Alex is extremely knowledgeable, attentive, listened to my needs, and clear in explaining the process. Once the hearing aids came, he was patient until I fully understood everything to make this transition a comfortable and exciting experience. Both Alex and Nia are kind, wonderful people. If there was a way for me to give a 10 star review I would. From the start of the process with Mia in reception to Victor the Audiologist my experience has been nothing but positive. Victor was extremely supportive and very helpful and most importantly considerate of my needs. Mia’s follow up was equally professional. I left knowing that I was in good hands with follow up appointments and answers to all my questions and assurances that if I needed them they were only a phone call away. Hearing aids are a major purchase and nothing is more important than knowing that the professionals have your back. Thank you Mia and Victor truly you made my choice of Connect Hearing the only choice.

My husband visited 8/9/23 and he was greeted promptly by the receptionist. My Sanchez then introduced himself and conducted a very thorough and professional hearing examination. My husband was most impressed by the efficiency of Connect Hearing...none of the Hurry Up & Wait common in large chain facilities. He was very pleased with the services.

From out of town, and forgot my hearing aid charger. They were so quick and active about helping me get a new charger at a good price, and so kindly accommodating me when California traffic caught me by surprise and I arrived late.

Mr. Sanchez is so patient and kind to my 90yr mother who has dementia. She can joke around with him, he laughs with her and understands her which is greatly appreciated! The front desk gal, cant think of her name now, but is just as patient, sweet and kind as Mr. Sanchez. It really is a pleasure taking Mom to her appointments and will recommend Connect Hearing in San Marcos to anyone.

Like all the other reviews, I too highly recommend Connect Hearing in San Marcos for the same reasons: The friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff. But I want to add more about Alex and Nia.Alex:I have bought several hearing aids at Connect Hearing, 1st in RB and now in San Marcos. I have always been impressed by their specialist’s knowledge and ability to program the hearing aids they sell. They have all been quite good at making changes on the computer and explaining the screens to us.But Alex demonstrated to me a mechanical knowledge I had not seen before - what goes on inside the hearing aid: Last year I bought new in-the-ear hearing aids to replace my old ones. When they arrived, the right one was too big to fit well. It was immediately returned, and the replacement was still too big. I met with Alex about this, and he compared my old hearing aids (being replaced) to the new ones, factoring in the additional space needed in my new ones to support its new features. Then, I watched him use that knowledge to call and discuss the problem with the hearing aid company’s production manager. Together they agreed on an approach to rebuild it in a way that allowed for a better fit for me. The rebuilt hearing aid fit me perfectly with the clarity I was expecting. I was very impressed at Alex’s technical/mechanical knowledge used in that discussion.Nia:Nia does so much more than just checking us in. She goes all out to accommodate our sometimes(?) detailed or short notice appointment requests. I once forgot one request at a Friday appointment. I called back on Monday asking for a brief session with Alex soon. She squeezed me in the next day. She can handle these calls and immediately make arriving customers feel welcomed and confident. Confidence begins with the front office.

I just wish there was more stars than just five. From my first pare of hearing aids years ago, to present, Connect Hearing San Marcos has been my go to. Nia is a sweetheart who makes you feel like family and loves my critter stories, and Alex, well, hes my man. An expert at his trade. A kind and understanding person who listens to your concerns about your hearing problem, then solves it. And it wont cost you your firstborn. They, in my book anyway, went well beyond service to rectify problems I had with my ears staying in place, including remoulding and remaking them a few times at no extra cost. I most highly recommend these two. Always free hearing tests, with expert advice on a solution. No sales pitch, no pressure, just solutions. Love you two! Thanks for being you. 1st time hearing aid guy at only 48. Had a lot of questions and concerns and Katie was a ROCKSTAR helping me figure these out and getting comfortable with them. Been back a couple of times and always so helpful. Not that I want these but working with Katie has been such a pleasant experience, I actually don’t mind wearing them. Nia at the front desk is GREAT as well.

Definitely a bright spot in a dreary year! Brought my Mom in after she had a hearing test showing significant enough hearing loss/damage to require hearing aids. Katie and her staff were amazing! We couldnt have asked for a better more patient teacher. She took her time and made sure my Mom (and I) understood the process, the technology and got all of our questions answered. We never felt rushed or pressured and couldnt be more pleased with the outcome. Thank you Katie and the wonderful people there at Connect Hearing. You really have changed our lives for the better! The quality of service my mother received from Francesa and Nia was absolutely exceptional! It’s obvious that Francesca takes pride in her work and she is naturally caring and attentive. My first impression of Connect Hearing in San Marcos was a phone call to set up an appointment to see/try the Phonak Paradise hearing aids. I spoke with Nia, who was very personable and accommodating. I really appreciated her help with my unusual circumstances.I went in today, and again found Nia to be kind and helpful, and the office clean.Katie then brought me to her office and introduced me to the Phonak Paradise hearing aids. She studied my recent hearing test, asked me questions about my hearing loss, patiently answered my questions, and explained what the hearing aids could do to help me in my daily hearing. i tried them out, and I was impressed. I’ve worn hearing aids for 15 years now having had 4 sets prior to this visit. I thought I knew all about hearing aids, but Katie opened my eyes to new features and sound quality that I had no idea existed!Overall, my experience at Connect Hearing in San Marcos was very pleasant (fun even) and educational! I also lucked into great pricing as compared to what I’d seen online.

My dad is 92 years old with moderate dementia and severe to profound hearing loss in both ears, and very poor word recognition on the left ear, even with amplification. When his right Costco Hearing aid (4 years old) quit working, it was a nightmare trying to communicate with him, and Costco said it would take 3 weeks to have it repaired. What to do? Dad has an older pair of Phonak Boleros with custom earmolds, so I went to see Katie at Connect Hearing in San Marcos with the idea of getting the old hearing aids checked and cleaned, and to find out what size battery they needed. I was fully expecting to pay a service charge.Katie took the hearing aids in the back, and came back to say the left one wasnt working. I thought that was fine, Dad could use his left Costco aid and his right Phonak Bolero. Not really ideal, but better than nothing in the right ear at all. But Katie suggested doing a hearing test and fitting Dad with a pair of demo aids that he could wear until the Costco aid was ready. And that is what we did. At no charge.Having Dad be able to hear again was amazing. Not being able to hear really had made his dementia seem much worse than it actually is. A week later I noticed his left Costco aid had a damaged battery door, so I sent that one out for repairs, too, postponing the appointment to pick them both up by a week. In the end, we had the demo Phonak aids for a month or so.Katies front office person (I cant remember her name!) was wonderful, as was Katie herself. Both were kind, patient, accommodating, and very sweet with my dad and with me. If the Costco repairs had not been satisfactory, we probably would have opted to get new hearing aids here.

On Monday, April 23, 2018, I received my new hearing aids. Sal Colarusso is my audiologist at Connect Hearing in San Marcos, CA.Sal gave me my annual hearing test and we determined that I needed toupgrade my present hearing aids. I am very pleased with them and findthem to be much clearer with less background noise and, I find, my hearing much improved. I would most definitely recommend Sal and Connect Hearing to anyone. I have, in fact, told people and I do hope that they take advantage of it.Sal is a professional and very friendly. This is a great asset to have and anyone who is looking to get hearing aids for the first time would feel very much at ease.I wish to add a review about my visit yesterday. Since this is the only way I can get in to write it here goes.Yesterday was December 27th and Heena very kindly managed to get me in as one of my hearing aids had stopped working. Francesca, who usually works in San Marcos was on holiday but another delightful lady filled in for her. Thank you Heena, you are most professional and always polite and ready to oblige in any way you can. Thank you also to the lovely lady who so kindly fixed my hearing aid in a very short time. My dad has had hearing loss for 30+ Years and due to the pandemic he has not been able to read lips because of masks. When he came to the San Marcos location Katie and Mia changed his life. He can now hear music, talk on his phone through Bluetooth, have better conversations because he can hear all words, and his overall lifestyle has improved.
