Ive been playing disc golf @ Carmichael Park over 10 years now. One disappointing thing for me is, they have had to cut down guit a few older trees through the years. I liked it when it felt like it was in a forest type of Park 🏞️

Great park. From kids.. basketball.. baseball. . Some disc sport I know nothing about.. to farmers market.. soccer. Dog area.. even pokemon groups. This place has everything but water slides.

There is so MUCH parking here and the space is huge. This park has it all: play structure for kids, disk golf, tennis court,, baseball diamond, basketball court, field hockey nets, dog park, community center... I wasnt looking for and barbecue pits, so I dont know what that situation is like. The seating areas are very spread out, like few and far between and theres not much for group settings. Im also not sure what the bathroom situation is.

We had an Easter bbq and egg hunt by the baseball field a nice secluded area we had a great time and took the kids to play at the playground afterwards. We brought bat and ball, bubbles, arts n crafts, kites, babies jumphouse, they all had so much fun and for adults we had bean bag toss, and limbo set up and music. It was a great experience we drove from Clearlake California to get here two hour drive well worth it.

My dogs love the swimming pool and extremely large play area. There are plenty of poop pickup facilities, and seating in shade and sun. It does have an unkempt feel and there is lots of dirt... So we always go home dirty - which the dogs love.

Craft show at the Veterans Hall was a huge success. It was in support of Girl Scout troop #3191. The girls made amazing items perfect for gift giving so did the other vendors.

This is a pretty kool disc golf course and I feel many people are not paying attention to disc golf players. People with their dogs, kids, Pokémon goers, baseball player parents parking their cars next to disc baskets are often oblivious to flying discs that could knock someone out or break windows.

I always have a good time here and even when I thought I lost my bag and had to call around it was panicking and everything calling the staff was really easy they were very helpful very considerate and I always have a great time yes something for everybody theres always a lot of kids laughing so its a good part I love it!!

In the heart of Fair Oaks corridor in Carmichael, this park has a disc golf 9 hole course, dog park (small and large breeds have separate social areas, 2+ baseball diamonds, basketball court, 6 tennis courts, bocchi ball rec area, pavilion with stage, kids play area with monkey gym, slide, etc., covered picnic area with bbqs w/deposit, male/female restrooms with sink, and plenty of space for anything leisure like geocaching and lounging.

The restrooms are clean and have toilet paper, working soap dispenser too. Great playground. Ill be coming back with my kids. Come on, City of Sacramento, get it together! Yes, the more you head towards downtown, the more homeless there are who use public facilities.

Practice course, still challenging, and multiple hole placements. Great place to try new ways to throw discs and practice with less chances to lose a disc. Played today, so much fun. Even better than a good day at work.

Love the farmers market in Sundays, dog park almost always has other dogs in it. Roads could be better maintained but ample parking! Plenty of game space, basketball court, tennis courts, solo wall, disc golf set up! Theres another game by the small dog park, not sure what it is though.

Just simply put, one of the nicest and best outdoor farmers markets in all the region. Ive given this farmers market a lot of my business, and let me tell you these guys dont dissapoint. For the most part the produce and products Ive seen appear very fresh and well taken care of. So if your in the market for some fresh local produce, why not give this farmers market a try!

Its a great place to sit, relax & watch the wild animals. Bring nuts, bc the 🐿️ squirrels are hungry & are very friendly. I enjoy relaxing & watching all the animals play. If you want to bring your dog, they have 2 dog parks. If you have children, bring them to enjoy the playground. Its a beautiful park.

We try to come here for the farmers market on Sundays. First, we make a trip to the dog park so the pups can get their run on, and then we walk the farmers market. We love this little market so much! The fruit and vegetables are always so fresh and good, so far Ive never had any bad products from here. Some of the vendors even remember me and my dog... which tells me they arent just there to make money. They remember the people and are always kind. We always come back! ❤️

Went to a concert here tonight for the first time. The band was Hipper than Hip and they were amazing. The dance area was filled the entire time. Such a great venue and we will definitely be going to more concerts here.

This isnt our go to park, the first few times we have gone here it looked pretty bad. I think since that pokemon game has come out and there is some pokestops here there is more kids and also the police have been on top of removing the homless and the tweakers who try and hang out here. There is a small dog park here by the playground. I like how we can park right by the playground. Stroller friendly which is a plus!

I ordered B.L.T. salmon and ended with a B.L.T. NO salmon, salon sandwich. By the time my requested salmon came, all the 8 persons in my group were almost done with their meal.We requested the shade to be pulled obove us to avoid the sun. The same waitress said Ill do it and forgot about it. We had to actually go to the bar and find someone to help. He did, but it slid again because he didnt do it right.We couldnt get separate checks, which is always our preference. The server said well get one itemized bill. This didnt happen.Even though there were tables that could be pulled together to accommodate our 9-person group, we were kept waiting. We had to speak up about the available tables.We havent had such poor service before at Bella Bru

This is a great park! However, I seen a few people bothering a homeless person who was doing nothing just enjoying the day. Not all homeless people are dirt bags and some are just having a streak of bad luck. So give some a break. It isnt easy being homeless, Im sure its not easy.

So I caught a cold and I was tired of being couped up in the apartment so I decided to go to the park… it was pretty nice actually I chilled on a bench in the sun to warm my skin and face up… nobody bothered me, a sheriffs dept. cruiser drove by and scanned the parking lot for scumbags but didnt find any. I enjoyed myself there it was pretty nice actually. And theres a mini dog area too.

Decent park of a decent size. Its about half covered by trees and there arent a ton of tables, so if youre aiming to come for a picnic, get here early! The playground looks pretty cool, and the restrooms are pretty good. The tennis courts were pretty busy on the weekend. Fair amount of grassy areas too but its not super well maintained in some areas. Theres a dog park too. Its kind of a weird layout but if you need a decent sized park, this will do.

I always enjoy this park. Theres a lot to do here. Things that are here all the time: dog park (including a small dog side), softball, two playgrounds (one for littler kids), basketball, tennis, bocce ball and disc golf. Im probably forgetting some things. There are also some covered picnic and BBQ areas you can reserve, and picnic tables throughout the park with BBQs near some of them. On the practical side, the park also has restrooms that are kept pretty clean (it is a park bathroom so nothing fancy, but clean).They also have lots of special events such as monthly pancake breakfasts, the Sunday farmers market, concerts on summer weekends, food truck night, Founders day and more. Park and Rec classes and meetings are held in the indoor community meeting area.Possibly my favorite thing is the wall at the corner with a beautiful mural depicting the history of the area.I live up the street from this park and Im so glad! I enjoy having such a great park very close.

We rescued our Maligator from the shelter and slowly socializing him. Today was our first trip to the dog Park and he was really nervous at first but after a walk around on the leash we sat on the picnic tables and unleashed him letting him get used to his surroundings on his own terms. He did great and the other pet owners were very supportive. Overall this is a great place for socializing your dog.

I grew up in Carmichael, and sadly, its not just this park that deserves no stars. The homeless in the play structures and the fact that parents have to take a real good look all around for used needles from said homeless, is enough said. Add to that the homeless untrained and aggressive, unleashed dogs at the dog park and outside the dog park. Top Notch park, family friendly indeed. Shame on our little suburb.

Im really disappointed they opened that back parking area again, it was really nice having it closed and car free, especially as some people park back there and linger/do shady things. The pavement could also really use updating, it seems like maybe the budget isnt very big for the park? The basketball court has no nets and looks run down. The playground area is a little disappointing with not a lot of variety, especially for toddlers. Overall we enjoy coming here for the market and the events but would like to see this park get some love and attention.

This is a really nice park. Has big and small dog parks as well as two baseball fields. Two playgrounds with lots of open grass as well as an amphitheater. And to top it all off a nice little nine hole disc golf course runs three all of these feature attractions. Great place to take the kids or the dogs and have a good time.

There was a taco truck there and they have some great El pastor fries.The local selection was amazing, you can buy organic soaps and unfiltered organic honey.Also your run of the mill veggies.Definitely come here

Very nice park! Just wish there was at least some shade for the kids to play. The slide and equipment was too hot to actually play on except the climbing pyramid which is mostly rope (and fun to climb). Plant some trees or get some kind of a canopy for those little ones! :)

Courts are well maintained and very well lit up with bright lights around the entire surrounding area. Parking is great with ample spaces and no potholes that I could see. Lower courts have 60 minute timers while upper courts have siren 🚨 signal to notify you lights will turn off of button not pushed again. Overall good experience and will definitely come play again with friends and family.

This is a well kept up dog park with plenty of seating and chairs. The only drawback is some people have taken their pets so long, they think they own the park; sometimes they nitpick, but usually not. Some dog owners are friendly but not all.

Really nice and big park with a baseball field, basketball court, tennis courts, frisbee area, large and small kids playgrounds and a fenced dog park also. This park has lots of great community events like food truck Thursdays, movies in the park, Easter Egg Hunt, Christmas Tree Lighting, and even a weekly Farmers Market on Sundays. I went here all the time as a kid, and it was a great place to have fun and hang out with friends and family. I love the dog parks! However, recently, it has become a little overrun by people who are homeless, which affects the atmosphere there. Also, it seems like there are disc golfers everywhere, and the places where I used to play football and volleyball are now reserved for disc golf only. Overall, I still love it! I go on walks and bring my dog there all the time.

Went for a girls 2 day softball tournament. Huge park, 4 softball fields, play structure, dog park, separate for large and small dogs, restrooms. The park needs some updating especially for spectaters, needs more bleachers Lots of nice large old trees providing shade. For this event they REALLY needed more trash cans that should have been emptied after 1st day. They did add some portapotties but lacked any maintenance for replenishing toilet paper and they were gross!! Ran out of basic necessities 1st day, 2nd day was horrible!! This park has definite pluses but for 2 day events much was lacking.

This was a ok kind of park with a big playground and some picnic tables too. There is a large covered area with tables underneath and but you probably have to reserve that place for a event. The grass needs to be cut and the asphalt parking areas need to have the holes filled then repaved.

The park is really nice and well maintained. We mainly came for the dog park since we have no kids but have dogs. It started out fine, but over time we started noticing more and more people who do not control their dogs properly. They let the dogs do whatever they want, dont clean up after their dogs and think its no big deal when confronted about it. Not all the people are like this, but there are enough that we will be finding another dog park till this is figured out.

Excellent park! One of the best in Sacramento. Disc golf, baseball diamonds, tennis, Basketball, a stroll through the grass, seems to have something for everyone. Even a dog park. Even though its on Fair Oaks, you dont really hear the cars. The Post Office does a good job blocking the noise 😁👍

New playground is OK for 30-45 min but old playground was better. New playground gets boring. Roads are unsuitable for strollers and children. No walking path, no place for kids to ride bikes. I visit the farmers market here every chance I get (happens every Sunday). My wife and I bring the dog to the off-leash dog park, and then visit the market. Yes, dogs are welcome in the market area. This place has a fantastic play area with this ginormous spiderweb like climbing place. And a cool dog park. Only issue is some people arent watching their dogs and letting them get a little aggressive with the other dogs. As of Jan 10, 2019 the playground structures are under construction. The 4 little kids with us were very disappointed but it turned out fun when they realized there was tons of grassy space to run and be wild! It is still a great park even when the play structures arent available!

Mixed Review. I love this park but I also dislike that there is a whole farmers market but the baseball diamond is closed. I dont want to go there to play baseball but the limitation in parking is a joke. I like to drive up and park there occasionally before I start my morning walks. Hopefully they change this. I grew up in Carmichael and Carmichael Park was the place to hang out with friends and family.It really disappoints me that it feels like now when I go to the park, it is starting to look like a campground for the homeless. I want to give this park a higher review, but theres just too much I cant look past. The only saving grace is the fact that there is a farmers market in Sundays and Food Truck Thursdays. The presence of bums in this park has increased significantly in just the last two years. As a result, we dont take my 3 year old nephew here, because they are EVERYWHERE! Furthermore, the size of the park is deceiving, because you think there is a lot of picnic space, but upon further inspection, youll find out a very large portion of the park is dedicated toward disc golf, a dog park, and an amphitheater that rarely gets used, except by skateboarders. If youre looking for a more family-friendly park, I suggest going elsewhere.

The fields are huge, even featuring two large baseball enclosures. There is plenty of room to run around. The play structure is directly in the sun, which makes it hot to play on, and the play structure itself is a bit old fashioned and simple. The park itself is wonderful but if you are a person of color you will get stared at there are some people in the world that feel that you should be not in their presence or around them or breathing the same air that they breathe and I say this because I just left the Farmers market there is a mobile taco business that I follow because their tacos are amazing while there I had a stare down I was minding my business and I happen to look to my left and there was this man standing in a defensive pose with his legs spread apart his arms folded staring at me the whole time he never smiled he kept that same old defensive body language and expression on his face that spoke very loudly. But unfortunately thats his problem not mine get over it this is the 21st century I can go anywhere I want to go.

We are here for the saturday farmers market. It is from 9 to 2pm every saturday. It has some great vendors. The lumpia is amazing. They have freeze dried fruit that taste great. It is a dog friendly event so that is fun to. We love our doggies. Lots of organic produce as well.

Farmers market there has so many vendors selling a wide variety of different things. Personally I esp love all the home made jellys section. Flavors youll not find just any place. Jewelry, fresh local veggies and fruit, cheese, specialty bakery goods, flowers ... I could keep going but I recommend that you go yourself and check it out. I have a sweet 5 year old dachshund, and this is her favorite place. Since shes my best friend, I take her to Carmichael Park just about every day. Inside the park they have Canine Corral, a dog park that has a separate area for large dogs and a separate area for small dogs. If you ask me, this is one of the best dog parks around. Both the large dog side and the small dog side are quite spacious with huge mature shade trees, a well manicured lawn, chairs, benches, water bowls and a kiddie pool for the dogs. They provide poo bags, dog owners are responsible for picking up after their dog.For the most part, all the dogs play very nicely together. Its very important for dog owners to pay close attention to their dogs in the park because anything can happen. You want to make sure your dog is fully vaccinated to prevent contracting any illnesses from other dogs, not that Ive ever had that happen. Please do not bring your female dog to the dog park if shes in heat. Lol. And if you have an unneutered male dog, please be prepared to watch him very closely. There are a few dogs that are not neutered and sometimes two unneutered dogs can have a problem with each other, not to mention an unneutered dog can be a problem for some female dogs even the ones that are spayed.The dog park is ran by volunteers and members that donate their time or money to help maintain the dog park. This is my dogs very favorite place in the whole wide world!This is also a very nice place for the dog owners. Theres a nice walkway That goes around the perimeter of the inside of the dog park on both sides for people to walk. For many of us, we get a lot of our steps in for our fitbits, walking around and around on the little walkway track while the dogs are playing in the park. Its really nice. Not to mention the people at the dog park are great! Ive met a lot of truly good real friends from the dog park. But if youre the kind of person that doesnt want to talk to people at the park you can just do your own thing and no one will bother you.Another great thing about this park, the sheriffs drive-thru here often and keep trouble out of the park. Ive never had any kind of problems or any safety concerns while at Carmichael Park.Lastly, this Is one of the few dog parks around that have lights and stay open late. In the summer time, when its quite hot outside, I find it too hot to enjoy the park during the middle of the day. Sometimes in the summer it doesnt start to cool down until 7:00 or 8:00 at night. The good news, they have lights in the dog park and the lights stay on every night until 10:00 p.m. . The front gates At the entrance of the park stays open until 11:00 p.m. theres many of us that bring our dogs to the park after 6:00 p.m., sometimes not until 8:00 or 9:00 p.m. because we have work during the day and cant get there earlier, or its too hot during the day in the summer and we want to come after it cools down.If you have a dog, theres nothing that would make your dog happier than to bring him or her to Canine Corral at Carmichael Park. The dogs absolutely love it!

Carmichael Park is a great place to take your young children to play on the play structures. My Grandson loved these when he was little. Its also a great place to have a picnic with plenty of old heritage oak trees. The grounds are well kept and they have decent bathroom facilities. The park boasts a band concert stage. You can see anything from California Pops Orchestra Band plus others, or you can watch fun rock bands. They also have a Founders Day Event, food truck nights, Christmas Tree lightings and much more. The downside is the homeless that sometimes frequent the park; however, their has been a concerted effort by Sacramento County and the Sheriffs Department to reduce this national challenge. Thats the only thing keeping me from rating 5 stars.

Myself and a friend went to view a car for sale( owner was playing frisbee golf.) We were so impressed by the games, the amount of teams, along with the amount of people enjoying the park, dog park and frisbee golf areas. There were also numerous people playing tennis and baseball with snack bar! All of this after dark!Never not once did my friend or I feel stressed about being two women alone, after dark in the park.

The community center makes bomb pancakes that support veterans on Sundays, and theres always events going on. It’s pretty much as I remembered it from back then, except for few facilities that were added. I love this park. They have all sorts of events and most are free. The only issue others complain about is the homeless that gather in groups all around the park. They dont bother me or mine nor have i had any issues.
