I just closed a high value mortgage with Colin Dubel. What I appreciated most was his self accountability, attention to detail and helpful approach. Colin shopped around to get me the lowest rate based on the criteria I had provided - managed every detail all the way through closing (and no delays on any front). He took full accountability of his commitments (terms, conditions, fees are clearly communicated up front); and is diligent in his follow-up with lender, brokers and lawyers to ensure there are no last minute surprises. One of the best and most efficient (hassle free) mortgage experiences Ive ever had. There arent many companies out there that still hold traditional values. Where personal service and a handshake go a long way, Colin is one of those guys. I couldnt have been more satisfied with his professionalism and responsiveness. Colin offered us some great finance options for our 1031 exchange and helped us navigate the rigorous process. Many lenders shop at the same banks and can provide the same product. The difference with Harbor West is that you have someone in your corner fighting for your best interests. I will absolutely use Colin again for our future financing needs.

Colin and his team did a great job in getting our out-of-state multifamily building financed. This was not an easy deal, as there were multiple factors that made it difficult to finance, however, Colin and his team got us great terms and closed the deal on time (much to our surprise). I have worked for an independent school for 10 years, and have wanted to refinance our property loan from Day One due to the terms and covenants. Colin is a financial ninja. Without ever meeting in person, he quickly became a trusted confidant and the chosen broker for my first 1031 exchange. Perhaps most surprisingly, when the clock was running down on the identification period during the holidays, he actually identified the under-marketed property--with considerable upside—that became the subject of purchase. Not only did he identify why this property was in many ways superior to some of the others that had been identified, he worked tirelessly to help me secure the loan in spite of several possible setbacks and and seller who suddenly became reluctant when his own 1031 when sideways. All in all, when Im 70 years old and financially secure beyond my current expectations, I have a feeling that I will look back and realize that I will owe Colin Dubel much more than a great Google review. It was wonderful working with him and I cant wait to have the opportunity to do so again.Update: five years later and I just went through a refinancing process that has helped usher in my own retirement. Colin helped me navigate a life moment of some considerable significance with the same energy and enthusiasm that he brought to the table to secure the original deal. Now, some years later, a refinancing of that property has allowed me the financial flexibility to leave a problematic work environment in favor of taking a grown-up gap year to pursue creative pursuits. Colin, of Harborwest, helped us with a difficult re-fi. He found the most reasonable rates, negotiated the best deal for us, and stayed on top of the process. This was especially helpful during the period that the bank was having problems with their internal IT system. I recommend Colin and his company most highly.
