It has been such a great experience working with your office. My children love the care they receive and everything is always explained with such care. Will definitely be returning back for future treatments with our younger children if they ever need braces. The experience with the front of the office and back of the office has been exceptional.

Dr. Specht at Central Coast Orthodontics was fantastic! He is very knowledgeable and answered all my questions thoroughly, taking his time to discuss my daughters treatment plan in detail. The office itself is very clean and modern, staff is extremely friendly and efficient!Overall, I would highly recommend Central Coast Orthodontics to anyone looking for an orthodontist. They made what can sometimes be an intimidating experience very positive.

The office set up is very welcoming. It is not like a regular dentist office with rooms. Its all wide open. The staff and doctor are super nice. There technology they use is very high tech. Very impressed with everything. I am absolutely going to recommend this orthodontics to all my friends and family.

Dr. Specht Came highly recommended by a dear family friend as well as our child’s dentist. Everything, beginning with the call to schedule our appointment, was easy. Staff both by phone and in person were welcoming and friendly. Gabby helped our child feel at ease. Dr. Spect spent time going over his recommendations and seemed thorough in his assessment of our child’s needs.

Dr Specht is an AMAZING orthodontist. The staff is very friendly and professional. The process was lengthy but super smooth considering the amount of work my son needed. The end result and boost of confidence in my sons smile was worth every penny. The office offers payment plans so that helps make the procedures affordable. Overall a great experience!!!A few years later and now 2/14/24 my second oldest child will be starting her braces treatment. Thats how much we love Dr Specks and his team work!

The first thing I noticed was how beautiful the office was. It was very clean and organized. The receptionist were very friendly and polite. They helped me get checked in quickly. I received an office tour by Kara, who is amazing. She answered all my questions, very professional and put my nerves at ease. Dr. Specht went over my treatment options. Really nice and polite staff. I was NOT HAPPY with end result. My daughters teeth look like she has an overbite. At first I thought they look like that because of the braces, but no. After they removed the braces and brackets they still look like they have an overbite. Im just UPSET and SAD because I dont love her smile.and it was really expensive. I was really excited for her to go here because of all the great reviews. Im just not happy with results.

I didnt really have any expectations but when I first time walked in I was actually pretty surprised how comforting they welcome me in. I felt very comfortable around the staff and other orthodontists. The service there is amazing, it doesnt take long for my appointments, and its a lot more professional compare to how I serve my customers in a sushi restaurant. The people there definitely knew what theyre doing. They treat me more than a patient, its like I see a love of what they do in their jobs. I recommend Central Coast Orthodontics! Its great guys :).

As soon as I walked in the staff were very welcoming! After being called in I received a small tour and was able to relax when I saw pictures all over the walls of happy partients after their treatments which made me feel like I finally came to a trustworthy Dentist. The entire staff is amazing! There is a very organized and professional work ethic to help us all safe and healthy and yet get our orthodontic work complete. The communication is obviously well thought out: getting text messages to emails to remind you of your appointment and what to expect when you arrive at the building to be checked in for your appointment. This office has been well trained to comply with COVID-19 regulations and they do it in a cheerful happy way!

I have been bringing my son Robert here for well over 3 years and now my daughter is getting her invisalign. and I have a few more that are going to need braces, but no fear or hesitation I know my kids will be well taken care of at Dr Spechts. Everyone we have talked to or interacted with has been really nice and help full except for the girl who did my daughters imaging today. I was confused about something and questioned her and she seemed to get upset about me asking questions, called another sweet lady who was helping her out and still seemed to be visibly mad or upset. The lady who helped us out was very sweet and understanding while the other one just walked away mad. She could have been having a bad day so I’m not going to completely judge this place off of this one interaction but she should learn some better customer service. Especially to parents of young children.

Dr. Spect gave us alternative treatments that other offices did not, specifically a device instead of head gear which my child wouldnt have used. Great customer service and office staff. Usually no (or a very short) wait in the office and this is important to me as a busy mom. My daughter really likes to earn her points and rewards at each visit. We are almost done creating a beautiful smile!

Update: After my review, Dr. Specht reached out and we had a very nice conversation.He was very empathetic, understood my frustrations, and apologized. He said he would take this as a learning experience for his business and staff, and would only try to improve from it. He does not want it to be repeated. I truly believe he meant it and that he cares about his business. I appreciate him reaching out and trying to solve a problem.While Dr. Specht is friendly and knowledgeable, I think the business has grown too large in order to deliver the best service. Before my daughter received ortho work, we were debating over braces and Invisalign. A previous ortho recommended braces in her case. However, Dr. Specht said he could do Invisalign and if for some reason it didn’t work he would switch it over to braces. Since my daughter was a soccer player, we said great! About a quarter to half way through, one of the dentists switched our treatment plan to make room for an implant. This was done without any communication to me. I was upset, and Dr. Specht was apologetic bc it was not communicated to me. He then explained his reasoning for the change and thus we moved on. As time went on, one of the dentists said we need to put braces on her to finish the movement because the Invisalign wasn’t doing it. It would take about four months and that we are OVER THE amount of time according to the treatment plan. That it was going to cost me $500. I said okay on the braces, but I would not pay the extra $500 bc that was not our agreement. He told me to go back and read my contract. So, I had to take it up with Dr. Specht, and from that point on he said to ONLY see him. (Difficult to do when he is not always in.) Fast forward, braces came off. My daughter wanted to bleach her teeth. This had to be done before the implant so the teeth color would match. This was expressed to Dr. Specht and it was no problem. He said they would give her a temporary retainer and to come back when she was done. Well the bleaching took longer and the oral surgeon thought she was too young to do an implant, thus refused. So our talented dentist created this somewhat “temporary permanent crown” that looks like a real tooth. (It really is impressive.) When we returned, we had to buy another retainer. Once again, not communicated. Again, while Dr. Specht and some of the workers are friendly, the communication was terrible as time went on. Make sure you read the notes that they input in their computer bc they are not always accurate or clear. The last phone conversation I had with one person was not the same message that was left on my phone by another person. The message said the retainer was ready for pick up and to call to make an appointment. I called, and was then told they won’t make her retainer until we pay for it. This was AFTER we were told it was already made. So, I was instructed to have her call to make an appointment. (She’s over 18 now.) I said I would send her with the FLEX card to pay, even though I shouldn’t have to. But my daughter needs a retainer. Well my daughter calls to make an appointment, and was told they WON’T make an appointment or make her retainer UNTIL she pays! I paid for the ortho work UPFRONT. I would not recommend doing that. If for some reason you are not happy with the service, you can’t really switch without losing that money. Dr . Specht is knowledgeable but there are too many hands in the pot now that his business has expanded. This has created some miscommunication, no communication, manipulation, gas lighting, and possibly some dishonesty going on.

We came in for our initial exam for my son and liked the office right away! Everyone was friendly and my son felt welcomed and comfortable. After the consultation, we decided this is the office we would like to use for orthodontic care for our son. We came back for the digital scan and are eagerly awaiting his Invisalign aligners that will be coming in soon! We look forward to spending the next 18 months getting to know the staff as they continue to work with us. Thank you for a warm and welcoming start!

I have 4 children and all have needed braces. One needs 2 phases, the others only one. We went to this office because my first child (mind you it was years ago) had an awesome experience here. In the last 2 years, my other 2 have had braces put on in this office. The customer service is horrific! They never call when they say they will, the material they use for retainers are cheap and they can never schedule an appointment when needed. My son, who wears a retainer at night only, has broken it 3 times and only had it for less than a month! They have given me the run around for 3 weeks for a retainer i rush ordered and finally told me they werent going to do it after i have called 2 times a week for the last 3 weeks and paid for it! My youngest is ready for phase 2 and i am extremely happy I decided to take him somewhere else. This is definitely a place I wont be recommending to any of my friends who ask where to go.

Central Coast Orthodonics is great. First impression was that the place was so clean and welcoming. We took a tour around the office on our first visit and were introduced to the staff. We talked about what our initial goal was with the treatment. It was an easy decision on this office after searching a few places. My daughter is now close to being done on her treatment with braces and we are very impressed on both doctors who are very detailed with their work. My daughter can be picky and the doctors focused on small details that she was concerned about to ensure that her smile was great. The receptionist, Gaby, was helpful when it came to scheduling appointments around our busy schedule. I felt comfortable with letting my daughter in on her own and working all of that out with the help of the receptionist. Great place over all. Definitely recommended.

Each time I come in for my appointments I am promptly greeted. I am signed in by the front desk staff and wait less than 10 minutes to see the dental assistant or see the Dentist. The staff is friendly. The appointments are quick. My kids get so excited to go due to the fact they get to choose which ice cream they want after each appointment. When starting treatment certain times of the year they give out amazing prizes. Currently they are giving away a car for referrals. Both orthodontists are wonderful.

My daughter and I are patients there. We get great customer service not just at the front desk with the girls (which I want to add they know both my name and my daughters) but also when we are getting our work done inside. Everyone there is VERY friendly and when I go, I have a blast talking to all of them. Those girls are like those friends you dont see everyday, but when you see them, you talk about everything! Both orthodontist Dr. Specht and Dr. Barrett are amazing too. They always asks how everything is going and if I have any concerns. Its rare you walk into a place and think, wow I would love to work here. Thats the friendly, fun and exciting atmosphere they give off! When you walk in youre greeted right away by beautiful, happy smiling faces. They walk you through checking in and you have a seat. The wait time is always short and they are always well staffed! All of this isnt even my favorite part...What is so cool about this place are the incentives they give children to stay up on the things they are supposed to do.. they have an app called the Hub that the kids can accrue points on when they do certain things, like: as on report card, cleanings at the dentist, coming to appointments, etc. my daughter has never been so excited to keep her teeth clean but now knowing those points turn into gift cards when she wants to turn them in... Ive scene a difference. Such a great way to get kids on board with all of this (because she wasnt very excited).Another awesome touch is the ice cream at the end. It isnt really about the ice cream per se to me but the excitement that theyre getting a special treat and keeping these appointments upbeat and positive. My daughter feels like its a special treat to walk into CCO and I hope this leads her to keep having a healthy and positive attitude when it comes to the dentist office.I havent even gotten to the actual medical stuff yet.. we have talk to other orthos that just kept telling me to wait.. wait.. wait. But the difference with Central Coast Ortho and the other offices are the depth of the initial consultation. Central Coast Ortho took pictures of my daughters profile, they took x rays and did a full exam. They were able to see some concerning issues that are not just cosmetic and could affect the future of her permanent front teeth. If I kept waiting and didnt get the consult from CCO I could very much be dealing with a much scarier issue when my daughter got older.They presented me with all my options for her age.. they offer in house payment plans which make this journey a lot more feasible and they often have a monthly giveaway when you start up (my daughter got an iPad!- but this changes monthly)If youre on the fence about what you should do with a child- or your own because they have adult patients too, I suggest going in and just talking to them. The first consult is free and you really have nothing to lose.

I was a patient when I had orthodontic treatment a few years ago and when it came time for my son to undergo orthodontic treatment, I had no doubt where I was going to take him. Visits are always pleasant, treatments are progressive and results are amazing. I am confident and trusting in the staff and Orthodontists in this office, they really put their patients first. I would refer them to anyone! And who doesnt like ice cream after every visit?!

I came to see Dr. Specht for removal of an old permanent retainer and replacing it with a removable one. The entire experience was great--from calling to schedule, to being greeted when I walked in the office--everyone I encountered was friendly. Kara helped remove the retainer and the process was quick and painless. Dr. Specht was extremely personable and made me feel like I was the only person in the office (even though there were a myriad of other patients in the treatment area). The visit was quick, efficient, accomplished my goal, and didnt break the bank. I would recommend this practice to anyone in need of orthodontic work.

Military beware! We were told at our consultation about the upfront and total estimated costs, and they explained that we would receive part of our money back if/when we were transferred to our new duty station. That time came and we couldnt even get anyone to call us back, let alone return any money due. Its a shame because the staff and experience leading up to this had been good. Now we have to pick up again and pay twice over for part of our service...

I wasnt satisfied today. I was trying to make it to my daughters appointment and was running a lil late. Called to let them know that I was on my way. Spoke to Nallely which wasnt much help. She told me that I wasnt going to be able to be seen even if I arrived. That I would still be reschedule. I am very unhappy because I had to get time off to go to this appointment. Braces arent cheap and I feel that they should atleast allow you to be atleast 10 min late due to life does happen and some of us work. I hope Nallely is more considerate and understanding next time for someone else.

My daughter who was VERY scared and skeptical about getting braces but they put all her worries to rest and she LOVES the free ice cream after (what kid wouldnt). My coworkers and I visited Central Coast Orthodontics a few months ago. I had already been in contact with one of their employees. From the moment I met Elizabeth we literally just clicked... as soon as we parked and walked into the buiding Elizabeth had already been waiting for us outside. She welcomed us with open arms and the look on my coworkers face was as if theyve known her for years. As soon as you walk into their office everyone is so welcoming and always asking if you need anything. Dr Spect himself is just all around awesome!
