Do your research for dealership comparison on parts and servicing. You should find their pricing is notably competitive. Certified Auto has been in business Forty-three years. Be mindful their prices could include additional fees. I paid two separate fees in addition to labor. One was a Core Fee. I was told by Ken it pertained to part disposal. Gene (the owner) explained further about the Core Fee. He stated it was a credit, the part provider normally refunds the auto shop. If the auto shop returns the old part to them. Gene explained, returned old parts could be used to rebuild the same/similar parts. I was not offered a starter rebuild. But, because I requested the replaced part. I incurred a Core Fee ($36). There is also a Hazard Fee on oil change/servicing. Valerie was extremely welcoming and helpful with questions. She explained their Hazard Fee is for clean-up and cloths, etc. as applied to oil change/servicing. Aside from those additional fees charged. I had been referred by AAA. The discount (I was told by Gene) is a $50 maximum. So, if the total of your service is $500 or over. Then you automatically receive the $50 credit. I received the fifty dollar AAA maximum credit They provided free shuttle and car wash. They have a small well maintained waiting area. Certified Automotive offers a three year warranty with specified mileage criteria. I would have given them five stars. But, the additional fees were a new experience.

If you have a problem with your car, BRING YOUR CAR HERE! Their service is friendly, makes you feel like family. Brought my car that broke down and they fixed it all up. Best of all, they are truly honest! They arent your usual mechanics. Really caring people!

I would give this place a 6/5 if I could. Their workers are always kind and helpful, their pricing is fair, and they always have my vehicle ready for me in a decent amount of time. I am married, working on my degree, and have a full time job so having a working car is very important and I can’t do without one for too long. When I take my car here, I know my car will be taken good care of. Would (and have) definitely recommend!

I cant say enough good things about this company! Excellent customer service and workmanship. A mechanic you can trust! We had a large repair come up and they kept us constanlty updated and aware of the situation. Timely, quality work, great customer service. They will even give you a local ride home for your convience. I trust them with all our family vehicles and our companys trucks. They have found and repaired issues that other mechanics were unable to resolve. HIGHLY RECOMEND!!!

3 Years ago Certified replaced 8 Fuel injectors with Rebuilt ones. We have gone 10,000 miles so far and now they are junk. According to our mechanic now the injectors that were put in our 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 Diesel Truck were the wrong ones and the copper rings were not removed when they slid the new rebuilt injectors in. We had soot built up and one of the tips to one of the injectors broke off when trying to take it out and now we have to take the head off. First of all, since we are out of warranty, we have no recourse to come back and have Certified Automotive to fix this but I can give them a poor review. The work was very poor and I do not recommend anyone using this company to have their autos and trucks serviced here. When the work was first done, there was whistling coming from the engine and we took it back and were told that it was due to the engine mounts. That was a lie. This company uses cheap product and the wrong parts. Or was it just us???? If this would have happened when we were pulling our trailer, we could be looking at putting a new engine in our truck. No good, Certified.

Very nice and courtesy staffs, this place is keeping tradition services. I really like this service. The store has the 80 era theme, but they keep up with the technology. I misplaced my smog check, a quick phone call, and I have a replacement. Another store might not be able to do the same. Watch for their couple email send to you now and then. Keep up your good work. Plan to go back there when I have car trouble. A good, trustworthy store.

Best customer service from a mechanic shop I’ve ever had! Ken was very up front and honest with me from the beginning. Along with my service, they performed a free multipoint inspection and sent the results to my phone via text. They didn’t pressure me to fix any of the things they found. They have a shuttle to take you back home and pick you up while your car is being serviced. Prices were great! Valuable coupons are available on their website. I will definitely be going back. The front office was amazing it was my first time going here and it will definitely not be the last! I had Jeff help me diagnose and get back to me with all the information I needed for my vehicle, he broke everything down and told me what needed to be fixed and what may need to be fixed for the future. They send you a text with a whole diagnostic of what they did and it included pictures and even pictures of the mechanic that worked on your vehicle! This place is very organized and super friendly cant wait to do business again

They picked me up in a courtesy car and drove me to their business to get my car. Jeff sent us pictures and breakdowns of the work needed and items.

My wife mentioned this place as a possible shop to get an alignment. She went there in the past before she knew me and was pretty happy with them. Ive worked as a mechanic for many years but cant do everything. I know the ins and outs of how corrupt the industry can be to a customer. Its the reason why I left auto repair in the 90s and dont trust anyone to work on my vehicles. This place was a pleasant surprise. As someone that had been in the industry I found this place to be very professional and courteous. They completed my complicated alignment in one day and charged what I thought was a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend them based on what I experienced.

I have been bringing my cars here for over the last decade. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Its hard to find a auto shop you can trust, and certified is the only one I trust.My father used to work on cars and is very knowledgeable about mechanics. He taught us a lot about cars and doing things yourself to learn. After time went by it got too time consuming for us to work on our vehicles at home and he went looking for a place where our entire family could bring our cars for repairs and checkups. For my dad to give certified that vote of approval shows how great this company is.They never try to push you into repairs or suggest things that are not in the best interest of your car. It is comfortable and easy talking with everyone and they explain things and an easy to understand manner.Also, ask for Jeff, he is the one I always work with.

My Tesla was towed to Certified Automotive Specialists at 1 am with a flat tire. I hadnt heard of this place before but it was recommended by AAA. And now I am recommending it! They were professional and thorough and provided great service. They fixed the tire (and rim) and communicated with me at every step. Watch your wallet! We have gone to Certified many times. At least two cars have been serviced there. The service is good. But beware; the price point is over the top! $154 hourly labor rate (which I was patiently told is the going rate, if not better than others). Battery replacement cost (labor ONLY) was $82 on a 2008 Chev Trailblazer. Crazy, I thought, but it was supposedly due to cars needing to have a memory connection to the new battery (my 2018 Chevrolet Silverado didnt have this issue when I swapped out the battery at an AutoZone; no charge BTW). I could have had the battery replaced for almost half the original price at Certified by going elsewhere (battery and install). Coincidentally, my Scion xB needed struts and shocks (according to Certified) which was scheduled for right after the battery replacement on the Trailblazer. Another shop said that they were probably fine (along with other recommended repairs). Okay, I said, but go ahead and replace them anyway. Less than $800 was the out the door price at the other place (OEM). Certified wanted $2,100 (roughly), but offered a $50 discount for being AAA member. Guess who I went with? Sorry, but even with AAA discounts and random coupons ($10 off, LOL) in the mail, Certified Automotive is only for those with BIG pockets. Ill be going elsewhere in the future.

What could of been a financial set back for us and a broken auto, turned into a fixed auto thanks to Jeff and his diligence and research that the part was under the warranty period and all parts and labor taken care of. Finally a repair facility that can be trusted and looking out for the customers best interest. As a woman I am always afraid of being ripped off. The Honda Dealership was a nightmare. Hard sell from the moment you walk in.Certified Auto Specialist is different. I was treated with respect. From the moment I walked in they were courteous and up front about everything. I love that you are sent a text with an attachment of the report. Took my semi-newly purchased 2018 Sienna for a strut replacement. We bought the van at a used dealer and, even if the report was a little spotty, we still purchased it because it was a steal at the price we got it at.Brought the van to another local dealer to get it inspected and they were able to spot some problem areas that the dealers mechanic did not find (or disclose). We also took it to the Toyota dealer to get an alignment and another inspection. The dealer noted that the struts needed to be replaced.This led us to CAS. Ken gave us a pretty decent quote for the job and even looked into our extended warranty to see if the job was covered (it was not unfortunately).They ended up doing a super thorough inspection where they found another problem (rotors) that the other 2 places missed. They even sent a text with pictures of what they found. (When I said thorough, I mean thorough.) I didnt feel the slightest amount of pressure to get this doneAt the end, they did a great job and they had a service special that saved me a good chunk of change. Also with the COVID-19 issue, they made me feel safe as they did their part in creating a safe environment for their customers.HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The team at Certified Automotive Specialists saved our holiday travels. 30 miles into an 800 mile road trip a piece of metal impaled our fuel tank and forced us to find a local auto shop. Luckily for us Certified Automotive Specialists was only 3 miles from our exit on the 210. We showed up at 7AM before they were open and they let us in and began examining the vehicle. Within a couple hours they were able to source a new fuel tank and then had it installed by lunchtime. The cost was very reasonable and ended up being lower than my insurance deductible. Every staff member was courteous and helpful throughout our visit. If we lived closer we would have all of our vehicles serviced here.

If I could give zero stars about this place I would. I looked up Auto Mechanic in Glendora online and saw that they had 4.9 stars so I made a decision to go with them. We had used Michaels Auto for over 15 years because of his integrity and value. Unfortunately Michael is not there anymore and so has the Character diminished. Certified Auto has proven to be the same. I brought my 1997 Subaru Legacy in the have work done for a sputtering engine since other Shops were not able to diagnose or fix the problem. Certified Auto directed me to Ken which would charge me an initial $280 to only diagnose my problem. I dropped off my car on a Wednesday and they were not even able to look at it until the next Tuesday. After being out of a car for almost a week at this point Ken called me back and said the I need a mass air flow sensor and a timing belt replaced, which would cost me an additional $2,500! The car is not even worth that much and that price for that amount of work is absolutely absurd. I decided to go along with the $600 to replace the mass air flow sensor which online priced is less that $180 and takes 5 minutes to replace. Ken called me back and said that it was not enough to fix the problem and continued to try and gouge me on the $2,500 to do the timing belt which he still didnt even know if that was the problem. In the meantime I called other mechanics for timing belt replacement costs for this specific car and they quoted me $380! I decided to come pick up my car and go with another Mechanic which is currently fixing the real problem with the car. When I came to pick up my car which has been over a week now Certified Auto not only didnt fix my car, but kept it over a week, didnt properly diagnose the problem and still charged me over $180 for nothing but aggravation and frustration. Not sure how they are still in business and I am only writing this review to reveal who they are and what kind of character they really have. I feel sorry for all those who have fell victim to this type of business and hope that this message reaches future weary customers of such a poor Auto shop.

Outstanding people with fantastic customer service and professionalism! I recently was on my way from Northern California to San Diego to move my daughter to college when my Volvo had an issue over the Grapevine. I made my way along the freeway until it just wouldnt stay running. I called AAA and they recommended having it towed to Certified Automotive Specialist. My wife, daughter and I were in somewhat of a panic not knowing the area and having a broken down car filled with everything my daughter needed to move into the dorms. Alan Graner and guys at CAS not only made us feel better about our situation but reassured us they would get the car fixed and find us a rental car to get our daughter to San Diego with all of her gear. The owner Gene, stayed after hours and helped me load every item that we had into his personal vehicle and he transported us to the rental car agency where there he helped unload and then load everything back into the rental car.The next day, as promised, the car was repaired perfectly and with added detail all the fluids and engine parts were checked to make sure my return home would be problem free. To my delight the car was even hand washed when I picked it up.I am a business owner myself and I strive for this type of customer service in my business. I can highly recommend Certified Automotive Specialist and I know that they are in business for the right reasons, they are in business to help people.

She asked what kind of car and put me on hold as a tech and then says no but we have some thing next week. Unable to get an appointment for oil change for over a month. What I really believe is they put out coupons that they do not want to honor. It’s easy, don’t give out coupons if you don’t want to honor them.

I wouldnt think of taking my car to any else. Ive been to some places where they try to talk you into paying for a large list of added on repairs that may not be needed. Thats never happened at Certified Auto. I went in for my regular oil change and asked them to check for other repairs that I might need and I received a list of upcoming issues with a estimated cost for each individual item; so we can go down the list and check them off one at a time. Now I can better budget for my cars care.

True caring is the manner in which I would describe CAS. I visited this automotive repair shop for the first time and was really well pleased with initially the customer service primarily for the attention I received. So very different and so much less corporate than when I have gone to a dealer. Mind you I have had good experience at the dealer repair place too, but compared to this service the dealer service seemed staged as opposed to CAS which felt caring. A very welcoming environment.

I took my car to Certified today due to a noise when I would apply my brakes. Not only did they perform a full inspection of my car (interior, under hood, under car, tires & brakes) at NO COST, but after researching the issue with my brakes told me I had at least 50% left on my pads. The noise must have been a rock or piece of metal that ended up in one of the calipers/pads as they couldn’t recreate the noise.What impressed me most were the following: honesty (they could have told me I needed a complete brake job), a full inspection at no cost, no pressure to do a million services to my car, and their friendliness/customer service. I’ve been to a lot of auto service centers in my life and I just added Certified Automotive Specialists to my short list.

Gene Morrill has created just such a automotive service and repair shop in Glendora, Certified Automotive Specialist. I can always depend on Alan and Jeff the Services Consultants at CAS to repair and give me the straight up objectives and cost for the service and repair of my car. The service technicians always go one step further when my car is in the shop and make her feel like a new car with the little tweaks and tuning they do while they are inspecting and repairing my car. I drive an older vehicle and CAS has always gone 110% to make sure the cost of my repair was reasonable and fair. Very good at diagnostics and honest in repairs to be done. Not the type of auto repair that you go in for an oil change and you walk out with a lot of unanticipated repairs, although they will give recommendstions but will explain it a level of importance either immediate repair needed or can wait will eventually need to be done. I trust they will not rip you off.
