This place is located right at the beginning of the street and has a nice ambiance. The coffee is great and we enjoyed the Aussie Flat While there.The best part is that they allowed food from the neighboring Little French Bakery to be brought in and enjoyed with the coffee there. Full marks for that as they both places compliment each other.The service is good and I would definitely recommend it.

Enjoyed a delicious cup of Mocha at the Cartel, one of our favorite coffee spots in the Riviera. The service was prompt and friendly. Lots of people inside reading or on their computer. We like sitting outdoors on this pleasant day.

Awesome coffee, awesome vibes. So good. Great little spot, good wifi, not to loud, lots of places to sit. Parking is a bit hairy - lot is small, and everywhere else nearby is metered. But such a neat place. I bought a Moroccan spiced latte (spicy!) and a couple books too 😂Such. A. Vibe.

Ehh, I just wasnt feeling this place, to be honest. Nothing glaringly wrong with it, it does have a nice homey feel to it with ample seating and it appeared free WiFi, so might be a good place to kill some time and catch up on some e-mails. The prices were also fair. The coffee was just average, however, and everything was served in plain paper cups even if you were dining in.

The kind of neighborhood coffee house that actually feels like its part of a neighborhood. Community bulletin boards, bookshelves, sometimes local art. And a little bit of everything: coffee, tea, pastries, smoothies, etc. Offbeat and home-y despite its spot at the end of a row of trendy restaurants. (And its been here longer than most of those!) Decent amounts of both indoor and outdoor seating. The kind of atmosphere that makes you *want* to hang out there.

Stopped in after arriving from Utah to get a cup of coffee. Great atmosphere with a few customers relaxing on the comfortable chairs, using their laptops or reading a book. Coffee is fresh ground and the cup of regular coffee (no additives) is the best Ive had in years. The service was friendly and the prices very reasonable. Ill be back around in 5 months and will make it a point to visit the Coffee Cartel again.

Hands down one of my favorite coffee places in Southern California. Me and my partner always go here for their coffee and other drinks (they have a lot) and also to play chess! They have books and other games available too. Not to mention their prices are cheaper than most coffee shops. Love this place!

Super cute coffee spot. I enjoyed my time there, only gave a 4 star because my chocolate croissant was super dry and not enjoyable. Its a great place to sit and read, or do some work. Teach all of your employees consistency, sometimes I come here, order a bagel and its usually brought to me. Today I ordered a bagel, waited for it to be brought, nothing. I wasnt expecting to be called to pick it up because it was extremely busy in the ordering area and I had my headphones on. 20 minutes later I go check, it was already done. Now I have a cold disgusting bagel because one employee did something differently. Either teach all of them to bring the order or to not bring the order because it really inconveniences customers when stuff gets unpredictable and wastes money. I wasted $3.75 here.

The most awful experience with girl barista today (02.04.2022 around 1pm). I ordered a coffee but the blond girl was just rude and rolled her eyes on me. Never said my order is done, turned her back away and refused to reply when I asked about my order.I loved this place and its in my neighborhood but I have no desire to go back after being treated like that.. 😕

Best thing about this place is how late its open! Great for a late night chat or work spot on the quiet streets of Riviera Village. The coffee is decent, the pastries look scary. The crowd is mixed. They have cool things like open mic nights. My chai latte was surprisingly good.

Just came here a few days ago for the first time and I have to say I really liked it. Its got a nice laid back feel and the coffee is really good. They have a couple different areas to sit.. some with couches, theres a chess table, outdoor seating area and a couple small tables up front. Theres a lot of fun stuff to look around at.. I was with a group so I didnt look much around but I did notice it. They also have a variety of really good pastries and bagels as well as very friendly staff :) would absolutely come again.

My favourite coffee shop in town. Order the Chai Latte, its amazing. I love coming here after spending time at the beach, which is right down the street. Its filled with old couches and chairs, which adds to the charm. Ive noticed a lot of high school kids come here to study on weeknights. Only a few outlets in the place, so if you need to plug-in this might be a little difficult. Ive come here a lot to chat and hang with different friends and its always been a great experience!

It is very good place to chat with people who is local, it also has a varieties of good beverages. It has a small collection library, games of chess, cards, and magic games. Good places to set inside and outside, and it is very close to the beach. There are some fun meeting that happens there too.

This is a cool place, and very spacious, with lots of comfy chairs and couches, and plenty of table space to set your coffee or tea drinks on. There are little alcoves that make you feel like you are in a small sitting room or den, which is really unique and nice for spending quiet time alone or with another person. I thought this place used to be called Catalina Coffee, though. It probably is the same locale, under a different name. But please correct me if Im wrong! Thank you!

I was in town for a couple days and both times I stopped by I had a great experience. The staff was super nice and helpful (even when dealing with obnoxious customers). I had some of their caffeinated teas (the rooibos and some vanilla) but they made them iced for me. My favorite place in Redondo so far!

Very nice place with fantastic oatmilk latte...also the 2 wonderful ladies that work there have fantastic customer service. My toddler knocked off a shelf with some stuff and they were so nice about it. Usually, its quite a momement for the parents:), they made it not emberrasing for us. One of the best coffee shops to hang and work remote from. Great internet speeds, solid coffee. Food choices seem a bit slim, but thats overcome by the affordability, restaurants within walking distance (dozens) and this unreal view of the beach - just around the corner.A quick story on why the people in this community and coffee shop rock...Yesterday, I camped out for about 6 hours working. Everyone was pleasant and the coffee was great. Then I went home. Upon getting home, I realized I lost my power cable. Unable to call (poetry night), I Ubered back and looked around quickly. No luck. Then today, I came back after visiting Best Buy and found my power cable in the lost and found.What wonderful people!

I may be biased in rating this place, as I have too many memories here. This is def a locals hangout spot with lots of character. Most items in the place are actually there because the regulars have put them there to make it feel more like their living room :) From the kosovarian flag on the wall in one corner to the books scattered around the place. Walking distance to the beach ( the quiet part of it where only locals go :) )The minimal food items they offer is nothing to brag about, their espresso is ok.. but the character and service is great

The atmosphere is great, the drinks must be great too, but one of their staff questioned me and said I was skeptical about my curiosity to ask and see what brand of tea they were using for the Thai tea. Also, even though the menu may or may not say it, the same staff member failed to mention that a normal cup of ice water was $1. To the person accompanying me and I, it seemed a bit overly defensive and we both agree that it wasnt good service.

Coffee Cartel is my personal go-to coffee house. I used to live a couple of blocks away until the rents in the area skyrocketed and forced my wife and I to have to move further inland ... into the interior of Torrance.But I still ride my electric-assist bike down to Coffee Cartel to get my morning mocha and do a little work on my laptop.Theres always an eclectic gathering of interesting people who frequent the Cartel.Actually, I think their coffees, espressos, teas, and food is way better than McStarbucks or McCoffee Bean and Tea Leaf. Its just a fact. Plus, theyre just more personal, and feel like a part of the community.Corporate franchises just NEVER feel that way, and thats because theyre NOT and they never will be. Its not part of the corporate mindset or its infrastructure.Plus, there are WAY more places to sit down and relax at Coffee Cartel. Theres nothing personal, nothing homey about a McStarbucks.

My friend wanted to go to Coffee Cartel to do homework and asked if I wanted to come with her. Since I had the day open, I went along for some coffee and WiFi.Coffee Cartel is spacious. Its like one big living room with plenty of tables, wooden chairs, and old couches for you to sit and enjoy your cup of coffee and study. Theres also a few bookshelves filled with books for your reading pleasure.After settling down on a couch that I was comfortable in, I walked to the front counter and ordered my coffee. I had a large vanilla latte w/an extra shot of expresso($5.10) and a sausage & cheese breakfast sandwich ($3.85). My friend also ordered a large white chocolate latte. Her latte wasnt strong enough that she had to order 1 more. She ended up spending over $10 on coffee for one study session. Yiiikes!! Pretty pricey for an average coffeehouse.The cool thing about this coffee house is the free WiFi but you gotta get the password at the counter. Parking is in a very small lot thats shared with other establishments.
