Lovely food, solid service and a nice cozy place. Whats not to like? Pasta, Pizza, Wine - everything was thoroughly enjoyable. And we had a great server, who made it all, a little bit more special.

Wow, what an incredible find! Ive been living in Los Gatos for quite some time now and thought Id tried every restaurant in town, but somehow I missed this gem!The service here is top-notch—fast, efficient, and super friendly. And lets talk about the food—absolutely fantastic! We kicked things off with the antipasto platter, which was loaded with deliciousness. Then we dove into two pasta dishes: the classic bolognese and the cheesy truffle pasta. Both were out of this world!And dont even get me started on dessert. We indulged in the americano and tiramisu, and let me tell you, that tiramisu was hands down the best Ive ever had. Bravo to the chef!Ill definitely be coming back for more!

Food was delicious, but overpriced considering the small portions. Service was solid, atmosphere was great, presentation was excellent as well. That being said, I can find similar quality food at a much more affordable price, so I probably wouldnt go out of my way to return.

Don’t go any further, you’ve arrived at one of the best Italian restaurants in the area. While some of the restaurants we either closed at 7:00pm or very slow, this one was buzzing with customers. It took some time to get seated, and boy was it worth the wait. They went out of their way to accommodate us with a great outdoor space, amazing team service. Despite how extremely busy they were, they still smiled, were attentive and quick. Just before closing they had a group of sixteen guests without reservation and they were welcomed in. The food was delicious, well priced and we liked it so much that we went back two days later for lunch.

Hard to find a place with really good food, really good ambiance and really good service (thanks Casey). We have been here a few times, but always forget to come back bc it’s on the other side of Los Gatos. Last night we came here bc we were in the mood for Italian and it was definitely a good choice.It was a nice night, so we sat outside. They have a nice patio with lots of heaters. Our server was Casey and he was so nice, so knowledgeable and very attentive. At one point, he brought us extra bread bc we were waiting too long for our entrees, but honestly the hubby and I were just really emersed in great convo that we didn’t even notice. The first batch of bread is $4 but so very worth it.We each started with a cocktail and dove right into the special app which was burrata with figs. We then corked a bottle of wine which was $25 (average) and then had our entrees. The hubby ordered Casarecce Arrabiata and I had the Rigatoni Stacchino; both were DELISH! Afterwards we each had dessert which consisted of two scoops of ice cream. Total for the bill post tax but pre tip was about $140. We didn’t order it this time, but their pizzas are also VERY good. If you can’t decide, just order it as an app and share.Side note, most of the servers make their own drinks at the bar so thank you Casey for being a great bartender AND server. You are awesome.Parking is easy. There’s plenty of smaller lots and side street parking.Can’t wait to go back.

They are still killing it! The pasta is AMAZING. It is worth going here alone just to focus in the food. They switch up the menu to make it all the more worth coming back for the new dishes.They have fresh warm bread, heavenly dishes, and great service.They have indoor outdoor seating. The waiter was so great about getting us the perfect bottle of wine to compliment our pasta. It was a great experice.

I recently dined at Centonove and it was an exceptional experience.The Prosciutto E Melone appetizer was a delightful blend of flavors and textures, paired perfectly with honey and pine nuts.For the main course, the Tagliatelle Bolognese was savory and satisfying, but the Fiocchi di Pera was the star of the evening. The combination of pear and asiago in a gorgonzola cream sauce was masterfully executed and wonderfully balanced.Accompanied by the Italian 75 cocktail, the meal was an extraordinary treat that satisfied both taste and aesthetics.Centonove is definitely a must-visit for anyone seeking an elevated dining experience without the pretension.

Cozy pizzeria on Main Street. Not as busy as other places in downtown, so food comes relatively quick. Our waiter greeted us and waited patiently as we looked through the menu, even helping us whenever confusion arose. Wish the condiments that come with the breadsticks were separated, though, since the balsamic vinegar tends to mix with the olive oil after enough dips. Other than that, the food was amazing; we ordered two pasts and one pizza for a group of 4 and lift feeling full with some leftovers.

Pizza calabria was really good- sausage has a nice taste. Peppers on it have a nice, sweet tinge. Tagiatelle was also really good. Fresh bread is hot. Balsamic is sweet.In terms of service, Nate was very friendly and attentive. Thanks for getting us in right before closing.

Although I am only giving 3 stars, I do have to explain why. We went there on a Sunday around 2 for lunch, and they only had a few things left. One of the things they had was the ham and cheese croissant. It was descent but not great. I would have liked some dressing and pickles...The service was on the slower end but still helpful.I would have liked more food options but I guess we came too late. .

Very rude behavior by one of the waiters to a PAYING customer. 1 star. Stay away if you have kids. Here is a hint Dont talk to me laudly from a few tables away. Rushing us of a table because our kid couldnt wait to eat.As can be seen from my 100s of reviews, I dont give 1 star reviews lightly or often. Given there are lots of other good establishments here in Los Gatos, I recommend you also take your business to one of those.My original review below...5 starsSuch a surprise treat. The waiter was very unaccommodating. We asked for extra mozzarella and he insisted there was extra when clearly there was very little to none. Unfriendly and forgetful. We had to ask twice to see the dessert menu. We asked for a side of spaghetti and he brought fettuccine.We’ll never go back and never recommend to others.

Shelly was amazing and helped accommodate a last minute request for 5 chairs (since we also had an infant with us who wasn’t initially part of headcount). She also surprised us with a birthday cake slice and tiramisu for 2 birthdays without charge once we told her that it was the toddler and his dad’s birthday. And she was proactive about making sure the toddler’s food came out at the same time as the appetizer. Amazing experience.

Nice place, good service but not the most engaging staff. Pizza was great, food was good, bread was fresh and tasted great. Seats a little close and it seemed that the chef was not on top of things as the salad had vegetables which were not suppose to be there, suggesting dirty knife was being used. To add to it, chef did not come out to address the issue either. The entree was dropped from the bill without us asking. Restaurant does not have parking for it, little walk is needed depending on where you find parking. Unisex restroom.

Terrific restaurant! Weve been here 3 times and its consistently great: the food, service and prices.Some standout dishes are the mushroom pizza (they use very fresh and flavorful mushrooms!), seafood linguini, penne with boar and the branzino. Oh, and the house bread with olive oil is incredible. These guys know what theyre doing.

Centonove “translated” 109 is the address of this Italian restaurant.This is a small intimate place with very personable employees and have a willingness to do what ever it takes (within reason) to make your dining experience a good one. Our waitress actually told me, if we have the ingredients we will try to accommodate you. You know what? I believe her.We we’re served what looked to be homemade bread, sliced into fingers and an olive oil dip. The bread was warm, soft and crunchy, seriously good bread. The olive oil was ever so slightly spicy with buttery olive oil after tones. “good stuff”I ordered off menu, Fruita Demaree con Risotto, it comes with a spicy red sauce, I added a side order of there Lemon Alfredo sauce. The risotto was cooked perfectly, the clam, shrimp and scallops tasted fantastic however the red sauce was lacking big time in flavor, bland, bland, bland however when I added the side order of Alfredo lemon sauce to it, it really transformed the taste to my liking “the lemon flavor was really a nice twist c;Wifey ordered the fresh Halibut, came with Polenta and veggies. The Halibut was a major disappointment as it was over spiced and over cooked “dry,dry,dry” honestly I can’t even give it one star. “I should have returned it but I wanted to be nice”The Polenta on the other hand left both wifey and myself weak at the knees, seriously!! It is better than how my mom use to make it. With its creamy texture and buttery taste, it was surely the star of the evening. “I have never had better”

I pretty much can’t say enough about this place. I was flying solo so I sat at the bar. I asked the waitress for vegan options and she suggested an “off-menu” pizza of her own creation. As a frequent flyer of italian restaurants it’s pretty easy to tell if it’s a genuine italian restaurant. Make reservations in advice. I will say that the food was very delicious and extremely light which means nice clean food with genuine ingredients. Usually at Italian restaurants there isn’t a charge for unlimited bread service as well as there should be a warning about a sparkling water charge because it’s offered as the same as regular water. Very nice service and clean place.

We were seated in the basement where the waiters could not see us but the waitress came at the right intervals to check on us, not too often and about when we finished our meals.Food was great. We had the pera pizza (pear with gorgonzola cheese) and it was perfect combination. We also ordered the parpadelle pasta which was hand made, very good texture.

While all the food was amazing, the service was lacking. Its a pretty small restaurant and it took a lot of time for everything...getting water, ordering, at least 30 minutes for entrees to come out, and even waiting to get the check. Our server was nice but she seemed very busy. Maybe they were just understaffed that night, but it left us with a bad impression. Since the food was great, well probably give this place a second chance, but not in the near future.Update: decided to give Centonove another chance and glad we did! While the service still isn’t fast, it was average and felt much more attentive this time. The food was once again amazing. Changing this from 3 to 4 stars.

I think Contonove serves good food but I think their service is lacking. The lack of service is because of our untrained waitress. She did not tell us of their specials of the day. Why does that matter? After overhearing her from the next table while we were eating.. I questioned her nicely. Her response was : “You look like you are ready to order so I did not bother …” She apologized. It is not up to her, what the customer should want to eat. And, that response is not what I would have expected. As it turns out, we would have ordered the specials.This is not the first time that we encounter a situation like this ( we dine out a lot). Once or twice, when this happens, the restaurant/the manager/ the waitress always makes some adjustments.Sometimes, we accept the adjustment, sometimes we don’t and we always thank the restaurant. It is always a nice gesture for a restaurant to make an offer.That is not the case here. Business as usual as nothing is happening here, leaving a sour taste in my mouth.It is a pity. Contonove has such great potential. Too bad about the half-wit waitress.Wonderful busboy though!

They have the best food and Italian wine. I have tried the Pera E Gorgonzola that was made with pear infused creamy Gorgonzola. It was well made. Pizza con Nutella was an amazing dessert. Barolo Gaja and Buglioni Amarone are fantastic Italian wines which you should not miss.

Absolutely amazing dining experience! Right when you walk in there’s great vibes and the ambience is great! They have two levels for seating, as we sat downstairs where the wine cellar is which was super cool! The food was delicious all around, and the drinks were superb. This is a must if you’re in town. We originally had a reservation here to celebrate my parents wedding anniversary. When we arrived, they had us set up literally on the side walk on a HILL. On top of that, it was freezing cold and coincidentally, all of their heat lamps broke the week before. Not sure why they wouldnt just set us up under their overhang area and plan out the smaller tables to be placed on the sloped hill. We ended up getting our food to go because it was just unbearable and we were basically sitting in the dark because the nearest lights were from their overhang dining area. Our server took our orders no problem, but we were still charged a 20% gratuity on our to go order. Kind of dumb if we werent even served anything as opposed if we just called in the order. Food was decent at least, but not worth the upcharge.

I’m surprised at the reviews. I ate here the other night and ordered the prosciutto pizza as well as one of the pastas. The pizza was unevenly cooked (but ingredients seemed fine) and the pasta was surprisingly bland. It was a Friday night and the service was good though.

Dropped by for a quick dinner and mentioned we were in a hurry. The host was super accommodating and got us a table immediately, brought our waiter over and recommended we get a pizza or two which were the fastest options. I’ve never seen a pizza come out that fast and it was VERY good. Everything else we ordered was great (thought the tagliatelle could have been seasoned a bit better IMO) and the service was wonderful. Highly recommend. Apparently the chef has a Michelin star in Naples, bravo!

Great pizza / Italian restaurant in Los Gatos. They are currently open for outdoor dining and takeout, and the staff was amazing.Really fresh and quality ingredients, top of the line wood fired oven for pizza and other excellent dishes. Went there with the family and was really impressed. Highly recommend the wood fired cauliflower, any of the salads, and the Prosciutto pizza. Staff also followed safety protocol and everything was really clean and comfortable.Thank you so much! Definitely coming back 😁

This was our fave spots when we wanted to go for a perfect meal. We were beyond disappointed when we got to the restaurant and the menu had changed. All of our favorites were gone. The little pasta purses filled and sauced with a bit of heaven...gone. The new sauce on the pizza left much to be desired and was far too spicy. The staff is fabulous, stellar in fact. Sadly I don’t think we will be going back with the drastic menu change. Best of luck to them.

Darling place in downtown LG The wait staff very engaged, 3 other diners with me this night and unfortunately none of us cared for our pasta dishes, I think it may have been overcooked and under seasoned, Brushetta was amazing. This place serves many classic Italian dishes apart from the pizza selection. They also have an extensive wine, beer, and even cocktail menu! For starters you can taste the quality of Cesar Salad. You notice the anchovies in the dressing, but it isnt overpowering. You can tell the quality of the carbonara by the fact that it isnt too eggy and that they use real pancetta. You can tell by the melted fat! Outside seating wasnt bad either with the propane heaters going ! Dont forget to get the spumoni for dessert!

The noodles were great, but the sauce lacked any interesting flavor - it just tasted like salt with a hint of tomato.My wife and her family ordered a gluten free pizza, which they ate most of. I felt really bummed...we ordered a salad, and it wound up tasting like nothing but salt. Had to get it exchanged, and get a new one, which was still salty. Keep in mind, Im on a low sodium diet thanks to a health condition, so thats not the greatest thing. The plate with prosciutto, cheese and the fried dough tasted like nothing, and the only thing relieving was the pizza. I just felt really bummed because the last two visits had been excellent, but this one had just been meh at best. Didnt think Id be leaving without leftovers this time around.

Ordered take out through door dash. The calabria pizza was amazing, spicy and flavorful with a great thin crust. We quickly ate the entire pizza. The tagliatelle bolognese was the worst pasta I’ve had in my life. Overcooked and unseasoned linguine noodles topped with grainy, greasy, flavorless meat. I can blame the delivery time on the noodles being mushy but that complete lack of flavor is entirely on the kitchen. I don’t understand how any chef lets that dish get served.From reading other reviews consistency seems to be an issue here. I’ll try again in person and hopefully everything will be as good as that pizza was and nothing is as bad as that past was.

Went for dinner with four people and waited a while to get a menu, then to get our food, then to order dessert, then to get dessert. We never received bread, water refill, or the second glass of wine we ordered. Dessert took so long to arrive we contemplated cancelling it and getting the check. This restaurant is pretty new. They have a really strong wine list (with a special happy hour on Tuesdays). The food is cooked really well, especially the Pizza. The pizza is cooked in a brick oven in the middle of the room, and the other dishes are also quite tasty. The price is a little higher though for the portions that you get, but Id definitely say its still worth it!

So yum! Our server Carlos was super knowledgable about the wine list, and when my friend and I described what we were each looking for in flavor, he picked the perfect wine for each of us. What happened to this place? It used to be good but that was a long time ago. Right when we reopened from the pandemic we got a fish dish that was very clearly frozen and tasted terrible but I shook it off. Went to Centonove last night and it was so so good as usual! First time for us to dine out again since things opened and it was well worth it. We knew the Centonove family was grieving the loss of its amazing Chef Arturo but they were hustling like crazy regardless. The restaurant was packed with people for takeout and dine in. Shelley let us know their computer system had gone down so they had a backlog and short staff but everyone seemed just fine. The food is well worth any wait. We had the yummy bread first with olive oil then Caesar salad ( first time trying here and unbelievable flavors!) and beet gnocchi with a red sauce and the pasta primavera . Also the plant based bruschetta. Top that off with a reserve Chianti Classico and we were in heaven! The service was unbelievable especially in light of the circumstances! Kept getting checked on and apologies for any wait. Unbelievable their attention to the customer is extremely valued. Also the setting is fabulous, one of the best outdoor dining experiences in Los Gatos. Can’t wait to go again :)

Today we had the worst experience ever at any restaurant even before we could sit down. We patiently waited almost 15 mins before the host even acknowledged us after which we were made to wait another 10 mins. I cant comment on the food, but I can attest to the character of the ownership. I was looking for somewhere to hold a memorial for our family. My father in law passed and the services are in Los Gatos. When I called and talked to the owner, She made it seem as if it was no problem, and she would check with the GM and Chef. When I talked to her again, she said they could make it work if some were inside and outside. She even said come by on Sunday to look at the space between 2 and 4. We took my mother in law to see the restaurant and they made it seem that is was all fine and that I should be expecting an email with the menus. When I didnt receive the menus I emailed her asking for them. My response was returned with a we will not be able to accommodate you sort of email stating that we would not be able to have us and that they had reservations already.Heres the deal. If you had reservatoins, that should have been said from the first day. I shouldnt have to follow up with the establishment no longer wanted to serve us. If its a covid thing, they should have been up front about their restrictions. But now I am a week out, and no where to host our family.I was already writing a good review in my head about how they came through for us and how grateful I was that they were able to accommodate us. However, the case is the exact opposite. I will not be writing a happy review. I will be trying to find somewhere to host my family last minute.

Its fine, the food is good, the service is reasonably friendly and there was no wait when we arrived (530ish on a Wednesday). The restaurant is small, though, which makes it hard to move in and out of your seat without bumping into someone else. Theyre heavy and bulky to move which makes getting and going to the bathroom an even more awkward process. The last time I went to this restaurant is simply the last time I will visit until the restaurant changes the staff. I was waiting at a table for a friend. There were no other people seated. I was reading the paper and having coffee. I was told I could not sit there. I said I am waiting for a friend I was told it didnt matter. I said that I am not moving. A girl said that she would call the police. I said why? . . I was being disrespectful. So I moved and searched on my phone for another place to eat. However I sat reading my paper and drinking coffee from next door. I couldnt leave as my friend was coming. As I was getting up to leave another server said you need to get laid. No thanks avoid this place until the green staff is replaced with more professionally trained staff. I however moved as I did not want to call their bluff and actually have a police discussion. I go to the coffee bar next door and it seems I am always heckled by the staff. I have been a customer of the Los Gatos Coffee Roasting Company since 1982 and have no intention of not having my coffee and my paper with my dogs just because it is next door to such an awful place. First of all, many of the staff dont wear masks during the worst pandemic of the century and the social distancing they claim to be doing for outdoor dining is a joke. Theyre practically spreading COVID for profit. Second of all, we ordered through Doordash and they said our food was ready. It says the order is ready, we show up, and then they tell us they ran out of a dish we ordered. Theyre supposed to do that before they say its ready, so we can substitute. Love their fire oven for their pizzas. The place is not as full as the other downtown Los Gatos restaurants. This is probably because they only serve beer and wine. But the food is always top notch. This is the first Italian restaurant/pizzeria my wife has liked in the Bay Area, and we are looking forward to returning with our children and grandchildren.
