Ive been coming here for my entire life. When I was a kid, my grandparents would stop off and let me ride the train and get some candy from the shop. Now I bring my kids here when we are passing through.I love that I can charge my car and grab some food from the diner. The food here is great and made to order. The staff are always amazing! Friendly and attentive. Especially Apryll! She always remembers me and my kids out of the thousand she must see every week. It really makes it feel like a family place.This place is great to camp at, RV or tent. The train rides and other playground stuff for the kids is great. I always pick up a bottle or two of wine for myself as well. Their fruit wines are excellent.

Casa de Fruta is a gem of a destination! My family and I have had the pleasure of camping here multiple times, and each visit is truly memorable. The campground offers everything we need for a comfortable stay, from the clean facilities to the friendly and helpful staff. We love the convenience of having a gas station right on site, along with a diner serving delicious meals and a store stocked with goodies. And who can resist the wine tasting? Casa de Fruta truly offers something for everyone. With its beautiful surroundings and excellent amenities, its no wonder we keep coming back. We cant wait to return for more unforgettable experiences in the future!

Love stopping here whenever I can!! The people are always friendly, the food and gift shops are awesome. My son also loves the train by the restrooms to climb on. If youre ever passing through, its a must to stop and check out.

Its pretty pricey now. Used to have more fresh fruit available. Now its mostly prepacked, and you can find a better selection of fresh fruit at local fruit stands in Gilroy- plus much better prices.The train, carousel, and park are good for kids. The train was $5, and the carousel was $3.50. 1 adult can ride free with each child, so the price is fair. Having visited here often over the years, I was disappointed. Im not sure I will stop again. We made a detour on our trip from AZ this time.

Excellent pit stop, good facilities and greats options for snack foods or full on meals. Great spot to let the kids run around. When in season or weekends, more things are open: ice cream parlors, mini train for kids, carousel, etc. good spot for people watching too.Easy access right off the highway, 30 seconds out of the way.

The best wine choices. I love the apricot and pomegranate wines. So good. 2/1 on some wines. I like apricot the mostThey have peacocks walking around and all kinds of other birds. Its a beautiful pit stop between los Angeles and the bay area

The metal play area definitely needs an upgrade it is way too hot to be allowing kids to play on it with the Sun out. The train ride is still great. A lot of great finds and fun stuff to do well worth the stop every time.

Did not eat during this stop. The bathrooms were clean. Went into the store. You can taste 3 different wines at no charge. I highly recommend the pomegranate wine. The fresh strawberries were so sweet and juicy.

This is a great spot to get out and stretch your legs. So many things for kids to see. A double decker carousel, peacocks, ducks, and lots of room to run around. Great ice cream shop, restaurant, and produce stand

Great place, however does not honor their posted “AAA campground” sign. Was told it’s only for cabin rentals. Other than that it’s pricey without discount incentives. Also, $5.00 for each dog is high as well

This place is a middle point when traveling to the beach or just the west side in general. Easy stop for a meal, drink, rest, visit, experience, and more. Restrooms usually clean, the store has many things to get from souvenirs and food. So overall, I recommend this place if you are driving by.

We love to stop here and relax a bit on our trips into Monterey. We love the location. We always have to grab some of the dehydrated fruit (YUMMY) and other goodies. We have always grabbed something quick to munch on and never tried the actual restaurant until last Wednesday. My wife and I both got Bacon cheese burgers. Unfortunately they were $16 dollars each which isnt a bad price for a good meal but these were the worst burgers we have been served anywhere. Dry overcooked and sloppily put together even the fries and onion rings were so fried hard we couldnt eat them. We still rate the whole place a high 4 but just wont be eating in the restaurant anymore.

This place is full of racist!! Was waiting to be seated and watched them seat Americans while other people of color were past on and when they complained. One employee asked then to leave that there was a Mexican restaurant down the road!! We did not stay after we saw this. Also very dirty employees smoking in plain site that worked In the restaurant. Not good!!!

This is a must stop for all your yummy needs. This place has it all from candies,dry fruit, fresh fruit,nuts and gift set with all of the above and more. The location has a cute park with a train. I have been going here for years and purchasing wine, food, and other products. However, last time we stopped here, we bought several bottles of wine, and I gave one to a friend which was spoiled. I contacted a person who said they were a partial owner and she promised to send another bottle to my friend. It has been over a month, and my friend has not received it. I am very disappointed about this, so If this issue is not resolved, I will no longer be stopping here, as I can find plenty of other places to give my business to.

This is not a hotel but it does have a restaurant, snacks, coffee and baked goods shop & campgrounds. This place is great for pit stops to and from LA, central valley, Vegas, etc. I hope it never goes out of business. My wife and I love it.

Great fruit stand along with a restaurant and sandwich shop. First of all there is alot to chose from including fruits,nuts,candy,olives,salsa etc..but be warned everything is over priced. $3.99 for a pound of mandarins! The sandwich shop was very disappointing I ordered a roast beef with triple meat for $16.95 it was not worth it even with the bag of chips and soda that came with it. The meat was very thin definitely not triple meat the roll was very thick so basically all bread and very little meat. To sum Casa De Fruta up its a tourist trap.

They changed the way you get in the building. You have to park and then walk around to the front of the building. I miss the old way of getting in. I heard of inflation, but the prices are above and beyond expensive. I used to really like that place, but like everything else, its time to move on 😞

We absolutely HAVE to stop at this fabulous place, it has several buildings, all offering wonderful food stuffs like jams and jellies, Amish apple butter, tons of cheeses and all kinds of wonderful fruits and veggies. Depending on the building, you can buy just about everything, wines, sandwiches, hot sauce, trinkets and more. Well worth stopping for, and there are a lot of kid friendly things to do and look at like this amazing train.

Very nice place to stop for a travel break. Theres a huge fruit stand with much more than fruit to buy. A restaraunt, a candy and ice cream shop and camping facilities. Theres also a playground and ponds with ducks, geese and many peacocks. We enjoyed looking around. The bathroom facilities were clean but not big, there was a wait to use it.

Ive been stopping here for 32 years. It holds so many memories and we continue to make many more. We stop here every time we travel from southern California to northern California both ways. Great food in the restaurant and friendly customer service in every store. We get ice cream and coffee in the candy store, souvineers and snacks in the fruit stand section, lunch in the restraunt, train rides, the carousel, and the gas station. Everyone that works there is friendly. The bathrooms are always well stocked and clean. We always walk the dogs around and let the kiddos play at the playground. It gets very very busy on holidays and weekends. Its fun to look at all of the antique farm equipment while inwalk the dogs. They have a Tesla charging station and a campground although Ive never used those. Definitely will stop here for many years to come.

They have truck parking, not much but worth a try to get a spot. Really great food, huge portions in restaurant. The winery building has a sandwich counter, Chevron has burritos, there is a coffee shop too and produce market has all kinds of fresh fruit and specialty items. If you are a truck driver looking to do a 10 or a meal break. This is a great stop. Especially because very little truck parking around bay area at all so if you have to drive 67+ miles for a place to park its a treat to be here rather than one of the dirty truck stop chains we see every day.

We came here to charge our Tesla. It was such a nice experience. This is a tourist spot all on its own. We ran into the winery to grab a few bottles of wine on our way to a sunset visit to the ocean. They have a merry go round, a fully functional mini-train to ride around the back of the shops.You name it, they probably sell it.

Stopped through on a trip down south to visit my girlfriend and got a few bottles of wine for us. Free taste testing of 3 one ounce pours at the wine and deli building while I waited for my sandwich.Charlie took care of me and was incredible to talk to and very knowledgeable. Absolutely fantastic human and cant say enough about the quality of service he provided. Helped me select 3 wines to take down to my partner based on our flavor preferences and was an all around excellent bar tend during the taste testing.The sandwich was fantastic with the perfect amount of heat and perfectly filling. Casa de Fruta is a beautiful place to stop and stretch your legs after a long drive. We stopped here on our way to the coast to eat a delicious lunch I made for my boyfriend and myself. We parked in a shaded spot to eat lunch and spotted peacocks walking the property. We didnt have time to walk around this time. On my previous trip here, I enjoyed walking around and shopping for snacks and fruit.

A hidden gem 💎. As a posed to going to an amusement park this location is free to visit. Between the wine tasting/gift shop, desert shop or restaurant, most adults will walk away quite fulfilled. For little ones you have a small playground, pond with turtles 🐢 & train (runs in summer), peacocks 🦚 walking around everywhere and nice park to walk around. We spent a couple hrs there and enjoyed every second.

This is a must-stop shop whenever paying through Hollister. Great little spot with a restaurant and market. The market has tons of fruits and nuts, chocolates and other candies. I always grab their fruit chews (they are the absolute best) and a couple bottles of their fruit wines. Apricot and pomegranate are the best ones. Pour a glass glass and top it with a little soda water. Delish!

This is such a special place. Perfect for travalers and locals, family, friends and kids to be entertained and eat. I gave only 3 stars due to horrible service, the waiter left dirty plates on our table for over 10 minutes I had to ask for a refill, my aunt asked about bloody Marys he said they didnt have drinks, but the menu said they did so when he returned my aunt asked for one with cucumbers instead of celery he was rude in general about it. Great rest stop on highway 152. Always enjoyed stopping here with my parents when I was just kid now my kids love it. Majority of attractions have been outdated so they modernized it. Old metal equipment replaced with new jungle gym, but swings are the same so is monkey bars. They pulled 2 of they other park play areas out now just empty space. Train still runs showing you the entire grounds. A carousel sits behind candy shop yet it seems to always be out of order. The zoo hasnt been open for decades. The mining shop is always closed too. Not to fret the fruit stand candy shops and restaurants are open. Wine tasting and gas station with several restroom on site. If your tired rest up at they motel or bring your camper park on the trailer park. Check out the special events calendar fir renaissance fair and pow wows.

As a Modesto native, casa de fruta has always been a must stop on the way to Santa Cruz or Monterey. From an early age I can remember breaking up the trip to sunset beach with a stop here. And its something we have incorporated with our 3 boys as well. Many people stay here in rvs overnite with great reviews, but I have never experienced that. It has always been a place to get an awesome sandwich or hand made burrito from the gas station ( trust me lol ) in my experience, on the way to our final destination.It has a pond with 100s of turtles, a merry go round and a train that transverses the property. As well as a decent playground. It features a full service restaurant and a wine store/deli with a sandwich counter, as well as an ice cream and candy store.

This is a lovely complex that offers a lot for anyone passing through. We didnt eat at the restaurant, but we spent an hour walking around the shops and premises. Really dig the goods they sell here, especially the dried fruit. The candy store also has a large variety of sweets. Parking was ample and you can find all sorts of birds strolling around. Casa De Fruta has everything for everyone! The store is stocked full of all the candy and dried and fresh fruits you could imagine, as well as jams and sauces.
