10 years ago I was introduced to CharTec at a ConnectWise conference. Their session on marketing provided tangible information I could immediately implement. We attended the Marketing And Sales Lab and here I am 10 years later at Academy. Why? Because they know my business and again I walk away with real, tangible information I can use to propel my business forward.

I went to their academy here in California not really knowing what to expect, but I have to tell you it was amazing. I Spent 3 full days with the staff at CharTec and have never learned so much relevant stuff about my business in one place. Better then any other trade show i have been to. The Staff was amazing, the breakout sessions were awesome. I now feel like I have an advantage over my competitors. They hit all my pain points and could relate to exactly what was going on! I met the CEO awesome dude and knows his stuff. He actually lead a few of the breakouts on sales and really opened my mind up on what I need to start doing to convert to a full Managed Service practice. I hope to be back by the end of the year for more. I honestly do not think i could ever have enough of this!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!What I was sold and I received were very different. I was promised a partner that would help me with marketing. I received what is mostly a online self-learning tool that was too generic to be useful.I raised a repeated concern about the lack of a timely response to my voicemails and emails, and it received a response from the very person I had a grievance with. Then it was decided for me by CharTecs administration that my only recourse was to pay the early termination fee which is nearly 3 months of membership fees. This decision was made without the administration contacting me. I have been informed by the accounting department that my dispute was resolved in such a manner against me because I am only in my second month as a customer. That doesnt address the merits of grievance; it is just CharTec doing what is in their best interests. What kind of dispute resolution process is that? Why not attempt to address my concerns or dissolving the dispute without penalty for me since I am only in my second month as a member, so to be this unhappy couldnt there be something to my concerns? I guess we will never know.CharTec contacted me more to cross sell other services they offered than to train me or resolve my dispute. What a horrible way to run a business!! I encourage you to look elsewhere for a training program because if you are not happy with LinkedIn Learning, you are going to hate CharTecs imposter of a program***Update 09/11/20CharTec may have posted a response to this review that they would be willing to discuss the items I am unhappy about, but it was just a ploy by CharTec to appear reasonable to any other readers of the reviews. Five days after my attempt to reach out, and I have yet to get an appropriate response from CharTec. They continue to operate in bad faith.

CharTec has been the missing piece to our MSP business. The knowledge they provide from a successful MSP has been instrumental to growing our business. I recommend to anyone either just start out or have been running an IT business for years to join the CharTec family if you want to grow your business to success.

I signed an agreement with Chartec after being promised that they would be a partner that could guide me in every part of my new managed services business. Six months later I continue to pay the fees of this relationship however I have not seen any of the benefits that were promised.I was assured that Chartec would provide me with the capabilities to be my own marketing company. Part of what I was sold on for this services was a vast archive of marketing content would be available through their portal. Instead I found about ten videos, all with about the same unhelpful information. I have now had to engage a marketing consultant at an additional expense.I was promised an account manager that is knowledgeable about every aspect of my managed services business however each time I engage Chartec, I am answered by a different “account manager”. The account managers are really just a helpdesk with a shared number and distribution list with no real knowledge or insight into their partner’s business.This company seems more interested in selling their “partners” additional services and pushing their own hardware than actually providing them with benefits through the services that have been purchased. Before entering into any type of agreement with this company, ask to see extensive evidence of what you will actually receive!
