My computer was hacked, and I tried all the measures I could possibly take, but I wasnt able to restore the important data. I brought my computer to Computer Ahnex to have professional assess the damage. Luckily, they were able to restore my data in a day. I was impressed with their efficient and kind service. The owner Robert in the front always takes care of me and really explains to me how to make my computer run faster, gives me details on how to work better with my computer, and fixes things for Best price. Very friendly place and had testily helped me a lot through the pandemic when zoom was everything and still is a part of our lives. I highly recommend his skills if you need help with your computers. It was a great experience, they were able to complete everything efficiently and quickly. Three technicians, all very knowledgeable. They installed my printer and my SSD. My computer is running probably ten times faster now. Ive been coming here for 10 years now and have never had a problem. I was having troubles with my computer as it kept turning off when I was trying to do work. I took my computer into their shop and was greeted by nice and helpful staff that understood my problem and wanted to help. The staff was very knowledgeable and quick in repair of computer, I would recommend Computer Ahnex to anyone that is having issues from their computer or needs an upgrade. They also had accessories available like dongles, flash drives, and other miscellaneous cables. Overall a great experience and will be coming back to them if I have anymore PC issues.

Great, friendly, fast service. I was bringing my computer in today and one of the employees sprinted to the door to open it for me! Love it, haha. On top of getting my computer fixed in a very timely manner, they stayed 20 minutes after closing to fix my power button for free. Very nice guys--definitely recommend.

I took my laptop in to get a few dead keys fixed as well as a flickering screen problem. It turned out that I somehow had a large amount of water damage that had gotten all over my motherboard. Computer Ahnex was able to clean the motherboard, fix my keyboard, and repair my screen, all for a reasonable price. Will definitely be coming back for any computer needs.

This place keep magicians!Came in with a laptop that I spilled water on and won’t even charge. Plus the battery was in a very bad condition.Roy popped it open, saw the damage, fixed it and even took care of the battery.2.5 hours and my laptop was as good as new in an affordable price.Highly recommended to come here if you have any issue, small or big, they got you.Ask for Robert 👍🏻

These guys are great. I dropped off my 2015 macbook pro for screen replacement, and less than 24 hours later I got a call it was ready for pick up. They definitely exceeded my expectations. Computer Ahnex were GREAT with repairing our laptops. We expected it to take a week or so and they had both of them repaired in one day. They even repaired what a different shop had been unable to do. They also give you accurate quotes and dont pressure you to buy any unnecessary upgrades. Dont recommend, $250 to diagnose and took one day to check out that a ram was broken. I saw people saying that it took $25 to diagnose, not in my case. And after I retrieved it, my game still crashed, and I came back and instead of that broken ram, they suspected that it was my GPU or system, it was too expensive to replace the GPU, and I bought two rams on Amazon and fixed it by myself. Not professional and expensive.

I’ve ran into a hard disc infinite loop booting issue. They helped me get my files backed up and also got my laptop back in shape with in a day max. The actual fix and labor were mere hours with very reasonable pricing. It took a day just cuz i had a lot of files lmao. Would def recommend and I would also come back if I run into any other computer problems while in town.

When you find a good computer repair shop it’s like finding a good mechanic, barber, or tailor: it’s more than a convenience it’s practically a form of self care. It becomes one if your life hack Rolodexes. You know where to go in LA to get what you need and not be taken for a fool: you have arrived at adulthood and can write Google reviews like the best of them. Computer Ahnex is such a milestone in your journey of mature, urban condition knowingness. The Ahnex’s boss Robert should adopt the moniker Honest Bob: he’s straightforward and always does the cheapest most sensible troubleshooting for you. I have been going here since 2019 and I drive a stupid distance through streets in LA (or worse, the 110) because this is the only place I trust. Robert is a true at-your-service business owner who will even insist his young team help you to your car with your computer. His shop is a true carnival of the general population, like literally imagine 4 random people in Koreatown with failed hard drives walking into your shop experiencing complete panic that they’ve lost their life’s work (probably more than a few half-weaved movie scripts have fluttered in the winds of fate in Robert’s storefront). Robert will even clue you into the many interesting, stubborn ways major computer companies “update” hardware parts so as to fuel their needless adoption and contribute to land fills. Computer repair shops are among the most noble of modern day services and the Computer Ahnex is no exception.

I brought my brand new Mac,which stoped charging, and they told me that it is impossible to repair it, also to take the data out, so basically I have to though it away. (The diagnostics costs 150 bucks!). I brought my computer to another repair center and they took my data out, moreover, repaired my Mac and it works just perfect!!! Didn’t pay for diagnostics, only for job. This is not the place you should leave your money for the solution ‘nothings can be done’.

Oh, the horror! The horror of NOTHING. I powered up my laptop + got the dreaded black screen of death. It wouldnt boot up. It wouldnt do anything. Always happens when u least expect it. And I hadnt done a back up since, uh, what year is this?? Now my dads words of wisdom started ringing in my head Its not IF your computer will fail, but WHEN. I shouldve listened. Now I needed a repair + I needed it bad. I found Computer Ahnex had good reviews + was here in Koreatown (English spoken too). Took my laptop in 2 hours before closing. Its a nice clean, orderly place on the 2nd floor. There, James listened to everything I said carefully, asked good questions + cautiously said theyd take a look. We agreed on a basic price. I left with fingers crossed. Less than 2 hours later, James called with awesome news! They fixed my laptop, same day. How great is that? They saved the day, heck, they saved the year. It was approximately $65/hour which is MUCH cheaper than a new laptop. And I got a good deal on a small, sleek external hard drive so I can make my dad happy + perform that long overdue back up. Called a bunch of computer stores in search of a PCIe cable and they either didn’t have it or didn’t know what i was talking or about or just didn’t have it. I called up this place and not only knew what I was talking about, but did actually have it. Also picked up an extra sata cable for a good price. My MacBook Pro screen was totally damaged due to dropping the computer on the floor. I went to Apple Store to have it fixed but after they quoated outrageous price, I changed my mind. I did my research and luckily came across Top Rated Computer Ahnex! My MacBook Pro was repaired the same day. Ive had used my computer for three weeks now and it feels brand new! My laptop’s power button was broken and while bestbuy was charging me $100 just for a diagnosis (not adding the addition cost for fixing it) computer ahnex was able to drill a small hole that gave me access to turn it on without replacing the button. The customer service is great and they’re good at creative solutions! I would definitely recommend them!!

Located within the Koreatown area near Olympic and Vermont. Business is in the far right corner on the second floor. Plenty of shops, restaurants, cafes as well as gas stations, a bank and market. Due to being off of two busy boulevards, there tends to be moderate to heavy traffic between 12pm to 6pm, so be advised. Owner(s) and staff are knowledgeable, professional, honest and more than happy to assist you with all of your questions or concerns regarding computer electronics, etc. I believe it was Jay who helped me over the phone (not sure) but he was super cool, helpful, quoted me a great price for what I needed done and said it would be done within 45 minutes to 2 hours. Also, they dont charge a fee ($25 at others) to diagnose your computer. Overall, everything was great! 4 Stars because I wasnt able to actually get my computer worked on...

Computer Anhex is a secret gem in the heart of Los Angeles! From the friendly and professional reception I received on the phone from the owner, Mr. Ahn, to the repair itself, his repair store offers exceptional customer service. Its reminiscent of the friendly neighborhood service you just don’t see any more. If it’s possible to repair your computer, Mr. Ahn can do it! My 2011 MacBook Pros GPU (graphics board) died. Luckily for me, Mr. Ahn has experience with “reflowing”, where the circuit board is heated to renew any questionable solder joints. To be cautious, Mr. Ahn heated my board just below the max temperature it could withstand. When that failed, Mr. Ahn, decided to reflow it again at max temperature. And BOOM, the GPU returned to full operation! His determination to exhaust all solutions in repairs is beyond belief. The charge for his reflow was $120, a truly modest fee for the length of time reflows take (10 hours). If the repair service had ended in failure, he was only going to charge $70. Mr. Ahns goal is to please his clients and service their needs. I highly recommend Computer Ahnex for any computer repair (Mac and PC).

Cheaters, fraud, refused to refund. The manager said that downloading a Windows was necessary but in fact it was not at all because only d drive was needed to be replaced with a new ssd. And they still charged an O.S install fee of $65 and refused to refund. Do not blindly trust the reviews.

These guys save me $1000s .. I went in, not knowing what to expect, asking how to get files out from a broken hard drive. An older gentleman asked what kind of noise my bad hard drive made. After, he gave me the instructions for free without trying to sell me anything, which got my hard drive back and running again! Everywhere else the minimum is $5000

Searching for a knowledgeable computer tech on dual platform is not easy. I have both a PC and a Mac to deal with and Robert is the Real Pro. I came this Computer Ahnex for upgrading HDD of my Macbook Pro and HP Desktop to SSD. Robert installed Mac OS and Windows 10 on my Macbook Pro and installed Windows 7 on my HP Desktop. I will definitely recommend Computer Ahnex to others, and I am very pleased with great repair and honest, fast, service. Staffs are very nice and friendly, really very very nice people.

They told me over the phone that the computer diagnostic is free. This is a LIE. It turns out, if they open the computer (which is what you really need to do if there is a serious problem with your computer) they charge you $25. Vey misleading.So they opened my computer up and found nothing... I went to the apple store and they found the problem, for free.

There was a problem with the laptop screen not being visible, possibly due to a program issue. Since my house is close to Koreatown in LA, I quickly went to a computer repair shop. Fortunately, the problem was quickly resolved within 2 hours, and the technicians were Korean, so they helped us well in Korean. Perhaps because they only had 4 employees, they were the best technicians Ive ever met in that they fixed things quickly and well. If you fix a similar problem at other places, it usually takes a day or two to fix it, probably because its a one-man business, but this one is recommended because they solved the problem quickly and accurately.

Its really the worst. I heard that the desktop wasnt working because the RAM was broken, and after receiving 120 USD, they contacted me a week later and said that the motherboard and CPU cooler were broken, so I told them to buy the parts themselves. I said I would charge 150 USD again for assembly, but in the end that was all a lie. Ive seen these people work and wait for hours to help other customers, but they are incompetent people who make me come back again and again for hundreds of dollars to fix something that could be fixed for almost free or 100 USD elsewhere, and in the end they cant fix it. Everyone, dont come and fail just because something pops up on Google first. These people only pay a lot of advertising fees to Google and have no skills, so go somewhere else as there are many other talented and young people in K-Town. Dont waste your time and mind.
