find out at check in that there were current renovations on the 2nd floor and we would be on the 4th. The room had been stripped of any decor… even the towel racks and knobs were missing with exposed holes. Shower curtain was too short (width) and held by a suspension rod with newly purchased stickers on it. Dents and chips and scratches all over the entry and bathroom doors. When bathroom mirror fogged it was grimy and been wiped with a dirty cloth. No place to set toiletries in the shower- had to set all on the floor. The bathroom had NO ventilation. Fridge did not work. Came back from dinner and our hallway and room smelled like several rooms had cooked FULL MEALS and the smell lingered all night. Couldn’t open the window to air it out because there was no screen. The elevators were filthy with hand prints from work materials all over the walls. Next morning at check out I asked why the rooms were not at standard and they tried to convince us it we had stayed in a NEWLY RENOVATED room. I did not appreciate the lack of trust in my word. I asked why a renovated room has a suspension rod for a shower curtain etc and offered pictures and the front desk looked puzzled. Said that all they could do was give us a discount. I’m so disappointed in Courtyard by Marriott. This is not at all what we expected. To add insult and almost injury, my husband was transferring luggage to our parked car and there was a power cord going across the sidewalk that he tripped on and almost fell. He noticed that there was NO caution cones and it was not taped down. He tripped on it so hard it pulled the cord out of the socket across the driving entrance. I heard their renovated rooms were nice… but we will NOT be back and risk spoiling another special trip like an anniversary. By the way, I’m only posting this because I wrote to two different people in management and I got a letter of apology from one person and nothing more. Don’t risk a special weekend here. It is clear they make a great deal of money on each room but are not concerned about their guest’s experience while there. The only area of the hotel we appreciated was the people cooking and serving breakfast. They were lovely and the breakfast and coffee were very good.
