I’ve been bringing my 2005 diesel pick up here since I bought it new. Matt and Israel are the greatest-they listen, they answer your questions, and they provide full service for all my vehicle needs. I also bought my truck batteries and tires from them. They will not disappoint you and they will fix your vehicle in a timely manner at a reasonable price. I’m a very satisfied customer!

Had a sudden loss of power in my 25 year old diesel truck while rolling down the 680. Towed it to Central overnight and at first glance it seemed like a lost cause. But they were able to pull a rabbit out of their hat for me and Im back on the road and rolling like a champ again in less than 24 hrs. Really great service and especially as an out-of-towner to be treated so well really speaks to the superior character of the folks at Central Automotive. I hope I never break down in the Bay area again but, if I do, I know for sure Ill be calling on Central Automotive to save the day. Central Automotive Is Located At 1425 Auto Center Drive In Walnut Creek California. The Shop set to your left between other shops on Auto Center Drive. Youll see their sign on the building. This was my first time bringing my vehicle to this Service Center, Matt Was Very Knowledgeable, and Very Considerate. He even offered me water because the weather was pretty warm outside.He explained what the process would be servicing my Vehicle and what the estimated cost would be. He let me know that they would send me texted messages keeping me informed should they find anything that needed to be addressed. After my car was serviced he showed me the print out of what was done and what could possibly be needed in the future. If it didnt need Attention right then He let me know. Thank the Lord that there are still honest Service Centers out there. God willing if you are looking for honest and reliable Mechanics to service your vehicle, This Place is it. No Hype! This is the best auto service in the area! I compared multiple places in this area and this place has the best price and is extremely efficient and organized. Matt is excellent and very knowledgeable. Many customers seem to stay with them for a long time. I only did routine services and minor repairs here, but they told me that they built some slack in the schedule to accommodate customers with emergencies every day.

By far the best auto service I have ever received. I dont know much about cars and they did not take advantage of that at all (most of the autoshops Ive been to in the past have).I like their process of listing everything out along with recommendations and categorizing what needs to be taken care of right away, what should be monitored, and what could wait until later. They were super friendly, and patient with my five million phone calls and questions. They also repaired my car super quick - I had it towed there mid-day Monday and it was fixed Thursday afternoon! Will definitely be returning to them if my car needs servicing in the future!

Very professional and very patient in explaining everything becauseMatt really wants you to understand what is causing the issue and clarify why theservice suggested is the correct remedy. I took the car in because the brakes soundedweird . In the inspection, they also advised new tires. Matt was very helpful in deciding onwhich replacement tires without really knowing if I would have him do it or take it somewhere else.We spent 2 phone calls on the tires.Additionally, Matt stuck to the time table of when the work would be finished .The fact that his service guys have been there for many years, also reflects backon Matt as the manager and they way he handles his service to customers..Totally recommend !

I brought my 2019 Yukon XL for a 30K service. Matt was able to walk me through what that entailed and got me scheduled. The techs did a great job; found a leak that I need to see the dealership about because its likely covered under warranty. I felt like I got a great value: oil change, inspection, tire rotation...all for about the same price as Id pay for just the oil to be changed at an oil change only place.I recommend this place for those who dont want to be tied down to only get service from a dealership. Will see these people again for sure.

I had run over some debris on the highway that did some damage to the liner and fog light of my right front tire. Central Automotive got me in quickly and Matt was very transparent and thorough in explaining all the parts that needed repair and what was necessary for safety/what could wait a little longer to repair. They also did a thorough multi-point inspection and I really appreciated the pictures that were included so I could see just what they were talking about. Matt made sure to call me first before they did any work and quoted me the full price of parts, labor and taxes so I knew exactly what I would be paying. I was very satisfied with the repair they did and replacing my car’s battery and would certainly recommend them without hesitation.

While the whole service team was amazing, Matt was exceptional. He was accommodating, patient, understanding, and very helpful. He walked through every little detail with me, and answered all of my questions patiently and honestly. He went above and beyond to do extra research about parts on my car that didnt need to be fixed immediately, in order to save me some money. My cars safety and performance were a priority for him, but it felt as if he really cared about me as the customer, as well. He was very thorough and informative, and made sure that everything was good to go before allowing me to come pick up my car. I wont bring my cars to anyone else. The owners live locally and are very trustworthy. I have tried other shops but always feel Im being sold on fixes that are not necessary. At Central Automotive, my wife can go in and I dont worry about her being taken advantage of.The latest repair was a difficult one but they found the issue and provided a quote quickly. Central automotive was so amazing in such an uncertain time. I needed new brakes and an oil change, Matt was so friendly on the phone and explained everything to me clearly and efficiently. I booked an appointment for the next day. Due to the current Shelter in Place orders and covid 19 situation, his main concern was for his employees, which I loved. We decided that I would drop my car off after hours and I could pick it up by end of the next day, after hours and his staff had gone home. He also disinfected the inside of my car prior to my pick up.All this, plus he kept me informed throughout the day on the progress. The work was done so well, my car is running great. Theres a spring special going on, too, so while the services are very fairly priced, the discount was nice to have. Ill definitely be going back.

This is the best auto repair/service center in town! I have been taking my car typically to the dealership or a service chain in town, but never really felt great about the level of service I received. I made an appointment a few weeks ago too bring my car on Presidents Day because I was off of work that day and trying to squeeze in as many errands as I could. I made a 9am appointment and was told that my service would take about an hour and a half. Matt, the owner, asked me to send in a photo of the VIN plate on my door jam ahead of time in order to better prepare for my appointment. When I arrived, I was greeted immediately by Matt and he quickly checked the mileage on my car. Matt explained everything that they would be doing and checking on my car, including a road test, and asked if there was anything I wanted particular attention paid to. Even though the office/waiting room was very clean and orderly, I opted to take a walk while I waited. Just over an hour after I left, Matt gave me a call letting me know that they were all done. Theres nothing more important to me than punctuality, especially when its over delivery of what was stated. Matt walked me through the entire inspection of my car, especially the 3 recommendations that his technician was making for the future. I was showed photo evidence of what was found also! It was such a refreshing feeling to not feel pressured into doing anything unnecessary at a repair shop. In fact, it felt like Matt and his team were actually advocating for me. It was clear that they valued earning a customer for life, and they have. Ive already told several family and friends about Central Automotive and the awesome experience that I had. The best part was I paid far less than I ever pay at the dealership and even less than I have paid at the national chain shop. I cant say enough about the customer service, vehicle service and value that I received yesterday. Thanks guys!

Going into an auto shop after your car breaks down on your own when you have no idea what you are doing is nerve-racking. Everyone here was kind, patient, informative and trustworthy! A google user,The car is a 2009 VW diesel Jetta - yes the very same that has been identified as able to cheat the smog test, nevertheless I have had the car to a VW dealer several times and each time found their service unsatisfactory. .Id heard good things about Rob Services Central Automotive Service Center from a lifelong old car friend and referred a friend with a 1930 Packard Model 745 roadster, 38 Packard Twelve victoria and others among his menagerie. Rob and his merry men got both those cars back up to snuff and also cared for my 47 Packard Super Clipper. Many of us with prewar (pre War II, not Vietnam) cars with original drivetrains like knowing theres a savvy, can do team like Central Automotive conversant with such antiquities as drum brakes, carburetors.Central Automotive takes the same care with daily transportation/commute vehicles, as they do with collector cars however humble or august. While no one could accuse them of running a charitable institution, these are gentlemen and scholars who know what theyre doing and wont leave you hanging. A+
