Place is amazing for the price. Right now anyhow. During summer months the price is truly outrageous. Was planning a July trip but had to take it in May. That alone saved me $800 for 2 nights huge difference. The parking is $40 a night with valet or self park. Truly more like San Diego prices but thats what you get when multi million dollar resorts go in next door. The room service was great and fast when needed extra pillow and body wash. Upon arrival though the concierge that you have to talk to is a bit much. They try to sell you on their timeshare membership or free vacation for only an hour and half of your time. I politely told them Im not interested I just want to get my key and go to my room. They didnt like that at all and they continued to get to sell me on something. This is 100% not okay to do to every guest. Overall great experience though. City view is great but the train can be heard all night. Not loud and even just the sound of the AC on drowns it out.

We are a Wyndham owner & loved staying at this hotel. We hadnt been in a few years due to personal reasons. We decided to go May 2024. It was an awful experience, as far as the help at the hotel. The concierge was great. He unloaded our luggage & bikes & stored them for us. We did get there early, like we have done in the past, but they said our room wouldnt be ready for another hour. We wondered around the block for over an hour & then checked back. Our room was waiting for inspection. So we had lunch at the 333 Pier. Wonderful food & service. Finely, at 3:10PM we went to the front desk & our room was ready. They gave us (1) key & told us to head to the other side of the room to get our bands. We told the lady right up front we didnt want to sit through any presentations, we were already an owner, & we were just there to relax. Telling her 6x no, she finely got the hint when I walked away pissed. She then said we needed to go back to the other counter because we didnt have a key. SHE LOST OUR KEY in the 20 minutes & 6x we were telling her NO, we didnt want to sit through a presentation. Finely got our keys & headed to our room. Kitchen scissors missing, no rug for the bathroom shower, tub was dirty, balcony furniture has no cushions. When you want an ocean view, expect it out the side of your balcony from the side of the hotel. When we were finely leaving, we stopped at the front to get our bikes. No one was there at the concierge & the ladies at the front desk just watched me through the glass why I waited for someone to come. Finely a lady stepped out & said, do you need something? I told her our bikes. She came back 7 minutes later & said, we have to wait for someone else. they are hanging. When my husband came out I told him & he had to get our bikes. We made the best of it but we wont be back.

My experience with Jeff at Wyndham Resorts in San Diego, California, was nothing short of exceptional. Jeff is incredibly knowledgeable, demonstrating an in-depth understanding of the resorts offerings and the surrounding areas attractions. His expertise significantly enhanced our stay, making us feel both informed and confident in our choices.The presentation Jeff delivered was the best I have ever attended. He conveyed information clearly and engagingly, answering all our questions with patience and detail. His enthusiasm and professionalism were evident throughout, ensuring that we fully appreciated the benefits and unique features of WyndhamUnfortunately, we didn’t buy or extend our timeshare as VIP holders. Every time they touched our account, we were surprised by the changes. It is not worth attending the presentation either, as you’ll be pressured to get something or encounter unexpected rule changes. We had a bad experience with them running our credit without our consent, so do not give out identification or any major credit card. We were told we would not be able to come to this resort for some unexplained reason because we didn’t get the package deal since 2007. They keep changing your account without your consent. A piece of advice: do not attend the presentation when you check in; they make a lot of promises that they do not keep.The beauty of this place is mesmerizing; we love it dearly. We will definitely recommend this place. It is very clean and well-organized.

Location is good. Rooms are nice. Was not happy with the front desk service upon arrival. I had asked if we could have a room by the pool and Kyle said yes and even gave us directions to our room in that direction. Come to find out it was on the opposite side. I figure maybe it was a typo. But when I went back down to check this rude young woman butted in my conversation and said there were no more rooms in that area. She didn’t even check and was rude af. Kyle even looked scared cause he didn’t say a peep. I can tell you I wanted to blow up by her actions but decided she isn’t worth my time. I even asked if I could down grade from our 2 bedroom to an 1 bedroom because it was just me and my husband she continued with her rudeness. Otherwise our stay was good. Just know there is no real customer service at this location, unless they trying to sell you something.

This property is really nice but I had some issues with my room (faucet handle was loose, low shower pressure). I had a room that faced the railroad tracks but as a light sleeper, I didn’t hear the train or railroad crossing bells at night when sleeping. They had earplugs and a white noise machine in case you need it, which was a nice touch. The sky lounge on the 7th floor is amazing; great views of the ocean and the pier. Like others mentioned, they try to convince you to go to a timeshare presentation upon check in; definitely annoying.

My friend has a timeshare here and invited me to hang out for his birthday. The Wyndham was clean, very close to the pier and our room had a great view. There were a number of small restaurants, bars, a brewery and wine tasting close by. The location is not far from the Metrolink train station. I was very satisfied with my stay and plan on coming again in a months time.

We have been coming here for YEARS. This is our FAVORITE Wyndham location. This is this is the first time I am leaving a review. I will say this the Front Desk Staff and the Housekeeping are AMAZING. Went out of their way to be helpful. Our room was fabulous. Perfectly clean and well stocked. Had an ocean front view and needless to say, the view was spectacular. However, that is where the good stops. The timeshare desk is RELENTLESS. We were not going to get wristbands just to avoid then. We were NOT GIVEN THAT CHOICE. They came to us as we walked away and would not let us leave. We are platinum owners we do NOT NEED more points. None of the friends with us were interested. The Timeshare desk called us twice the day of arrival on top of accosting us at check in. Daily after that and 3 times on our last night with the last call coming in after 9p interrupting a movie we were watching the agent would not let me go. I had to be rude to get her off the phone and I do not like having to do that. SOLUTION TO PROBLEM: DO NOT ANSWER YOUR ROOM PHONE. IN FACT UNPLUG THEM. We all had cell phones so family could reach us for an emergency that way. SHAME ON YOU WYNDHAM.

Such a nice location across the street from the beach! All kinds of activities... theres a little park for youngsters at the beach and surfings allowed on one side of the pier swimming as well! There is very lively crowd everywhere.... upbeat atmosphere in this town live music on weekend evenings. Cool local Hangouts and restaurants / bars cocktails to enjoy live music! Everything within walking distance to the Wyndham!

Overall we enjoyed our stay enough to extend an extra day but our stay was not without its flaws. Before we arrived I asked for an early check in, around 1:00pm. I was told three different times that our room was ready before we arrived. When I called at noon to triple check I was also told it was ready. The importance of us making sure our room is ready is because both adults in our party are disabled, one being in a wheel chair. When we arrived at 2:00pm our room wasn’t ready . Jonathan at the front desk didn’t care much about our situation, instead he recommended we walk around the resort until our room is ready . This is after I explained my friend is in a wheelchair and can’t be outside for long periods at a time . We also went grocery shopping on the way based on the fact that it was CONFIRMED our room was ready upon arrival. We finally got to our room and it was clean and well supplied but the fridge was gross with left over food and soda spills . The cabinets had food and dishes in the dishwasher . I found this all ironic considering our room wasn’t ready because it was being “cleaned “. When I called to speak to Jonathan about this he offered to compensate us, I said it was ok but I wanted to let him know, because our check-in (start of our vacation ) was a disaster for us and this was incredibly frustrating. He was annoyed that we just went ahead and emptied the fridge and cleaned, I tried to explain we were rushed to finally get our food put away and get settled in our room. Aside from this experience we loved the hotel and location and knew right away we wanted to stay another night . I called to get room rates and Jonathan offered to give us a discounted rate if we book for a third night but they didn’t have one available. He said instead he’d take off the parking . I called back and spoke to Javier, who was super friendly . He said the parking was removed from our room and if we stay a third night we won’t get charged for parking that night. I was under the assumption the parking was covered for the duration, regardless of a discounted room rate, in fact I was told that . I had spoken to Javier because a manager wasn’t available, but when I later spoke to Alma she said she heard the whole phone call because she was in the room with him and he offered discounted room OR parking not both. If she’s a manager and in the room, why would they say a manager wasn’t available?? I found that to be confusing. We decided to book at a discounted rate although the rate seems steep for the type of room. I do appreciate that they were able to find us a room when they are at capacity, they just should have honored removing all parking and offer a discounted rate . Alma did call back and said they would accommodate our move to a new room, we appreciate that . Here are a few pros and cons about this resort :Pros :LOCATION is everythingThe poolFun activities in the recreation roomThe bell staff is very friendly and helpfulThe staff was quick to equip our room with a shower chair and toilet raiserScavenger hunt for kidsAppreciate they were able to accommodate a second nightThe staff in the rec room are really niceThe doors are handicapped accessible and super helpful.Cons:The pool had wads of hair in it this morning, it looked like someone got in a fight. We took it out using the net .The grates in the pool and jacuzzi are dangerous!!! They stick out so far and are really sharp. I cut my foot 3 times .Parking is $40!!!! Highest I’ve ever paid for parking. Even downtown Los Angeles is less .No seating arrangements in the lobby for guest . Especially those disabled guest who are told to “walk around the property “ because their room wasn’t ready as promised.The “management “ is a bit moody. I was told he was having a bad day. They also do not honor what they say.We ordered instacart and they wouldn’t bring it up or let the driver bring it up. We had to go down to the desk. Again had to explain we are disabled.We didn’t get our wristbands, we got some room cards that didn’t work

THIS place is tops! We come to Oceanside annually and always stay close by, but we wanted to give this Wyndham property a try and boy were we impressed! Everyone from the valet to the front desk to the staff is on point! They def know what it takes to be a five star resort that they are! I’d highly recommend Oceanside Wyndham Resort!
