I met Mauricio Bennett by chance as I was looking on line to possibly get a HELOC. And what luck that was. Julio and the team at Coastal Pacific Lending was fantastic on getting our VA refinance done quickly and efficiently. I have never had a refinance go as smoothly as this. From the time we decided to go with them to closing was about 4 weeks total. In addition, they kept paperwork and documentation at a minimum so we were very happy about that. I would definitely recommend using them especially for a VA loan as they proved they are proficient and very competent. Having done several VA loans they would rate at the top of my list. Finally I would like to comment on the no pressure approach when I expressed interest in refinancing. Julio was quick to provide the information and quickly followed up as requested on every item we wanted more detail on. It is worth noting that almost every other refinance company we inquired with for refinancing used high pressure or aggressive tactics (excessive calls texts and emails) which can make things uncomfortable, unpleasant and stressful. Julio was extremely quick to make contact and only replied as requested so we did not feel pressured or rushed in any way. Absolutely love that no pressure approach!!

Since I closed on my refinance in March, I have recommended Alex of Coastal Pacific Lending to many friends and family seeking home loans. I believe he is one of the best in the business for several reasons; he offers the best rates, makes the experience personal, and is extremely considerate.My wife and I shopped around, asking friends, neighbors (some of whom were also brokers), and other brokers about their rates and experiences. Hands down, Alex offered us the best rates around. Within days of closing, my previous broker emailed me (spam) for new low rates a full point higher than Alexs rates.Additionally, Alex shared his personal number with us, and was seemingly able to answer questions at any time of the day. He happily shared his insider perspective and we were even able to compare notes about the state of the industry.During our discussions he was understanding and patient. At one point, a few days before finalizing our contract, my wife and I decided that we werent ready to refinance for personal reasons. Alex had every right to express disappointment or frustration - he had been working with us for a few weeks - but instead let us know that he would be around whenever we were ready to move forward. We recently refinanced our home and worked with Dan Figueroa and his mom, Jeannie Figueroa. Talk about an amazing team. So I did not want to use them for our second reference. Had a wonderful experience working with Logan Mikesell at Coastal Pacific Lending in Chandler, Az on our re-finance in Lawrence Welk Village in Escondido Calif after having a hard time with WellFargo and spending money for appraisal and other things only to be turned down after being told we would get Loan. My husband and I worked with Dylan Forsyth. He is fast, friendly, knowledgeable and will make sure you are getting the best deal! He takes the time to make sure you understand what is happening throughout the process and is always available to thoroughly answer any questions you have or explain anything you dont understand.My only complaint was the appraisal company that came out for our refinance appraisal. We did not shop around and that is a big regret. The gentleman was older, I had to take a number of pictures for him outside the home and in the back yard. I also had to help him with some of the inside measurements. He even had a hard time getting up my front steps due to his age. His appraisal was not very thorough and I feel our home value came in extremely low for the current market because of it. This did not allow for us to get as much cash as we wanted back out of the refinance. I would highly suggest going through Coastal Pacific Lending and using Dylan, but I would personally shop around for your own chosen appraiser.

I would like to share my experience regarding the re-finance for my beautiful home in Phoenix, AZ. I reached out to Coastal Pacific Lending, Inc, specifically Dylan Forsyth. I let him know that I was considering what to do with the equity in my home. Dylan Forsyth offered me several options that his company could assist me with, for me to make an informed decision. I decided to re-finance my home and make some upgrades to further increase the value of my home. From the time I called Dylan with my decision, it took less than two weeks to make it all happen. I recently worked with Michael Gutierrez at Coastal Pacific Lending, Inc. on refinancing my home.He was extremely knowledgeable and made recommendations based on our current situation. For example, he noticed that we were underinsured on our property and overpaying on our premium. He directed us towards the right folks to get options for coverage and now we’re paying less on our insurance with a different company that has also included home warranty.He was available for questions and provided prompt updates throughout the entire process. If something was unclear, I felt comfortable reaching out and asking for clarification. At one point during the process, I noticed that my name was registered incorrectly with the title company when signing some documents. I decided to contact them myself because that’s what their website asked me to do but had some issues with the title company making the adjustments. After a few attempts, let Michael know and asked for some help. He escalated and got the corrections made quicker than I could.Overall I am extremely satisfied with the quality of service I received from Michael at Coastal Pacific Lending, Inc. From 2019-2020 (for my pre-approval and buying process), I was referred to by my agent and corresponded with Abraham for my buying experience in West LA. Abraham was first and foremost very generous with his time and always took my calls and responded to my texts/emails, even on holidays or weekends (and during his vacation!). He made the process of sorting out any concerns about mortgages so easy and reassuring (and the whole process can be very scary and overwhelming because a huge sum of money is involved). I know this seems like a very long time but we ran across some issues regarding a former spouse, he was ordered to Quitclaim on the deed after our divorce and he never did. It was the biggest headache, not only for me but I’m sure it was for CPL (even though it didn’t seem like it). The amazing thing was that they helped me and were with me every step of the way. We had a very poor experience with Coastal Pacific Lenders. They made many promises during the loan process, but did not follow through on their promises. We ended up with a loan servicer with a rating of very poor from the Better Business Bureau (due to the number of complaints, lack of transparency, and failure to honor mediation). Dealing with the loan servicer has been an enormous headache and I deeply regret that I went through Coastal Pacific Lenders. From my experience, Coastal Pacific is interested in receiving the highest commission possible, with complete disregard for the ultimate loan servicer. A simple web search pulls up poor Yelp reviews and many complaints online from the mortgage providers they use, and yet Coastal Pacific continues to send loans their way. Do not fall for Coastal Pacifics promises, they will talk a lot and try to convince you that they can be competitive with other loan products, but in the end they will walk away as soon as they receive their commission and you will be left fending for yourself with nonexistent customer service. If I could go back in time, I would not deal with Coastal Pacific Lenders again (I would have instead dealt directly with a well-regarded bank) and I would caution others to save yourself the headache and go elsewhere.
