Dr. Kokubun is EXCELLENT! He has been treating me for a broken ankle and I have been impressed by his knowledge and friendly bedside manner! Unlike a lot of doctors, he takes his time with clients and patiently explains and answers any questions and concerns. His assistant, Linthy, is also friendly and helpful with any necessary paperwork! Thank you Dr.K for your expertise and kind care!

Physicians are competent and usually able to get patients in for office visit quickly. Be careful with using their imaging dept. Congress is now part of Cedars and Cedars overcharges for imaging such as MRIs (e.g. more than 2X the national average for a knee MRI.) I’d recommend taking any imaging orders from your orthopedic doc elsewhere (e.g. Huntington imaging). Less likely to get ripped off by Cedars.

I am currently under care with PA Johanna De Silva in Dr. Steven Lin’s Hand & Microsurgery office. Both are exceptional in several ways, but I especially want to commend PA Johanna for her skill & patience, giving me thorough explanations about treatment for my 2 Trigger Fingers! Also, when Johanna gave me 2 Cortisone shots several months ago, I felt zero pain & thanked her, stating that was the first time over several yrs. of treatments with other Orthopedic doctors that I didn’t even know she had finished injecting both fingers!! I am hesitant to have surgery but Johanna’s genuine concern, positive support for my fears & wishes & her agreement to let me try physical therapy first, are remarkable! In fact everyone at Congress of Orthopedic Associates, from the desk staff, to the Assistant to Lin’s office, to both doctor & PA are some of the best Care-givers in my Medical History! The good:Was able to get a quick appointment for my fiance after he injured his knee.Large, easy to find, well maintained offices with good support staffThe bad:AVOID DR ODOWL AT ALL COSTS - this guy is a Grade A Prick. flat out said I specialize in full knee replacements. You should work with another doctor. Maybe sports medicine for something this minor. He then forgot to put in a prescription until we called to follow up. HORRIBLE Bedside manner. Physically was outside the room calling back to us (without even looking at us) saying that the injury was below his specialty.

Avoid this doctors office at all costs. They have zero respect for patients and their time. I had an appointment scheduled for 3 pm today and at nearly 4 pm, I had still not been called in or seen. No updates, no apologies, no explanation. When I inquired at 3:32 pm how much longer the wait would be, I was told youre next - yet they continued calling in other patients ahead of me.When I went to cancel my appointment at nearly 4 pm and ask for my paperwork to be returned so I could take my records to a competent doctor, I was informed my records had already been shredded and just told its canceled.Over 50 minutes after my scheduled appointment time, 35+ minutes after being told I was next, and not even an apology for completely wasting my afternoon and disrespecting me. They made no effort to actually inform me of the delay or check if I even still wanted to keep the appointment after providing false information about the wait time. I might expect this treatment at some walk-in clinic but not from an office where I had an actual scheduled appointment time.Their indifference to patient time, lack of basic courtesy and communication, providing false wait time estimates, shredding of my records without consent all point to an office that values assembly-line volume over quality care and respect. I urge anyone seeking a reliable doctor who treats patients professionally and values their time to avoid this office at all costs. They have lost my records and my trust, both of which are unrecoverable. I will be reporting the issue with shredding my records without permission and unprofessional conduct to the appropriate medical board

Before I praise, with the highest regards, Dr Lee and Congress Orthopedic Associates for my new life free of lower back pain and sciatica, let me tell my story. Ive been suffering from lower back pain / sciatica for over a decade. Two years ago, I had surgery at a teaching hospital to address the problem, which resulted in no change, except increased pain.Fortunately, I was referred to Dr Lee and bar none the best referral I’ve ever had. Dr Lee went over in detail the MRI of my spine and clearly pointed out the issues and what can be done.He was very clear, empathetic, professional and I understood exactly what he proposed to do in surgery, and I trusted him. Dr Lee told me that after the surgery, the lower back and sciatica pain would be gone. He was right, other than recovering from surgery, I am in absolutely no pain.The professionalism in his office is outstanding. Dr Lees PA, Dana, and the nurses in the hospital, Emily, Anna, Lilia and physical therapist Renee were extremely attentive, knowledgeable, empathetic and pleasant.

Saw Dr. Lin privately as the office does not accept my insurance. He and all his staff were very professional and knowledgeable. The doctor listened to me and answered all my questions. The wait time was around 50 minutes from my scheduled appointment time, but overall a very pleasant experience.

I had what was for now my last appointment with Dr. Hindoyan. I am almost completely pain free after a back injury. I have never been a patient at Congress before but know many who have and they are the best. Dr. Hindoyan is a wonderful kind, compassionate and caring physician who did an excellent job with my back. All the office staff are great, very professional and efficient.

My dad had the back problems for a really long time and back in December last year(2022) his problem got a lot worst which he couldnt walk and he felt numbness for his legs. So i booked with Congress immediately and Dr.Hindoyan was the Doctor that took care of my dad and not only he suggested to have the operation immediately on the back for the nerves but he also operated the surgery and it was very successful !After the surgery my dad did the physical therapy at Congress with Elite physical center (in the same building) and Chi was the instructor and she was very professional as well !Also props to the staffs that works there because every time i was there theyre very busy but their customer service were still top notch .

Save your money and go somewhere else. I came in with an ankle and shoulder sprain, and I left with the same ankle and shoulder problems. I have been doing his exercises as instructed and I still have the same issues. I could have looked online or found a helpful friend for resources and found the same exercises.Ive had shoulder problems for a while from lifiting, but the X-Ray scan found nothing, so I was assigned to physical therapy. My physical therapist was Barry Shafer, and he was awful.Hes just a gym bro giving you exercises with no plan or proper explanation for what he was doing. No metrics for improvement, and I had to constantly ask if things were getting better and I never got clear answers. I was an afterthought: he is almost always treating 3-5 other people at the same time, and would just assign exercises for you to do for 20 minutes or assign you to an intern.This was my first time going to physical therapy, so I gave him the benefit of the doubt and thought it would eventually work. Ive since been to other physical therapists, and theyve given me much better attention, tools, and information than I ever received. I have complaints about the other physical therapists Ive seen since, but it was by far the worst here

Hurt back over the weekend, an old injury. Call Monday morning for an appointment. They fit me in at the end of the day, 3:00. Arrived and about 20 minutes later was able to see Dr Quigley and Rox. After x-rays, determined it was a muscle strain. Prescribed a steroid. Three days later feeling much better. As always, aware of my time and concerns. Just because you have a preset time, need to be aware that other patients might take a little longer prior to your appointment. Thanks Congress!

I had a bad spill on my bike on Th night. I called Fri morning to get an appt. Fortunately Dr. Lin had a cancellation that day at 10:30 and so I was able to take that appt. Once I got to the office, I had to wait in the office for about 40 minutes before I started getting attention; BUT I just appreciated that I was able to get an appt. The x-ray guy was great, as was the medical assistant. Dr. Lin was phenomenal: Very personal, understanding, compassionate....and truthful. I appreciated how he was conservative in his treatment plan; he definitely was not trying to push anything. He explained things well, for example, the pros/cons of taking a prescription painkiller vs OTC, as well as parameters around taking both. He showed me what was going on with the X-rays. AND he even wrote down notes for me to take home! I always hate it when a doc rattles off a bunch of things and expects you to remember it all, so Dr. Lins notes were well appreciated! Then the person who provided my splint and went over my insurance information too was very helpful. EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE OVERALL!!

I felt some soreness around my left wrist(same issue two years ago),so I want to make sure I didn’t break anything. Dr Lin is very knowledgeable and pleasant to be with. My experience with Dr. Lin was perfect. I had an unfortunate fall on a sidewalk, and ended up with a broken finger and a broken arm. Im from out of state and only here for a couple of weeks. In addition to Dr. Lin being a fine surgeon, he is a kind person. He did a lot of explaining, and his staff was equally wonderful. I highly recommend this physician in this to anyone who needs orthopedic care. In addition, the staff is happy working there. They do excellent excellent job putting on a cast, they want to know the degree of comfort youre having. They did a marvelous job making cast comfortable.

The reasons for my 4 out of 5 is due to a front desk check out person who was very rude and I guess had no training on customer service/patience service. The doctors nurses and PAs are great and I love this practice. She not only made a mistake on my charges but also walking away when I asked a question. I do not want to mention the name but she had one eye covered due to an eye issue (so that she knows who this is and hopefully change her attitude towards other patients). Another very passionate front office person came and answered my question and as I noted corrected the copay and I thanked her on my way out!! These kind of bad apples lower the reputation of a good practice

I have been a patient for the past year, working to resolve a shoulder impingement issue, which did require surgery to remove debris in the joint (due to loss of range of motion, and lots of pain and inflammation also due to arthritis).Dr. Garg and the entire staff at the Arcadia office (especially his Assistant, Jennifer Carmona) have treated me with such kindness, warmth, care, and professionalism throughout. They have always made me feel valued and respected as a patient and as an actual participant in my care and treatment, even when I may not have had the best disposition. Dr. Lin performed surgery on my injured finger. I’ve had ongoing physical therapy and periodic office visits with Dr. Lin to monitor my progress. My finger is almost 100% healed now. Dr. Lin has a very pleasant personality and is also very efficient and clearly explains available and recommended treatments. His assistant Angela is also very helpful and makes you comfortable when bringing you into the exam room prior to the doctor’s arrival.

I am posting these comments on behalf of my 94-year-old mother whom I accompanied on her appointment. I found Dr Lee very competent and professional. This first appointment with Dr. Lee from a patients point of view seemed all too brief. My mothers condition is probably something he has seen many, many times; but for us, everything is new and scary. We needed time to absorb what he was telling us and about the prescribed medications. We would have liked an overall framework for the treatment and the hoped for results of this 1st course of prescribed orders and next steps.

DR Garg is the best doctor. I have had. I had to use him for a shoulder surgery and knee surgery. Both times the surgeries went as planned and without a hitch. Dr Garg listens to my concerns and has a lot of different procedures that he can do to help with the recovery process. He is never in a rush and has a great bedside manner. All his staff is knowledgeable, friendly and always willing to go the extra step. You can not go wrong with Congress orthopedic.

Dr. Garg is personable & great to seek advice but expect to wait 1 hr 20+ minutes to see Dr. for about 4 mins or less. The worst part of each visit is the wait in lobby then another waiting period in the patient rooms. IMO this shouldnt be the norm. They really should improve these areas. I was the 5th person scheduled for 9 am slot. IMO thats really inconsiderate of patients time.

Dr. Lin, the X-Ray tech and the nurse were great.The receptionist at the check in could have been a bit more engaging.The print on paperwork that I was asked to fill out when I arrived was SO tiny. Most offices are converting to online or iPad paperwork. Please consider doing the same.

Dr. Joe Y B Lee is an extremely competent spinal surgeon. It’s a very fearful thing to need surgery on your back, or neck. I’ve had both. Dr. Lee is so good at what he does, I had peace knowing I was in his hands. He’s also a great communicator, so I walked away from my follow up visits knowing what was going on inside me. I completely recommend him if you’re ever in need for such serious services.

I have been under the care of Dr Garg for a period of time preceding my surgery and for a little over three months following orthopedic surgery on my shoulder. Through the process my experience was good, Dr Gargs staff was generally helpful and courteous especially preceding surgery. Dr Gargs assistant was professional and helpful in the process pre- ceding surgery and after. Overall my experience has been a positive one, Dr Garg has been informative and helpful in the care Ive received in the months following my surgery. He outlined the goal of physical therapy and the expected success for gaining back mobility. As I entered into physical therapy, he has explained the nature of the treatment moving forward and a time-line for that treatment. I am very confident I have received quality care and am grateful for the honesty preceding surgery and outlook following surgery, and through physical therapy.

Doing much better today!… The reason I’m not giving Congress Orthopaedics 5 stars is that it took me two phone calls and 45 minutes “on hold” to make an appointment. Clearly, they are understaffed. When I finally reached a scheduler, she was helpful and thorough. Congress needs to hire more people to work the phone lines!

From the office staff efficiently in planning my booking of surgery, keeping my preop tests etc arranged, Dawn did an amazing job! She is the coordinator for Dr. ODowd. Dr. ODowd was very thorough in explaining to me my problem, the visual aids of the implant he would use and what to expect were all excellent. Additionally, he reviewed my X-rays and mris and did physical exam of me. Other drs didnt so I feel he is superior. Post op he was right there after surgery to tell me how it went and the next day to examine my progress. Very nice, personable personality...I highly recommend this Dr. And Office!!!

The drs are amazing but the front desk personnel hang up on you & never answer the phone. I was on hold & someone picked up and disconnected without me saying a word TWICE. Dr. Garg is professional, attentive, and friendly. However, in my last visit I had a extremely painful PRP treatment which probably would have been a lot less painful had I been given Lidocain. I was told that the treatment would be slightly painful, and based on my past Cortisone injections in the same area I did not make much of it until the shots were administered.I would have liked to have been given warning of the extreme level of pain I experienced during, and several days after the treatment. I was given a signed certificate allowing me to work with 5 lb maximum load limit on my right arm during work. As it turned out my arm was frozen from pain and elbow inflammation for the next two days and I had to rest with no ability to work.I trust Dr. Garg is experienced enough to be aware of these facts and advise the patients accordingly.

I came in on 5-19-22 with what I thought was a broken wrist, I saw Dr. Garg. He looked at my x-rays and said at least you didnt break it. He gave me a brace and said wear it for about a week. There was no follow up appt.After being in pain for about 8 weeks I came back to see Dr. Lin. I asked for another xray when Dr Lin saw it he said yes it was broken. I was reluctant at first to have another epidural for the severe sciatic pain I was experiencing down both my legs. Dr Hindoyan and the staff at Congress Orthopaedic Associates have been great. I was fortunate to find Dr Hindoyan at a time when my back problems were at their worst. I started to walk with a limp and noticed that my right leg was becoming weaker. I later learned it was also referred to as foot drop. Dr Hindoyan was able to educate us on the issues that had started to limit my mobility and how we could best deal with the problems. We decided that the best option would be to have surgery. On Dec 28 I had the procedure done and I can’t be any happier. I am walking better and have more mobility and strength in my foot. Soon I start physical therapy and the road to healing. Dr. Garg did a great job on my surgery. I had a complete tear of my patellar tendon and to due to delays with insurance I wasnt able to get surgery immediately. Ive always read that this surgery I needed isnt done very often and is typically difficult to do, most people end up with many issues afterwards even needing second surgeries. He was still able to get through the very complicated surgery and patch me up well, to now, a year post surgery, my knee hasnt given any issues and even the scar doesnt look bad at all.

I asked the receptionist (after she processed my insurance) if my insurance was accepted there and I was told yes before my appointment started. Then after my appointment, I was charged $426.00 that had to be paid at that moment. I paid it because my visit was over but I will never return. Liar!
