Absolutely the best place to go for PC repair especially when it comes to custom build computers. This was the second time we’ve had them help with our computers.My own personal computer was having a bunch of power cycling issues and they got it diagnosed the day I dropped it off and was able to help me get the replacement part. The price for everything was extremely reasonable. I never had another issue with my PC again! Two years going strong!The second computer is my fiancés first ever desktop PC and it’s a custom built, we wanted a new cooler put in and they again did it extremely quickly and we got it back the same day we dropped it off. I always appreciate this facility and they are super nice too which is always a bonus!

I bought a computer from them about three years ago ( a small laptop I could take with me to Europe) and its been perfect up till the other day when it wouldnt even start up. The computer was suggesting I reinstall my operating system 🪟 Windows and lose everything I didnt have backed up to the cloud. In five minutes over the phone, they had me back up and running and no reinstalling Windows 😁. They were fast friendly and most of all very reasonable. Matter of fact, they charged me nothing 😀. Couldnt be more happy

I spilled a large cup of coffee (with creamer) on the keyboard of my new laptop. Chico Computer Clinic is open on Saturdays, so I rushed over. The man working there quickly got to work, removing the back of the laptop (to allow it to dry) and unplugging the battery (to keep it from turning on which would cause more damage). He then gave a clear explanation of the typical prognosis for a laptop with coffee spilled on it as well as advice about getting it fixed under warranty and what I can do in the meantime. I was also provided with the screwdriver needed to reattach the back of the laptop once it dries! He went above and beyond yet expected no payment. I know that Ill be coming here for any future computer repairs!

I was trying to change my laptop battery on my own but stripped 3 of the screws. I went in and they got the screws out, changed the battery, and cleaned my keyboard in 5 minutes. Literally couldnt have done it better myself.

I want to like this business. Unfortunately, I didnt have the best experience with them. I cant evaluate their ability to work with computers. I need to install a new SSD and some new ram. I called them and asked if they could do it and how much it would cost. The person I spoke to was very straightforward and told me that the installation would cost me $40-$60. This information encouraged me to order the $200 worth of parts needed for my upgrade. The person on the phone clearly understand my decision to keep using my original c drive as my system drive. When my new parts came yesterday afternoon I went to the store to ask for the installation. The person I talked to there said that I should clone my system drive to the new drive but that wasnt a problem because that wouldnt cost me more time or money. I agreed and then he said it would be $150 for the installation. I asked why $150? He said because it costs $100 for handling data. If youre still following you understand why Ill be taking apart my laptop tomorrow and plugging in three chips and saving myself $150.

Even though there is not an easy fix, they recommended multiple options for me to think about and try if I wanted. I came down right before closing and he pulled the cord out knowing exactly what I was looking for. Perfect fit. Didn’t charge me anything. Saved me 15-20$ I was about to spend on Amazon. I have been taking my computer here for a number of years. The service is always fun, friendly, and knowledgeable. They have always fixed my computer problems quickly and the price is never unreasonable.Today I ran in for a quick fix on a missing microphone and it was fixed in five minutes and I was ready to go again.I will not take my computer anywhere but here, they are the best in town.

Love this place! My delete button wasn’t pressing down smoothly, so I took it in and they cleaned underneath it with some air. Totally fixed it! And they didn’t charge me anything! They seem to be a place that wants to approach issues by trying the small practical things first rather than replacing an entire part. All other computer shops I had called ahead of time advised replacing the entire keyboard for a steep fee. But turns out I just had a bit of dust under one of the keys. Highly highly recommend this place!!!!

Great work from Chico Computer Clinic! I was having trouble with my CPU overheating in my pre-built gaming PC and I wanted to upgrade the cooling system. I had bought a new CPU cooler and some case fans, however I did not feel comfortable installing the parts myself. Kyle was able to install these parts for me and so far I have had no more issues with overheating. During my interactions with him he was very professional and very accommodating, and the time it took to complete the work was reasonably quick! Price was fair for the work done and I definitely would recommend this place to others if they have any issues with their computers, and I personally would go back for any future computer services.

I accidentally dropped my newer but out of warranty MacBook Pro and shattered the screen. I was referred to Chico Computer Clinic by a friend who has used them for their Mac repair in the past. My partner and I stopped by today to figure out why his computer had stopped connecting to any networks and he had some urgent work stuff to get finished. Tried all the usual trouble shooting and with no network we couldn’t try any updates. My partner had been to this spot before and had good experiences, so he thought maybe someone could help. We went in and talked to the guy who was working and it turns out the immediate problem was simple and he fixed it on the spot - no waiting. My partner pulled out his wallet to pay but the guy told us that it was simple and not to worry about it. There were a couple of other longer term issues that couldn’t be solved in the two hours before the shop closed for the weekend and we left on Monday (go figure), but if the timing had been better we would have absolutely left the computer there. Great service and really helpful!

Easily the best deal in town. They gave me both the best price, and the fastest turn around out of everyone else in town. PCI charges 100 more for the same job, and Computers Plus charges 70 more. These guys were polite and clearly knowledgeable about what they’re doing. Not to mention extremely accommodating to my schedule. Can’t recommend them enough.

Awesome guys, super nice and honest. They didn’t charge me to tell me what was going on with my custom build since they were able to diagnose the issue just by me describing the problem! My SSD was just super old and checking out, so decided to take my pc home to change the SSD myself. They told me if I could bring them an empty USB stick they’d give me a free copy of windows 10 which is a life saver since windows 10 install drives are often $99+! I asked if I could tip them for doing everything for free, but they said a review would be more helpful to them. Highly recommend them!

My hard drive on my MacBook was unfortunately beyond repair — they gave me the information on a place that could possibly help which meant a lot to me considering the 15-20TB or so that were on it was filled with irreplaceable memories from the past 10 years. They also put in a new HD for me, formatted and ready to go with the appropriate OS, and a total of TWO HUNDRED TB for me to hopefully fill with the next 10 years of memories. I was so pumped and at the time, 5 years ago I believe, I didn’t know 200TB existed! Especially for my MacBook so I know they gave me the best they could have at the time and that really meant a lot. I was looking them up today and saw that I could leave them a review so here you are guys and thanks again!

I met these guys through a game (Rust) I told them about my PC troubles so they had me install TeamViewer and fixed all my problems I was having on my 2070 Cyberpower PC. I took my computer to Chico Computer Clinic because it would not start. After ordering a part and finding that wasn’t the problem, Kyle gave me the news, it was history. It took me a few days to go by the shop and I was prepared to pay for all labor costs to confirm the death of my computer. No charge. I was surprised and questioned him if he was sure. He was.When I returned home I wanted to leave a review for him. Before I did, I read all off his reviews. Apparently, no charge is common practice with this business owner. Kyle is super great with Macs and saved several of my most important programs that another computer repair shop in town had lost. He got to work on the issue quickly, rather than taking a week just to run diagnostics like the other place and kept me informed of the process every step of the way. The other place charged a fortune, took at least 3 weeks to get my laptop fixed and then lost tons of info from some of my most used apps. Thats when I knew I shouldve gone to Kyle all along. Brought iMac in to just tune it up. My wife dropped it off with the keyboard and mouse, was told to take the keyboard and mouse home. Received call telling me it needed a new drive and it would cost $350, and I gave the go ahead. I got the computer home yesterday, and guess what, the keyboard and mouse will not work. I called the shop and was told thats weird, and I would have to bring it back. I live about 2 hours away, and this is very inconvenient, plus I asked why didnt they check to see if the unit was working right before sending it home, no answer other than this usually doesnt happen. I wanted to say it would never happen if you check it before sending home by using the keyboard and mouse that belongs to the unit, and not just your wired equipment. Super unhappy with this guy. I work at a hospital, and this is like me sending a patient home without medication after finding out what is wrong with them, what good does the visit do? I called the shop twice and each time I was told I would have to bring it back in, and they know I live a long way from Chico, no refund or price adjustment, nothing, not even an admission that if they would have used the original equipment before sending it home this would not have happened. Sorry they seem like nice people but once I finish with this transaction I will never use them again, and I would not recommend anyone to use this place.Follow up post, I want to say the people working at this facility are very nice, respectful, and knowledgeable. I was contacted by the store owner, a little later, and given a discount off of my bill, plus they fixed the problem right away. The discount helped offset the cost of fuel and time to drive back to Chico, and It was explained to me that the problem I had with my computer was very rare. I now understand why the shop does not need the mouse or the keyboard 99.9% of the time. I was very pleased with the response to my issue and I apologize for my harsh tone in the earlier post.

I took my laptop in for updates and repair. Ive used them once before and it was fine. But this time, after 3 days i went to pick it up i had them start it up to check it and make sure everything was cool. It was still just as slow and i had paid them $100. So they kept it and called me later to say they needed to replace the hard drive. So i had to wait some more and they charged me another $60. Wasnt impressed.

Service top of the line. We were having trouble getting my grandsons pc to connect to the internet. I took it to the Computer Clinic and the problem was quickly found to be the USB 3.0 Adapter wifi. One was recommended and we purchased it. However we still had problems and talked again to the tech. It was the drivers which he downloaded and gave it to us to install, which we did and all worked fine. I wanted to pay him for his service but he said no. GREAT service!

The guy there was SO COOL! I was super anxious, since Im a broke high school senior and I have about $20 to my name without loaning from my dad. Usually companies like this will try to milk cash out of you every way they can, but when I went in, the guy opened it up, said hed do my diagnostic for free, now Im waiting on the results. In a series of unfortunate events I dropped and cracked the screen of my iPad air 2 a few months after I received it as a gift. I considered it a lost until my co-worker referred me to Computer Clinic. So, I did my research and noticed they had pretty good reviews. There were other places that charged cheaper but I wanted to go with my gut instinct and the recommendation. The service was great and they seemed professional and knowledgeable about the repair, which put me at ease. I have to say I am very pleased with the repair.

I brought my laptop to get the charging port repaired back in December. But when I got it back I found that one of the hinges had broke and the corner of the back panel was cracked. It was a fast and cheap repair, but be aware that youre getting what you paid for.

If youre having a problem with your computer go to Chico Computer Clinic. These guys are great! If you need your computer repaired without spending an arm and a leg this is your place. The technicians are very honest and will only charge you for what needs to be fixed. They wont try to sell you a new computer or overcharge you. I had a wonderful experience here and will continue to go back for all my computer needs.

Chico Computer Clinic truly goes above and beyond the call of duty.Let me just start by saying that the owner, Kyle, is not only incredibly knowledgable and passionate, but he also seems to genuinely care about his clients.I reached out to Kyle about a custom built gaming PC via email and the amount of time he spent talking me through it, picking out the perfect parts, and answering my (many) questions was incredible. This Clinic by far has the best service, speed and price that exists in Chico. In the past 5 years I had taken computers to other (will not name) computer shops and there is not one that compares to this one. Ive had to pay $180 for a stupid virus removal that only cost me $79 at Chico Computer Clinic. My recent computer caught a huge virus which wiped out my operating system and all my files and within 24 hours I had that same computer back on my desk with an upgrade and much faster than before. I forgot what the owners name is but he is very courteous, respectful, understanding, and very professional. I definitely vouch for his business and will keep taking my computers in here from now on.

Ive never met such quality, hardworking gentlemen in my life. Jeremy regularly stays over to take customer service calls and Kyle (owner) stays up all hours of the night fixing computers to ensure all devices are returned in a timely manner to customers. The proof is in his store presence during late night hours when you might just sneak a peak at his work fixing water damaged motherboards (very labor intensive and specialized work) or retrieving precious family photos from crashed hard drives. While Im certain his wife and two new babies at home miss him, nobody can deny that Kyle ALWAYS puts his customers first. His dedication to quick turn around time and his customers satisfaction are simply unmatched.

The service industry when computers are involved is full of abyssal rifts and craggy mountain ranges. Most jobs that the Nerds and Geeks undertake charge a minimum of over $100 easy, hands down. Then there is usually more charges before the job is done.I used Nerds once, cost me over $200. The job was done well and in an ok time frame (over a week and a half), but the cost was too much. Same job done by Chico Computer Clinic would have been in the $75 dollar range and back to me in prob less than a few days.I have had Kyle at Chico Computer Clinic work on 3 separate machines, all desk tops. He managed to clean them all up and back in working order. When one machine started having issues again, he had me bring it back and refused to charge me for his time even thou I believe the issue was not with his service, but a hardware issue on my end. I used an RMA for the bad piece of hardware and had them mail it express. Kyle got right on it and got me back up and running in record time... faster than any Nerd has. And even thou the hardware was the issue, he still refused to take my money. I still gave him a substantial tip that President Grant would approve of. :-) Good service is hard to come by in my opinion and worth keeping around.All in all, 5 stars is the bare minimum that Kyle has earned from this 3 time satisfied customer, more stars are here if he wants them.I have two machines I am bringing back to him for a reformat and SSD install and the the other machine needs some serious trouble shooting, but I have confidence in Kyle and his know how.Travis S Sahr.
