I have had the privilege of using College Hunks Hauling & Moving three times in 2023 and 2024. Today, we moved out of our offices and had a tremendous amount of junk and furniture that needed removal. I called a couple of days ago and asked Damien if he could accommodate our move-out date, and he said, “Absolutely, we can.” These folks have never disappointed me, and today was no exception. Three fellows, Enrique, Tony, and Eric, showed up at our office, and not only were they efficient, but they couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating. They not only moved all the furniture and junk out, but when they were done, they even offered to clean the carpet. Now, that is going above and beyond the call of duty. These three guys were excellent, and I am thrilled with the results. Thanks, Damien, for sending me three more competent and friendly technicians. Adam, Manny, Jose, Christian were amazing! They helped move my animation garage studio to my new backyard shed studio! They arrived on time, reorganized the garage and my studio! I also recommend not going through the main corporation number and directly contacting Damien the owner of the LA branch. Corporate was horrible to talk to and didn’t help me. I initially had an emergency move with Hunter and Robert. They did a great job moving large items on an emergency basis. 10 Thumbs up! I had a subsequent move to pack and move most of a 3 bedroom and 2.5 half bathroom on an emergency basis in tough conditions. Jason Smith, Jasper, Robert, and Antoine showed up and worked hard all day to ensure the safety of my household including almost all of our stuff and they worked all day on a Sunday. I am so grateful for their hard work. This is a hardworking and trustworthy company that did a great job. I would use them again. I highly recommend them.

Enrique and Robert (Family First Movers via College Hunks) did an excellent job of moving a few difficult to maneuver items that we had no idea how to dispose of. They arrived on time, were very fast, and helped us fold up an old above ground pool (plus all of pipes and items related to the pool), and move them to the truck in record time. The price was fair. They were both very personal and pleasant, and Id be happy to recommend them to anyone who needs a hauling service. A+!Note: We are located in Van Nuys, in the San Fernando Valley.

We just used College Hunks to complete a move from Thousand Oaks to Simi Valley. It was an absolutely terrible experience. Our most expensive appliances, our fridge and our washer/dryer, as well as our floors at the new place and front door at the old place were damaged during the move. The movers took twice as long as was estimated and left at the end without completing the job - our belongings were left stacked in a heaping pile in the garage. The captain of the crew had a terrible attitude and was complaining the entire time about the stairs in our home even though that was a part of our initial conversation and estimate. When we were surprised at the high price at the end, with the damage caused and not even finishing the job, we were told not our fault you signed away all liability nothing we have to do now. I would strongly advise against this company if you want your belongings to show up un-dented and in good condition and to work with an honest moving company. How these people have such good reviews is beyond me. Customer service means nothing to them apparently and we are beyond disappointed. Follow-up has been a nightmare as well and they seem to have no idea what they are doing and could care less what our experience was with them.

Cristian and Anton were superb; they did an excellent job, and were careful about little details like closing the door so the cats didnt get out, and remembering an item I specifically mentioned not wanting to forget. They even helped get the storage units door open when it was being difficult! Id give them six stars, but it doesnt give me that option! Great job!

Christian led a great team today in moving a huge Cali king bed and huge sofa. They did it quickly and were careful and efficient.They hauled a bunch of junk off for 69 $ and it was a good price for all the stuff.Moving the furniture was a good price too because it was so big.Good prices good service. I just had one of the best experiences I have had in a long time. My wife and I needed to dispose of a very sizable box television and a sizeable four-piece hutch. Damian, the franchise owner, came out to give us an estimate with one of his highly skilled assistants. Neither gentleman could have been friendlier or more knowledgeable when they entered our home. They quickly sized up the job at hand and gave us what we thought was an incredibly low bid, and I told them I thought they should be paid more for the work they would be doing for us. Well, these two fellows were phenomenal and meticulous in how they were able to maneuver sizable furniture pieces and a heavy television from our upstairs to our downstairs and out the front door. This was not an easy job since our steps were curved. With other furniture sitting in front of the steps, they had to figure out how to maneuver these pieces best to get them out the front door without running into our newly painted banisters and stairway. I have to give these guys props for how they figured out the best approach and got the job done without damaging our stairway and railings. As I said at the beginning of this reference, on top of all they did, I have not met two more likable, more polite guys than Damian and his assistant. When they were all done and handed me the invoice, I, once again, said it was way too little for all the work they had to do to get the heavy pieces down the stairs and into their massive truck. However, Damian said the price was fair and solid and would not accept another dime from us. Now, we have other heavy items that need to be removed, and when we asked what the price might be, we were thrown again by the small charge. I told Damian the price he estimated was too low and said I would double that amount, and he emphatically said NO! His price was fair, and he would not allow me to increase the estimate. How many business owners would walk away from the opportunity to add a few more dollars to their costs? I doubt too many would do that other than my new friends at College Hunks Hauling Junk Removal. I cant express enough thanks to Damian and his team. My H.U.N.K.S. were Cristian, Justin, Rodney, and Jose. Damian made some strong promises during the meeting when he gave me my free estimate. I am happy to say his team did meet and exceed my expectations. We are cleaning out a home where our adult son lived for over 20 years prior to his passing. There were a lot of items that needed to be disposed of. Between the emotional toll and the physical limitations my wife and I have, we were in need of assistance. We received several estimates for the job and decided to retain H.U.N.K.S. A team of four young gentlemen showed up on time and introduced themselves. We walked the property and they developed a plan to work efficiently and load the truck as full as possible. They were polite, respectful of what I was going through and compassionate. As they removed items they used care not to damage the house or other items. They asked me questions several times to make sure they were doing everything I expected. Also, they came to work. There was no goofing around or avoiding work. The teamwork was also exceptional. Whatever Damian is doing to screen this team is matching his team with the needs of the business. Each time I went to survey progress, the team stopped to ask if they could be of additional help. By the end of the job, they had loaded two of their large trucks with items that needed to be removed. I will use this organization in the future and will specifically request Cristian, Justin, Rodney and Jose if possible.
