Cavaletti is the hidden gem! By far the best tasting experience we’ve had. Make Cavaletti your favorite, too! The wines are all amazing and the best wine we’ve had (and we do a lot of wine tasting in Southern California). The owner and winemaker, Patrick, is amazing. Best place to hang out on the weekend and we love talking to the winemaker and learning something new every time. It was the only place we felt safe during the pandemic and we are so happy to have found this place and this friendship. Another great part is they are dog friendly!! They provide dog beds, water, and treats. Our dog loves to pretend that he’s the winery dog.

Had the most amazing time at our wine tasting. We bought more than a few bottles as they were top notch. Also the staff was so knowledgeable and shared with us the process of how they made their wine and also went the extra mile - as I told them that the reservation was for a birthday and they surprised us with chocolate cupcakes!

I love Cavalettis wine... almost as much as I love Patrick and his team. They are all very knowledgeable and very passionate about wine. A flight in their tasting room always seems to be equal parts history lesson geography lesson and laughter. Couple that with their super rich reds and perfectly balanced whites... you cant really go wrong. Just remember to bring food when you visit! Its easy to over-indulge!

Best wine tasting experience short of Napa! I am a red wine “snob” and have fallen in love with Cavaletti’s Arianna Syrah and Alicante Bouschet. I have also really enjoyed their Sangiovese and Nebbiolo. The Founder Patrick is also a very fun and interesting person, I have always enjoyed taking to him about wine, people, horses, you name it!

One of the best local LA/Ventura County winemakers. The Winemaker, Patrick Kelley, is devoted to taking the best local grapes and making them into wines with great dimension. His Tempranillo and Syrah are my go to for any occasion. You have got to try this small boutique winery that has a large cult following. I promise you wont be disappointed.

Classy wines from classy people. I am somewhat biased as Patrick is my brother, but I have been buying wines for my restaurants for over 20 years, and everything that is coming out of Cavaletti Vineyards is like a breath of fresh air. The rose is always a hit on my menus and a favorite of my staff and customers. Keep up the good work guys!

Best wine within at least 109 miles! And the tasting room is so laid back with good music that it is a treat. We are part of the Friday happy hour crowd and always find someone to chat with. Patrick, Michael or some other satisfied Wine Club Member.

Their wine is amazing. The 109 Mile Rose is the perfect summer wine. The tasting room is comfortable because the people that work there are so friendly and knowledgeable. I always have a great time and look forward to the new releases.

We are wine club members at Cavaletti and get an annual shipment of the most delicious roses. The wines are so good, we love to come by to see what new wines Patrick has released and always buy more. When my wine shelf gets low on Cavaletti wines I get sad. Definitely recommend this winery to get great wines, to come to visit with family or friends because everyone who works there (especially the owner, Patrick) is so incredibly friendly. We love to bring some cheese and crackers and have a mini picnic while tasting the amazing wines.

He knows that if you want to have excellent wine, you need to start with how the grapes are grown, and Patrick is a master at that. Not only will you taste excellent wines at an affordable price, you will learn about the history and present of Los Angeles wine, and why there is a story to be told here. Taste, buy a lot, and if you are really smart you will join the wine club. Its a bit off the beaten path, but you will not regret it.

Awesome experience, so glad we discovered this! Refreshingly unpretentious tasting room with great wines and fantastic people. Michael took great care of us, was very knowledgeable and genuinely friendly. Met Patrick the owner briefly, who was very welcoming with it being our first time in. Everyone else there was extremely friendly as well, this place attracts a nice, laid-back crowd. Very dog-friendly too! Also giving them bonus points for having a website that provided everything we would want to know before visiting a tasting room: Dog friendly? Check. Can bring your own food? Check. Appointment encouraged? Check. They even let you know that they tasting room is kept cool at 65 degrees so you can come prepared. A good indication of their level of customer care and much appreciated. Will be making this place a regular spot!

I cant say enough about Cavaletti. The wine is amazing. A great mix of varietals. Whenever we have friends over and they taste the wine, they cant believe how good it is and thats is a local winery. Weve also enjoyed stopping off at the winery for some wine tasting, hanging out and learning about winemaking from the very impressive owner, Patrick.

We have been going to Cavaletti since it opened. After tasting their fabulous wines, we immediately joined the wine club and have zero regrets. The wines are wonderful and Patrick (the owner and wine maker) is friendly and very knowledgeable. COVID-19 slowed our wine tasting but we’re looking forward to getting back at it as time goes on. Who knew that this little out of the way storefront was a treasure trove of delicious wines from close to home? I discovered Cavaletti’s at a wine tasting event in Ventura and I’ve been hooked on their wines and the whole wine tasting experience ever since. This place is as good (and in most cases better) than any tasting experience I’ve had anywhere. Patrick is full of fascinating facts and the history of vines right by us. The stories and the fabulous wines will have you coming back for more! Highly recommend!!!

Visited their tasting room in November 2021 on the last leg of a road trip and must say, we were pleased with the decision to make it our last stop on our way home.As someone who enjoys reds, they have a great selection of them. We elected to take home a 2018 Tempranillo before leaving.The service was great. Patrick even stopped by and it was great to let him know our thoughts on his wine.Seeing some of the barrels in there makes me look forward to tasting those upcoming wines soon.

This is one of the best spots to have a mid-afternoon date and taste some world class wines grown and made in the community. The wine maker and his crew do an amazing job of educating, sharing stories, and making for a fantastic afternoon. If youve never visited, youre missing out on a local gem. After youve visited once, youll realize why so many make it a monthly visit. Its an amazingly relaxing and fun date spot and a great spot to meet some locals and share stories over a nice glass of vino.

Cavaletti is a hidden gem in Ventura county. Not only are the wines outstanding but going to the tasting room is like walking into your family home. You never feel like a stranger. Everyone is welcoming and friendly. If you want to learn abut wine, this is also the place to go. The stories and history from the grapes to making the wine go well with a tasting or glass from the vineyard. If ever you are anywhere near Moorpark, I highly suggest stopping at Cavaletti.

I really enjoyed everything about my tasting experience. I loved the wine so much that I brought home two bottles! I have already planned my next visit there (and will probably do the exact same thing!) It’s a super cute and has a comfortable vibe with some of the best local white and rose that I’ve had in the area. 100% would recommend them!

Cavaletti Vineyards has been a favorite of mine since first meeting the owner and winemaker at The Wine Closet in Camarillo. The varietals offered at Cavaletti Vineyards are all fantastic! They originally started with Reds and Rose. Since then they have expanded into white wines that are perfect for any occasion. If you are in or driving through the Moorpark area, please stop by Cavaletti Vineyards. You’ll have a great time tasting and learning more about wine from the owner himself.

I discovered Cavaletti wines at the 2021 Taste of Camarillo event. I was very impressed with the wines and signed up for their email list to keep up to date on their wines. Unfortunately Covid has prevented me from visiting their tasting room in Moorpark. I’m hoping to get there soon so I can taste the other wines they make.

Love this local winery. We discovered it by pure luck while cycling through Moorpark and Santa Rosa Valley. Sweet find! We fell in love with the Nebbiolo and Tempranillo, but all the reds are wonderful! A must to visit and taste. It will be difficult to leave without becoming a member!
