The most knowledgeable and caring doctors (shout out to Dr Evans!) and the most friendly and compassionate staff. My girl is a little high-strung and they were just great with her. So happy to have all my senior cats in their care. They may be just a little pricier, but the Cat Clinic is WELL WORTH IT. Thanks for everything!

I’ve been going to cat clinic for years now with multiple cats, from kittens to seniors. The staff are compassionate and thorough. I always trust the recommendations of the doctors - I really like that they are cat focused. Best vet I know of. (Pierre is the best receptionist - sorry to the other receptionists)

Dr. Burner is the best veterinarian I’ve ever encountered. He’s very thorough, and he’s so great at explaining everything and letting you know all your options. He did a small surgery on my cat because I was worried about a little lump on her head. My cat is very fearful in general, so I was relieved that she seemed pretty relaxed after the operation and not at all afraid to return to the Cat Clinic to get her stitches out. Recently, I moved out of the area, so we had to get a new vet, but I miss Dr. Burner. It’s hard to explain why, but he’s really one-of-a-kind. You can tell that he genuinely cares and that he is a kind, ethical person. He was also the only vet to ever say that my tortie cat was cute. :) The staff over there is excellent, too! Very attentive, professional, and quick to help.

I have two cats and every time I call Cat Clinic with questions, they are wonderful! I spoke with Tracy today and she patiently helped me with everything I needed. I will be bringing my cats here for sure! The customer service is terrific and you can tell they care and truly love cats.

The most compassionate and professional cat clinic I’ve ever been to. I took my cat (Cielo) to get spayed and not only did they do an amazing job but they thoroughly checked and ran tests to ensure a successful, safe surgery. Since the first visit he made us feel a great sense of relief. Dr. J. Burner explained everything about the surgery which left us with a great sense of tranquility. Dr. Burner called before the surgery to let us know about some issues regarding her health and to ask us how we wanted to proceed. After the surgery, he called right away to let us know everything went well. The staff is also very nice and checked in with us the next couple of days after Cielo’s surgery. My husband and I are very pleased with the amount of empathy we received from the doctor and his staff that we referred them to our daughter. This has now become our family clinic, we will continue to bring our cats here ☺️

This is the best cat clinic ever! I would not take my cats anywhere else. Dr. Steinberg & Dr. Evans are compassionate, knowledgeable, and professional. They are extremely patient and take their time with you. We had a cat that was diagnosed with cancer and the Dr.s and staff were extremely patient, supportive, and helpful navigating his final months with us. If you are looking for a vet that specializes in felines, look not further. So happy our new babies will be receiving care from them.

They saved my sweet fur baby. She was suffering for a year constantly on medicine but when I took her to the Cat Clinic they were able to give her a proper diagnosis straight away and finally get her on the rights medicine. She is doing much better now thanks to the Cat Clinic. They truly care about your fur kitties and it’s reassuring taking your cat to a vet who’s sole focus is on cats. This is the only place I take my two cats. The staff is exceptional, they allow drop offs, and boarding. I have had the very stressful scenario of saying good bye to two of my girls. Everyone.was so compassionate, caring and wonderful. I always tell other cat owners to e sure to go to The Cat Clinic.

What an awesome place! The vets and cat experts are really great at what they do, especially since I have a little monster... (really... she bit the cat dentist once), but everyone here handled her so well, even though shes a scaredy cat, and Im glad theres finally someone shes comfortable with. The office overall was clean, and I loved how the waiting room was furnished just for the cats. It wasnt empty and sterile like some human medical offices, which I think calmed the both of us a lot!

Caring, compassionate team. Dr. Evans and Dr. Burner possess tremendous feline veterinary expertise. Dr. Evans quickly diagnosed and relieved our Scouts urinary crystal issues after several other dog-oriented vets said the bladder issue was behavioral and that I should consider rehoming. Dr. Burner was so kind, patient, and responsive in guiding care for our 18 year old Greystoke, who recently crossed the rainbow bridge from kidney disease. My only regret is that we didnt find these amazing vets until relocating here two years ago from the Bay Area. I feel guilty that my cats failed to have the same standard of care while living up north. Staff always are kind and accommodating, getting us in quickly for emergencies, dispensing meds, and food with helpful instruction. They were so caring to us when Greystoke crossed. I should note that unlike practices that serve all fur babies, this practice is a much more low-stress, welcoming environment for cats and their humans. Love this practice and the people and felines who work there.

Vet & Tech, two remarkable women, displayed their genuine affection for cats through their exceptional care. Their facility was clean, and their prices were reasonable.However, the cat clinic mandates that cats be kept in kennels due to the presence of aggressive feline residents. Regrettably, my cat, who is fully trained to walk on a leash, found being confined in an unfamiliar space distressing. Normally, she enjoys the freedom to explore and familiarize herself with new surroundings. This policy creates an unwelcoming and anxiety-inducing environment.

They were all so kind and handled my cat super gentle. Not to mention they’re all geniuses when it comes to handling and caring for cats. I also really appreciated them taking the time help me feel comfortable by explaining everything to me and educating me so now I know much more about my cat and how to take care of her. A bonus is that the inside is SUPER cute and they even offered me a towel sprayed with a de-stressor to put over my cars carrier to help her anxiety. A super considerate and thoughtful clinic!

We had an emergency situation with one of our cats and Shana (front office staff) graciously squeezed us in to an already packed calendar. She went above and beyond to make sure that we were given all of the necessary information and followed up with me. When we had to pivot and see another specialist, Shana made sure to recommend an excellent provider and not charge us. This kind of service is not commonly seen and I want to thank everyone at the Cat Clinic for helping us when we needed it most. Appreciate you all. To the public, your kitties are in great hands.

All the staff is super nice and really kind! I love walking in, it’s friendly and warm. There are 2 resident cats who are so sweet! It’s very clean! I love that this is only for cats, because there is no loud noises or barking from dogs to add to cats anxiety of being at a vet. They have boarding, which I love! Now I feel like I can travel without worrying about my cat. There is great Information of pamphlet here for taking care of kittens to different insurances. They also have pet food, toys and treats there. My cats always goes crazy for the food, treats, and toys. When I have concerns or questions the vet and technician took their time to help me understand. I’ve been going here with family for over 10 years. And I keep going because of the quality of care provided to my kitty.

I have been using the cat clinic a little over a year now. While our veterinarian before was OK I always felt like their focus was dogs as that is about 80% of the clientele for a normal vet. My kitties are my life and are the most important thing in the world to me I feel like they get much more personalized & specialized care here. Both the doctor and the staff are amazing and always make me feel like my kitties are there number one priority.

The most wonderful, caring cat people work here and I’m so grateful for them. My cat is an anxious mess and even the vibe in the waiting room makes her feel more at ease than any other vet we’ve taken her. I cant say enough good things about Cat Clinic. My cats have been seen by both Dr. Burner and Dr. Evans. Both are great at listening to concerns and finding a solution and answer all questions. The clinic is very efficient but you never feel rushed. Ive only had positive interactions with the office staff and vet techs and assistants. Shana, who Ive talked to the most, is SO awesome about following up and finding a new solution. Such a great team, Im bummed Im moving away soon!

My 13-year old cat, Sophie, was in urgent need to see a vet back in February. I looked up feline only vet and found this clinic. I called the clinic on a Wednesday morning and was able to get an appointment on the same day. The vet was very gentle with Sophie, and her diagnosis was spot on. The medications and treatments prescribed by the vet were effective on Sophie. In addition, the vet’s examination on Sophie was very thorough and she took the time to explain her recommendations to me. I also appreciate the fact that the staff went over the pricing on the vet’s recommendations. Two days after the visit, I received a phone call from another vet from the clinic to update me on Sophie’s blood test results. My own doctor hardly ever personally called me for my lab test results, so it was a pleasant surprise to receive follow up calls from my kitty’s vet. I really like every service I received from this clinic that I decided to bring my other kitty, Ollie. This clinic is honest, the vets are very compassionate towards the kitties, the services are reasonably priced, and their staff are welcoming and professional. All of my inquiries were handled and answered swiftly and thoroughly.

This was the first time that I was able to go inside due to Covid. I love this place for my two cats. They are very efficient in providing for my fur babies. They only take cats and I like that. I only want the best for my cats because they are family my babies ❤. I called for an appointment the same day and there were no appointments available but they had me bring in my cat and drop him off and they would fit him in between appointments. I greatly appreciated that. They tell you up front what they are going to do and call you to inform you of whats happening with your fur baby. My cat did not seem stressed when I picked him up, that is a good sign. I do highly recommend this place for your cats 🐈

I had an extremely professional and positive experience here. My cat wasn’t feeling well and while I had to stay in the car due to covid, the doctors did a wonderful job communicating with me over the phone. I came back twice within two days and spoke to multiple staff members, vets and techs. The doctors did a wonderful job explaining my cat’s condition and treatment plan, and answering any questions I had. The ladies who transferred my cat from my car to the building were kind and courteous. I will definitely be bringing my cat back here for future vet visits.

We take all 4 of our cats here and couldnt be happier with the staff or with Dr. Burner. Recently took my cat Princess for a follow up from a cancer tumor removal from last year. Based off some symptoms I mentioned, Dr. Burner suggested a few test.Not only is a cost treatment plan prepared prior to moving forward, they never suggest more tests than are necessary. Which has not always been true at other places I had gone to previously.Dr. Burner spent time reviewing her xray results very thoroughly with me and the next day followed up with her bloodwork results. He also asked if there were any additional things I had thought of since her office visit. He is so thorough and makes sure you have all your questions answered.If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. My fur babies are my children, so its extremely they have the best. Cat Clinic is that place!

I wish I had known about them sooner as I used to take them to a general animal veterinarian who didn’t specialize in cats and didn’t seem at knowledgeable about them.

This place is all about cat care.They were very good with ours when he had a sinus infection and pointed out some needed dental work. I’m so glad I noticed your sign when driving down 17th. You have a wonderful practice. Having been a dog owner for so many years and felt sorry for the scared cats in crates I would see in the waiting room, I’m so glad that now that I have cats I know cat-only vets exist. I have been coming here for 7 years. I have up to 8 cats that Dr. Steinberg has cared for. I would not go anywhere else. She was able to diagnose issues with my cats that other vets did not recognize and get them back on track. Office staff is great. Lucky kitties to be cared for here.

Dr Steinberg is the best, she is not only a great vet, but a very compassionate person. We have a feisty girl, who is a sweetheart at home, but not very friendly towards the medical profession. Dr Steinberg and staff are very through with her, and patient. We first met Dr Steinberg around 2000, when I adopted my first cat but the practice was sold. Years later we found out that Dr Steinberg was back, and we knew it was the best place for our cat. The staff at the front office are equally outstanding. Thank you.

I am so sad that Dr. Kelly Wright is no longer the owner of the Cat Clinic. I agree with the review that says she is so compassionate & caring; she makes you feel that your cats are her favorites! She provided wonderful care for many years for my beloved Fidget, and then took care of my two new cats. Im bereft that she will no longer be here to treat them. I always felt that she was a trustworthy professional, completely ethical, and not a price gouger. She is missed!The advertisement I recently got from the new owners of the Cat Clinic claimed that, the Cat Clinic is bringing quality cat care _back_ to OC. When I first got my kittens I went to two other Vets in the immediate area, I was not impressed and did not want my kittens in those clinics. When I was finally able to get them into the Cat Clinic of Orange County and into the care of Dr. Kelly, I knew they were in good loving hands. I would never take them any where else. The staff is equally amazing and patient.An added bonus, there are no dogs in this veterinary clinic which makes it much less stressful on the kits!

My cats have been part of the Cat Clinic of Orange County for 17 years. I would never even think of taking them any where else. The quality of care and love that they receive is by far the best. I tried 3 other vet clinics and was so unhappy, one misdiagnosed my cat and almost killed him. If you need to take your cat to the vet, Id highly recommend this place. It is Cat Only, quiet and peaceful. My very senior cat was not traumatized simply by the stress of most vet waiting rooms full of dogs and cats.Dr. Steinberg was very thorough on her exam. Like most vets, she had a range of suggested tests they could do, but didnt hard sell them. I searched a lot places that were super expensive and even my own vet was going to charge me $70 for a pre-boarding exam because I was bringing in an adopted cat that had already been examined by another vet! Hands-down the best vet to take your cat to!Ive taken my cats here for years, and they always have the friendliest staff who knows how to handle even the most skittish cats with aplomb. It reduces the stress level in my cats, at least I think it does. The care is top notch and they spend time explaining what they are doing. They also remember who I am even though I am not there much which is a really nice touch. Also, there is not a lot of turnover in the staff, which makes me trust their advice as well as the doctors, and they are excellent about returning calls and providing further information as it comes in. I switched from a regular vet to a cats-only vet about five years ago. Cat specialists, especially the Cat Clinic, are much more knowledgeable and therefore more helpful in diagnosing and treating cats. Plus not having excitable dogs in the waiting room is already an improvement.At the Cat Clinic, the waiting room is large, open, and immaculate. Theres a few charming, free-roaming office cats. The boarding area is upstairs and have glass cages that overlook the downstairs lobby.The office staff and technicians are friendly and competent, and the vetinarians are world class. I cant say enough about this clinicThe pricing is what youd pay at a regular non-specialized vet. But you receive vetinary care thats higher quality.This clinic has gone out of its way for me on several occasions. But I suspect they do this for everyone.

Great Kennel, attentive Vet! - I first came here to kennel my cat. Their kennels are high above the lobby with a view of the desk. I know my cat would find this more entertaining than a cage in a room at the back of the building.Since then, my cat has developed diabetes. Would never go back. I was a loyal customer here for over 10 years and it’s just not worth it.I liked it up until I adopted an adult cat who’d had a few previous owners. I had their cooperation in getting his vet records sent over, but since there were multiple people on his records it was difficult.According to a former employee, that’s when they put a note on my file that said that I “bring in stray cats” that I don’t own.I cat-sit and a cat I was watching got sick, so I called them to see if I could bring him in to be looked at. The receptionist told me I couldn’t bring in another cat that I don’t own (which was pretty confusing for me, obviously) and hung up on me. I had to find another vet, which was distressing as it was a pretty urgent situation and I was hoping I could take him to someone I already knew.I talked to Dr Steinberg and she told me none of her staff members would do that. Well, Dr Steinberg, one of them did.I guess she found out about the notes on my account, because she later called the other person on the account to apologize for how I was treated. Never reached out to me, though.In addition to that situation, the prices are much higher than other vets. I really do not recommend The Cat Clinic, which is sad, because I used to.

Very scary place! My cat was suffering for 18 months with a on and off cough, wheezing and sneezing. My previous vet kept putting her on antibiotics but I didn’t feel right continuously giving her antibiotics every 4 to 8 weeks, so after 18 months I sought out a second opinion. Even during the unusual circumstances of COVID-19, I must say I was more impressed with the treatment, response, explanation, etc., than from any other veterinary clinic that I have been to in all of the many years of having cats and dogs. They are all so amazing its hard to find the words to express how incredible theyve been. Our sweet cat of 11 years became very really ill very quickly, and Dr. Steinberg went above and beyond to help him and even called us during the evening to provide us with updates. She is unbelievably knowledgeable and has the absolute best bedside manner. Unfortunately we did have to put our cat down as everything that could have been done was done to try to save him. The doctor and staff were all so incredible and understanding of what we were going through. After our dear cat passed, we received a handwritten card with a sweet note and signatures from the entire staff sending us their condolences. Also, I referred a friend to the clinic and the staff and doctor, yet again, sent us a thank you card that was handwritten and signed by everyone.And weeks later we received a letter in the mail from the Director of the Center for Companion Animal Health at the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. The director informed us that Dr. Steinberg made a memorial donation to their fund in memory of Buddy, our cat.I highly recommend everyone who has a feline to take them to the Cat Clinic because they will treat you and your pet with the utmost care and genuine concern.They also have never asked me to write a review. OFFICE MANAGER DOES NOT UNDERSTAND CUSTOMER SERVICE, I FIRED THEM AS MY CATS VET, AND THEN OFFICE MANAGER SENDS ME A CYA LETTER.I was a repeat customer of this veterinary facility. I liked the fact that it had a convenient location and specialized in feline health. Also, I found the vet to be quite compassionate and knowledgable, but her staff was routinely unusually hard to deal with and totally unaccommodating compared to every other veterinary office Ive visited in California and elsewhere.The staff wouldnt matter except they the young women who run the place control access, scheduling, etc. Two visits ago, the vet told me I had to run a whole bunch of tests, and frankly I felt ripped off after spending over $500 when nothing was wrong with my cat (thank God). Then, more recently, I returned and took my cat for routine shots. The vet suggested splitting up the shots (to avoid overwhelming the cats immune system) and I agreed. She explained the second shot could be simply given by a vet tech.Should be simple, right? Not at the Cat Clinic.Two weeks later, after repeated phone calls, I could not get on the Cat Clinics tightly-controlled vet tech schedule. They could not accommodate me during my lunch hour (from work) or after work (between 5pm and 6pm), any day of the week. I finally asked the office manager Tracy if she could let me just come by with my cat either some evening or on the weekend and was told that she could schedule me 2 weeks hence. I explained how ridiculous this was - - particularly considering it was only a 1 minute shot and I was happy to wait around in their lobby. Her response was that the vet techs needed 20 minutes to weigh my cat and take its temperature before administering the 1 minute shot. And because they needed 20 minutes, there were no available appointments. I again offered to bring the cat and wait around until a break occurred in their schedule, but Tracy was not willing to accommodate that option. I finally concluded (and explained) that going forward after this shot, it would make better sense for me to take my cat elsewhere for regular treatment since the Cat Clinic was so needlessly (in my opinion) rigid and unaccommodating with respect to scheduling such a simple thing for a repeat customer, and I actually work for a living from 8-5.A couple of days later, I received a letter in the mail from Tracy, the Queen of Customer Service, saying that they refused to provide my cat with any further treatment because my recent interactions with their clinic made it impossible for them to communicate with trust and confidence. Seriously? What arrogance for them to try to turn that little interaction around in a CYA letter.So here I will be more direct and not beat around the bush:This clinic is expensive compared to other clinics. It doesnt produce better results, or offer more specialized feline services. I am well-acquainted with all the reputable feline vets in Orange County, and elsewhere in California (including UC Davis) and I fired the Cat Clinic. For an office manager to create new problems instead of simply resolve a problem was the last thing Id expected when I asked to speak with her, and frankly I fired them because of her actions. Any decent office manager without a huge ego problem would have recognized that sometimes customer service means being flexible to pet owners who work for a living.

I have been going to the cat clinic since it first opened on 17th street... granted i was in elementary school at that time, but id go with my parents when our cats needed help... twenty-six years later, ive been a consistent customer, having taken all ten of our cats here over the years (two of which i adopted directly from the cat clinic!) the clinic is comprised of a great team - every individual here is warm and knowledgeable... they do what is best for your cat; and when that sad time comes where all realistic options have been exhausted, and we have no choice but to say good-bye to our beloved friend, they make that time just as comfortable and special as possible... i cant imagine going anywhere else, and refuse to go anywhere else... i am so grateful to have such a compassionate team of experts in our community...
