2024-01-19 22:46:33I am very satisfied with my recent experiences and purchase from Carmax. Purchased a 2013 Rx350 and the vehicle had to be shipped. The shipping process was timely and I was well informed of when the vehicle arrived and was ready to view. Went in on a Saturday morning and was able to complete my purchase within a few hours. Also did a trade in and was very happy at how smoothly that went as well. Had the vehicle examined by my mechanic and did find some items that needed attention. I brought those items to my sales consultant Godfreys attention and a service appointment was scheduled. CarMax took care of all of the issues that were found excluding some normal maintenance items. Service was timely and quite thorough. Communication from start to finish has been fantastic and I would highly recommend CarMax to anyone looking for a vehicle. Yes. Their prices are perhaps a little more expensive than other dealerships. But with my very pleasant experience and the amount of repairs that were put in to my vehicle under their warranty it was well worth the additional price because of its great value. Highly recommended.

Last Friday afternoon, I purchased a beautiful and exceptional car from CarMax in Inglewood, and Jose Gonzalez made this purchase a truly stress-free and even pleasurable event. Jose is kind, accommodating, and very, very knowledgeable about every aspect of CarMax operations (employee since 2017). And his understated, unassuming nature put me as a customer completely at ease. I absolutely LOVE my new Hyundai Sonata Sport. It looks and feels like a new car that I drove off of a Hyundai lot, not a used car. Thank you for everything, Jose!!! You are everything a good salesman should be! This was my first purchase from CarMax, and it wont be my last.

2024-03-07 14:18:04Actually bought a car the other day. As far as car buying everyone knows it sucks. But here at CarMax, it was actually pleasant. Jorge was friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, no pressure down to earth kinda guy. It was the best car buying experience I’ve had. Of course it took about 4 hours but when is buying a car quick? I sold them my old car which by the way was the highest of the places that gave me estimates for it. Made a nice down payment and even pocketed a nice check to ease the stress of car purchase. Highly recommended. It’s how buying a car should be!

2024-03-18 15:07:49I did everything online and when I did have to go in because an error on my end, I worked with Armando out of the LAX store. He is awesome. He kept me engaged, made small talk while I waited for them to wash my car. We had good laughs, it was the best car buying experience I have ever had. After it was ready, we went out and he explained everything about the car to me. How the hybrid charges and that it had eco as well as hybrid. He showed me how to program the car garage opener to my garage. I would definitely recommend CARMAX to my friends and family, and have them to request to work with Armando.

Found it extremely easy to use and within 2 days we were at the dealership in Irvine (excellent sales staff!) purchasing an awesome Toyota for his first car! Great experience! Thank you!

2024-05-14 19:40:39Many years ago brought a car there.It had some problems, but luckily for still under Warranty. So,I took car to Ford Dealership which was outstanding in support of their product. Car Max, Not So! Went to Car Max for a friend. Not one sales person approached me. I roamed the car lot on my own. Which I did enjoy. Saw good prices. So that is in their favor.I left with good ideas.. Glad a salesperson wasnt or didnt want to be bothered... Thank you!

2024-05-14 01:39:51UPDATE: I returned the car. After the car breaking down three times and having it be towed to the service center, I came into return the car that took an over two hour process.The process of sending a car from one location to another was great. I came in to see the Volkswagen Jetta I had moved and Stephanie took care of me. The test drive was great and I was excited to sign. Stephanie was great in helping us but the process took 4 hours, in which we ended up having come back the next day to sign all the paperwork. When I came to sign the paperwork the next day, it was obvious there was no communication between my sales associate and the finance team. Finally after all the paper work was completed, I drove my car home off the lot. We then noticed once I got home that one of the headlights were out. After two weeks of driving the car, it randomly shut off in the middle of me driving it. I had it towed to the service center where I had the worse customer service ever. Every time I called to check up on the status of the car, the associate on the phone kept asking me what was wrong with the car and what they wanted them to do with the car. So finally after three times on the phone, which was calls I made to the service center, they agreed to run diagnostics on the car. The next morning, I called again to find out the status of my car and when I could pick it up and the associate on the phone had informed me it was ready to pick up and when I asked what the issue was she said the technician would be able to explain it to me when I arrived. So I left work early to come pick up my car, I arrived and talked to a male associate that looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language that he didn’t understand. Finally when he comprehended what I said he finally grabbed the keys and my file and said that my oil was low and needed an oil change which they performed. I asked why the oil was low since the car was only purchased two weeks prior and that the car was allegedly serviced prior to my purchase. They had no answer for that and I did tell him not only that but the light was out and all my fluids were empty which they replaced that day. It seems at some point the fact of my car being serviced was untrue due to all the missing services that was noticed by not only myself but the technicians at the service center.

My mother who is up in age had a hard time filling out the paperwork, and he was patient and understanding. Literally the best experience Ive had in a long time and I rarely leave reviews: thanks Tony, they definitely need to give you a raise.

2024-05-11 14:22:10Fantastic experience from start to finish. I knew I wanted to buy my car online. I am an extreme introvert, who hates small talk. I would rather stick two hot pokers in my eyes than deal with car lot salesman. So, one of the main factors for deciding to go with Carmax was how easy it was for me to one, find a phone number to call them, and two, how easily can I talk to a live person—and it was pretty easy. I knew from this, that I would have all my questions answered (no matter how stupid or trivial) without the car salesman lies and intrigue, and that gave me peace of mind.No tricks, no hassle, someone always at the end the phone to answer my questions. Didn’t feel like I was getting swindled at any point. Checked all my boxes!Sales process was easy, salesman was professional, accommodating, courteous, and experienced. Got my car the same day I went to look at it. It was extremely fast.This was my second time buying a car from Carmax and I have to say this was even better than the first time. This is even more of a professional operation. It’s well-staffed and efficiently run. Overall really great experience!
