Columbus MS tends to get a bad wrap for its overall experience but in reality it is only the parents whose children dont even go there that talk bad about the school. I feel as if it greatly suited my needs. The experience isnt an easy one and yes the diversity isnt that great (Hispanic dominated) but their programs are worth while. Their Hippocrates Circle Program w/ Kaiser is amazing; inspiring young minds to pursue medical careers. Their athletic and after-school programs are great; promoting team work and athletics! Their accelerated studies in the Magnet program allow a great taste in the science field with biology and health joint education programs. Their classes allow exploration in the sciences: computer, health-related, biology/chemistry, and laboratory. It may seem dull at first but their music and drama is absolutely great!!!!! (Carol is an aspiring and awesome coach for the kids in drama. ) Their H Bio course offers lab hands-on experience with dissections and their behaviorology course leads to the students exploration in the world of psychology. They are just overall great at creating well-rounded and humble kids. Appearances lie people! Enrolling your child here only leads to greater things.

By the reviews read written by others I was very concerned about the safety and their capacity of CCMS to help my child succeed while going to middle school, but after being able to see what they have to offer I am very happy, I find a lot of pros, all kids eat for free all the time, their magnet program gets them prepared for math and medicine with visits to some hospitals as part of their training, they have music from the get go, and to top all up they have an after school program that help them develop their skills on sports, computers, dance, tutoring and art.The cons for many will be that the kids will be busy and will need to spend their time on what is important.Not all the kids and parents feel that this much effort is worth it.At the end it is your child and togheter you decide what is good for you!!!

Its a good school it just depends on who r your friends there are fights but u can just not take importance in them btw certain people say there are fights everyday not true no every day fyi last year i am in 8th grade great school i love it.

My experience at this school has been great so far people always say the negative things . Like i always say it doesnt matter what school you go to it all depends on the student if the student wants to learn and get grades then there gonna do it . Some people have nothing better to do but to talk smack .

This is a fantastic school for ur Child to attend.I enjoyed my 3 years of middle school at Columbus middle school there academics are great they have great staff and great students that will help ur Child with there future goals!They have a great special help program which will help ur Child in the classes they dont succeed as much in.So unroll now because Columbus will be hard to get in too if you wait to long.

While i went there i liked it alot. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. But there are some bad qualities like the food and the lack of control on bad behaving kids.

I loved it but the kids act like 18 year olds and it makes the school less enjoyable. Kind of glad I left.

I whent to this school back in 2004 the teachers were good I cant remember there names but I had a nice experience at that school.

I dont care what people say columbus middle school is a good school because I am going to that school in 2017 and I did research
