Not only has Dr. Bakar helped me along my journey to fixing my teeth, but he has also been a great help in supporting me through every step of the way. He and the rest of the team at the office have always been very kind and respectful to me throughout the process.I was born with several missing teeth, resulting in a very special case that required a lot of time and patience to finish, and with Dr. Bakar’s guidance, he managed to save my smile and any future investment issues that could arise. Without him and the loving staff, I wouldn’t be able to carry myself with the confidence and pride that I do today. I am happy to say that I was more than pleased with the results and my experience with the doctor. I would highly recommend his services to anyone interested!

Dr. Bakar has done an amazing work on my daughter Rachels teeth. Compared with past experiences, Dr. Bakar is over a 5 star orthodontist. He invented / created his own device to help Rachel align her teeth and the before and after is amazing beyond belief. I would strongly recommend going to Dr. Bakar to get your teeth done, even if you live in Northern California, its worth it to come down here and see Dr. Bakar. His work is truly exceptional and in the top one percent!

I’m extremely happy with the service here. Dr. Bakar is a terrific orthodontist. He’s definitely a perfectionist which is great because he works hard to make sure the teeth come out fitting just right. He invented a custom device that allowed my teeth to be moved back and avoided any extractions. I would recommend all my friends and family to go to this orthodontist.Jocelyn was also very helpful and kind. She always remembered my color preference and was very accommodating in scheduling appointments.

Dr Bakar and his staff are incredibly welcoming and treated us wonderfully. He has been our kids orthodontist for almost three years now. It was a great experience as a first time braces wearer and I truly do appreciate all his help! He was always able to answer my kids questions, and was very patient about their progress.His office was always able to schedule our kids emergencies like broken braces, etc. His office receptionist is very professional. She is available on phone and text message. The good thing about their office is it’s open on weekends.

I am extremely happy about the service I have received from Dr. Baker and his staff. I visited different orthodontists in different cities and I am so glad that I chose him. He is highly professional and trustworthy. Some other offices tried to sell me Invisalign, and I have been told that due to my bites, having braces with brackets would be impossible, and I have to do Invisalign. But Dr. Baker told me that my teeth are so crowded and for the best result I have to do the braces. I wear clear braces for almost 2 yrs, and extremely happy about my decision. The entire staff are very polite, friendly and professional. Thank you Dr. Baker and Jocelyn.

We have nothing but high praise for Dr. Bakar and staff. Our son had a major hurdle with his teeth because he was missing two upper canines. We went to a few orthodontists and they all recommended increasing the spacing so that they could implant two artificial canines. That seemed like a very painful and expensive route. That was until we consulted with Dr. Bakar, who said he could close the gap without implants. However, this method was not as simple as it seems because closing the gaps could mean that the upper jaw gets smaller and create a severe underbite. Dr. Bakar said that he could avoid the underbite by creating a dental device that would be worn on his head and help to create an outward force, thereby avoiding the underbite. Well, fast forward 2 and one half years, and my son has the perfect teeth with no underbite. Thank you Dr. Bakar and staff.

We contacted Dr Baker on his emergency line late one night when my son chipped his two front teeth on an unfortunate accident.Dr. Baker was able to put us at ease with some emergency treatment options over phone and agreed to help us that same evening at 10pm!We were amazed that he was able to rebuild the teeth with the actual fractured off fragments of tooth, saving us the cost of doing full on caps or crowns.Dr bakar actually allowed me (father ) to watch each step of how he performed the emergency procedure and now it’s very obvious why our friends and doctors put such high trust in Dr Bakar. I was amazed at how he took the time to talk to my son and put him at ease, very carefully numbed him up and with precision restored the two front teeth to their exact original beauty.It’s clear that Dr Bakar loves helping others and insanely detailed procedures are easily tackled by his creative mind.Best part, my sons confidence was immediately restored, his pain was immediate alleviated, and as parents that is priceless. And the cost, beyond reasonable!!! Dr. Bakar was fantastic! It is currently a small office, but that is such a positive aspect as he does all of the work himself. My previous children went to a very popular orthodontist and most of their work was done by assistants. They also had to endure Herbst appliances, whereas Dr. Bakar was able to move my childs jaw forward without the painful appliance. He is a perfectionist, which is why I chose him, and I couldnt be happier. For example, when I requested a permanent retainer for my child at the end of his braces journey, Dr. Bakar made a special mold specifically for his teeth so the retainer would fit as flush as possible. He definitely goes the extra mile and we are very happy with the result. As an extra bonus he sees his patients on Friday, Saturday and Sundays. No working around extracurriculars.

Dr Bakar saved my son! We had a very very bad experience at another Orthodontist, and ended up leaving them. We were then referred to Dr Bakar and he welcomed us and explained how he could help. I 100% recommend Dr. Bakar to anybody looking for orthodontics services. I could not be happier with the work that he provided for my daughter, and his professionalism and care for his patients and their families is unrivaled.Quick story of our experience... We live overseas, and during our travel to California for my mother-in-laws funeral, my daughter managed to throw away the clear retainer that she had just received after having the braces removed from her top teeth. We needed a replacement retainer to keep her teeth from shifting during the two weeks we were in California, so a family member recommended that we go to Dr. Bakar. They got us in within less than 24 hours and were able to easily make a replacement for a very reasonable price. He also noticed that our other dentist had not done a very good job of removing the glue from my daughters teeth, pointed that out, and took care of polishing them up. He noticed that a couple of her bottom teeth were not straight (her back right molar and one in the right front) and showed me that the current work being done on them was not going to fix the problem (our overseas dentist was using some less than ideal equipment and techniques). After discussing for a few minutes, he offered to fix the problem - knowing that we were only going to be in town for two weeks. I was skeptical. ;) Over the next two weeks and about three or four short visits to his office, he was able to completely straighten the two problem teeth (see pictures)!! He knew that we were not going to be long-term patients, but he treated us just like we had been there for years, even coming in during his off hours on a couple of occasions to help us out. Never have I experienced service like this. I cannot thank Dr. Bakar enough for what he did during this difficult time in California. He was and is truly a blessing.Again, I cannot recommend him enough. Amazing knowledge of orthodontia and skills in engineering perfect results. His treatment of patients and their families is second to none. Extremely professional; a great experience all around.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Bakar. I needed double jaw surgery in addition to braces for straightening my teeth. He was in regular contact with my surgeon throughout the entire treatment. Both me and my son are Dr. Bakar’s patients. My son had his treatment first and we’re so happy with the results. I also just had my braces removed last week and I couldn’t be happier with the result. Dr. Bakar and his staff are all so nice and they’re also very gentle when working with adjustments and treatments. Dr. Bakar has a keen eye for detail and his prior background in Engineering gave my daughter a fabulous outcome. Prior consultations with other orthos advised tooth extractions but Dr. Bakar was able to provide another option that include salvaging a pre-adult tooth that was developing and growing and not descending properly as it should. We are grateful for his vision to avoid surgery and instead use a unique dental appliance he created to salvage this tooth and give my daughter a great smile! Dr. Bakar is an amazing orthodontist - so meticulous, caring, patient and a perfectionist in the right way. He will take his time to explain all your options, his recommendations, what he has done at each visit, and he does not add onto your cost if treatment goes beyond his initial estimate and quote. A very kind man who loves his profession, takes pride in it, and does excellent work. Honestly, he was a little (not too much) pricier than other orthodontists we were also referred to, but I could tell he was hands-down the most trustworthy. Doesn’t rush prospective patients and is very upfront about everything. We LOVE my eldest’s smile (he just got his braces off after 2 years) and would trust him with our other kids’ braces, should they need them too. But again, he was honest enough to say they may not need them at all, unless their teeth or jaws start shifting as they mature. What a great guy.

My teeth look amazing!! I wore braces for a couple of years because I had a tooth removed, and I didnt want an implant. Dr. Bakar closed up the space and aligned my teeth perfectly! I love my smile! I wasnt sure he was going to be able to close the gap because I have ginormous teeth, but he did! I highly reccomend him!

Both of my kids were treated by Dr. Bakar and their teeth are fabulous now. Teeth are straight and smiles are wonderful thanks to Dr. Bakar and the staff. I have been under Dr. Bakars care for more than 3 years. Dr. Bakar is a wonderful orthodontist and a terrific person. He is a perfectionist at his work. His minimalist style gave my teeth amazing results with ZERO extractions. He made and tailored devices to perfectly fit my teeth. His devices were comfortable and efficient—I noticed that some of my friends going through orthodontic treatment had bulky devices on the roofs of their mouths while mine fit comfortably around the back of my teeth. I just finished my braces treatment with Dr. Bakar! This was my second time having braces. At the end of my first treatment with another orthodontist, my top teeth were flaring outwards and I was not happy with the results at all. My second treatment was with Dr. Bakar and I am very happy with the results. My teeth are no longer flaring out, my bite fits perfectly, and all the teeth are perfectly aligned. If you ever tell Dr. Bakar that you see a minor problem with your teeth, he will do everything possible to make sure that you are satisfied with the results. Everyone in the office was extremely courteous and professional during every single call and visit.At 42 years of age, I was hesitant to get braces. After my consultation with Dr. Bakar, I felt extremely comfortable and confident he would provide a great experience. This man understands the true value of customer service! I’ve been working with Dr. Bakar for over a year now. Him and his staff work hard and truly care about their employees. Dr. Bakar is a very generous man and focuses more on his relationship with clients rather than greed. I had some gum issues I had to take care of and he respected that I temporarily took a break from braces to address those issues. He was generous with my temporary retainer. Now we’re back in action and he communicates well with my oral surgeon and me.My friend did the same process as me and she had great success. After consulting with Dr. Bakar, I made the decision to get braces again after 30 years from having them as a teenager. I did not wear my retainers the first time so obviously my teeth shifted. My brother had a very positive experience with Dr. Bakar, so I went to see him for a retainer check up as I was not happy with how my teeth were looking. From the very first consultation, I was impressed with how detail-orientated he was. Dr. Bakar was also very accommodating to my schedule as an out of state student who only came home at school breaks throughout the year. Being a young adult, I was a little worried how having braces would look in pictures and going to job interviews. Dr. Bakar recommended clear braces on the top, which made the braces hardly noticeable in pictures. Yailin, Abby and Jocelyn were also amazing staff members! Our experience with Dr. Bakar has been stellar. We had several initial consultations with other orthodontists in our search for the right doctor. Everyone seemed to have a quick fix to my children’s orthodontic needs. Specifically, most were eager to pull teeth to create space and to minimize the length of time spent wearing braces. None of the other doctors addressed bite issues. Dr. Bakar was the only doctor who took the time to give us a full, well-informed consultation and a detailed plan of action to address each of my children’s needs. Getting braces as an adult was something that I was not looking forward to. I found Dr. Bakar through a coworker who was taking her teenage daughter with him. After she raved about what a great orthodontist he was I decide to call and schedule a consultation. From the first time I spoke with Dr.Bakar I knew I wanted him as my ortho. I would like to begin this review by saying that I worked in Dr. Bakar’s office for a while before getting my braces done by him. In the time I worked there I was able to truly see the amazing work he has done for so many patients. No one likes to hear that their time in braces will have to be extended another month or two, but trust me, Dr. Bakar does not want anyone to leave his office short of perfection.I had had previously gotten braces before back in high school and all SEEMED okay when I got them off, but little did I know that the work that orthodontist did wasn’t good and that my molars had tipped inwards so much that it put my gums in danger of recession! Dr. Bakar listened to my wants as a patient and presented me with a few viable options he could do and informed me of each of the options’ pros and cons and helped me decide based on what I wanted.I started dental hygiene school and had to take my braces off so that my classmates can work on my teeth while I worked on theirs. I understood fully that I was ending treatment early, but Dr. Bakar had informed me way beforehand that if I did end treatment early, the results would not be 100% where he wants it to be. But I was okay with this fact, and I started treatment knowing this from the beginning.But to be honest, I WAS SO HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS! I didn’t think my smile would change too much since I had braces before and my teeth weren’t crazy crowded, but all those minute details Dr. Bakar was able to do in the short amount of time he had to work with me did wonders! I originally was referred to Dr. Bakar by long-time dentist & trusted family friend. Throughout my subsequent orthodontic treatment, Dr. Bakar stayed in contact with my dentist and kept him updated on the progress. He & his staff consistently explained what they were doing whenever I had questions.In my case Dr. Bakar identified that in order to fully correct my bite alignment, I would need to undergo jaw surgery. I was initially hesitant; he thoroughly explained why it was needed, what my alternative options were, and what treatment would look like for each. Dr. Bakar prepared a thorough documentation packet with X-Rays, jaw angle diagrams, his letter of referral and an accompanying mold, all of which thoroughly explained his recommendation. I was still nervous about the idea but wanted to get the best results from my care, so I actually went back to my original dentist with all of the information to get a second opinion from someone I had a longer history with. He agreed with all of Dr. Bakars findings.Because I had Kaiser health insurance through my work, I had to go through them for my jaw surgery. I had assumed getting my insurance to cover the surgery would be a big hassle. But, Dr. Bakars meticulous documentation covered all their requirements and it was no trouble at all - you can tell he really understands this process.A little while after I recovered from the surgery, while Dr. Bakar was doing final adjustments, the first COVID lockdowns were announced. We were forced to pause our appointments, but Dr. Bakar got me back on track as soon as local policies permitted appointments to resume. When he did, he and his staff all were wearing appropriate face coverings, & required patients to do likewise. They also did a temperature screening prior to letting people into their office space.I have since finished my course of care and have been very satisfied. Ive received many compliments from co-workers who had seen what my teeth looked like before. Dr. Bakar has not only been very kind and patient with my 5 year old but he is also very sincere. My son was nervous initially but Dr. Bakar always takes his time and explains each step he is going to perform as he goes. My son has been very comfortable and has never dreaded an appointment. But it wasn’t until recently that I was able to really see how genuine and kind Dr. Bakar really is.Around 7:00 p.m. on a school night, my son comes crying to me about his retainer. He said he accidentally popped it off on one side and it was hurting him. The retainer was stuck on the opposite side but the metal bar was bent and sticking out of his lip. He wasn’t able to eat or even close his mouth completely. I texted Dr. Bakar and he immediately called. He said to try and wiggle it out but if not then he would jump in his car and meet me at his office. Within minutes, he was removing my son’s retainer. What a kind and caring orthodontist to leave his home after hours and make my son feel so much better. I really appreciate the kindness he showed my son and never once did he seem like he was put out by having to return to his office after hours. My teeth were so crooked. I had a narrow bite and and open bite and my teeth were overlapping in the front. 3 years ago, my younger son Ethan went to see Dr. Bakar and his team. Before we went to Dr.Bakar we consulted another orthodontist specialist, they told us that my son needs to pull out 4 teeth before he could start with his braces. I cant say enough about Dr. Bakar and his staff! My son was referred for orthodontics work at age 8, due to a front cross bite and severe overcrowding. During our initial consultation, Dr. Bakar also discovered an extra tooth (stuck in bone) in the roof of his mouth. Compounding the complexity of these problems was the fact that my son has high functioning Autism, with sensory issues and anxiety. Dental visits have always been a struggle and I anticipated that finding the right orthodontist who fit my sons needs might take some time. However, I knew after our first consultation with Dr. Bakar that we had found the right one. His knowledge and expertise were impressive and he has a patient, personable demeanor which my son responded to right away. During our visits, Dr. Bakar set aside a lot of extra time to help my son through his sensory/anxiety issues. He knew how to help ease my sons anxiety and ensured he never felt rushed or forced to do anything. In 1 1/2 years, every appointment started right on time and we never had to wait. When I was searching for an orthodontist to straighten out my teeth, I went to several places and when I met Dr. Bakar, he stood out to my parents and I. He is a very nice and honest doctor. Great with special needs!!!Although my son needed braces badly, my wife and I thought he’d never be able to get them because he has special needs that make it difficult for him to sit still and comply with doctor’s orders. After a series of falls that caused him to chip his front teeth three times in six months, we were forced to explore what we thought would be impossible - and we are SO glad we did!! Dr. Bakar is incredibly patient with our son’s behavioral disabilities. He never loses patience or gives up because of a difficult day. He’s willing to schedule as many extra appointments as it takes to build rapport, works with us to implement our token program during visits, and he’s given my son many little treats as rewards for good visits. The result has been progressively easier and easier visits until this last week when my son just sat on his hands, opened his mouth and let the doctor work. Dr. Kevin Bakar and his staff are amazing!I was missing three teeth on the bottom right side of my mouth. Prior to meeting Dr. Bakar, I had implants placed by my periodontics but I did not have the crowns done right away. When I went to have the crowns done, my teeth had shifted and I no longer had enough vertical space for proper crowns. I was given three options. (1) Have a root cannel done on my upper teeth and file them down to make enough space. (2) Have the crowns done but not as high as they should be (pancake style). (3) Consultation with Dr. Bakar for the possibility of braces to create more space.Choosing to see Dr. Bakar was one of the best decisions I have ever made. My bones were very stubborn and did not want to move but he did an outstanding job in thinking outside the box to create a custom treatment to help solve my implant restoration dilemma.He and his staff always made me aware of what they were about to do and what to expect. I read through every single review that was written about Dr. Bakar and after seeing all of the positive feedback that Dr.Bakar received I scheduled a consultation and I’m so happy that I did.When I went to my first appointment, I walked into a very clean office and was immediately greeted by his staff. I then met with Dr.Bakar and he asked a lot of fact finding questions to determine what my expectations were and why I wanted braces for a third time. After taking a look at my teeth he was open and honest with me and he told me that he would try his best to close my open bite without having to have surgery but, it would require patiences and proper care on my end. I was okay with that. Honestly, I was happy with the fact that he was honest with me and that he didn’t make any promises but he did assure me that he would try his best. He did just that!My braces have been on for a little over a year and my bite is COMPLETELY closed and I get so many compliments on my teeth and I’m not done with my treatment. I struggled for a long time about what to do about my teeth. I am in my twenties, and I had never had braces before. Of course, I wanted to try Invisalign first, but after meeting with Dr. Bakar for the first time, I knew that having actual braces was a better choice for the best possible outcome. Dr. Bakar is an exceptional orthodontist!!! My son is a very difficult case. He is able to accomplish what another orthodontist was not able to. He made a special device which is moving his tooth making room for an upcoming implant. He is also bringing down a retained upper tooth that had not come down from the upper jaw until it appeared recently. My son had 2 phases of orthodontics many years ago with another orthodontist. Dr. Bakar will make other devices to hold the spot once my son has implant surgery while the implant is integrating. He explained everything in great detail and is on track for his upcoming implant surgery. It is amazing to me that Dr. Bakar designed the device based on my sons individual need and made the device himself. How wonderful to have such a talent and to be so innovative. I was referred to Dr. Bakar from my dentist in Yorba Linda (Dr. Alley) and am very glad that I was. Being in my mid-30s at the time, I needed braces to fix my bite, align some canines and set some proper spaces for two lower molars that will be implanted. From our first meeting, Dr. Bakar and his staff were nothing but friendly, professional and showed great expertise. It was a tough transition when I got my bit plate placed but they reassured me Id adjust and sure enough I did. A few times I broke a couple of brackets but they fixed them right away though suggested that I continue to chew with caution on harder foods.Anyway, my smile turned out fantastic and Ill be getting my molar implants soon! I lost a tooth after I was involved in a major vehicle collision. The space between the gap was not wide enough to insert an implant. My periodontist suggested I get braces and referred me to Dr. Bakar. Dr. Bakar has been working on my princess braces for the past few weeks. She obtained Stage 1 top and bottom braces with an upper expander. My daughter told me that I thought it was going be so bad but it didnt hurt at all!!! Dr. Bakar took his time to explain the procedure to her and it completely erased her fears. In addition, he thoughtfully customized and fabricated my daughters expander within his own office in order for it to fit and work perfectly for her. She is a petite little girl with a tiny jaw. Dr. Bakars sensitivity to her gagging reflexes is also highly appreciated. Not only that, he offers an incentive program to his patients to encourage regular and appropriate brushing, flossing, and eating habits. This is such a wonderful idea, especially for the younger patients. My princess and I are extremely happy with the braces as well as the superb service from Dr. Bakar and his staff. Dr. Bakar has done an amazing job on my teeth. I came in with a large gap in the front of my top teeth as a result of losing my old retainer. He examined my teeth and was very thorough in his analysis of what could be fixed. There were things that I didnt even know about! He gave me the option to choose which flaws I wished to fix. Unlike many orthodontists, he didnt pressure me to spend money to fix everything. Rather, he customized the treatment to my preference. I could have not chosen a better orthodontist than Dr. Bakar. If you glance at the before and after photos you will see a major difference. The teeth back then were horrifying but now they are close to perfect. The people are more than friendly and will give an update on whatever is going on. Dr. Bakar is my hero. In December of 2017, I FOOLISHLY crashed my bicycle into the back of a parked car. The car won. I split my upper lip, made swiss cheese of my chin and worst of all, broke my jaw. After battling insurance and loading up on opioids for a week and a half I had jaw surgery. One month wired shut with smoothies as my sole sustenance. Fortunately, the flesh wounds heeled quickly. Unfortunately, the jaw surgery was a failure. I was devastated.After moping around for a week or two I was determined to get this situation corrected. On the reccomendation of a dear friend, I found Dr. Kevin G. Bakar. He is a problem solver - and my mouth was a big challenge. He partnered with Dr. Lisa Tran, an Oral Surgeon from Ratner, Wilson & Tran, and TOGETHER they figured out how to correct my horrible bite and straighten my teeth.Dr. Bakar and his staff are phenomenal - they are friendly, efficient and always endeavor to make any procedures as pleasant as possible. I love the fact that Dr. Bakar and staff let you know what they will be doing before they do it.My braces were removed yesterday and my teeth and alignment look better than BEFORE my accident. We had several choices, but we chose him as my kid felt comfortable with him even though his pricing (initially called for around 4500 out of pocket) was higher than others. After first phase (we spent around 2500 out of pocket so far), he hand out paper and said that he will start second phase. On that paper it says he will chard another 4700 (with discount 4500) out of pocket. We argued him about the cost and he insist that he didnt quote for second phase ever. We had other places include both phase for 4000+. After long argument, we decided to pull my son away from him. If you ever want him as your familys orthodontist, get a sign from him how much for both phase. Dont just trust his word as it means nothing for him.
