Kevin and his team are the best! They helped me remove important photos & videos from a broken iPhone that no one, including Apple’s Genius Bar, could help me with. They’ve also helped me with multiple computer issues. They’re honest, professional, fast and their pricing is very reasonable. Computer City Repairs is the only place I trust for my phone & computer repairs. I highly recommend!

I had a bunch of problems with my laptop and was lucky to find this business. Kevin is highly skilled and quickly diagnosed the issues and even had the parts on hand to replace the battery and charging port. It took only a week and my laptop was returned in perfect condition. The prices are really reasonable too. less than half of what I was quoted at big chain retailers. On top of that, communication was excellent and I received regular updates.Highly recommend this local small business 💯

I thought my less than 2 years old MacBook Pro was a goner after I accidentally spilled a cup of water on the keyboard. I took my laptop to Kevin at Computer City repairs the next day and he had it fully repaired within 24 hours. I told him I was a broke college student and he gave me an extremely fair price!!!!!! My laptop is now as good as new when I thought it was fried forever. Kevin is truly a lifesaver, please go here!

Computer city is now my go to spot for anything related to computers.Firstly they always answer the phone in a timely manner and are very polite, always listening to and answering my questions with patience, I have mostly spoken with Kevin who is very professional and also straightforward.Secondly I had a very complicated task for them, I had bought a new graphics card and it wouldnt fit my OG case so after I bought a new I needed someone to move EVERYTHING from the old to the new and they not only did it at a reasonable price compared to the other 6 places I called, but they were the only place that also offered a warranty.To say the least they did an amazing job at it, they cleaned my old dusty components when they didnt have to, the wire management is beautifully done, but they also offered to save the fans of my old case which again is above and beyond in my book.I see this review is running too long and I havent even gotten to how much their Technician also thought me and informed me about the workings of my PC.Overall I think this might be the best place in LA to go get your work done 👌

I have a 2015 MacBook Pro that needed a new battery. Out of warranty and Apple wont service, they told me battery too expensive, I should get a new computer. Went to Geek Squad, they couldnt service because its an antique - they recommended Computer City. Kevin had a battery in stock, replaced it less than 10 minutes and the cost was incredibly affordable. He also checked out another issue I had with the screen and said it couldnt be fixed but nothing to worry about, just keep the computer, its a good one. Remarkable! Thank you, Computer City!

BEWARE!! Don’t be fooled by all the good reviews. Brought my computer on Saturday to be FIXED key word FIXED, was told by Kevin that he didn’t have techs to work on it till Monday ok so I left it with him. Called back home Monday said his tech is working on says he’s doing something to motherboard and changing power supply and will call me back when it’s done, great! Never received a call back on Monday so ok he’s still working on it, today I call in the morning Kevin informs me that it is FIXED key work FIXED! So I paid took it back and key word it is NOT FIXED!! Things that make you go HMMM! So Long story short take it back to see what was going on and the tech informed me he only changed the power supply and hooked it up and it was working had it hook up almost 24 hours, said he didn’t touch the motherboard which Kevin the owner told me he did do something to the motherboard. So I just asked for my computer back so I could take it somewhere more reliable and honest and they made me wait while they take out the power supply cause they said their not going to give me something for free!! Which I never asked for anything for free so they take out their power supply and handing me my old power supply not connected so I asked them put it back the way I brought it which they did but through it all calling me unreasonably and that I was a moron which I may be cause I took my computer to these guys!! One recommendation to all that work at COMPUTER CITY, if you can’t fix something tell the customers you can’t fix it and don’t tell people it’s FIXED key word FIXED moral of this story these guys SUCK key word SUCK

What immediately stuck out to my about this place was how much of a better deal I was able to get on getting my laptop fixed here. Kevin not only charged half of what others were quoting, but he went the extra mile with my repair by replacing faulty OEM screws on my laptop. Ill definitely be recommending this shop to others.

I had noticed that my desktop computer was operating very slowly. so I took it to computer city repairs for a free diagnostic. two hours later, I received a call that the hard drive in my computer was malfunctioning. however, they were able o clone the hard drive, and as a result, my computer s speed increased significantly. I have known the owner, Kevin for many years. He is my ONLY IT expert that I go to. He has helped me enormously over the years. I believe I met him in 2009 and have only gone to him since then!! The man in the front always takes care of me and really explains to me how to make my computer run faster, gives me details on how to work better with my computer, and fixes things for free or low price. Hes not here to take your money and charge you for things you dont need hes really here to help. My experiences with them have been nothing but worthy of the highest rating, especially after being taken for an expensive rice by and unscrupulous crook who not only cheated me, but also totally wreaked havoc on my laptop! The best service I could have asked for, I was extremely impressed throughout the whole process !! I was actually recommended these guys by a Best Buy Geek Squad associate after my laptop screen broke before I had to go on a business trip. Computer City Repairs were on the next level, they were friendly, knowledgeable, professional, kind, very quick, and so much less expensive than any other option Id seen (while still maintaining the good quality). They do repairs in-house, so they ordered my screen replacement and actually switched it out themselves. Music is my passion. unfortunatly, while I was traveling from New York to Los angeles the person next to me in airplane spilled a full glass water in my brand new laptop. I panicked and as soon my plane landed i called Computer City Repairs. I talked to Kevin and he told me to bring in the computer. After48hrs, they called and they informed me they can fix my laptop and they can repair by laptop. i was very happy to hear they were able to fix my computer without losing my data because making music takes months to recreate. the repair took 2 days, they fixed my computer and they recovered my data. Ive now had two repairs done on my moms dell laptop. The first repair was to replace the dc jack which had now broken 3 times since weve had the computer around 4 years. CCR was able to order the part and received it in just a few days. I know this part is very intricate and takes a lot of work just to get to it. Ive watched it get replaced before so I am extremely impressed with the turnaround time. My mom took in the laptop when they opened and it was already repaired and ready to be picked up within 3 hours. Today we picked up the same laptop which had a failed hard drive. It wouldnt boot into windows no matter what I tried. We dropped it off late afternoon yesterday and it was ready within 24 hours with a new hard drive. I was even more surprised to see nothing was lost on the computer, it was all still there. I am so used to losing it all when a hard drive is replaced so.. these guys are miracle workers! Were so happy and grateful to have found this place.

We needed a large folder copied onto 50 USB drives. the files were tested and downloading on multiple PCs in our company - yet these guys - a computer shop - couldnt figure out how to download them. We made every effort to ensure the files were accessible, only to be told Ive spent too much time on this, I cant help you over the phone. Where are your customer service skills??

They were able to fix a computer I hadnt been able to use in over two years, I dropped it off Saturday night and was only able to do so because they waited to close until I arrived. I picked my laptop up on Monday(only because they are closed on Sundays). Long story short, I was able to pick it up not even 48 hours after I had dropped it off. Computer City Repair has affordable prices, a great staff, and incredibly quick repair times. Hopefully I wont have to get my computer fixed again anytime soon, but If I do, Im definitely going here. Skeptical at first, I contacted five other computer repairs stores, Computer City Repairs offered the lowest repair cost. If I could give Computer City Repairs a higher rating I would! This is the 2nd time I have been here for repairs. I showed up with no advance warning with a laptop that wouldnt power on at all. My laptop had the only copy of my final report for my class and it was due in less than 24 hours. Turns out my laptop had been damaged by the rain while I was walking to class. They not only made time to help me immediately, they also managed to save my report and the rest of my files from a partially damaged hard drive. Most stores wont even get back to you in less than 5-7 business days, especially for such a troublesome job. They were incredibly friendly and helpful, knew what they were doing, explained exactly what what wrong, answered all of my questions, the prices were fair, and they were willing to help with my short time table. The people here do excellent work; they are honest about what needs to be done and offer you plans for what should be prioritized. You never have to worry that an estimate was lowballed when you pick up your work. They have worked on my iphone, as well (screen replacements-battery issues); & quality work is much less expensive and not as difficult to make appointments, etc, as with the Apple stores!!).Kevin, the owner, takes his time and explains what the problem is; and how he will do the work and will answer your questions personally. I chose this shop due to its glowing reviews, many of which mention a honest owner. I had the opposite experience and, although it happened well over two months ago, I am still furious about it.Short summary: I brought my laptop (an HP Pavilion 360) in after a coffee spill. I was told the damage was extensive and they could either replace various parts (totaling $750) or replace the laptop with the same model (a refurbished one) for $550 and transfer the hard drive (thereby recovering my files for me).After almost two weeks I went to pick up the refurbished laptop. They attempted to charge me $650. I said this wasnt the quote I had gotten and frankly I was annoyed that it had taken twice as long as theyd told me.When I took the laptop home I found that they had somehow managed to completely wipe the short-term memory despite only transferring the hard drive. All of the computers settings were set back to factory default. My files were in the Documents folder but there were no cookies at all and I had to do password recovery on everything. Okay, whatever. I didnt like being lied to about the time, the cost, or what theyd done, but since I had a working laptop with my files on it, I was happy.Unfortunately it was not a working laptop. I had been told several times it was just like new! I dont know if anyone at the shop has ever used a new computer, but this laptop was the most awful machine Ive ever used. Logging in to Windows could take up to 45 seconds; launching a web browser to check e-mail could take up to a minute, and about 20% of the time you opened a program, it would crash. It was so slow that, when you typed, there was a lag as if I was using a mechanical typewriter.I went in after two weeks of attempting to make the most of it, but the laptop was unusable. This is where the service went from not great to bad. I asked multiple times to speak to the owner, the famous Kevin of the 5-star reviews, but he was always out. I even called in once to make sure he would be there, but when I arrived, he was out to lunch and I was told he wouldnt be back for at least an hour. (It was after 1 p.m.)In my final visit to the shop, I told the technician who claimed to have worked on my laptop that I wanted to return the computer because it didnt work, at all. I opened it up to show him. I also pointed out it was a different model than my old laptop (the screen was 1 smaller so you could easily visualize the difference).I was informed that it was indeed the same laptop, even when I held up the two computers on top of each other so they could see the size difference with their own eyes. (Note that screen size is a spec, just like RAM or keyboard layout, and smaller screens cost less.) The technician opened the laptop, measured with his hands, and said it was the same screen size on the inside. Later, he said, It is the same... just less.I was also told that my old computer probably operated even slower. (It didnt. It worked fine.) I was told I clearly dont know anything about computers and that the refurbished model was fine (but I was also told they could fix it even though it was fine, according to them).At this point I was mostly speechless because, while Im not any sort of tech genius, I can absolutely tell you that I know how my computer worked before being damaged, and that this new computer wasnt working at all. I did not want to waste any more time with this shop, nor did I trust them with my files anymore.Fortunately my husband stepped in and informed them if they didnt take back the computer, we would take the case to small claims court. At this point, they took the computer and issued me a refund without any more arguing.I purchased a new computer directly from HP and it works great. This shop tried to grift me and, when I confronted them about providing a different model than promised that didnt even work, they gaslighted and insulted me.
