I was in need of a new car, and I didn’t want to have to jump through a bunch of hoops to get one. I wanted someone I could trust and who would put me at ease. If you’re looking for a salesman like that, you need to go with Eddie Phakham. He really made me feel like I was just hanging out with a friend while I looked at cars. I am thoroughly satisfied with the service my family received at this location, and I tend to have insurmountable standards. To say it succinctly: go here if you are looking for a new car and ask for Marshall Gonzales. For details keep reading...My beloved Honda Fit pooped out and would be $3800 to fix. While waiting for my ride home, I asked Marshall for more info in case we decided to trade in.The car I was wanting was out of my budget, but instead of assuming, he simply showed me the numbers and allowed me to choose.Moving forward, he was personable to an extent that was enjoyable and didnt drain my energy (great for neuro-spicy brains).Listen, at the end of the day his job is to sell. It is evident that this branch does not coach gross sales tactics, but employs salesmen who understand what you want simply make that happen. Marshall made assumptions where appropriate, did not water down the experience with details I didnt care about, and ultimately I drove away in a trim higher than I planned.They gave me a great trade in value and made the entire process pain-free and simple. I couldnt be happier!

I had a excellent sales experience with Immanuel Flores and all the good people (David, Diamond & Javier) at Chula Vista Honda. Immanuel was friendly, knowledgable and professional. I live in Clairemont, so it was a bit of a drive, but they made it totally worth it. Marshall went above and beyond to make buying a new vehicle very fast and simple. He helped me reserve a vehicle that I saw on the website that was going to be delivered. Dave (the manager) made it happen! What we thought was far beyond our possibilities became a reality all thanks to dave and the rest of the Honda crew at this location. I had the most honest experience with this Honda Dealership as a person from a family that has been disappointed in the past by dealerships that added unnecessary extra fees just to grab more money from already struggling clients.Buying cars for the lower social class is already hard as it is nowadays even though cars (especially in our busy San Diego) are very much a necessity. I was left with no words upon the undeserving generosity I was demonstrated in this dealership where they truly treated us with premium customer service even though we weren’t clients that had an easy case nor a lot of attractive down payment. But because of their generosity and their integrity in their service for their customers we were able to obtain my very much needed dream car within a short span of time. Truly a very great dealership ran by very able overseers motivated by a lot of integrity towards doing the absolute best for every person that walks through the door. I will definitely recommend this dealership to anyone in need of a car.

I had to buy a new car. Didnt have to be brand new could have been used. I got Eddie as my salesman. Eddy was nice knowledgeable informative and patient. We spent a couple of hours reviewing options for me including different models and financing. Eddy helped find me a great new car a 2024 HR-V and got me the deal staying within the budget I presented as my guidelines to purchase. I had a small issue after purchasing and Eddy stayed in touch and fixed the issue in a timely manner. I will recommend Eddy and Honda of Chula Vista with a 6 out of 5 star rating after they resolved my issue. Have a 2023 Honda pilot seen by this service team for a rattling noise my vehicle is at 11k. It is believed that there is air entering the frame causing the rattling anytime I’m on the highway. Was told my vehicle would be ready after pictures in 2-3 days. That Honda would have to make the decision about fixing it and most likely be sent to an Autoshop. That later changed to 2 weeks because the service team didn’t want to take apart and take pictures and then take it apart another time. This dealership doesn’t offer a vehicle for body issues apparently although this is a manufacturer issue. When I asked to schedule in advance with the same team based off their work load there’s no guarantees my car will be worked on for a couple of days. So basically I’m expected to pay not only a new car note but for a rental as well. Honda needs to do better, Volkswagen always gave courtesy vehicles.

Very shady place. My husband called and spoke to a man who told my husband false information and to come on down. He drove 2 hours there just for the manager to low ball the value of our car when we know damn well its worth more than they were saying it was worth. Obviously we did our research. Not too surprised though Ive heard nothing but negative things from many different people about Honda dealers.

Decided to try the new Penske Honda today I went in around 9:45 a.m. I was told it would be ready in about an hour and a half but my car was ready at 1045 so only took them an hour. I was pleasantly surprised by their professionalism by the quickness even though I had no appointment and the quality of the service I will definitely come back to this dealership to get my oil changed, and of course get a free car wash with change. The customer Lounge area was nice and have the TV plenty of seating free custom coffee, if you guys have ever seen those Coke machines where you can customize your drink they have the equivalent of this in coffee so I had me a vanilla mocha something-or-other it was good.

If I could give no stars to this place I would, this place is the worst dealership I have ever dealt with. The lady in finance is rude and demanding no costumer service skills at all. All this dealership cares about is making money, even the manager was an @ss and waisted our whole day at this dealership; we left and went elsewhere (Poway Honda) with way better customer service and way more friendlier. I know salesman/dealerships have to make money but at least have some respect and great customer service if you are going to sell me an overpriced vehicle.

Second time going here. First time bought a car in 2017 and expected the same service for a new car, was not the case. Manager or wanna be closer was more interested in making $$ instead of the sale. First appointment recently person that I had appointment with, didnt have the car ready that I specifically wanted to look at. Came back next day to see the car had came out with wax still on the car and paint job was not that great for the price they were asking. Rims had curb rash. I guess attention to detail is not for everyone that is in sales.

I wish we had paid more attention to the negative reviews here. First, the car we were interested in needed a jump—not a good start. After getting it checked out by a mechanic we were ok with it and prepared to buy in cash, but when the salesman finally brought out the paperwork, the list of fees brought the total to more than 25% over advertised price.We won’t waste our time here again.

MARSHALL wasted almost 3 weeks worth of my time. From the beginning of December to mid December.. He showed us 2 used overpriced cars. Firsts things first I let him know the price number that I was not willing to go over the first day I walked in. After just about 20 minutes of going back and forth about a specific car, knowing I was not willing to go over a certain price he ended up basically giving us his word that he would drop a few thousand. When returning he referred back to the paper work completely disregarding what we agreed upon. If he had would of stuck with a firm NO.. I would for one have spent no more than 10 minutes at this location for our first visit. Two, simply not had gone been for the second time.. not only was MARSHALL horrible with trying to give good reasons as to why the cars were priced at what they were.. once he knew things were not going his way his attitude got even worse.Thanks to RIGOBERTO, after showing us a 2022 Nissan Sentra for a decent price.. actually ended up being about the same price as the 2 older cars Marshall showed.. after a long process we ended up going through with this car. RIGOBERTO kept a smile on his face and had great patience through out our whole experience. Thank you RIGOBERTO.

Had a great buying experience at C.V. Honda. Lisandro was our sales consultant and he was excellent. Always willing to answer questions and support us throughout the purchase. They agreed to a price match from an outside dealership and actually beat that figure by $200. Car was delivered as promised (2024 CRV Hybrid Sport-L FWD) and while weve only had the car for a short while weve been very happy with the vehicle.The only knock if you want to consider it one is that the quoted price and paid price was about $70 off. The finance liaison mentioned that was because the DMV fee is an estimate and they may refund the excess. Not sure how accurate that is or not but that was the only issue I had with the transaction. Initial OTD quote on paper was about $70 less than what we ended up paying.We also had a 1030am appointment over the weekend and arrived on time but didnt meet with the finance staff for about an hour. No big deal as we know to expect that the paperwork can take some time. Once we made it back to go over the paperwork, it only took about 30 minutes to complete.

Recently purchased a 2022 Honda accord 2.0 turbo car is sitting at the shop trying to get fixed because my vehicle didn’t come with well locks. My vehicle is also missing things that was promised to me and for whatever reason I can’t get them out of the manager, so I reached out to the general manager with the same issue no response if you’re looking for a good car, avoid this dealership at all cost how you buy new vehicle/shoes and stuff don’t work shaking my head

I contacted this location for a 2021 Honda Civic Hatchback Sport, had some issues with a particular salesman, however, Mark (Sales Manager) and Lilyan (Saleswoman), completely turned the situation around. I had such a difficult and unpleasant experience with that one salesman, that I was ready to just grab the car and leave because I did not want to be there any longer than I needed to be due to the difficulties I was having the past few days with this salesman. (This was a 2 1/2 - 3 hour drive) We showed up, Lilyan was first to greet my mom and I. After that, I automatically changed my perspective on the location, simply for the reason that she was professional and very welcoming. We sat down and Mark came to greet us as well. We spoke to him about the difficulties we were dealing with and he came back with BETTER terms, and a brand new car! His strive for customer satisfaction was astounding. I’ve never dealt with anyone in customer service who cared more about helping someone rather than just making the money. His goal was simple, have us leave happy, and have returning business rather than a “one and done” sale. Lilyan was absolutely AMAZING! She was so relatable, built great rapport with my mom and I. It was such a significant difference between the level of knowledge and customer service from her, compared to the previous salesman. I appreciated her willingness to help us despite the fact that this was sprung on her within a 30 minute time frame. Her adaptation and ability to help was impressive. Last but not least was the Finance Manager, Andres. While signing the rest of the documents needed, he made the process smooth, quick and so easy. He was able to relate, and able to explain each document I was signing, in a way that was short and simple, but also understandable. All in all, if you visit this particular location, I strongly recommend you bring your business to Lilyan, Mark and Andres. I would not consider this dealership for any service repairs. They provide poor service. The service advisors don’t seem to know what they are doing. There’s never a manager available when needed. In addition to not being able to get through when contacting them. I need to call parts and have them get a hold of someone for me.

Honda Of Chula Vista Off On Main St.When I went to pick up a gas cap for a Honda and the counter guy (I will keep his name out of this for a second chance), 5:00 pm Wednesday March 27th 2024- was not helpful at all. Company that ask me for a favor to pick this peace has an account with them and get said no. I tried to call, but somehow, I lost the signal on my phone. I asked the guy if I could use his, and he said no, to go outside and see if I could get any reception.We just close our account with them and never coming back and telling this to all my customers at the shop with a big picture of this review so some are already returning their new Hondas back to the dealers.Remember, customer service is a KEY for success. #Respect #Zenitraz

Watch out for this place this memorial day weekend they will try and bait and switch vehicles on you to a lower trim to get you into it, I almost did paperwork then they brought car out for inspection in same color but lower trim but I was never interested in that trim never spoke about it just briefly looked at it as it was parked out front, test drove the touring that I wanted, went to do payment hagling for that touring model and thought that was car I was getting but was not..... nice people over all but definatley shady sales tactics, they could have sold me the car that I wanted but now I will look somewhere else

I want to share my experience with Honda of Chula Vista. I had my service done a couple of weeks ago that was long over due. I kept ignoring the message that would pop up in my car and prolonged it because I have gone to other dealerships before and was dreading the process let just say I had not gotten a good experience in the past . I decided to visit Honda of Chula Vista because it is close to my workplace. when I walked in to the service area I was greeted with a big smile by one of the service advisors his name is Frank Moreno I immediately felt a trust and connection. Frank explained to me very well what my car needed and guided me through the process the whole time I felt like he was attentive and communicative and had honest response about the wait times or any delays. Based on my experience I recommend you see frank moreno for any service needs he will make sure you are taken care of. I also felt like the other team members had a positive energy and I will watch their interactions with other costumers and they where also pleasant and transparent. I hope this review helps.

If purchasing, I would look elsewhere. Theres a lack of transparency, and they tend to be insistent on having you sign the paper they print out outlining all the costs. The only reason I say this is once I went to pick up my car, they said it cost 3,000 MORE than what I agreed on. They then said, You signed it here, didnt you? To which I said, No, I didnt and left. I called later for my $500 security deposit and was told to leave my number so they could call me back to return it. They never called me back for about 5 hours of persistent calling and getting redirected to the finance department until I eventually went in person and told them I wanted my refund. Instead of telling me on the phone that I would have to come in for the refund, it looked like they were just going to ignore me until I went in and demanded it. I worked with Lisandro and he was good but once it actually came time to purchase my vehicle he wasnt able to make it, which was fine but he purposely left out the fact that they were going to charge me $3,000 more for the car I wanted. He also consistently said the car I originally wanted was going to be here soon, but it kept getting delayed, which is fine, but he did not really communicate that well unless I reached out to him. I recommend anyone not get pressured by them to purchase right away because I told them I would shop around and they kept reaching out to try to persuade me to come back which I did and was eventually let down. Fast forward a week, I was able to get a car for a great price at Mossy Honda in Lemon Grove, and overall, the setting, ambiance, and experience felt exceptionally better than at Chula Vista.

In May, my brother and I were in the market for a car. I personally enjoy the negotiation process of car buying.We made our way to the Chula Vista Honda dealership close where my brother lives. We were first greeted by a sales person who was quite nice but seemed to learning the products. He was called away to an appointment and he introduced us to Sam Sheikh.I really enjoyed working with Sam. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and had an easy calm demeanor. He walked through all the features of the car. When we decided this particular vehicle would suit our needs, Sam, patiently walked through the various purchasing options. He was transparent about the transaction and we felt very comfortable knowing we got a great deal.All of the staff was pleasant to work with and I would highly recommend you purchasing at Chula Vista Honda. Ask for Sam as Im sure you will get the same level of service that we experienced! Sam should be promoted to a trainer/manager. Had a great service appointment with Cristian Ramos. He’s very informative and helpful with any questions I have, and was very pleasant to communicate with. Definitely the best auto service worker I have ever encountered. I needed a diagnostic that led to a tune up as well as the fuel injectors needing replacing. He looked up my extended warranty ahead of time and gave me all of the information I needed to make my decision, which was helpful as this was not a cheap fix. I felt very informed and confident about how my money was being spent. His work was done 110%. Thank you for all of your help!

I drove into the service center and no one helped me . I went inside and was completely ignored by everyone inside. I stood there for ten minutes waiting to at least be acknowledged. I wasnt so I left and went to mission valley dch Honda where they immediately asked and listened to my issues.I will never consider purchasing a vehicle from this dealership. We drove in with my lifted 2018 jeep, never thought I would trade it for a Honda Civic but the deal was just too good. We quickly told Mr.Delgadillo C. (the sales agent) we didn’t need anything big its just me and my wife no kids, so he took us to a 2019 Civic Coupe Sport, fun, fast, 30-40 mpg and perfectly reasonable price, management, finance and the agent where all super friendly and accessible to my broken foot at the time.

I found Malibu through Chula Vista Hondas website, but it was at sister store in El Centro. After I connected with Jennifer she was on top of ensuring it got to Chula Vista ASAP + she kept in contact with me every step of the way via text and e-mail ( which eased my anxiety as I wanted the 2018 Malibu). As soon as it arrived in Chula Vista I was able to complete walkthrough, test drive ask questions and go back in to review financing options and terms. I went in with a service related issue on my late model civic and I was able to get slotted in within 24 hours on a weekday. My service advisor, Christian, provided a detailed breakdown of my options and went above and beyond to assist in escalating along with getting repairs done quickly and efficiently. The shuttle was also a nice convenience. Service manager Jorge was also extremely helpful along with being transparent. While its not good for a Honda to break down, having a competent team available to assist goes a long way in ensuring trust.

Something is broken with their service department. As a person who is very busy in life I try to make sure I do my research and called in advance to inquire about pricing of the specific service my car was indicating it required. Its not possible for me to spend extra time waiting or making multiple trips to the service department. The dealership was advertising that they were running a special on my service. I called the service number and specifically asked the representative if the price of the deal applied to my car as the advertisement did indicate that there may be different pricing for different vehicles- but the person I spoke with put me on hold and checked with someone and returned and said that the price did in fact apply to my specific car, so I scheduled the service. I was very specific with exactly the code the car was giving me regarding what service was needed. As I had the confirmation that this service was at the price advertised, I scheduled for service and arranged my day so that I could bring my car in. But, upon arrival, 1) They dont seem to have any awareness of why Im there despite my scheduled appointment for a specific type of service. 2) Im informed that the parts needed for the service are on back order or not in stock so there will be a delay or Ill need to make two trips on different days to complete the service, and then the real kicker: 3) Im informed that the price quoted will not apply to my car and that actually it will be nearly twice as much as what I was quoted and reassured would be the case. To top all that off, the service person acted as though he could not care less about all of this just simply repeating his message and basically shrugging his shoulders and giving no real concern about the dealerships/service departments role in all of this- informing me that the person I spoke with was in a call center somewhere so apparently then theres no accountability for misquoting or misleading a customer about price and then scheduling a service that cant even be completed in a timely manner when youve arrived. The level of inconsideration and inconvenience I guess is just what we are all supposed to tolerate today? I was under the impression that it was important to provide accurate information and be true to your word and own your mistakes, but I guess thats just too much to ask from this particular dealership.

Came here with the intention to purchase a car the same day. I am aware of how car sales work with add ons and such so I came prepared with numbers and questions regarding all the additional fees. The car I wanted was around 27,000 and the fees presented were approximately 9 grand extra. With each follow up question regarding the fees, the car sales men (yes, multiple men switched in and out of my little cubicle without introducing themselves) appeared to get more and more angry with me. For example: they added a ‘pro pack’ for $1,992. When I asked what that was, what was included, and for an itemized receipt of the items, I was told that they would ‘discount me’ at 1,290. I questioned again what was included and for the cost of each item. I was told no. The man did verbally start adding up items that got no where near 1,000.Overall, I wouldn’t suggest this place. It felt shady and unnerving that they wouldn’t answer direct questions. I felt like each new salesman that spoke to me just got more and more aggressive with me. It was uncomfortable.

First time getting service here. Not only is an oil change more expensive than the other Honda dealership I go to, but there was no complimentary car wash done. Service advisor recommended me doing a brake fluid flush as per maintenance schedule but I told him it was already done at my last service. When I got the car back the seat cover and carpet liner they use was still there but just mangled around and my phones cable charger was broken, probably from getting stepped on. The service advisor also told me that the brake fluid was low upon inspection and quoted me for a service. Even though when I checked it myself afterwards it was still completely full and was changed previously. So what’s really going on here? You see a younger person and try to get more money out of me? Why are they making stuff up and adding it to my cars record? Another sad example of why dealerships get a bad rap.

I told them I only wanted the oil change and tire rotation for $100. He told me the extra charge was for a brake fluid check. Nothing wrong with it. Just to check it, even though there was no issue. $160 to check the brake fluid?Once removed, they then gave me the correct quote. They didnt print out an invoice, as all dealerships do when you drop off your car for service. So I requested it and they said it was emailed. Well, the email address was incorrect, but not sure how that happened when I have been here in the past and received emails from them. Nonetheless, my daughter left and they said it would be around 3 hours.We received NO phone call and after 3 hours, we tried calling their number which rang off the hook. No answer. We just went there and the car had been ready for awhile.Dont expect great service here. Expect them to take advantage of young females and quote them $468 for an oil change. Dont expect them to tell you when your car is ready. Youre better off going to Jiffy Lube.

I came by to purchase a replacement battery. My current HONDA battery was at its 5 year mark. The service advisor didn’t want to sell me a new battery!! He denied that my battery was a Honda (clear HONDA sticker on the side). So, he said he’ll keep the battery and fully recharge it but it would take 3 hours. Sure, I got a complimentary ride home but I had to Uber to get back to the dealership. It had only taken less than 2 hours to fully recharge (he trashed the diagnostics battery report before I got a chance to take a look at it). My car didn’t start 2 days later and I had to get a jump to the nearest Auto Parts store because Honda Service was closed. SMH.Just yesterday, I had to take my CRV for an oil change. It took 2 hours! And I had an appointment! The Service Advisor didn’t bother letting me know I should have my air filters replaced 15-30 thousand miles down the road just before paying for my service. What?! He didn’t think to ask my permission to have these done during my oil change! I hope they were savvy enough to change the oil filter! I told him that I didn’t want to wait 2 more hours to have this done! I also told him that I wouldn’t want to schedule time off from my job to bring my car back in at 15,000-30,000 miles. I purchased 3 Hondas from this dealership and was loyal to their Service Team because they were respectful, knowledgeable, and knew what they were doing! The original service advisors are no longer there and this new crew is a circus troupe. If the MSRP is $26,445 and sales tax is $2,704.54 then the car should be $29,149.54. Carolina Pedrin brought the paper saying $38,485.65. I did not ask for all of the equipment on the car. Terrible experience. My mom brought in her 2020 CRV. We brought the vehicle in for a maintenance and the Multipoint Inspection stated her rear shocks were leaking. After she paid for her service and asked for the Multipoint Inspection results.We then set another appointment for the repair and they told her she needed to approve a diagnosis. You already told her on the last visit that she needed the rear shocks because they were leaking and now you brush her off. The worst experience here. Was contacted multiple times by managers and higher ups about coming to see a car this week - car was just moved on to lot. We were driving about 35 minutes so wanted to make sure it was good. Contacted morning of and confirmed it was there. Drove down, found out the salesman who was going to meet us wasnt at work today - no one knew where he was and car wasnt on lot or available. Manager apologized said salesman overslept and no one knew about the car until now. I can only imagine with this sort of customer care how bad it would be to actually buy a car from them. Drove up to Temecula Lexus and bought similar car and had a wonderful experience. Buyer beware - there is a management problem here.

The worst experience ever don’t come here, don’t believe the deals they have online, we saw a good price in a car, for my son, we made an appointment with a girl name lilyan, we get there, someone else greeted he began showing us cars even tho we told him we had an appointment with someone else, the car was nowhere to be found, it magically disappeared, but he keep pushing us to buy another car double the price we had in mind, after many attempts of him telling us about the car we didn’t want, finally lilyan comes tells us that the car she had told me over the phone was ready for me to test drive, was no where to be found. Then she leaves saying she would look further to find the car we wanted to see, never comes back, the. The general manager comes and try to push AGAIN to sell the car we had told many times we where not interested, once again I tell him we are not interested in that car. He says he will try to find the car we wanted to see, he leaves, and one more lady comes again, trying to sell us the car We had told them many times we didn’t want. By that time we were already exhausted we had lost two hours of our afternoon trying to figure out if someone was going to find the car we were there to see. We ended up leaving, we dealt with pure unprofessional people, pushy salesman, and feeling very uncomfortable.Don’t come here, we ended up going to kearny mesa and bought a car there.

Be weary of Quiency B., who is a service advisor, Luis G. Technician and anyone else who works in the Car service area of Chula Vista Honda.For months now I have been dealing with some type of leak under my hood which causes my AC to periodically have a slight oily or gasoline smell. After months of dealing with this problem I finally decided to take it to my nearest dealer in order to resolve this issue. BUT, before going in I decided to check a couple of things before taking it in just to see if anything new has developed. I ended up checking BOTH my cabin filter and my engine filter since those are common issues that can occur and lead to issues like the one I was having.Well, low and behold, only after leaving it with Quiency and his team for only about 20 minutes I receive a call that it is indeed leaking oil but also other interesting developments.First, that my valve cover needed to be replaced when I had JUST replaced it months prior.Then it gets worse, they then tried to sell me on the fact that BOTH my Cabin filter and engine filter were straight up missing from my vehicle. I quickly let Mr. Burnell know that it indeed was not missing literally checking it right before I turned it in. Caught in his lie, Mr. Burnell quickly tried to push the blame on his Technician that he was the one that caught the issue. Afterthen losing communication from him for about 10 minutes, I decided to drive down and get my car back ASAP.Upon walking in, a very tense and scared Mr. Burnell was trying his best to assist me and get me out of the door as quick as possible but not without FIRST paying for a $180 Diagnostic fee.While I can understand his reasoning on why they charge a diagnostic fee, I believe that only for 30 minutes worth of labor MAX and on top of that literally stealing BOTH of my filters, this was not something I felt comfortable paying for. Not once did they apologize or even try and replace or give back my filter, they just lied through their teeth through and through until I left dissatisfied, disappointed and very, very upset at MYSELF for even going to this place to begin with.As I wrap up, a couple of notes for anyone who ever wants to go to Chula Vista Honda.1. ALWAYS check and DOCUMENT your car (pics, videos, etc) BEFORE taking it in to any type of service2. PLEASE do YOUR research, these professionals will use any type of tactic, to maximize their dollar on unknowing customers and peddle unnecessary services and yes, even steal from your vehicle.3. DONT make the same mistake I did. Honestly, just avoid the headache that comes with visiting Chula Vista Honda and try and find local trustworthy Mom and Pop shops who wont try and scam you.

Cortney and Tom are some of the worst sales associates i have ever had the displeasure of trying to work with. Had us sit in the dealership for 3 hours negotiating a price for a car they didn’t even have on the lot on a Friday night. After sitting there for hours, they had us put a $500 deposit down for a first or second car that they promised we would be driving away in the next night. After a day of chasing them down for answers, we’re first told that our first choice was sold, and then later at the end of the day that they won’t have our second choice for another few days now so we’d have to come get a loaner for a few days. Upon independent inspection, we found our first choice was still available at the lot they had said sold it! Went and bought the car in under an hour and a half and had a much better experience at Honda of Poway. Stay away from these clowns!

I usually hang around and wait for my car while its being serviced, so its also important to me that the waiting room is comfortable (which is helped by the nearby, free coffee machine!) and the bathrooms are CLEAN!

I had to come here to have my emissions error fixed 3 times. They blamed it on me for not putting the fuel hose correctly but I do after they told me to do so the first time. We had to talk to the manager just for them to honor the warranty. They will tell you it is not the same part that needs replacing but it was for the same error, so you will have to argue that just to get the warranty. Would rather try Pacific Honda next time and avoid all frustration

This place used to be great when it was Penske Honda but after the name change I noticed a change in my maintenance bill, everything is charged. They also play the friendly game until you no longer start to follow their lead into purchasing. They start questioning your decision and try to make you feel pressured into agreeing on the spot. Once they realize you don’t want to purchase, they abruptly get up and childishly have a fit. Treat peoples decisions with respect. Also, don’t lie to customers into thinking they can buy the vehicles only from the dealership “because that’s what Honda wants”. I saw what you guys tried to do there. Purchased my car with my bank with confidence.

Very easy process from beginning to end to get my new Honda Accord Touring model serviced. With some genuine Honda Maintenance Service at the Chula Vista dealership. I called by phone to easily make a reservation. They have a comfortable waiting area with free coffee, free high speed internet and television. Most of all, it was fast and friendly. It took about 45 minutes to do my first scheduled Maintenance Service. They changed the motor oil and oil filter, rotated the 4 tires, and did a complete inspection of my vehicle. That’s how me and my wife felt when we were inquiring about purchasing a vehicle here. We felt like we were a nuisance to your representatives! The level of arrogance and chit chat amongst the employees was unacceptable. From the time we walked in to everything in between and in the end we honestly felt unwelcomed. We went to other dealerships in the area with much better service from the start. Even if you guys would have thrown us a good deal we’d decline it just because of the level of arrogance and disinterest displayed. First and Foremost I got blown off an appointment from Ball Honda of their so called Costco rep, I had 5 people ahead of me. I called and spoke with a Manager by the name of Terry Carrington he assured and promised me the price he gave me will not change. He is a man that knows no nonsense, an honest military veteran. I arrived at the dealership and was welcomed by Glenn A. Luna a kind, knowledgeable salesman with many years of experience. What separates Glenn and other salesmen is that he does not see you as a number and commission. He is very patient even with my unruly brother that wanted to come along and my father who was also a pain. I highly recommend this place to anyone they go out of there way to help and I can see they care about you. Family owned and you feel it. Their finance manager is also great!! Nice young man who is honest and upfront. Andres their Assistant manager is also a nice but blunt individual. A plus for me.

I am only giving them a one star because they did provide somewhat of a good customer service, but this review is based on my recent experience I had with the diagnostics I had them do on my 2017 Honda Pilot.In short, I took my Pilot for a diagnostic because my cars dashboard warning light all came on and the car started complaining that everything had an issue. A few minutes after, the pilot start struggling with acceleration when shifting gears. I took it to the dealer because I trusted them to do an accurate diagnostics of my issue. The service assistant manager first said the diagnostics was going to be $189, after a day he called back saying it could be a full tank or pump related issue and deeper diagnostics needs to be done and cost would increase to $540. I thought the issue was going to be electrical or sensor related and not fuel related but then again, they are the experts. I ask them if they had tested the battery, or any other electronic device, and they say YES. I agree and let them continue checking the car. They came back telling me it was the fuel pump assembly, and it will be $1300 to repair. Not something cheap to repair but again I trusted them with the diagnostics. I got a called once the part arrived and was told that after replacing it that it DID NOT FIX the issue and the car was still the same. They further troubleshooted the problem and call a Honda engineer about the issue. They were told that the high-pressure fuel pump also went bad and most likely it was directly affected by the first fuel pump. Cost for repair was now up to $2,400 if I proceed. I said NO since they also mentioned the part would take weeks to months to arrive and I cant wait that long for a repair.I was charge $827 at the end because they said they couldn’t reinstall my original part back, so I had to pay for the new pump, and they made me pay for some of the diagnostics. I took my car to a local mechanic who quickly diagnose the issue to simply be the car battery, a $310 dollar fix. He replaced the battery, and the car is working back like normal. This mis-diagnostic done by the dealership cost me over $1,000 and a week without a car. I paid $827 for a part I most likely didn’t need to replace and a diagnostic that was completely wrong. I would have been down $2,400 if I would have continued with the dealership and the issue wouldn’t have been resolved.

They were friendly and helpful, even helping me with the decision of what color I liked best. I went back and forth mulling that decision over and they were great about it. In fact, I live in East County and drive all the way to this location in Chula Vista to get my cars serviced. The staff is always friendly and and very professional. I was a little disappointed with the sales staff offer to trade my 2014, even though my CRV has 128k miles, I was only offered $8500. KBB range for my vehicle is $9600 to $10.6k. We probably could have had a deal at the higher number especially since it took an hour to get numbers back. I will continue to service at Penske as the staff in the service team is great!

In the end it turned out that the 2 things have to be with them and the finish touch could not be canceled . I called to make an appointment and they had availability the same afternoon. There was no waiting. They took me right on time. Took about 2 hours for the oil change and maintenance check. Didn’t try to up sell me on unnecessary service. Cost ended up lower than the estimate because they decided the tires didn’t need rotating. The only thing I would recommend is different chairs in the customer lounge. Very uncomfortable and some are broken. Otherwise a great experience. We’ll be back.

Came in to service my new Honda clarity for the first time. At first I was told told I came in to late and was provided no solutions. I came back another day and I was told I needed to call to make an appointment. I called and nobody answered. I went through their awfully built website on my mobile phone to schedule an appointment without any success. Finally I got on the online chat and was eventually contacted by someone to set up an appointment. The appointment was way out because of horrible availability so I decided to come in the next day with more than enough time so they can service a drive in. I was then told they can’t service my vehicle and that I should schedule an appointment on a date that was not previously available when I was talking to the representative on the phone. It seems their departments have no communication between each other. Perhaps they need to hire more mechanics. This is unacceptable and detestable customer service. I have no incentive to keep my business at Honda or to buy future cars from them.

Took my car in for service today after making an appointment over the phone that I was coming in because the plastic parts under my car were grinding against my driver side wheel. I specifically asked the woman taking my appointment to please have a service representative give me a call back so that I can get a better idea of timing as well as price so that I can arrange for someone to come and pick me up while I was waiting for my car to be serviced. I never received a call back. Went in this morning for the scheduled service to only have to repeat what I was taking my car in for service and told that they may not even be able to complete the service of my car today. That was extremely disappointing. Why would I take in my car for service if it was not going to be completed? I understand that parts need to be ordered in order to complete the service but that is specifically why I asked the woman on the phone to have a service representative give me a call prior to my appointment to arrange that. After waiting, I was told that they would have to order the parts and that I would need to come back. Definitely not coming back to get my car serviced at this Honda. So, I decided I would purchase the parts through this Honda location and get them installed elsewhere. It turns out that their parts department is just as a mess. I specifically dealt with Carlos who was rude and obviously lacked in the customer service department. After he immediately placed me on a hold right after answering my call, my phone was loading my cars VIN number and he had the nerve to tell me, I cant wait for you. Call back. Bye. My phone loaded the VIN number immediately after he hung up so I proceeded to call back which he or someone else kept hanging up. Finally, I had about enough of this Honda location and decided to do business with the Honda in National City. Which I am especially glad that I did since I was done in not even 10min. I was a loyal customer to this Honda Location for the past 2 years but not anymore.

Do not waste your time. I contacted Brittany about a car listed on cars.com. She said we have it, come now for a test drive. I get there, she pretends she is someone else and has some other guy tell me they don’t have that car available after all. No one even tries to sell me a car at all so we leave. I cannot comprehend why they would bother wasting peoples time. Stupidest car sales people ever work here, its like they have no interest in selling cars.

By far the best car buying experience I have ever had! The salesman I dealt with, Andres Herrera, and went out of his way to work with me on my lowball offer on vehicle I purchased (2019 Honda Accord EX). The selling price was far below the list price and I also received a discounted extended warranty. Andres went as far as to pick me up at my house on the day I took delivery of the vehicle so I did not have to worry about finding a ride. The finance person who I dealt with, also named Andres (cannot remember his last name) also did a great job. He was very professional and very knowledgeable and got me in and out very quickly. I am 59 years old and have purchased many vehicles in my life. All things considered, Penske Honda of Chula Vista is definitely a place I highly recommend due to their second-to-none customer service and professional, knowledgeable employees. Do yourself a favor and visit Penske Honda of Chula Vista before purchasing a car elsewhere.

Previously had my Honda serviced in LA, w/ providing free Lyft rides even during covid & even complimentary washing of my car. CV Honda lack both of the services. I thought my key to my car was broken & needed to be replaced & the charge was around $ 250.00 which is standard pricing which the service rep quoted me & personally took my key to the proper dept to get the key accessed. luckily I held off & went to a Lock n Key shop & all I needed was $10.00 key FOB case that I replaced on my own. From $250.00 to a $10.00 part, do the math ! I do not recommend servicing your vehicle with CV Honda.

Super sleezy establishment. Me and my partner purchased a Nissan Leaf and the battery was severely degraded and this was never disclosed. When we complained about it, they acted as if we were idiots who just didnt know how to charge an electric vehicle. We were able to return the vehicle because we had a deferred down payment (which wasnt properly documented) so the loan wasnt set up yet but we have yet to receive the down payment we put down. Theres a new excuse every time we try to pick it up. Also, the customer service is terrible, if you ask too many questions they start snapping at you and generally act as if youre a nuisance. I would highly discourage anyone from purchasing a vehicle here.

After going to the National City Honda dealer for brakes and getting an overcharge I decided to go to Penske Honda Chula Vista. I don’t regret my decision of going with them. They were very professional since the moment I got there and followed COVID-19 guidelines. Jorge helped me and send me updates regarding my vehicle. The sales person Daniela was very helpful. Once we started doing the paperwork for the purchase the finance guy tried to give me a higher internet rate for a $500 discount. I’m taking about 1.5% higher on a 72 month loan. I already had a pre approved check from Navy federal and the car when from $29k to $43k. Just on fee’s. I told Daniela I will not be playing this game of you go high I go low. So I ask for my check back and the sales manager said he was checking to make sure the car was still for sale. Terrible experience I will never go there again. I will not recommend anyone to buy from them.

Which was unfortunate, because she seemed DESPERATE to sell a car. Desperate enough to manipulate me into putting a down payment on a car that wasnt even on their lot. Told me they could have it the very next day and I would have a new car that night. LIES! They call me the next day to tell me they would be putting me in a temporary until the car came in about a week later. I drove to the location they said the car I wanted was sold at, only to find out the car had not been sold. I bought it that night from Honda Poway. NEVER EVER EVER under any circumstances, do business with these snakes.

Went to Honda Chula Vista servicing department to get three issues diagnosed; ac not working, electronic buzzing constantly running in the rear of the car, and my left turn signal blinking faster than the right side which all three problems started happening at once. I schedule an appointment in the morning and was met with Jesus meraux, service department representative. He advised that the left turn signal blinking faster is, assumingely, caused by a worn turn signal bulb. He advises that everything will get checked by his technician and that I will pay the diagnostic fee. Great, so I sign the agreement papers and am off on my way.I get a call later that day saying my car will not be worked on because there are other bigger projects ahead of me and my car will be seen the next day. What was the point of scheduling an appointment to not have my car be seen the day of, but stuff happens and I thanked Jesus for the update. The next day, Jesus leaves a message saying my car is being worked on first thing in the morning.Later that day, my car is diagnosed and ready for pick up. Again, they diagnosed the major issues. I pick up my car from Jesus and was given a summary of what the technician found and the solutions. I was told my left turn signal bulb in the front bumper is worn. Jesus asked if I wanted to get it replaced, in which I declined because I didn’t want to pay labor/dealer price for a bulb to be installed that I can easily do. I pay for the diagnostic and am off on my way.Days later, I went to replace the WORN bulb thinking it’s just a 5 min or less job. I come to find out that my left turn signal and fog light attached to the signal is not getting power. Great, maybe the replacement bulbs were the wrong bulb. So I take the right side turn signal bulb (working bulb) to try on the left side. Nothing. Then I test the “worn” bulb on the right side and it is working. Why did I pay for a diagnostic and not get the full inspection? The technician and Jesus both assumed my turn signal light blinking faster was cause by a worn bulb, but the technician didn’t even test the bulb?I met with Jesus some days after and told him what I found and why there’s an issue. He brought over his technician to speak with me, I ask his tech why was this turn signal issue overlooked and why they both were assuming“It’s just a worn bulb.” No power is running to that signal and fog light. The technician could’ve found this problem during the diagnostic. The technician said if I opted to have him replace the bulb, he would’ve found the issue. Now I have to pay another diagnostic for this issue that could’ve been seen from the first diagnostic. The tech explained that I only paid for ONE hour of diagnostic, which I was never told that there was a time limit.I guess I’m just one of those unlucky customers. I will not be coming back to this location. I left 2 stars because most of the work was diagnosed.Tl;drI pay to get my car diagnosed. Tech and Jesus both assume and did not put any effort to diagnose an easy turn signal bulb. Now the problem is bigger than a “worn” bulb that actually worked if the technician tested it in the first place.

Longest time spent waiting to do paperwork ever. Knew what I wanted and came in with an email offer. So the offer process was quick. But almost 5 hours from start to finish was horrible. Also wasn’t told anything about the car not having an alarm and that it would cost me to add it on until doing the paper work. This is my 5th Honda and all my others were from this other dealer that I’ve never had problems with.
