Inconsistent service. Times where techs show up without an appointment. Crew shows up at my house on Monday without notice but I guess called 20 minutes before arrival while I was in Rocklin. Told me that theyd be back on Wednesday. Its now Saturday and I just heard that the problem is on their end and didnt need to come out. Speed is as slow or slower than dial up. Fed up. Looking for new provider!
I was paying approximately $30 for slow and often not working internet service. They took the money from my account automatically. Bad deal there. Without a phone call or notification by US mail. They charged me $161.95 out of the blue. I called and they said they set an email. I didn’t see it. They said that it wasn’t feasible to call their costumers. I was told by my son not to do business with them. While he was serving with the marines overseas thy took $900 from him. He couldn’t fix it because he couldn’t call from his post. Colfaxnet is not a real business, it’s run like someone’s hobby and when he needs money he takes it. SHAME on you Colfaxnet.
I have used Colfaxnet since my nextdoor neighbor highly recommended them last year (2017). The best customer service possible. My install cost was less than the estimate, every phone call has been answered, even when I expected an answering machine late on a Sunday night after 10PM (We work until the work is done). I had been a 15 year subscriber to an internet satelite company since I live in the foothills but the speed was so slow that watching a video was an exercise in frustration and bad weather stopped service entirely. Colfaxnets speeds are uninterrupted even when using multiple devices and I have the least expensive data package. I dont know what the 1 star reviewers problems are but I suspect they have ulterior motives for competitors.
They advertise and charge for 1mbps, but actual speed averages 492kbps. The bulk of ColfaxNet customers are the elderly, who may or may not know how screwed they are actually getting. Consistently inconsistent. You will probably have to remount your own receiver. All around awful.
Service is so horrible, to leave this review, Ive had to use my cell data. BEWARE this is in no way a company one should choose to do business with. If your stuck with colfaxnet or slower rated DSL, consider the DSL because colfax met falsely advertises their speed rating. Im lucky to get a 1mb download when the service is working well.
They charged me over $550 in one month for internet that never exceeded 3mb down. Typically my speed is under 1mb down (average of .86) I used Colfax net for about a year. It was with out a doubt the worst experience with an internet provider Iv ever had. The bill would usually range around $180 per month which was ridiculous for the speed considering I can’t even stream pandora typically because it’s THAT SLOW. But then suddenly they hit me with a $550 bill that they pulled directly from my account without my approval(second month they did that in a row) you are better off with literally ANY OTHER type of internet out there. I used to get off my WiFi and use my phones hotspot to watch a movie. I had them come out several times and they said I was “getting what I paid for” well Iv never heard of ANY internet that costed $550 in a single month.
I had a little trouble getting started with them. But once it was in, weve been very happy. We use it more during the summer, and increase the level of service. I just call Corey up and he changes it according to our needs. Its been about a year and a half now, and weve been pretty happy.
BEWARE SOME OF THESE REVIEWS ARE CLEARLY VENDETTA STYLE! Why do I say this? Firstly most of the horrid ones are all 1st reviews, secondly they are all following the same horrid language.MY EXPERIENCE as a 10 yr customer- Cory is the most polite person you will EVER call for help and everytime I have called him I get off the phone and say WOW HES SO COOL! (how is it possible there is such a contradiction?)- WE LIVE IN THE HILLS FOLKS.. what internet service provider can seamlessly provide service up here NOBODY! Ive tried a few in my 18 yrs here and Colfaxnet wins the best service provider for a reason.- BIG CITY speeds are much faster, you might have considered that before moving up here!IM VERY HAPPY WITH COLFAX NET & CORY!!Im disgusted with the childish fake posts bashing a man who has been in business for years and provides service to this community.BASHERS... all sound like a pile of trash!Its sad that YELP even exists for this very reason... vendetta fake posts to hurt a honest business persons reputation ...
My experience is that I have never in my life, until having colfaxnet, experienced such horrible service. I mean both in terms of costumer service and the actual product of service. Please shop around to save yourself allot of frustration with this awful company. It is obviously a fake that they could have ever won an award. I suspect the couple of positive reviews are fake too. Check them out on yelp reviews.
Internet is very unreliable, as well as the costumer service, good for a single mom or dad with a kid but not for more than 2 people. Can’t even run a console or computer smoothly, barley 3 phones, 1 bar of dats runs smoothly so I don’t recomened this, they need some upgrading to do
Avoid this company if you have ANY other options. Not dependable. They have about 30% usable up time and when there is an issue one should expect it may take months for it to be resolved. MONTHS is NOT an exaggeration...BEWARE - AVOID

2023-05-26 00:13:05Look, there’s always service interruptions. With any carrier. But the guys at Colfaxnet are absolutely hands down the best at responding to calls to report issues and questions. They’re prompt, friendly, and super thorough in making sure the issue is resolved and that is so hard to find in this day and age. If you want to feel like you’re a valued customer, I highly recommend them.

Got told I need to pay them to relocate the satellite after being told by the installer that it was in one of the better locations in the county with “great line of sight” to there tower. High cost for small amount of GB plus they charge you if you go over. So much more but who cares.

2020-08-17 03:13:39I have family who have used this company for years and have been very happy. Their team is so responsive and helpful. Anytime we have a problem they will come out and help. We needed internet the next day so my cousin could attend school and they were out within hours even though they really didn’t have time for us. They were so kind and nice to us. We highly recommend!

I dont think it gets better than Colfaxnet. And their customer service--in the four or so times I have interacted with them--is solid, reasonable, friendly, and relatively timely. Cant do better.

2016-05-02 00:26:21I have had service with them for three years now and am thrilled with the service and price! We cut the Cable chord about two years ago and have not looked back. Colfaxnet provides us quality Internet that supports Netflix, HBO Go, Amazon Prime, as well as the ability to stream Youtube videos. I even use it to watch the Warriors via NBA League Pass. Great support when they set up our system and are very good at getting back to us the two times we had an issue. Both of which were issues not related to their service.
