We are so happy we chose Greg Guss at Concierge College Consulting as our sons college advisor. He truly exceeded our expectations. From our initial call, Greg made us feel at ease. We had endless questions and concerns as first-timers trying to navigate the college application process, and Greg listened and offered great advice. While our son knew that he wanted to be a business major, he really needed expert guidance on building a list of schools, writing a compelling Common App essay, and presenting himself as the strongest applicant possible. Greg was there every step of the way and worked with our son over an extended period to formulate and edit his essays, which ended up being fantastic. He really got to know our son and understand what motivated him and excited him. And best of all, our son found Greg really easy to work with and ended up being accepted to many top schools. Greg has provided superior coaching and professionalism to our graduating son. From our initial conversation he took time to explain this challenge process and listen to our needs. We would honestly be lost without his guidance due to current college acceptance competitiveness. I have seen our son mature and develop more independence because of this. Best of all he has been accepted to most schools that we never thought were a possibility and we’re still waiting to hear back from the remaining schools. I cannot say enough about Greg Guss with Concierge College Consulting. He has literally taken all of the stress out of applying to college. Our son was able to sort through a giant list of schools he created for himself and narrow his focus with Greg’s expert knowledge and experience. Greg is always available to my son via email, phone, and in person. No question is too big or too small. Our son really valued Greg’s guidance. He is personable, organized, reliable, and professional. Our son gained confidence, energy and excitement as opposed to immense stress. The best part was that using Greg totally took the process and its craziness out of our house. And the results were outstanding—acceptances from all his top schools!

Greg has been a tremendous advisor thru this process w/ our high school senior. He has great insight to a huge variety of schools (big/small/ east/ south/ west) and really helped open our son’s options, focus his research, provide feedback to improve his essay and applications… and relieve a lot of stress on us parents. At a time when the undergraduate landscape has been shifting so dramatically, Greg helped him craft a broad yet targeted list of schools that fit his qualifications and aspirations in the competitive Computer Science field. Greg’s guidance in helping find the right topic and theme for his Common App essay was invaluable. He’s patient, kind, thoughtful and great with students!No matter what type of program your student is looking for, Greg has the expertise to listen to your child and support them through the ever changing and increasingly selective college admission process. Our son was admitted early action to one of his top choices and is now deciding between two really strong programs.

Greg has been a life saver for college admissions. He has a very grounded and holistic approach to the admissions process, taking the whole child into consideration (ie: interests, goals, financials, environment, culture, etc). One thing I will say, is if you - can get started sooner than we did, which was senior year-yikes! This way your kiddo has sufficient time to really research their college options. My son first approached Greg with a list of mostly top 20 schools…Greg helped him to get a solid list of back up schools, just in case his top choices didn’t pan out. Have fun and good luck!

Concierge College Counseling has done an outstanding job assisting our daughter with the college application process.We worked with Greg Guss, and in our first meeting, I felt that we had made the right choice to work with CCC. Our daughter was understandably nervous about the meeting, but Greg had a friendly and welcoming demeanor that put her at ease. He asked our daughter about her academic interests but he also asked about her personality (do you see yourself as outgoing, or more reserved? Questions of that nature). Our daughter wanted to attend only colleges in the California University system (UCLA, UCSB, etc), and if she wasnt selected to attend a UC, her plan was to attend the local Community College and then transfer to a UC after her sophomore year.After about 15 minutes of conversation, Greg started to suggest UCs that offered majors that were of interest to our daughter, and that also had a college personality that fit her. Greg explained that some schools are known for certain academic programs such as science, business, or engineering, while others are known to be socially dead and others are party schools. Gregs thorough knowledge of colleges went beyond academics and included things such as local housing availability, recreational facilities, scholarships, and even cafeteria food (apparently UCLAs cafeteria food is outstanding). At the conclusion of our meeting, Greg asked our daughter to write a short essay about herself and her ideas on college life in general before the next meeting.I wasnt present at the following meetings by design so that our daughter could speak freely with Greg about her college applications. After each meeting though our daughter became more confident about her choices, and Greg worked closely with her to tailor her applications and essays to the schools she was interested in.The UC acceptances came out in late March, and our daughter was accepted at several of the schools she applied to. Our decision to work with CCC proved to be an excellent choice and Gregs guidance and encouragement throughout the application process were invaluable.Thank you CCC and thank you, Greg! Well done.

Greg Guss at CCC did an amazing job with helping with my essays. He made the process incredibly easy and a lot less stressful. He helped with finding topics for every single essay and made sure that they were well written and made the right edits.
