My treatment started within minutes of my scheduled time. The dental hygienist had gentle hands and good advice, backed up by Dr. Chaney when he checked my teeth himself. Future scheduling was prompt and adapted well to my schedule and those of my wife and son, whom Dr Cheney will seeing soon.

As someone who has anxiety when going to the dentist, my visit was hands down the best visit I have ever had at a dental office. Dr. Victor Chaney went above and beyond to help me feel calm throughout the entire visit, and explained everything he was doing, and why it was all important, thoroughly and clearly! I’ve been with Dr Victor Chaney for almost 40 years & he’s the best dentist I have ever had. Gentle, kind honest & caring. His son, Dr Alex joined his practice in the last few years & he’s a carbon copy of his Dad. They both have always been there for me, even in the middle of the night. They deserve at least a 10 & as far as dentists are concerned I’m not easy to please!

Im so grateful that they take such good care of my dad. He has a hard time getting into low dental chairs because of his hip replacement, and they always go above and beyond both to help him with his mobility issues and make sure he always gets the best possible dental care. I also appreciate that they meet him where he is at with his ability to care for himself. Hes getting older and its hard for him to floss and brush as well because of dexterity issues after his stroke, so theyve focused on preventive care things to help preserve his dental health to accommodate that.

I had not been able to go to the dentist for five years, and what a delight it was to be treated by Kristina and Dr. Alex Chaney! I had a small yet irritating chip in one of my back molars that Dr. Chaney filed down easily and efficiently. Kristina gave me the best tooth cleaning Ive had in my entire life - my teeth felt new without too much pain! Also, apparently one of my premolars is an anomaly? Point being, its nice to be tended to by fellow nerds who share a profound passion for hygiene and dentistry. Dr. Victor Chaneys fun machines add some color and vivacity to the office. Who says a visit to the dentist has to be a horrifying ordeal after all?

Ive been going here for dental work and maintenance for many years, first with Dr. Vic, and for the last few years with his son, Dr. Alex. Both doctors and entire staff are professional and friendly.This morning I came into the office to have Dr. Alex perform a root canal on a molar. After X-rays and nerve testing, instead of taking my money today, Dr. Alex said that I didnt need the root canal. He said somewhere down the line I might still need one, but not today. Instead of taking the money right now, Dr. Alex has once again proven to me why I love him as my dentist. I will continue to trust him with my dental health, and will encourage everyone I know to do the same.

Dr. Alex Chaney did a root canal on me today (as well as some fixing up of the neighboring teeth). Im still thoroughly embarrassed: during the root canal, I fell asleep and even started snoring. The only real pain I felt was the back of my head from lying on my braided hair for so long. But there was no part of the actual dental procedure that was at all painful for me.Everyone in this practice Ive dealt with so far has been just awesome. I wish I could give them more stars!

If you want good old fashion doctor/ patient treatment this is the place to get it. The staff is kind and competent. I just had a crown prep with absolutely no pain involved. I have been going to Dr. Alex Chaney for several years and have been impressed by his concern for my health and the fact that he is not always trying to sell me something as my prior dentist was. The office has the feel of old fashion dentistry but with up to date techniques and practices. I would recommend this dental practice to anyone.

While out of the country on vacation, my tooth crown unexpectedly popped off. Victor provided excellent advice over the phone on how to handle the situation and followed up with me a few days later to make sure I was ok. I was scheduled for an appointment immediately upon my return. Alex promptly examined me, found the cause and corrected the issue. When the new crown was ready, it was painlessly installed. I’ve always loved coming to Dr. Chaney’s office and especially having Diane clean my teeth as she’s been doing it for probably 40 years. Everyone in the office is friendly and superb. I only wish today I would have known they were out of network now because that would have changed what I had done. And I think a letter should have been sent out to everyone or email to notify people. A little upset about that.

I just LOVE this dental office. I was introduced to Dr. Victor Chaney in December of 1979, I have been a patient ever since. My children all grew up with Dr. Chaney. I go in every 6 months. I’ve had bad experiences with dentists and dental offices in the past.Recently, I had a dentist say I had 7!!!! Cavities. This didn’t make any sense because I take really good care of my teeth. Even though I hadn’t been to the dentist in a couple years, this didn’t seem right.So my dad recommended I get a second opinion from Alex. I’m glad I did! It turned out the x rays the last dentist took were not good, and that upon another set of x rays and a visual exam I had just 1 cavity!There’s a lot of BS in the dental industry, and you need a dentist you can trust to not over treat, and that’s why I’d recommend Alex.The other things I love about the office is the friendly helpful staff, decor and overall vibe. The best experience at the dentist office. I feel like most appointments are awkward and painful, but doctor Vic made me really comfortable. Told me he is in a band and plays on his free time which is pretty cool. It was over so fast because we were talking the whole time. Having visited two other Bay area dental clinics since moving here three years ago, I have finally settled on Chaney family dentistry. When I first visited the office, I was concerned about an open contact (gap) between two teeth. Dr Alex explained that he could do a filling if I wanted, but suggested that we wait and see for now, since there wasnt any decay and he didnt want to disrupt the enamel of a healthy tooth. The staff are fantastic, and Dr Vics rolling ball sculptures in the waiting room are a must-see. Highly recommended!

Visiting dentists was always one of the most dreaded activities for me. Dr Chaney, however, completely eliminated my fear. All staff members, the receptionists and doctors alike, were extremely personable and (most importantly in my opinion) GENTLE throughout the entire procedures (a few fillings and a root canal). During my visit, I received a thorough consulting not only on my treatment plan, but also on the estimated bills based on my insurance coverage. Like most, I go to the dentist with a bit of angst, however the moment I walk in to Dr. Chaneys office I am at ease. My last appointment was with Dr. Alex whom I had never seen before. He was very friendly, professional and personable. He listened to all of my concerns/comments and addressed them in the upmost caring manor (better yet, his explanations were patient friendly rather than robotic). I had neglected my teeth for years. The last time I visited a dentist was over four years ago and was guilty of irregular brushing and flossing. I decided to search for a Dentist that I could call my primary and begin a new regiment of taking care of my teeth.I found Doctor Alex Chaney and I was not disappointed.What impressed me first from the Chaney & Chaney Dentistry website was the link to the beautiful artwork by Doctor Alex and innovative creations by Doctor Victor, his father. It struck me that it would be brilliant to have a Dentist who was not only knowledgeable but also an Artist--for surely to obtain beautiful teeth would require the hands and eye of an artist so much as the knowledge of a doctor. It also appealed to me to be a patron of a family business.Doctor Alexs assistant Tamara was a delight from the moment I was called into the office. With her radiant smile and personality, she was able to put my feelings of unease aside. Very deftly and professionally, she obtained the required x-rays, in no time at all.Doctor Alex told me he prides himself on being unjudgmental and kind--as well he should--for he indeed personifies these traits. He is knowledgeable, patient, dapper and very interesting to talk to. A lot of my fears were dispelled and my treatment was not as bad as I envisioned, (one cavity.) What impressed me most was that Doctor Alex was able to clean and treat my cavity all in one sitting! There was no pain and I felt completely at ease with his confidant touch.I left feeling like I had accomplished a lot all in one day! I am grateful.Thank you Doctor Alex!

I had my first appointment here yesterday and I was super impressed. The Dentist spent at least an hour and a half with me really getting to know me on a personal level. He gave me my check up and then did my cleaning because he had an extra few minutes! Who does that? The folks in that office are the most caring, conscientious and loving people ever!! A piece of porcelain broke off my bridge just a few days before I had to leave on a three-week vacation. It was a Friday, the office was closed, and the coming Monday was Columbus Day, the office would be closed as well. I called anyway, and got emergency phone numbers for both Dr. Vic & Dr. Alex. I texted both of them and explained my situation. Not even 5 minutes later, Dr. Vic phoned me. He was taking taking one of his marathon walks! He told me he would be in the office on Monday morning and would see me then! No pain, no worries! Thank you Dr. Vic!!!

I’ve been with the Chaney family for ~20 years, first with Victor Chaney, and now with his son Alex, who are both realible and skilled. I have not had a healthcare office that is as friendly and personal at this one.Entrance is filled with prize winning electro-mechanical creations from Dr. Chaney. Worth a visit just to see them.

Amazing place . I have very bad anxiety and he worked with me and made my experience comfortable. I have stayed away from a dentist office for the past 4 yrs due to bad past experiences with other dentists but I’m beyond satisfied and happy to get a place like this where I can keep up with my teeth and cleaning and they have great people on their staff to ease my anxiety and work with me .
