The lady at the front was extremely rude. She yelled at my family and I for absolutely no reason as we were walking in. We didn’t get her name but it seems like other customers have had similar experiences at this location based on previous google reviews.She was working the front on 5/4/24 at around 2:15pm.

Most of the negative reviews about this place are accurate. Overall I would not recommend this place and will not be renewing my membership at the very first opportunity. Be warned... do not get a membership! They will find some excuse and force you to renew one way or another.

“I recently visited the Costco food court and unfortunately, I had a rather unpleasant experience. The cleanliness of the establishment was subpar, with dirty floors and an overall lack of tidiness. Additionally, the absence of air conditioning made the environment uncomfortably hot, and a lengthy queue added to the frustration. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and makes the necessary improvements to create a more enjoyable and hygienic dining environment for customers.”

IYKYK Costco has excellent prices on tires. Incredible warranties too (75K miles)If you get your tires from Costco- they do tire repairs for FREE… not much you get these days for “free”— you can even schedule it online for repair or buying new tires… excellent job!!

Unfortunately found a hard piece of plastic or some foreign object in my pizza. Went this morning to buy a whole pepperoni pizza, once I got home I served myself 2 slices and half way through a slice I found myself chewing on something hard. At first I thought it was a chunky pepper flake but once I bit down on it again I proceeded to remove it from my mouth and to my surprise I find this….will proceed with caution if I decide to eat the remaining slices. Just wanted to spread awareness to careful and chew your food properly in case you discover a hidden gem like I did.

Another convenient Costco, especially location by the airport and along the way to and from San Francisco. Ample parking, gas station appears to be slightly separated by a small street. Food court does not seem to require membership access for now unlike other Costco stores during my visit.

South San Francisco Costco has standard items but also offers seasonal items. This location has a gas station and seems to always be congested. This location is minutes from the SF airport. This location is my favorite Costco. The food court no longer accepts cash so you will have to use your card.

This Costco wholesale warehouse is very popular. It is really hard to find a parking spot on Saturday evening. Here is some interesting statistics. in 2020, Costco had 105.5 million members. It is the second biggest retailer in the world. And, a typical Costco store sells only 4,000 different products, Walmart sells 140,000. What i like to buy in Costco is anything that is cheap, healthy, and will not get spoiled because of the expiration date. Some portions are away too big for individuals, not enough time to eat. What is good to buy in Costco? Here is the list. It is water, olive oil, drugs(generic or prescription), prescription glasses, nuts, organic almond butter, egg whites, eggs, rotisserie chicken, tires and gas. What is not good to buy, i believe, is over the counter medications, books, flowers, office supplies, and a large quantity of produce. Finally, I was very disappointed to see a large number of people staying in line to return a merchandise. There were too many of them. It seems this store has one of the most lenient return policies of any major chain store. I do not support stores returning policy. I think, Costco should tighten loopholes to prevent return fraud and abuse by Returnaholics. Overall, my experience in the store was positive.

Roomy, great selection of many kinds of food. it is rarely super busy or packed, so its a pretty easy in and out. great Ada accessible parking in front. possibly slightly understaffed or maybe it was just today but Im not mad since it was sooo mellow. the pharmacy employees are extremely sweet. it might be out of the way but ultimately a Time Saver for me. And this is the only Costco in the Bay Area that is carrying the 48 pack of ramen!!

This is a location that dont check your Costco card, if you just want to go into the food court. Before the pandemic, they had BBQ sandwiches, chicken caesar salads and polish sausages. Those are no longer available, along with the free chopped onions to go with the hot dog. I look forward to getting a hot dog every time after shopping here. Good times.

Of course they have a lot of things to choose from from food to clothing and other products. However if youre not in there to buy bulk then Im not sure its worth it I have compared prices on some things and you can get them cheaper elsewhere. The parking lot is a disaster there are always people fighting for spots literally.

Came to redeem my Citibank rewards and told it was redeemed which I DID NOT DO. Then it took 1 hour 12 mins to get a membership card because the staff kept messing up — first staff didn’t input the correct number then my name was spelled wrong twice. Still no idea why that took 1.25 hours. Waste of time. Never coming back and may cancel th membership. Only people I like are the sample people: they are very kind (but they aren’t Costco workers), as well as Erick & Austin who were restocking items and Costco employees. Come by here if you love to waste your time. The supervisor who was unhelpful was Jesse. All the other employees were trying to be helpful even if some made mistakes or took forever. He also asked me to sign up for recurring meme reship payment and offered the tumbler as a free gift and never gave it to me. Terrible experience & I hope no one goes through this as well. Be prepared to wait in line forever for refunds and memberships. Even if there is only 1 other person in line it took 30 mins. Super inefficient. I’m amazed at how inefficient it is. I waited 35 mins in refunds and then another 15 mins to be told that I can’t refund my items when Costco has a great refund policy & is the only reason why I shop here. Ridiculous. After I find a Costco that lets me refund my items I don’t want I will cancel my membership and never return. Btw Trader Joe’s items are the same price or cheaper than Costco. On top of the rude service here I’ll never be back & advise you to do the same

Ive been a Costco member for more than 10 years but never tried the tire service as they always look busy. A friend of ours recommended giving it a try as their warranty coverage is great and price is right.Overall, the tire center tech is knowledgable and professional during my face-to-face time with them. But there were two things that really rubbed me the wrong way (especially the last one):1) Tires were purchased and was told that I would get a call within a week once they know when the tires would arrive to the location. Then an appointment can be made for installation. 1.5 week later go by, my wife (alternate contact #) got a call from Costco Tire Center and shared that they have not been able to get in touch with me over last 1 week. It turns out, they fat fingered my cell # though my phone number is current in my costco membership contact info. Okay this is NOT BAD - I get it~ human error! Fast forward, during the tire install the tire center tech told me that he would call me once the car is ready (roughly in 1 to 2 hours); I had to call them 5 hrs later to find out the car has been ready since the 1.5 hour mark.2) The car was dropped off clean and the car came back with stains all over the column on the front left inside of the car. This is a basic etiquette, Costco! Slap on a clean set of gloves/coverall before entering the car.

Costco is Costco. I expect crowds, and long lines. Though I am always pleased when it goes quickly and smoothly. Costco has great employees, good systems and the lines go quickly. If you know their code system (price has an * or prices have a 7 ie: $29.79 or $29.77), you are getting an deal. They always have new product and offer samples too.

We just took our sons vehicle to the tire department for a 2:15 appointment for a flat tire. The service was beyond great very nice staff and very professional. They hand torque the lug nuts and stowed the spare properly.

The one thing that I do like about this Costco is that its far less busy than the other Costco on El Camino. Typically you can get in and out fast when the freeway on-ramp isnt closed. But here in the next few months it should be back up and open. Costco gas is great the lowest price around given that we are so close to the airport where other stations are price gouging. This store sometimes doesnt carry everything and it seems that their normal Supply can be an Overstock at some time. One of the craziest things is let the parking lot can be completely full but in the store seems empty.

I went grocery store shopping with my mother this morning, and the first person that assisted me where to find Charmin tp was very helpful showing me where its located away from all the other similar items. He told another customer where dish soap was located as we were walking towards the aisle where our product was located.Upon checking out, my elderly mother was distracted and used the wrong credit card to ring up all our purchases. She apologized to the cashier for her accidental mistake, and asked that the purchases be made using the right payment. The man proceeded to explain that this would require a return process and seemed like he didnt want to complete the transaction all over again. My mother then approached Johnny L. for help, the Front End Assistant Store Manager.Johnny L was patient, understanding, professional -- Everything that management is supposed to be, and a role model to all his Costco Team he works with in South City. While he was helping us out, his register even ran out of receipt paper, and he had to replace the paper roll that ran out. Then as we were finishing up our transaction correcting everything, my mom asked Johnny if he could please staple the two receipts together. He didnt have any problem with going an extra step for my elderly mother. And then the stapler was out of staples, and he quickly, swiftly grabbed the stapler (Johnny is very competent at what he does!) from the next register over and stapled the receipts together.Its not a pleasant experience anywhere, when it seems/feels like someone doesnt want to help you/me/anyone. Its especially difficult as a customer, when asking for assistance feels like a burden or that one is annoying whoever is working at any establishment. Its one thing if business is hectic and super busy, its another issue if there is no one else waiting in line.Johnny L redeems any/all negative experiences we may have had at this particular Costco location. If we could give 10 STARS for his stellar customer service, we would! Great job overall though for the majority of the Costco Team at South Airport Blvd; yall rock!

Overall, this is a good store, but the biggest problem is that the Café is understaffed. Many times during lunch hour I have wanted to get something, but the line to get served is very long, so Ive not waited. Will not be coming here for tire services again. I scheduled an appointment over a week in advance and when I arrived on time they said they wouldn’t have time to change my tire. There was no notification ahead of time that they would need to cancel my appointment. I re scheduled my appointment for 2 days later and arrived on time. After waiting 20 minutes they were finally able to locate the tire I ordered. They forgot to ask for my keys and I had to return to the center, and after all that it was 1.5 hours ETA. The manager was very rude and unhelpful. Go somewhere else that will respect your time.

Very good; able to get everything I needed except I was unaware the pharmacy was closed on Sunday. Had been thinking about a laptop that was advertised and it was discounted $50 more than I expected; so easy decision since I had owned similar before. Returned next day in morning for my RX and they were helpful and quick, and courteous. Parking plentiful. Not too crowded. They do change things around frequently so sometimes hard to find things.

Stopped by to have a snack before picking up family at SFO. I got there around 5 pm on a Sunday. Four of the six food ordering computers were out of printing paper. They were short staffed at the food court counter. There was only one-person handling everything. As each person came to the counter with their order in hand the employee read and then proceeded to put the order together. I had visited the business center Costco up the street on Thursday 3 days before to find that they had closed their small outside food court. Hopefully this is an isolated problem here and not a every Sunday late afternoon ongoing issue.

This branch will not repay you for damage.Three months ago, my car was hit by a runaway Dolly cart while parked in this Costco parking lot (the spot where people return dolly carts was uphill from my parked car). It shattered glass and cost me about $5000 to repair. Costco management was initially helpful at the time. They captured video footage, helped me file an incident report, and said that their insurance would get back to me.Three months later, after making dozens of phone calls to this branch’s management, I still have no idea if or when they will cover the damage. Every time I call them I get roughly the same answers: “sorry, X knows more about this but is not in the office today, please call back tomorrow”. Or, “let me send them an email and call you back” (I have never been called back even once).At this point, I have essentially been giving Costco a $5000 interest free loan for the last three months. I really hope they will pay me back. For now, I am frustrated by their lack of urgency.

This is a good Costco. Its out of the way location and the fact that there is another Costco nearby makes shopping at this one a breeze. Unlike the one on El Camino or the one in SOMA this Costco has short lines at the register and, more importantly, there are tons of free samples available

My first time in Costco. This place is pure wholesale warehouse, all sizes are XXL even maybe XXXL. Was impressed how spacious it is, even though parking was packed inside was plenty of room for the shoppers. Restrooms was clean as the whole store. Bistro Cafe was a stellar and hot dogs has unbeatable price.Behind Costco located very nice and very long promenade, if you ate to many hot dogs its always a good idea to take a walk before returning to get more... hot dogs.

I think this is the cleanest and newest looking Costco on the peninsula. They must have renovated recently or something because it is so well designed. The food court is especially nice, with clean and well-spaced tables in a fully covered sunroom-type area with enough distance between the check stands and the food as well so nothing feels cramped.

This Costco is different from all other Costcos I have visited so far. It has its food court separately outside with a dedicated room for it. Costco Gas was $4.89/gal for unleaded compared to others gas stations @ high $5-$6/gal. Finding parking @the parking lot is pretty bad sometimes. My kids went in circles & waited almost 10mins to find a parking spot but I found one not far from the entrance under 5mins. We liked coming to SSF location from SF sometimes because they dont charge sugar tax & their food court has the regular sodas as opposed to the diet only options @SF location. The food court is located outside of Costco (right of the entry/exit) & it has plenty of table/seats & kind of like a big cafeteria.

Really hard to find parking, and the driveways are complicated. They should of re-design it, make it one way and no crossing in the middle (there is a “road” that cuts off the parking “rolls” painted red maybe for fire emergency? My favorite Costco of all the Costcos. I go here all the time. Parking is a bit difficult but once you find parking its not hard to navigate. I can get lots of things here. I think if you are more straightforward Costco business center is the way to go. But if you enjoy taking your time this site or the el Camino real site is the way to go. I prefer this one over the el Camino one not sure why exactly Im just more comfortable at this site.Pros:-checking out is a breeze. They have it down to a science youre not waiting in line longer than before. I usually wait 5 minutes or less and Im out the door.-staff is helpful. If you grab an item that might have been a 2 pack or a special a runner will be available to assist. (Some local grocery stores do not have this so its amazing)-variety of items available from outdoors to indoors. You can get plants here, surfboards, outdoor camping supplies, etc. Even their alcohol selection is on point.Cons:-parking. Some people can be aggressive so be on the lookout for that. Whatever parking is available take it.-super crowded. At certain times Costco will be packed. And if youre not comfortable with shopping with a ton of people Costco is not your place.-sometimes staff can be cold but understandable being that theyre dealing with more people than your average grocery store.-some items are either seasonal or who knows what. There are things you can buy at Costco and then on your next trip it wont be available. So just know that if you like something that was not at Costco before, buy EXTRA. They used to have these bomb guava shortbread cookies. I loved them and couldnt find it on my next trip.All in all. Im a through and through coscto member and I utilize my expensive membership to the fullest. If youre not going to really need items in bulk do not go to Costco and complain about membership prices.

I love this Costco! Ive been coming here since I was a kid and now that I am an adult come here at least once week to restock on necessities.As silly as it may seem, every time we come we walkthrough all the isles just to see whats new and to catch new deals. There are lots of parking spaces.To enter you will need to have a Costco membership card or someone with you who does. A lot of on sale items are displayed as soon as you enter.Costco also has an area where they sell electronics, jewelry, and cellphone phones and plans.Be sure to check on their deals through their website too if you dont want to walk down each isle. Thatll save you time and can help you pinpoint what you want.Things I come to Costco specially would be: rugs, batteries, windshield wiper, rotisserie chicken, frozen chicken drumsticks, chicken broth, water, toilet paper, tissue paper, eggs, and gum.Their Asian snacks over the year as improved a lot so Im really glad this Costco in particular is so diverse.Overall its an amazing Costco with hard workers. For sure Ill be back here next week.

YOU DONT NEED MEMBERSHIP to enjoy their food court at this location! Be prepared to enjoy hot, fresh $10 x-large pizza, mile high frozen yogurt for $1.50, $1.50 huge hot dogs with fountain drink and much more!Parking here is a bit difficult, though.

Ordered my food around 1240pm. Got to the front and the cashier said I had to wait another 15 min for it. Around 100pm I didnt receive a call for my food when it was ready, so I ask the cashier about and this was a different cashier this time and was rude towards me. So I waited yet another 10 minutes until finally I got my food. The gentleman that gave me my food slammed it on the counter and I mentioned to him that I not get the rest of my order yet so he went and grabbed it and slammed it on top of my other food. As he walked away he grumbled something under his breath. The food court customer service was horrible here. I wouldnt even give the 1 star or even a half a star. If want costco food court please i encourage you to find another costco other than this one.Thank you!

I cant recommend this place anymore...Workers are hostile, people standing around. Two kinds of workers at Costco...the ones who are hustling (shopping cart guys, returns) and the lazy bums who stamp your receipt and give bad service and cant speak English.How easy is this job...these people are so hostile. Never mind its like Beijing when you get there, no parking...100 million Chinese all over the place. Try Grocery Outlet or get your stuff delivered.

It’s not like other Costco. This is for restaurants. But all members can come.They sell extremely big bulky package of meet, all kinds of meat.

Like to give a complement to the service I received from the optical department from a young lady name“Rain” What a very caring person this lady is, obviously she loves her job and loves helping others. Very rare to run across people like this and Costco is very fortunate to have an employee like this

The food department is worse than other Costco. I love to order a pizza and pick up after shopping. At this Costco, the pizza takes super long, 45-60 minutes after I place the order. I highly doubt they forgot my order, and this happened at least twice.

Not the best Costco, but this is the Costco that I am most familiar with and my favorite. It has everything you would typically find at Costcos, and always has something new for you to discover. Has a gas station, parking is not a problem as they have a lot across the street next to the gas station.

I really like their prepackaged salad bowls. Theres four bowls in a package. It even includes a fork for each bowl. Its affordable and tastes good. The food court is money saver. I found the churro hard and didnt like it.
