2024-05-05 21:46:31Great place for hiking π₯Ύ . Has different levels of difficulty. And you can start on easy way or hard way. The traill is amazing especially on the spring. You can find beautiful rivers, and a little waterfall.

2024-01-29 18:39:57Great hiking spot with something for everyone. Waterfalls, views and woods. Some elevation at certain spots which might be a little challenging for young kids. But I still saw lots of kids around on the hike.

2023-11-28 15:01:01The hike is very nice. 1st 2 miles are shaded with huge trees. The hike is not hard for kids, it might be tricky at some points. Dont forget to pay parking and put it on the dashboard

2022-05-02 04:10:10My husband and I decided to try our first moderate level trail here. Parking was $10 (seems the standard for state parks). Staff was friendly, restrooms were clean. The trail itself was stunning. Posted signs marking paths took us through and over bridges, rocks, hills, forests and mountain sides. The views overlooking miles of forest were a true sight to behold. We got to see a little bit of everything. Lots of shaded areas along the trails. Lizards, birds and other small critters could be seen hanging close to the pathways as well. Definitely a good amount of people/groups hiking about so if youre looking for solitude, that may be something to keep in mind. We both had a great time and cant wait to being our kids for the less challenging trails. Highly recommend!

2022-05-03 03:16:17This is my current favorite state park and hiking spot! This place has some awesome views and many trails and a waterfall to check out. Of course Castle Rock is the main event. With many climbing options it is the best natural play structure for all ages. (Younger kids definitely need more attention as it can be dangerous, but still awesome and worth the visit) and thereβs this awesome tree stump by the main entrance designed for climbing that should be checked out too.

2020-12-23 03:48:45We had a great day at Castle Rock State park, did a moderate trek. Went down on the Saratoga gap and came back on the Goat rock trail. Amazing views, great places to do rock climbing along the way but best of all the trek was adventurous, with some interesting bunny climbs over the rocks, yet not dangerous at all. Kids enjoyed it a lot.Good for kids over 8.

2022-10-02 00:56:20The parking has been recently renovated, it is clean and very well maintained. There is a fee to park in the parking (unless you have the annual pass for state parks!). There are plenty of public restrooms, and a few trails starting right from the parking, so one can jump into hiking right out of the car.
