I didn’t know whether to cry, scream or laugh hysterically 😖Chic Events Rentals was recommended to me by a very sympathetic and apologetic Pottery Barn manager. At first I didn’t think they could possibly have what I needed (in my head I had horrible visions of cheap folding metal and plastic tables and chairs 😩) But I was so wrong!!!After doing some research on line and then speaking to Ally Faurot and actually going to their showroom in Monterey, I was sold! Ally was so helpful! She was able to steer me in the right direction in picking out the perfect table and chairs for my event. Her recommendations were spot on and she is very knowledgeable about the products they have available.It’s so wonderful to have a showroom so close by to see, touch and feel the items that will be delivered to your home or venue.They also have very flexible delivery time frames. We recently used Chic Events in Monterey, Ca for my daughters wedding . They were very professional and accomadating. When they delivered the chairs, tables, heaters, etc they arrived early and set everything up. Their website is easy and there was always someone there to answer any questions I had before the event.They cane and picked up all the items we rented which were great as well. And we very kind and helpful. I definitely would use this company again for any event I was having and feel completely condidant and at ease knowing all will be taken care of. I believe that overall the rental worked out well. We rented multiple lava space heaters for thier aesthetic value. They are a pricier alternative. Two of the units did not function. They would fire but not stay lit. I brought this to the attention of Chic events staff, so at least they could fix the problem. I never heard anything more?

Your chairs were beautiful and just perfect for the visual of the design I had created. One note, the screws on the top right and left of the chair catch garments. I caught my clothing and it was mentioned to me by others. They are a bit rough or something and this is not good with formal attire. But overall -- wonderful thanks. I’ve had several events where I’ve used Chic over a span of 10 years. They’ve been consistently professional, consistently dependable, and consistently knowledgeable on what I’ll need. They anticipate my needs and make suggestions when I unknowingly ordered something without a coordinating part. If you want to have peace of mind and not wonder if your rentals are going to show up, look no further. Also, I want to add that their chairs are in good condition. Our country club let us use their chivari chairs for free once and they were so dinged up with stained cushions that I was embarrassed. Not the case with Chic. Everything has been clean and presentable. I can’t say enough good things about them.

Chic events was great for our wedding in the Redwoods. Viri was very responsive and quick to make the changes we wanted. The two men who set up our lights delivered quality, making sure each bulb was functioning and the lights were set in place. The heaters were very warm and high functioning. Having a wedding during a pandemic was stressful with all the constant changes and cancellation of things so we had to keep changing our order even at the last minute and Chic Event Rentals was right there making everything easy. The ordering process is straightforward and Andrea was very helpful and friendly. I needed to rent tablecloths for a funeral service and placed the order just a few days before the service, which was on a Saturday. They had what I needed and I was able to pick it up the day before the service. The tablecloths were good quality and perfect for what I needed.Here’s a tip for tablecloth sizing: the length indicates the length of the table, not the length of the tablecloth (which are longer than the table). I got 6ft and 8ft tablecloths, but really would have been fine with all 6ft tablecloths as the tables I was using them for were actually about 5ft and 7ft. I guess that’s common sense, but I was not in the right frame of mind (I mentioned this was for a funeral service) to think about how tablecloths are made.Also, it was a little confusing when picking up the items from the warehouse. There was a staging area for pickups, but nobody was around and there were no clear instructions about what to do. I felt weird just taking the stuff without checking in with anyone.

As we were trying to figure out cocktail tables that we could use for both our rehearsal dinner and wedding, Chic Event Rentals was very kind and always happily answered our questions pick-up, drop-off, pricing, and styles available. The representative also helped us figure out what pick-up/drop-off dates would give us the best pricing and meet our needs. As we were delayed due to the Paradise Fire smoke, pick-up could have been nightmare but the warehouse was easy to find, helpful in loading our car, and accommodating for our late pick-up. We rented from Chic for our wedding in Big Sur. Everything was so wonderful from their selection, to their staff, the prices, and the option to come to their showroom to see things in person and make final decisions. The order was delivered and picked up when promised. Our only issue was that an item we had ordered that served more of a decorative purpose rather than a functional purpose, was not recieved. When we arrived to the reception, we were disappointed it was not there, but no one knew it was supposed to be there and everything was fine without it. In the end, they made it right. Highly recommend using them for your event!
