2024-03-09 17:29:39I appreciate CEG. Elvis is very helpful, kind and was accommodating to my schedule. They were able to quickly build me a remote desktop and give me access to the programs I needed. Thank You CEG.

2022-08-06 00:31:37Beyond happy with their work! Went in to have a leaky coolant pipe fixed. Not only did they fix my problem but they cleaned my computer pretty throughly. I will definitely be going back here in the future.

2022-04-10 00:37:04This place seems very comfortable about overcharging people.I went in with a dead laptop, suspected bad power supply. They charged me $75 to basically tell me “yes, your power supply is dead, but we’re not completely sure that’s the only problem”.It takes 30 seconds to discover a power supply is dead - attach a multimeter to it and if there’s no voltage it’s dead. I assume they did that which is why I couldn’t understand why they also went ahead and opened up the laptop to run a diagnostic on the motherboard. It’s like taking a car to a mechanic with a dead battery (so the starter doesn’t work) and the mechanic confirming the battery is dead but then also taking apart the starter motor “just to check” - for a fee of course. But it’s even worse, because they did not have a power supply with enough current capacity to test the laptop. If they did, they wouldn’t have had to take apart the laptop - they would just plug in the working power supply and - voila! - the laptop turns out to be fine. Instead they took it apart and determined that “as far as they can tell it seems to be fine but they are not fully sure”.When I asked them why they tested the motherboard, they said it was “standard procedure”. That’s actually not a reason. A reason is something like, “we got an error code from the self test and to check further we had to test the motherboard”. “It’s standard procedure” sounds like “we’d rather not have to explain it further”.And seriously, you’re a computer repair shop, spend $60 on a 200W 19.5v laptop power supply so you can avoid doing your “standard procedure” and just plug in the laptop to a working power supply to check it - but then you’d probably feel awkward about charging customers $75 to do that. Most people who take their computer in to repair shops probably don’t know much about computers. They would likely just accept that it’s “standard procedure” to always test a motherboard without further question. I’m no computer tech and I don’t pretend to be able to do what computer techs do, but I do have a degree in electrical engineering and so I feel qualified to understand a tech’s explanation - and this one just doesn’t pass the sniff test.I recommend going elsewhere.

2020-02-21 01:24:50A very positive experience, second time in for repairs. First repair was a screen replacement on an I phone, fast turn around and a very fair price.Second repair was on my MacBook Pro, was ready to ditch the laptop and buy another since it was running so slow. Figured I would have them look at it and confirm my suspicions about the need to replace, long story short a quick diagnostics and a very reasonable estimate for a new hard drive and I just saved $1,100 and have a like new fast computer again. Thank you, you are all great and very professional.

2019-12-27 21:02:54I had a fantastic experience here. My phone charging port wasn’t working, and I was afraid it was broken and would need to be repaired. A friendly gentleman greeted me and diagnosed the issue; there was a buildup of lint inside the port and once he cleaned it out, it worked perfectly. He didn’t charge me a penny; a 5 star review is the least I can give in return. Great service, great staff. 5/5!!

2019-08-23 23:38:43Staff is friendly but not highly efficient or timely. My service for a screen replacement quoted 2-3 days took 5. Two days later I took protective film off. The new screen was cracked. I called and brought it back immediately. That was two weeks ago. No call back. I called last week. Manager claims I did it his employees would not knowingly turn over a broken device. Well what about not knowing it was cracked? He said he’d check his video. No answer back so I called two days ago. No word. Had to check with manager. We’ll call you back. Still no call back. And if they don’t replace this screen for free that I paid more than $200 to replace, I’m going to spread the word that unless you want to waste your money and time, you would better have a Plan B.UPDATE this review found its way to the owner’s desk. I have since received my repaired iPad fully to my satisfaction. Good job Jorge

2021-04-22 17:27:32Took my HP laptop to CEG Napa for some repairs and they did a fantastic job. It has been about a month now since they repaired it and I have encountered no problems at all. Prices for the repair were reasonable and not too far out. Overall very happy to have my computer back in working condition so I can use it for school. Staff is very professional. Thanks!

2020-06-19 16:26:01They fixed my very expensive laptop for only $75 after I messed it up. They were very friendly and knew a lot! I didnt ask how long until it was going to take but they called me a week later saying it was ready for pickup. I am very happy with my experience here.

2017-12-06 23:49:11They are horrible. Ive had them screw up things like screen replacements and battery replacements. They ruined my iPad Air that I brought in for a simple battery replacement, Ive brought it in 3 times since and all they do is bleed my wallet and claim setting it on handicap mode is a great workaround. Ive had several friends tell me how theyve been screwed by these sitcom kids once I bring up my bad luck experiences. Go to Staples where they dont pretend they know how to fix it so they send it to experts and have it back in 72 hours.
