EditedNew Review: The staff successfully fulfilled a part of my request and went the extra mile by personally emailing me to inform me that they had completed my request and specifying the location of the item in the store. However, they still lack a variety of vegetarian/vegan take-away or ready-to-cook options, which is why I am withholding the final star.Old Review: Giving them 3 stars only because they dont have any vegan options. Just one or two vegetarian/vegan(and those are just salads) take away options. I requested them on their website too about this, but I dont see any difference. Apart from this I love Costco!

The Costco store itself is exactly what I expect from a Costco - good service and low cost. Normally, I would leave a 5 star review because it does meet my expectations.Edit: If you need your phone unlocked and you are on the free phone plan, you might have to go through multiple people, but, if you press them, Costco can accelerate the phone payments so that you can unlock your phone.However, I would steer anyone away from the AT&T kiosk. The kiosk is a vendor. It is separate from both Costco and AT&T – so do not expect either company to help you with any issues that arise. If you choose to use the kiosk:1. Be very careful that you know what your contract says and do not rely on the assurances of the salespeople.2. If you have to call the AT&T Costco line, be aware that you might be transferred to a representative who is not aware of your Costco agreement.3. If you are offered a free phone, be aware that you will NOT be able to unlock it (regardless of what the sales staff tell you) without paying off your “free” phone.4. If you decide to return your phone within the 90 day grace period, you will receive no refund or compensation for your previously exchanged phone.5. Edited: The sales people varied from being helpful to completely unhelpful and excellent customer service to terrible customer service.

This costco is so unbelievably rude. This is not a once or twice thing, they are continuously harassing me any time I am here and treat the college students horrendously. I am not from Santa Barbara but this is the worst costco I have ever been to. They are so rude to me the whole time and will ask me to provide identification randomly through out the store and will be mad If i bring even a singular person who is not a member with me to help me out. I was fresh out of hospital resting in my bed as the doctors ordered and my girlfriend went to go get me supplies to feel better for the week coming up and they took my card from her and threaten to cancel my membership instead of just saying she cannot do that or god forbid be a little sympathetic to the situation. Most of the people who shop here are college students just trying to get by I think this multi million dollar corporation can afford having college students coming in to PURCHASE food

What can I say, it’s a Costco pretty much like any other Costco. I suppose a couple of small but notable differences are that there’s actually enough parking in this lot, and the store feels less busy than any other locations I’ve been to.

Great experience here! Super friendly staff and a great selection. I have been here a couple of times and I plan to continue shopping here. The location is great as there are lots of shops in the area. It makes it easy to do all of your shopping at once without having to drive around.

Love Costco! There are standard staples, like toilet paper and eggs, plus local specialties. Buying items in bulk is cost saving, especially when getting non perishable items or those that can be frozen. Especially good when feeding a large group

Very well stocked, busy store. Parking lot is adequate, but may need to walk a distance on busier days. Lots to choose from, aisles are wide, employees friendly and helpful. Self check out is nice option when you only have a few items.

My husband and I bought a refrigerator on January 19 and were helped by Chris and Richard. They wheeled the refrigerator out to our vehicle and loaded it for us. They were both very helpful and courteous and we commend them for all their help and care.

The Goleta Costco is typical of this big box warehouse. They have an outdoor food courtyard ($1.50 hotdogs) and tire center but no gas station. They sell a wide variety of goods and offer a number services The prices are good and seasonal merchandise is displayed prominently near the front entrance. They have a great selection of wines and liquor at very reasonable prices. There is an in-house bakery offering a large selection of breads, pies and pastries. If you find something you like get it because it may be gone when you check back. Of course they sell the famous Costco cooked whole chicken.

It is less busy during weekdays and before 5 pm, I recommend going at that time for a less crowded shopping experience. Try the cookie from the food court, it is amazing.

Students on a field trip needed to use the bathroom, and we had stopped to get pizza. The store seemed to refuse the students the right to use the bathroom in the store. If it was a big crowd it would make sense, but they were not even willing to work an agreement for the class. Would not revisit.

I do love Costco, but had to leave a review about the 4-lb. tub of Chicken Noodle soup. Overpriced, tasteless and full of thickener/cornstarch!! Sick with colds, it was very disappointing, and bland for us. Too thick, tasted flour-y as well. Get it together Costco, its a snap to make it delicious, please try!

Very bad management for the relocation of the handicap parking spots. We now have to cross the roadway to enter the warehouse whereas in previous location we did not. This was a major plus! Previous parking spots were next to the warehouse’s sidewalk and it seemed like there were more available. Finally yet importantly, the new handicap spots are scattered around, limiting availability. Please reconsider the old location coming from an Executive Member. Thanks.

Costco is... Costco. This particular review is of their bakery cake selection. Its a really good deal for a lot of cake, but the selections have been narrowed versus what theyve done in the past. White cake with white frosting or chocolate cake with chocolate frosting - those are your choices. The patterns for decoration are also pretty limited. (See picture from 9/7/21) (Update: on the order form, there is an option for a graduation design where you can pick school colors. The design has a mortar board and plenty of room for a customized message. This is what we needed for our recent celebration, and it actually worked out really well. I bumped up the review from three stars to four based on our experience.)On the upside, they have rapid turnaround times; theyre only asking for a day to get you have a giant cake ready for you with customized writing. And the cake is good quality, but not high-end bakery quality, but neither are the prices.

This is for the pharmacy manager. Shes extremely rude and never smiles. Every time. There was one time where I walked up to the pharmacy. The manager was standing there talking and then when she FINALLY looked at me, she pointed to the empty line and said I had to go stand there first or she wouldnt help me. There were NO customers and 3 employees at the registers. It was entirely a power trip. She is unhappy and its apparent. I was going to buy a membership to save on prescriptions but I will now be getting my prescriptions elsewhere.

I come to eat at Costco every other day with my housemate after shopping and the experience is usually the same. But today I saw an employee who was working harder than any worker we have seen here before. That is not to take away from the credit of other employees, but simply to emphasize how impressed we are by his work-ethic. Absolutely EVERY table was spotless, and the moment someone left a table he made sure the table was cleaned and polished for the next customer; if anything got on the floor, he quickly swept it up; if a condiment was getting low, he filled it fast and sparkled the area. He had a good attitude, strong work-ethic, and an apparent genuine concern for the wellbeing and experience of the customer - a rare combination in any employee today. I believe he deserves to be recognized. Thank you, Jason. We saw your qualities today.

Offered most, if not all, kinds of daily necessities. The Goleta location is a favorite in Santa Barbara for the local residents and UCSB students. Iconic meal with a soda and choice of meat in the loooooong hot dog is a super bargain. Or, top it with other menu items, OR, just go in and taste testing all kinds of food promotions......it can be so filling that one can skip a meal! Self check out in here!!!

Nice staff, short lines, six self check outs which go even faster but which you cant use if youre buying alcohol of course. Lots of organic products. Ample parking. The only thing missing is a gas station. The organic produce selection has recently been less wide, unfortunately.Update 2024: organic produce is hit and miss for quality. Sometimes the green beans are rotten, and strawberries are flavorless. Prices are no longer competitive for organic produce.

They let me keep paying for my family’s membership for years but won’t even let me use it? Then they took the membership card and said I either had to get my own or have the “owner” come with their license. Couldn’t find my name on the account, but that didn’t seem to be an issue when I paid them the $120 renewal fee!! The employees were rude and clearly didn’t want to help, just wanted me to pay even more and move on. Screw this place, never coming back.

Its a Costco, what more can I say?Its big, and full of stuff. To be honest its not bad at all. Its clean. Its big and airy. Theres plenty of samples, (some better than others) although it can be difficult to find staff to help. Overall, its great to have this store so close to Santa Barbara.Plus they have really good deals on clothing.

I was looking to purchase two 35 lbs bags of salmon kirkland brand dog food. The dog food area was moved and when I got to the new location everything was there except the salmon . Two employees who were restocking the area and told me it was probably sold out ...supply chain issues which I thought had gone out of style .Two other customers were asking about the salmon dog food too. I asked if there was a dog food expert and was told the manager in a red vest up front would know so I got the meet Tiana and she went back with me to check and learned there was an entire pallet sitting high up somewhere in the back of store. Tiana said sir I will deliver two bags and find you at the check out . I thought that was great and glad I did not go with the out of inventory / supply chain story . Tiana was great and I told her I write great reviews . I run a wholesale floral company with 22 employees since 1994 .

Costco still gets a five star rating. Their prices, of course, have gone up, but not as quickly or as high as other places. For example, Ghee (rendered butter), when I first bought it over three years ago, was $23.90. It stayed the same only till recently, when It was raised to $25 ish. I see similar increases on other things, but definitely not as steep as regular supermarkets.

Always love going to Costco. Different locations with different products. Easy Parking. Always nice employees. We went to the one in Goleta to order pizza for bday party. Turns out if you order at the kiosk the personal at the counter dont know when you ordered the pizza. So they had to remake the pizza. It took 20 minutes more.Ill say we ordered 5 pizza before going into Costco and to get back to the kiosk took us 28 minutes including the 9 minute wait in line. I know the personal are doing their Best.So come on corporate.You can fix this problem.

They need to do something about line management so it stops clogging the rightmost isle. Other than that its a great experience. Massive cheesecake for $15? Youd expect it to not be great, but it was one of the best cheesecakes Ive eaten. 8/10. Checkout has issues with line logistics but the staff does well by scanning the next person in line before the first person has left, so this improves things a lot.

Ive always loved Costco. I belong since the early 90s in Oregon. Although theyre a little limited in variety there is still definitely enough variety for most people.I like to buy in bulk when I can, as long as I have space for it. The only thing I never really like is when they start moving things around. I really dont like when they move things around and sometimes I have very specific things I need to get and I dont have much time to do it.Their return policy is still among the best. Sometimes you have to be a little careful with their electronics because it may not be the current model.I also get the impression that they treat their employees well as I see a lot of the same faces year after year.

Its very frustrating, however, to look for the white vinegar 1- gallon jugs, and theyre completely out of stock (not just relocated in store)! The store is clean and orderly. It was busier on a Sunday but no line to get in. All the employees are extremely helpful even if they are busy. A rotisserie chicken was $4.99. A Minnie Mouse coat reversible with soft pink fur for $19.99. A Minnie sweatshirt and t-shirt for $14.99. I got womens Puma tennis shoes with memory foam $24.99. Skechers on sale too. A lot of excellent deals. I am so happy with my purchase.

Its Costco, so if youve ever been to one you know what to expect. That said, its a little nicer than others Ive been to. Also, as of 2/27/22, no masks were required. About half the patrons were still wearing them and the other half werent. It didnt feel unsafe, but if you are immunocompromised or that sort of thing is important to you in general, that is what I saw when I was there.

Classic big Costco. Located in the Camino Real marketplace it has a huge parking lot, yet still busy. Outdoor food court with plenty of seating. Inside has all that Costco is known for. Pharmacy, electronics, furniture,eye exams,....all of it. Service is very good with efficient checkout. They added some self checkout which makes everything go a little faster when busy.Theyve reduced the amount of tables in the food court.Food court now has self order kiosk. You order, pay then get in line for pick up.

Amazing customer service/returns department! Fast, efficient, and pleasant. Family friendly.The food choices are great for vegetarian and meat eaters. I like that they cater to the needs of the community they are in. When living in Brooklyn they had two large sections for kosher and halal foods.I do wish they would add gas station and a car wash as Ive seen at others.

We always had a pleasant experience until this week. My mom speaks English fluently and just couldn’t hear them while on the register. There is plenty of parking, the shopping carts are cleaned and they have cart wipes at the entrance. The place is not messy it is clean, and there is plenty of room to walk. The food court was remodel and it has plenty sitting. Customer service is a hit and miss.

A full sized Costco in little Goleta, CA. I wish they had a gas station, but otherwise it is well stocked and has a pharmacy, optometrist, hearing services, bakery, etc. The staff are very helpful. Its over an hour to the next closest location so we are grateful to have one!

I love, live Costco in Goleta. They always seem to have what I need and what I want. Thats instant gratification for those of you that need that! They have great value and great prices. I know a lot of people who complain about too much bulk buying, but for schools, churches, events, etc., Costco always comes through. One can also buy small bulk, for people with not a lot of storage, this is key. One can also buy books. And with only one other bookstore in town, this is a joy because these books are so much cheaper to purchase. If this Costco doesnt have what you need, the product can mostly be ordered. One last thing, they have the least expensive water bottles on sale. Just 50 cents for a bottle that will cost as much as $1.28 (or so) anywhere else. Its a bargain in a City that needs it.

The staff at their cell phone kiosk are great - especially the young lady who works there. My husband, mother-in-law and I bought our smartphones from the Costco cellphone kiosk because we got such a great deal and Costco lends its name to the sale, so what could be better than that?!They have a lot of organic foods and great sales on a regular basis. Membership to use the food court now at this location? Made me walk back to my car charging a bit away to grab membership so I could grab a hotdog after waiting in a massive line. I was in the middle of conversation with the worker when she yelled next & completely disregarded & degraded me like I was an insect because I didnt have my membership on me.I will not be renewing my membership and am an active agent against Costco, and will be boycotting them as long as this policy is in place. Food court has gone down hill, and they used people suffering & dying from Covid as an opportunist excuse to eliminate most of the menu to make more $. I have a love/hate relationship with Costco. Many items are great and I do shop here almost once a week for only 2 people. But I hate the food sample tables jamming up traffic, the direct tv and solar people bugging me. I did get a water filtration installed thru them and I regret it. So be mindful on what you buy and when you go. Meat is always overpriced, some items are sold in too large of packs, but if you are smart it is well worth it.

This was my first experience in a Costco. Was neat to look around at a different store, but as my Grandparents were checking out, the cashier said something to another associate and he walked over. It was very embarrassing. He asked for their cards and made them feel as if they did something wrong. We found out he wanted them to upgrade their cards. It made us all very uncomfortable, he was not very willing to give them their cards back and he only did so after I said something to him politely that they don’t need it. This Costco is a great place to shop, however it is kind of annoying that they make you use only the card members credit or debit card because there are times when it would be beneficial to use someones card who is with you, however they dont allow that, whereas other Costcos I have been to do allow for that. If you want free samples then make sure to go around 11-1:30 or so because that is the time I usually see them, after that youre out of luck, and if you are wanting steak or anything in bulk for cheap then this is the place to go and also the phone services are really good and the reps know what they are talking about with good advice and great benefits for Costco members!

I left my extremely full cart with my personal grocery bags in the front of the cart because there were so many people - it was faster to move solo. We’ve spent a few hundred dollars at this Costco this particular summer buying those water balloons and my daughter really wanted them again today for her birthday. My daughter and I arrived at Costco today and we walked up and down the aisles in search of these balloons and after several minutes I decided to ask an employee to point us in the right direction. At this point we had made our way to the middle of Costco in the clothing section. There were three female employees standing around telling a story in Spanish and laughing. My daughter and I waited a few seconds for them to finish their story as I did not want to interrupt and even though the employees noticed us standing and waiting to ask a question, none of them stopped their conversation and kept laughing. I looked around and did not immediately see any other employees to ask my quick question so finally I politely interrupted and excused myself and asked them if they could point me to the waterballons after a quick description. In midst of my question one of the ladies (who appeared to be very irritated that I interrupted their story) interrupted me and said “we are sold out” and turned her back to me and continued to tell her story in Spanish to the other two female employees. I looked at my daughter and the disappoint in her face broke me. I thanked the ladies (who didn’t acknowledge me again and continued to tell their story and laugh) and my daughter and I walked away. At this point, I picked up my daughter and told her that I’m really sorry that the waterballons are all sold out and I offered to take my daughter around the store to pick out a different present to cheer her up. As we walked towards the back of the store, I immediately locked eyes on a massive pallet of the same exact water balloons right on one of the main aisles. I was blown away and my daughter started to cheer as we placed four big boxes of waterballons in the cart. My daughter was so happy on her birthday that we were able to find the exact waterballons that she wanted! We walked around the store for another twenty/thirty minutes and ended up filling the cart with a bunch of other items. As I made my way back up to the front of the store to pay for our balloons and probably $300 more dollars worth of items, I observed the same three female employees still in the same place telling stories and laughing. I immediately felt angry and I made my way towards them and as I approached them, I picked up the four boxes of waterballons from my cart and held them in my arms and I informed the ladies that I had found an entire pallet of waterballons that they had told me was sold out, just because they were too lazy and careless to assist a customer. I also put them on notice that their behavior was classless and that they were a poor representation of what Costco works so extremely hard to uphold in their employees. I then asked the lady who lied to me about the balloons being sold out to look at my daughter.. and finished by telling her that because of her extremely poor customer service and lack of care for her customers, that my daughter was heart broken on her birthday and that next time with the next customer, that she should at least pretend to care when someone needs assistance and my daughter and I walked away.I have the name of this employee and her co workers.

When I got to the checkout counter I almost here fully let the clerk know I needed help to get back to my car. It is no surprise the tire center was voted for the best service with the best selection of quality tires by the Santa Barbara Independent poll of readers. Just a note as to why I too feel this way. I purchased four new tires and what seemed to be tire noise after the first rotation was actually bad wheel bearings on my 2005 Ford explorer with 100K miles. David the manager and another tire professional, on my first call thought the noise was not the tires but the wheel bearing or alignment.I was not convinced and decided to exchange the tires after having the front end checked for alignment which was spot on, the wheel bearings went unnoticed!!Swapping out the tires did not help and why should it since their first reason for the noise was right! I skipped going back to the alignment center and checked with my reliable repair shop, shame on me for not checking with them first, the wheel bearings were definitely the problem.Goleta Costco tire center know their business!

I have been phoning around CVS, Rite Aide, etc to try and find somewhere that will a) do a passport photo and b) do one for the UK passport size. Firstly Costco answered the phone straight away and with a real live person who was friendly and helpful. A Hispanic gentleman named Mario treated me very poorly and disrespectful, he was a cashier. Otherwise this Costco is great but this cashier made me never want to visit this store again. Very disrespectful and rude. He shouldnt be working out front with people if this is how he interacts with customers.

As with all Costcos this can get very crowded. Given this is the only wholesale store in the area this one gets especially crowded. Produce varies in quality, found mold one time on alot of the grapes

This is typical of any costco. You are on your own no customer service. You can never find anyone on floor to assist. This costco sold me a printer in incorrect box when I tried to return it because it did not work they lashed out at me accusing me of trying to pull something on them.🙄 so expect no service and check your items to make sure they are in right box I am out over 100.00 because I didnt even think to check.

Convenient location. Has a lot of stuff. I wish it had # on parking area, I always forget where I parked, and have to stroll around to find my vehicle. Not easy with kids and food loaded.

The costco here is a great stop if you live in IV or on your way past. The outside food court has decently priced pizza and hotdogs, and a firly fast turn around time for your order to food. The store inside is well organized and quite a few samples everywhere, and a lot of staff members stocking and helping out.

Its not fear, I try to go into the store around 9:30 the lady in the front door didnt let me in saying that the hours for Senors which I forgot, I return to my car when I see a young man leaving from the store with their shopping cart which seems disrespectful to me, they let in who they want, who doesnt seems fair,That made me angry they are not even.

The tire shop at Goleta Costco is very customer service oriented. David and Dillan both went out of there way to be helpful with tire education when I came in for a rotation. Best prices around also.

Just had WAY above and beyond service in the photo center. Had lost an antique photo, repaired version and dvd with image on it to accidental recycling of envelope they were in. I went in with 4x6 print of restored image to see if there wasany chance they could help. The Costco worker looked in the system, found the image (from 17 days ago) and was able to give me prints and dvd of repaired image. I lost original, but am so happy to have repaired image!

Its on the smaller side as far as Costcos go. The selection isnt as big as others, but still the best deal in town. If you have the room for the bulk its worth getting a membership. Unfortunately this one doesnt have a gas station.
