Started as a co-op of local farmers over 100 years ago. Now has grown to a fun stop along your road trip. I love stopping here in the spring months. There a lot of local fruits. Summertime in this area does get hot! But you can escape the heat by dining in a restaurant they have on site.

Just make the stop. You have to purchase the dried strawberries, trust me. The pistachios are delicious and also the dried mango. Oh, the pomegranate jelly is delicious. Theres a ton of succulents outside to purchase.

Best place to do your fruit shopping. Amazing place. The variety and quality of their fruit products has to be seen to be believed.The collection of antiques gives you good peep into the history of farming.And on top of it the restaurant serves really nice fare.

Its a nice in between, theres a lot of things to do. Theres also a lot of fresh fruit and other things you could get like ice cream or a small train ride around the area. Its worth the stop just to make good memories.

We took a stop from our road trip. It has restaurant, stores selling fresh farm produce, dried and preserved fruits including almonds, walnuts, pistachios. The dates filled walnuts are delicious. Fudge is highly recommended. There are rides for small children and peacocks all over the establishment.

We used to love this place. We would stop on our way out and again on our way back. Pretty much everything that made it awesome is gone. It used to feel kinda homey but now it feels more commercial. This is all based on our last four visits. No samples, no wine tasting, the prices now are through the roof. I used to buy stuff every stop. Now I just dont. The restaurant is good and so is the deli. Its still a great place to stop and stretch your legs and make use of clean bathrooms. Sadly, were done with shopping here.

My son and I decided to stop by Casa de Fruta Orchard Restaurant on our way to Sonora last week. From the moment we walked through the door to paying for our meals our dining experience was wonderful. Our server was attentive, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was relaxing. I highly recommend this establishment.

I love this place and I stop by every single time Im near it. However I have to say that this last time that I bought pistachios we were all extremely disappointed as they no longer taste the same. I dont know if its because theyre individually pre-bag now but the flavor is just not there on the garlic pistachios even my 9-year-old said they tasted different. I also went to the restaurant for the first time ever. The steak was delicious but they served me rotten lettuce in my salad, the rice was clumpy and when I asked for a little bit more strawberry in the lemonade the waitress put so much that I couldnt even drink it.

Love stopping on our way home from the coast. Items are pretty pricey but worth the money. The kids enjoyed stopping at the playground. We didnt have a chance to ride the train or carousel but the kids got to seenit in action. Apparently both rides have a schedule and they stop at a certain time of the day. Ill assume its 5pm on Sundays because thats about the time we got there. Super fun for the kids, nonetheless. Cool experience for them on their way home. Staff was helpful in the stores and the bathrooms were clean

We were looking for a truck stop and got there late to a large area for trucks and RVs for the night. There was a 24hr mini market and restaurant there with gas and Tesla chargers. Some trucks idled all night and you could hear one of the peacocks yell occasionally which we saw 2 the next morning with a bunch of chickens in the garden area out back with old farming machinery, a little running train, fountains, double tiered marry go round, and just a lot of cool things to see. The fruit shop and icecream shop there too with a lot of stuff to buy. Plenty of parking. Was surprisingly busy by 9am when we left.

It was a great get-a-way place. We have been there several times now, and its always friendly, clean, and fun. The spaces are really close together, so hopefully you get good neighbors. We love to visit the winery and see the wild peacocks wander around. Great area to walk dogs, and just walk and see cool stuff. All the old machinery is cool to look at and imagine how hard people worked back in the day. The winery has awesome bartenders and amazing wine..so much so..we signed up to be members, lol. Prices are reasonable and precise. We will visit again.

Always a fun rest break on your way from the Bay area to the Central Valley. Neat antique farm equipment, kids rides and when running, a train. The pond has a ton of turtles and a few big carp hanging out. Pond is dirty though. You can get a wide range of food items and snacks to carry you over to the next stop.

Great place to visit. We stopped here to show our granddaughter. Even though the train and carousel wasnt open due to COVID we had a great time. She got to see the peacocks and play at the park. Then we visited the candy store. Great time had by all.

Truck parking available! This is a hidden gem. Restaurant is kind of expensive but delicious! I am truly thankful they had truck parking so we could wander around the shops and see the peacocks, ducks and turtles.

A great little Refuge from the Road, love getting my coffee and pastry at Casa de Sweets in the morning, or a burrito and beer in the afternoon, or sit-down meal with a glass of wine at Casa de Restaurant in the evening lol. Do it all I say! I regret I dont have any pics of the choo choo train. One thing I need to do before my times up is to experience the Renaissance Fair, which is held every Fall. lt sounds like a hoot and Ive got a costume thats languishing in my closet for it...Tally ho!

Always a great place to stop by and enjoy the moment. Only concern is maybe fix the little hill bridge. Its falling apart. If not fixing, maybe put up a barrier, caution, do not enter, unsafe. Bolts came off, nails are off, boards are sticking up. Dangerous for kids.

I’ve stayed at the Cassa de Fruta RV park several times. Their premium spaces are exceptionally roomy with plenty a room between your neighbor. Full hook ups offer up to 30 A of electrical. There are lots of trees so do not be disappointed if your rooftop satellite dish does not connect. The restaurant and fruit stand are close by and the Chevron station offers diesel. This is a perfect stop over between the San Joaquin Valley in Monterey peninsula.

Outside of the fact that the RV parking is just a sectioned parking lot, the staff is always friendly and the restrooms clean. The water is questionable, but there is a gas station and restaurant within walking distance. Its always a pleasure to visit the winery and see Charlie and enjoy the wonderful fruit wines! All of there wines are pretty good offering a little something from everyone. The peacocks are a beautiful touch to the country scenery!

I come here as a rest stop to stretch my legs, use the bathroom, and buy some goodies. I hadnt been since before COVID and noticed that their fruit, nuts, and candy are individually packaged. Prior, they had the food open in barrels where it was self serve. I really like this as it protects from bugs and germs. The only thing is that yeesh the cost of some the items are pricey!

We stop here on our way to the coast almost everytime. The place has a very nice restaurant and depending on when you arrive, they serve breakfast, lunch, and supper here.The staff here are very Friendly and will help you in any way they can. There is a restaurant out back, which is clean and conveniently located in the parking lot.There are wild peacocks roaming the grounds and not afraid of guests stopping in. There is a small carousel along with a miniature train ride for kids.There is a wine shop and candy store but the main fruit stand has anything a traveler needs to snack on. Overall this is a stop worth stopping into.

We recently stayed at the Casa de Fruta RV resort.We were originally supposed be in the bottom orchard area but luckily we were able to move to the grass section. We were there for 3 nights and to enjoy the Northern California Renaissance faire.We have been here before so we know that when you come for Pirate weekend it is going to be loud. But this time it wasnt bad. We had to leave a day early because of a personal emergency and they kindly refunded us for the last night.We really love this place and cant wait to come back again.Plus we always come back with so many goodies from the shops.

Great place for the kids. A diesel locomotive runs around the perimeter with lots of old vehicles to look at. A pond has ducks and terrapins by the play ground. The shops are chocked with fruit and gifts. There is wine tasting for the adults too. The Malbec is terrific !

This is a great midway stopping point - but be careful. Time can pass rather quickly without realizing how much time has passed. There is something for everyone. They have a restaurant, petting zoo, train, merry go round, ice cream shop, playground, camping area, fruits, nuts, and candy. The bathrooms are fairly clean and well kept for the most part.

Once you go here youll want to revisit over and over again. The store has a great variety of fruits, nuts, wine, candy and much more. There is a restaurant attached and the food is very good. The staff at all the shops are super friendly and helpful as well. Casa de Fruta is easy to get to and you wont be disappointed stopping here for whatever your needs are. This is a place worth visiting just in and of itself.

Ive always enjoyed this as a stop just to get out of the car and use the restroom. Check out their fun Casa DE fruita everything. Great place for kids. They have a chocolate shop, and a pie shop, a candy shop and lots of nuts and fun things to look at. Theres a train to ride. Theres a restaurant. Theres a lake and some ducks and a little overlook. Always a fun place to stop although it is expensive.

It was a great, fun stop after driving through the boring I-5. We spent one night at the RV resort which was too short. Campground was spacious and clean, we were the only RV in that area for the night. Got prime-rib dinner from the restaurant to go and enjoyed it greatly! We were there on Sunday for our Daughters 20th bday. (She is a Special Needs person). Just as we arrived, the Carousel was being closed due to weather. Gerald, the ride Operator got permission to run one more round, allowing our Family a Birthday ride. Beyond this kindness, he interacted with our Daughter, who is non verbal, he wasnt put off by that. He is a wonderful example of the overall welcoming feel of this awesome resort.

Casa de fruta is a great rest stop if you travel between the central valley and Bay Area via Gilroy. You can buy produce, sweets and grocery product produced by nearby farms (although its pricey). Children can explore old machinery exhibited outside or theres also a playground. Public restrooms which a larger group can go through in a reasonable amount of time. There are some peacocks around as well

Just stopped in after taking one of our adult daughters to san jose airport she is a soldier in the U.S Army just graduated Ft. Lee and about to be shipped out over seas to South Korea right before Xmas. so this is our old stop for well over 25 years with our family much less when we grew up 🫠 now its our new place every flight she comes back home to us now 🫡🪖🇺🇸 enlisted for 7 years so this place is perfect 🥰 to stop n just remember to breathe and take a lil time to just walk around and enjoy it. I travel between the Motherlode and Monterey frequently. I never miss a stop at the amazing Casa de Fruta. This is way way more than fruit stand. Restaurant, deli, ice cream and coffee shop, games and playground including tiny train for kids, peacocks everywhere, great prices on gasoline ... And if course, the store with trucks load of California fruit and nuts, candies and baked goods, flowers and succulents. Its likely the one stop shop for everything good about the Golden State

I liked coming here but recently a older lady probably Hispanic accused my boyfriend of touching strawberries for no reason. When they accidentally fell and he was kindly trying to put them back in the small tiny basket. Then of course the lady treats us like children saying “don’t touch”. When nowhere does it say to not touch strawberries? Ya’ll monitoring strawberries now ? It’s not like we were there trying to touch every single strawberry. Just kindly putting them back in the basket.Ruined my view the way I see this place and the employees.

This is a restroom stop between home and Monterey. They offer a large variety of fruits, nuts and candy. Also there is a wine tasting building, a candy store and restaurant at this location. No where to go, fun to just drive here for a pleasant day ride. Things are a little expensive, but every now and then okay to splurge. LOL

I love bringing my kids here to ride the train and carousel, check out the wildlife, the pumpkin patche, camping and the renaissance faire! All around fun and the restaurant has decent food and prices too. Good place to stop and grab passing through, or hang out for a couple hrs with the family.

Its a farm town right in the middle of an old pass. Yes prices are high. Do you know how hard it is to ship there.The owners of the entire property are very nice friendly people who I have had the pleasure of meeting once. Everything is pricey no doubt its business. 30 Miles in either direction you find cheaper things but nothing as pretty or quite. So be smart plan head and enjoy the entire property. I stop here every time I pass to relax and enjoy the rest before the stressful drives ahead.Also the famous renaissance faire is here during the fall which I suggest you visit if your travel plans fit to stop for the day. Theres a lot of positive things I can say about this place however I have an amazing sandwich I ordered here to eat and peacocks to watch. Come see for yourself.

A delightful place to stop on the way up North. The weekend we stopped there were Fall displays. There is a train to ride to see the property and what it has to offer. The fruit and vegetable stand was amazing. We love to buy local and this had so many offerings to pick from. It is close enough to places like Gilroy and Monterey Bay. Both of which we visited. While at Casa, we ate at the restaurant,which was adequate and generous in portions. Be prepared depending upon the season, for big swings of temperatures. It was high 80s during the day and low 40s at night. Overall it was a fun time. We did not use the facilities.

We stayed one week the end of January. The park was about 1/3 full. It was quiet, we slept well. We enjoyed the restaurant. The fruit stand and deli were pricey. The laundromat was clean and used Bluetooth or coins. The restrooms were clean enough, but not heated. It was very cold. The heaters in the shower dId not work No hot water in the bathroom sinks. I would prefer warmer water in the showers. In general I would give them 4 stars but the rv park in need of maintenance.

This is a little gem on the way to Monterey from the San Joaquin Valley. Pull through spaces, nice pool, entertainment, clean facilities. The staff is quite helpful and accommodating. Nearby in the complex are a 24 hr restaurant and a deli, along with a wine shop, candy shop, farm equipment museum, train ride for the kids. This place is a welcome diversion for a few hours or a few days. Kudos to a staff member named Selena. She went above and beyond during the stay there. She deserves a raise.

For what it is, Casa de Fruta, is a great tourist stop. Although its a bit overpriced, at base, it really IS a huge, broadly stocked, fruit stand. LOTS of tourist worthy sidelines here, as well. A great little Coffee Shop/Diner style restaurant, an Ice Cream shop, animals and a great double decker Carousel for the kiddies. Theyve even got an overnight campground if you need it. RV park is nothing special, asphalt jungle. Speaking of asphalt, dont bother putting your jacks down if you have a diesel pusher because theres either water under their blacktop or the blacktop job sucked. My jacks sunk right in like a knife through butter and it was 60F outside. Were from up north and the whole place looks like what wed call frost heaves. The stores and stand are pretty cool, if you dont plan on buying anything. Way too expensive. $11/lb for almonds?! You can literally go 1 mile down the road and pay $4. $20/lb for chocolate? Gimme a break. Its a tourist trap for sure.

We always stop at Casa de Fruta its our go-to place in between Watsonville in Los Banos or Fresno or Clovis anytime were traveling East but they have a little bit of everything there and Im sure anybody that is reading this has been there once or twice before in their Journeys back and forth here and there very pleasant surroundings respectful people all the employees are very helpful bathrooms are always clean gets a little congested but you have to expect that with a place like Casa de Fruta because its so popular youre always welcome thats how I feel about Casa de Fruta been going there for years.

You can park your Motor Home. You can rent a Hotel/Motel room. The Food is delicious whether its Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner. Desserts are irresistible! We had reservations for 7/4 ahead of time. Got to the camp ground, no picnic table. What are we supposed to eat on? And the best they can do is 1st thing Friday morning. Well daylight breaks at 6am, not 11am.Boyfriend says he has camped here many times before and daily, they would clean the porta potties. Well it was pretty full Thursday and today (Friday) it is rank and filthy. Service and sanitation is deplorable .The campground itself is nice.
