2024-03-21 18:09:23This facility is the worst facility in Granite Bay for people to bring their loved ones and spend so much money for them to get better care. This facility is not the place it is the absolute worst place to have your loved one live at they are understaffed the directors don’t know what they’re doing, they sit in the office every day not doing nothing. Wow the caregivers who do show up and are there overwork themselves by doing care and dining. They only get served one meal and not an alternative like they are supposed to. If you ask me, I think they pocket money And try to budget off what they can and that is not right for the amount of money the residence pay to live at that facility poor quality in everything laundry rooms are a mess. They have their staff meetings in the main lobby. You have resident that will fall on the floor and the care staff will just pick them up instead of assisting them And doing proper protocol because that is what they are assigned to do. I have been in some facilities where directors, old or new will get on the floor and help if the facility is short staffed Not this place if you have a loved one at Country House, Granite Bay on Barton Road I advise you to do a proper look and fully investigate

2024-03-14 18:26:52Employee turnover during the past few months has proven to be rather unsettling and has resulted in some decline in the level of care. However, I do appreciate that personnel changes, to some degree, are inevitable in all organizations and I hope that current management is bringing this under control with the goal of restoring the previous level of resident care and activity.

2024-06-14 19:36:06I want to revise a previous favorable review to a unfavorable review about Countryhouse of Granite Bay, Several months before moving my loved one out of CountryHouse, I noticed some drastic changes, from the staff, the meal quality, and the overall care for the residents. Within a few short months, several caregivers, who I considered to be the best, left CountryHouse. A few confided in me because they cared for the residents and felt they could no longer provide adequate care due to short staffing and budget cuts. The Activity Director, who worked hard to provide engaging activities for the residents, quit. I began to notice during my visits in the late afternoons, early evenings, that the residents were all congregated in the common area, sitting in front of the television, with either no supervision, or only one caregiver in site. The residents were lethargic and appeared to be drugged. I questioned management about their staffing ratio to resident and documented their response. I was told that generally the ratio was 4 caregivers for 37 residents. As bad as that sounds, in actuality, the facility was regularly running on 2 caregivers for 37 residents. Clearly, there is no way that a resident could have their needs met with such limited staffing. My loved ones disease had progressed to the point that he needed assistance with eating. I noticed a rapid weight loss and learned that he had lost close to 30 lbs. in 5 months! I began to visit during mealtimes, and personally witnessed staff place a plate of food in front of my loved one and walk away. When it was time to clear the tables, the plate was taken away from him. He was literally starving! I immediately met with the Dir, Jessica, and Roschea, Nurse. I was fed more lies! I moved my loved one out of CountryHouse within 3 days of that incident. He spent his last months at a wonderful Board and Care facility, Cana House. He left this world with the dignity & respect he and all residents of CountryHouse deserve! CountryHouse had the audacity to bill us for the following month citing their 30 day advance notice in their Rule Book! Who should pay over $8,000 to be neglected and abused? Still, Leticia, Executive Dir, Nursing, manipulated our Long Term Care insurance to send CountryHouse the check directly, and endorsed it! It took over 4 months of emails to the CEO, Marty Hug in NB, providing supporting documentation of lies and abuse, to finally get a refund check. DO NOT PLACE A LOVED ONE IN COUNTRYHOUSE!

2018-02-16 17:28:20My mom has been at CountryHouse since it opened in October, 2016. Though it got off to a very rocky start, I am pleased that the key staff has now stabilized. I am extremely particular when it comes to the care of my mom. My mom is happy here and she is showered with lots of love and kisses right down to the hairdresser. The staff is very caring, and along with the executive director and her assistant, they are always responsive to my expectations and concerns. The activity director and her assistant are top notch. I have benefited from several private meetings with their dementia consultant, Laura Wayman. If you are looking for a loving, family oriented facility, I think that CountryHouse would meet your needs.

2018-02-15 06:22:43I cant describe the angst that I had while trying to find the perfect place for my folks. The siblings and I had promised that we would keep our folks in their house until it was no longer safe and so the decision to relocate our parents into a memory care Facility was troubling at best for me. After looking at places for over 6 months I just happened to come upon The Granite Bay CountryHouse facility being built during the summer of 2016. After touring and extensive research on the internet, I came to the conclusion that I had found the right place for my folks to spend the last days of their lives. After 16 months of daily living with the support staff of The Granite Bay CountryHouse I have not once regretted my decision. It has not been easy, but the staff has never once felt like hired help. They have always treated my folks like their parents and truly seem to care about them and their quality of life. I could talk about the food, which is great, or how they were able to steal the best directors (activities, nursing, etc,)from other facilities, which they did in my opinion, but I would rather tell you how much my folks have enjoyed this past 16 months of their lives. My folks are a very private couple who have a vain streak in them (never knew till this year). They never wanted to admit that they needed help. The staff was able to maintain my folks dignity while giving the help that they needed during their everyday lives. The folks were able to go on outings, interact with other residents, exercise safely, and throw parties. I will always love this amazing staff and because they provide the whole package I will always believe that I made the right decision for my folks.

2019-03-31 19:56:57As a placement agent I am familiar with many assisted living communities. CountryHouse is special because it caters specifically to memory challenged seniors, and they do all the little things that set it apart. But aside from the wonderful community, they have done a great job of hiring good, caring and loving people. In working with one of my clients recently, Patti Blaney really went out of her way to make the family feel welcome and work with the family to develop a transition plan for their loved one.

2018-05-10 17:45:32This is an outstanding community of highly trained, attentive and loving caregivers, support staff who are sensitive and engaged with residents, and a management team that’s totally committed to outreach with family members. The professionalism and dedication of everyone here continually amazes me. CountryHouse has a unique team philosophy of “all hands on deck,” where everyone is willing to assist each other regardless of hierarchy. It cultivates the wonderful atmosphere of camaraderie and joy that fill this community. My mom moved in almost a year ago and she receives the most sensitive and individualized care I could hope for. Never once have I heard the word “no” spoken to any resident here. The facility and gardens are beautiful. Channels of communication with family are wide open, at every level. The all-inclusive pricing structure is transparent and an excellent value compared to the dozen other communities I researched and visited. I’m grateful beyond words that I just happened to be driving by one day and noticed their sign, since they were still too new to be listed with search services. For our family it truly was the stroke of luck of a lifetime to become part of the family at CountyHouse Granite Bay.

2018-02-15 01:19:48This Valentines Day reminds me of what an amazing example of love you are to each of your guests.I am writing this to possible future clients. I spent a whole summer visiting local places to handle the physical and mental needs my mother had developed. From the very get-go, the young woman who guided us (unannounced and unscheduled - spur of the moment visit) took us on a tour. What impressed me the most was that she talked directly to my mother, making eye contact and reading her concerns. My husband and I were afforded the opportunity to talk to The Dementia Whisperer (a consultant affiliated with CountryHouse), which made a huge difference in our understanding of what was happening to Mother. The staff has always been so helpful to us and considerate of all of Mothers various needs. They are open to our contributing Music and Art. They go out of their way to include families and visitors, and they have graciously handled unfortunate interference by an unpleasant family member. For us, CountryHouse has our confidence and applause for Mothers care on a very individual level. Her personal health has improved because she feels safe. There is consistency, understanding of dementia behavior, and a truly loving staff. We feel so lucky to have finally found what works for us! What you see really is what you get. Most sincerely, Sarah V. Bent

2018-02-14 18:24:12My 88 year old Mother loves living at CountryHouse Residence Granite Bay, CA. The staff is friendly, caring, loving, and very helpful. There are a lot of fun activities each day that are geared to her level. The cost is very reasonable too. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a memory care facility. My mother was in an assisted living facility for 3 years prior to living at CountryHouse and she is so much happier living at CountryHouse.

2018-05-08 21:08:26We’ve had a very positive and successful first three weeks. Our loved one has adjusted very well and we believe it has to do with the wonderful staff and environment. The staff is very caring and adjust their care approach based on what is best for the resident. In addition to the amazing staff, the food is tasty and the home is both beautiful and clean. We enjoy visiting and feel quite comfortable at Country House.
