2024-03-03 17:12:10Came here to get a quick cheap and fast breakfast and was absolutely blown away. The food here is classic diner fare. Pancakes were so fluffy and delicious, biscuits were soft and gravy was perfectly made. My boyfriend’s chicken sandwich was really tasty and everything was so fresh. Even the coffee was good! Our waiter was so nice and funny and all the other workers were friendly and kind! Will definitely be coming back. This seems like a neighborhood favorite.

2024-03-04 17:29:40Man-O-Man, Carols Restaurant sure was a sight for sore eyes! I can hardly wait. We finished up with the fresh water sea trials on Rodeo Cowboys new boat, and I dropped him off at his Porcupine breeding center, The Pokey Pokers there on the Arden Expressway, where their motto is The Pokey Pokers poke the hardestWell, Ill have to punch Rodeo in the belly for thinking that one up. I then put the Ram into Giddy Up and scooted back to Carols Restaurant as fast as I could go, they sure put out a great meal, no matter what time of the day, whether its breakfast, lunch or dinner youll get an Amazing meal!5 stars all day long. ☆☆☆☆☆

2023-11-20 01:35:29Tried this local favorite for the first time. Plenty of street parking and a parking lot behind. Lots of coffee refills, not a bad wait for food. Tried their corned beef hash: there were nice pieces of corned beef, a nice crust on the hash browns and some thick sourdough toast. The French toast was thick with a light crust. So tasty. We finished it even though our stomachs were full. We’ll be back.

2023-08-01 10:26:17I was pleased with my breakfast but my friends breakfast included Refried beans and there were hard burned chunks of beans in the meal. It was totally gross.. I have eaten at this restraunt in the past and have had good experiences and even ordered by doordash to my house. As you can see the pancakes were amazing so Im going to just say beware of the Refried beans.. To be fair we didnt point it out to them or ask them to fix it. I just think the cook should slow down and take a little more care when plating food. This is a simple place with down to earth staff so dont expect anything booshie.. lol.. over all still a place I would continue to go to..

2024-05-31 23:52:27Was fantastic portions are HUUGE! Can tell a lot about a restaurant by their gravy tasted homemade and cooked right. Servers were very attentive. Took a Lil long but you cant rush perfection, plus they were packed so I understand the wait.

2024-06-02 06:48:40My favorite diner in the Sacramento area. Old fashioned “greasy spoon” diner always full of friendly locals. Reminds you that West Sacramento is still just a small town even though it’s on the doorstep of the state capitol.Reasonably priced, big menu. Classic diner fare and some interesting specials every now and then. I almost always go with bacon, eggs over medium, home fries, and a biscuit. Last time I got the French toast and it was the biggest thickest French toast I have ever seen.Friendly staff, been going there for years and always see the same faces which tells me that the owners are doing something right.I don’t live in west sac anymore but I still pop into Carol’s when I get the chance.

2024-05-07 21:42:19I liked this place, Ive been here a few times since I came across it. It is nothing too special in the design department, lots of kitschy posters on the walls befitting a cafe/restaurant. Ive only had occasion to go on the weekend, and the place is usually packed with diners and those waiting to be seated. I noticed that if you arent one of the regulars, you may be in for a longer wait than those they know by name. I waited about 45 minutes each time Ive gone and watched others come in after and get seated more quickly. But the wait is worth it. Everything I have tried has been amazing. The portions are big enough to get two meals out of. Perhaps it is not so packed on the weekdays. Ill have to check that out.

2024-05-22 23:59:07Everything was super good and the waitress was really helpful! She gave my husband an option to have a pancake instead of the other options so I said yes please (he doesn’t like them but I do!) they were the perfect size and so good 😋 we’ll definitely go back!

2024-03-27 02:44:17Classic breakfast place with the most friendly staff. I have visited more than 10 times for breakfast. The food is simple and consistent and this is a no-nonsense restaurant. Most people who visit are regulars and the staff know them by name and even their orders. Reminded me of old country restaurants but in Sacramento city. Highly recommended.
