Cinepolis is always a great place to relax and watch a movie. Having servers come to your very comfy sofa/seat to take your order is very convenient.

Cinépolis is always a fantastic experience. Its a nice theater to go to, they really do have the best food and drink offerings of any of the theaters in the area. Sometimes the movie selection can be limited, and it can feel understaffed at times. This is not a bad thing of you like to be left alone while you go enjoy a movie. Comfortable place to catch a movie.The parking lot is medium, it can be hard to find parking sometimes. This theater offers it own food, and its near restaurants if you are looking to spend the whole night out.

Visited on 6/21/2024 for the 7:30pm showing. This place was FILTHY! The floors in the lobby were littered with popcorn and pieces of napkins or some kind of paper strewn all over the place. None of the employees standing around doing nothing could care less and were never going to be bothered (or made) to grab a broom or vacuum. The carpet is atrociously stained, heavily trafficked and badly in need of even the most basic cleaning. The GM of this location deserves to be fired.The stars are for the in-theater servers who were super friendly and nice. And for the fact no one ever checked our tickets! We walked right in - too bad I paid $20/each for tickets.

First off i want to say I am a loyal Cinepolis rewards member and have always had a good experience at your theaters. I usually go to the Vista location but today, I visited the La Costa location for the first time and I was excited about experiencing the luxury advertised. I went to watch Bad Boys in room 6 at 4pm with my husband. I paid $12 for 1 ticket and used the complimentary ticket i had earned with my rewards points.Unfortunately, my entire experience was just awful from the second I walked in, to the second I had to leave without even finishing the movie I paid to watch in luxury. When I walked in, no one greeted me or even acknowledged me, it was not welcoming at all. Then when I asked a staff member about the cinepolis combo, they replied I dont know and left me hanging to figure it out on my own. That is terrible customer service.I arrived to my seat at 3:30pm and promptly pressed the service button so I could order some food. It took 20 mins for someone to come take my order, and another 20 mins for the food to arrive. I ordered 1 bottomless popcorn, 1 bottomless soda, 1 hersheys pretzels, and a meat lovers pizza. I understand the pizza taking longer, but I expected the soda, drink, and pretzels to be served faster than 20 mins. Then in the middle of the movie, the screen blacked out and i had to get out of my seat to notify staff. It took staff 10 mins to restart the movie. About 30 mins later the screen blacked out again and I got up for the 2nd time to complain to staff. It took them another 10 mins to restart the movie. At this point I just wanted to leave and get a refund because this luxury experience was not what I paid for nor expected. So for the 3rd time I go to complain to the manager and just ask if I can get a refund as I no longer intended to stay for the rest of the movie due to all the things going wrong. The manager then said if I went back to my seat, he would be giving everyone complimentary tickets. So I went back to my seat and a few mins later the manager walked in and started handing out little folded papers. I opened mine to see what was inside and saw mine was empty. I looked around to see if it had slipped out of the folded paper but didnt see it. So for the 4th time I got up to complain. I told the manager I didnt receive anything and he treated me like a liar and said it has to be there. I told him I looked for it and he said he would look for it himself. So I went back to my seat. A few mins later 2 staff members walk in with the manager and they start looking for my missing free ticket. All this was very distracting. They couldnt find it and they left again.At this point I decided my whole entire experience had been completely ruined and I just wanted to get my money back and leave. I got up for the 5th and final time to complain. I gave the manager back his 1 complimentary ticket which my husband had received and just asked if I could be fully refunded for my waste of time and money. He refused to refund me for the $43.92 for the food and only refunded me $12 for the one ticket I paid for. I was never refunded for my complimentary ticket that I used with my rewards points.The manager stated he couldnt refund me for the food we had started to eat. Keep in mind we left a full soda and bowl of popcorn in our seats. I am writing to request a full refund because this was just unacceptable. I paid for a luxury experience...I paid to eat food while enjoying a movie. If I was just going to pay for food without enjoying a movie, I most certainly wouldnt pay over $43 for what I received or even for what I did eat. I would greatly appreciate it if you could have a corporate member respond to my issue in a prompt and professional manner so that we may resolve this matter as soon as possible. Thank you.

The movie was good but the service left a lot to be desired. We had a party of 5 - 3 in one row and 2 behind. We got there really early but our food still didnt come until just as the movie started. We ordered refills 3 times and didnt get them. I found out later that one of the rounds of refills went to my party member behind me, who sent it back (because they had ordered something else) without thinking that it might belong to one of us. Confusing to them? Maybe, but it shouldnt be hard for them to remember which seat ordered which drink, even if they are all on one check.Oh, and my chicken tenders were supposed to have honey mustard, but they served them with regular.On the upside, the seats were comfy and the food was good for what it was. I usually like movies here, but tonights service was just really not good.

Good location and new food menu is an upgrade. However, service is hit or miss. Started off ok, but then when we needed utensils, it took 10 mins to get a server, but he never brought them. After, when we wanted dessert, we had the light on for 15 mins. Once we ordered, the dessert never came, but it was on our bill. When I pointed it out, it was a process to get the extra charges removed. It turned a good experience into a bad one. Please fix service so that we can continue to enjoy this nice cinema.

Theres so much to like at Cinepolis Luxury Cinemas, La Costa. I walked into a towering & impressive rectangular grand lobby, kinda swanky, nicely decorated, with a massive bar of alcohol choices lining the far wall.We got a discount for being old, which at least is one good thing about getting nearer a visit with the Grim Reaper, & aeons from the hard partying days of my youth. Each of our tickets cost $16.50...really not too bad these days, since everything comes with sticker shock & the accompanying, Say What?The theatre we entered, was huge, from my perspective, with a ramp, down to the lower seating area, which is also the smallest. For $4, you can pre-buy tickets & pick your individual seats.Up the stairs, from the level you enter this theatre on, are 2 large seating areas, with a letter & accompanying 1 digit numbers. Our seats were in Section E, which is the lower of the stair seating areas. We Sat in E6 & E7. The upper stair area, was section F, & also the largest seating upstairs. The large reclining leather chairs are huge, comfy & youll recline or lower this chair, by hitting a large silver rocker button on the inside arm of this nice, soft seat chair.The server will come by, before your movie begins, so allow for that, should you care to order food or drinks, including a fully-stocked bar of adult beverages, & popcorn. Theres quite a fancy food menu here, kind pricey, but we chose the old school standard, buttered popcorn. This arrives in a large stainless steel bowl, & there was no shortage of salt, sprinkled on these delicious buttery popped cernels.Our server was super friendly & laid back. For my drink, I chose a JD Sour, & it was mega tasty. My wife ordered a Topo Chico bottle of sparkling water.Negatives for me, were only 2.1) Anyone, no matter the age, with mobility issues, should either be extra slow, & careful, or avoid these steep stairs altogether, depending on your limitations.2) Mens restroom was almost comically tiny, with a small toilet enclosure stall in the back, & one urinal inside the RR, as well.I liked the movie we saw, No Hard Feelings, featuring Jennifer Lawrence. She plays a riotous character in this movie, & much hilarity ensues.

It was.a nice experience. Customer service was great. Menu had quite a selection for a theater. There was a lot of room to walk within the aisle of the theater with an extra table in between seats. The popcorn was really good. It came in real bowls and each piece had butter on it. Unlimited refills on popcorn and sodas was a plus..we went on a Tuesday when the prices were cheaper but would go on any other day also. Cant wait to go back when we are in the area

A great experience for a night out with kids and friends! The service was slow tonight, it was a full house though. The Bloody Mary was so good!

My friend and I had a great experience here! The staff were super friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be back next time Im looking for a slightly more upscale viewing experience.
